Banish Resource Central Tab?
I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 on a Win7 64-bit system. Each time I launch a project in Premiere Pro, the Resource Central tab pops up and demands immediate attention. I've used ResEdit to shut off web access to Resource Central, but it complains bitterly that it can no longer connect to its master.
Is there any way to simply banish the Resource Central tab from my projects?
Why don't you just close the panel? If you close a panel, it should stay closed. You could go one step further and save a new workspace after closing the panel, and use that as your default workspace.

What do the Score Bundles cost ? (Resource Central) SB CS5
I am considering buying Soundbooth CS5 and understand that I can purchase additional royal free music scores by using Resource Central within SB. What do these bundles typically cost? Is there a link I can go to see what is offered before I buy SB? I called Adobe and after speaking with 3 different representatives, none could tell me prices or what is available.
Are you looking at the SCORES panel in Soundbooth, or the SCORES section within Resource Central? Soundbooth itself ships with 2 scores installed. The remaining scores are downloaded via Resource Central, which has separate tabs for Sound Effects, Scores, and News. Under the Scores tab, there should be a dropdown to select different genre's, each of which should contain several scores for preview and download.

hello I have problem with resource central in Encore, I want to download templates (I dont have them because I have CS4 downloaded, not on DVDs). My first problem was I couldn't even join resource central, but I fixed it by removing config file from Required folder. In my resource central I just can´t see anything other than the news, it seems that entire menu bar is missing. just take a look at screenshots.
I found this here on forum, that's probably how it should look like:
But screenshot from my PC looks like this:
So if you could help me or lead me to solution I would be very glad.
PS> Resource central in Adobe Soundbooth works perfectly, I have Master Collection purchased and installed on my Windows 7.Thanks for the info but it is actually CS4 that Im having the issue with.
I have an open support ticket with Adobe but as of yet still no luck for a fix.
Have tried updates, recreating the preferences file, reinstallation..... no joy -
Please anyone whit same problem tell me something i need a solution...
Best regards,
Luís Vaz de Miranda.I do not believe the Resource Central exists anymore. You can download the CS6 full library.

Resource Central missing in Premiere Pro CS6
I don't see how I can access Resource Central in CS6. Does it still exist?
it seems (hope I am wrong) that Adobe is slowly removing features that were in the Suites to make it more attractive to move to their Creative Cloud rental model.
I question that. There's nothing in the Cloud that replaces Resource Central or CS Review. And you don't need the Cloud to get Story.
Creative Cloud is just another way for folks to get Adobe software. You can buy, or rent. Same end product either way. (With the exception that Cloud users get new features right away, whereas purchasers must wait for a full release to get those same features.) -
again? ok. As adobe creative cloud member, I installed Premiere and resource central is missing
Good luck...

Unable to download/preview sounds or scores from Resource Central in Soundbooth CS5
I'm trying to download sounds and scores from Resource Central in Soundbooth CS5, but I get the following errors numbers:
(404) Error:0 when trying to download
(0) ioError:-1 when trying to preview
However, the online indicator is green and I am still able to view and search through the list of sounds/scores, so I am not sure what is causing the errors to occur. This didn't happen to me until after the start of May 2013.
I've tried restarting Soundbooth, but the problem still persists.
I'm running Soundbooth CS5 on 64-bit Windows 7.It is probably simply gone. SB has long been deprecated and "start of May" sounds exactly like the files simply went offline. Haven't seen any announcements on that, but I'm sure they exist somewhere...

Loopology and Resource Central Files, Audition CS5.5
I am using Audition CS 5.5 on a Mac running 10.7.4 (not sure it matters). I downloaded all the Loopology files and expanded them into the Audition folder (into a folder named "Loops"). I've also downloaded a few of the files from Resource Central.
I have two questions:
1) Where do the files go when you download them from Resource Central (where can I find them)?
2) What do you do with the Loopology files to make them accesible to Audition? I can't imagine having to import each one of them and listen to them individually to see if you want to use it or not.
Unfortunately, I can't find details or instructions anywhere.
Thank you in advance.
LloydI've been neglecting the forums the past week, so I haven't had a chance to respond.
Assets downloaded from Resource Central are placed in the shared Users location on Mac OS X. Generally, this is /Users/Shared/Adobe/Resource Central/Audition-4.0 (en-US)/
Resource Central has been discontinued as of CS6. All downloadable content has been placed at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=auditionloopology and each category may be downloaded and placed wherever you like. -
Resource Central not working in Audition CS5.5
I can't preview or download any sounds, music, etc. from Resource Central in Audition.
I'm investigating an issue with the content server for Resource Central right now. In the meantime, all content is available for direct download by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/audition_extras

Resource Central not working in Audition
I'm using Audition CS5.5 on a Windows 7 machine and I'm having trouble with downloading certain sound effects from the Resource Central panel. I can play a preview for every file, however I get an error message when I try to download..."We're sorry, but there was a communicating error with the server. Please try again and if the problem persists, contact Adobe Technical Support. (200) error: 0"
Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?For example:
I can listen to the the Sound Effects preview of "Liquid Water Water Splash 11" or "Liquid Water Water Splash Small 02" but when I try to download it I get the error that I mentioned above.
What's frustrating is that I can preview AND download the Sound Effects for "Ambience Air Conditioner 180 01" and "Ambience Air Conditioner Level Three 01"...but I don't want these SFX right now.
Any ideas about why Resource Central in Audition is behaving erratically? -
Resource Central - Premiere CS4
When I try to open Resource Central, I get a message, "We're sorry, but there was an error communicating with the server. Please try again and if the problem persists, contact Adobe Technical Support. (505)".

Who needs a smelly manual. ;) Use the PDF version, it's much easier to search. :)

Forum FAQ -
Pardon my asking this simple question as I suspect I am missing something obvious, (I did a search of the forum and did not find anything on it)
Where and how do I access RESOURCE CENTRAL ?
I want to look at the new scores as well as the sound effects
Thank youThnaks Jeff
Knew it was something simple
BUT it does not want to connect - the little circular arrow just goes round and round -
In Pr CS5.5, running on a Mac, OS 10.6.8, when I access the Resource Central window, it shows "Offline" next to the red circle at the bottom right. How do I go online?
Thanks!Hi Alan,
While Soundbooth does ship with a collection of a few dozen Scores that are installed locally, Resource Central and the content available there is an online-only feature of the application and currently only accessible from inside Soundbooth.
However, your Soundbooth license lets you install and activate the application on two separate systems, provided only one is in use at any given time. You could certainly install it on your online computer, browse and download sound effects, then move them to your offline studio system for use there. You could even install Soundbooth in the trial mode to see if this solution is going to work for your needs.

Resource Central doesn't connect
Resource Central will not connect in Soundbooth. When I open it, it just displays a picture of an unplugged cable. I don't believe my firewall is blocking, it doesn't even try to connect. I am definitely connected to the net. How can I troubleshoot and or fix this?
thanksDurin,
I have traced the dns resolution as follows:
resourcecentraldl.adobe.com resolves to
resourcecentraldl.wip3.adobe.com which resolves to
resourcecentraldl.adobe.com.edgesuite.net which resolves to
a1545.g.akamai.net which resolves to
204.0.3.115 and 204.0.3.137
(finally hit a server, looks like a load balancer or cluster)
n0g.akamai.net = 64.86.32.188
n1g.akamai.net = 69.26.188.29
n2g.akamai.net = 69.26.188.44
n3g.akamai.net = 204.0.3.68
n4g.akamai.net = 64.86.32.198
n5g.akamai.net = 69.26.188.7
n6g.akamai.net = 69.26.188.39
n7g.akamai.net = 64.86.32.204
n8g.akamai.net = 68.44.123.147
(never resolved to the IP you reference above)
I have a laptop and a highend desktop I use for video and audio editing. The desktop ping would not resolve until I got to a1545.g.akamai.net, but the laptop would, same ISP and router on this end. I used the laptop to do the trace.
Based on this information I feel contacting my ISP for a solution will be a waste of time. How do we get Adobe network experts to look at this problem. I suspect there might be a timing problem because of the number of resolution attempts required to resolve.
