Bank data in Vendor Master

Hi, we have the need to supress bank/payment data in the vendor master (MK03, FK03, XK03) as well is in invoices (MIR4).  I know this can be done via Define Screen Layout per Activty in the IMG.  The problem this presents is that there are some users who have dispaly access only to vendor master data yet need to see the bank information.  Making the setting in the IMG to supress Bank information doesn't work, because the 'display users' wint the need to see bank information are not allowd to see the required inforamtion.
Is there an authorization object that can be used for this purpose?  If so, can you tell me which one?

Financial Accounting (New) -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable -> Vendor Accounts -> Master Data -> Preparations for Changing Vendor Master Data
You can see two step on this node,
First, you can define field groups with using "Define Field Groups for Vendor Master Records". Then you can assign changable field to this field status group with using "Group Fields for Vendor Master Records".
Then in PFCG call your role and find F_LFA1_AEN authorization object in this role. Then you must assign field status group which you created with using "Define Field Groups for Vendor Master Records" step" in PFCG.

    There are two tabs in vendor master data:
    1. Payment Transaction tab
    2. Payment Transaction accounting tab.
    Now i have 100 different vendors with all vendors having account in 20-25 banks. Even if the bank is same, these vendors have account in different branches.
    Now in SAP will i have to create so many bank keys for 100 different vendors?
    In payment transaction tab, there is only one field for our house bank for making payment through APP. What if i need to pay to different banks? Where i will maintain multiple house bank in such cases.

    Please understand that there is a total disconnect between the House banks(internal Banks) that you create in FBZP and between the vendor bank Accounts. For Vendor banks you don't need to create House Banks..but YES, you will have to create bank Keys as many as required to maintain Vendor bank details in XK02..Payment transactions tab.
    If you have more than one Bank from which you want to pay.. then maintain all those Banks in FBZP and link it to Payment Methods and when you run APP, you can choose which Bank you want to pay from..
    Secondly, while posting Invoice also if you are sure about the Bank that you want to use.. enter house Bank while posting..
    Thirdly, if you are sure about the Vendor that he gets paid through a particular bank only.. maintain that particular bank in the vendor master data.. and if you are not sure about the Bank.. keep it blank..and decide in APP variant which bank you want to pay from..
    Vendor master bank details of the vendors are used to send to Bank,.. so that the money can be directly credited in the vendor Bank account..

  • House Bank at the vendor master data

    What is the implication of entering the house bank at the vendor master data?

    When you are entering the house bank at the vendor master data it has the following implication:
    You cannot effect payment through any other house other than the one mentioned at the vendor master data and the payment program will ignore the ranking of the bank selection configured in the APP.
    See the F1 help documentation
    The key for the house bank is used if the customer/vendor is always to be paid by the same house bank. The bank selection of the payment program is cancelled with this entry.
    In otherwords it is like hard coding the house bank in the vendor master and it does not offer any flexibility in the APP.

    where do we maintain the bank details of the vendor so that they would appear in payment advise to bank( Developed form). Is it in vendor master details. Then
                How do we come to know which bank if the vendor has more than one bank account. How to display the same in the form.
    In short the relevance of bank details in vendor master and how to display them in payment advice(when multiple bank accounts are there)

    If there are multiple bank accounts specified in the vendor master data, and if it is required to select desired one while making the payment, then the field Bank Type can be used in the vendor master data.
    Against each bank of vendor specify a bank type say 0001, 0002 , 0003 etc...
    In the invoice, under the payment tab there is field name Partner Bank wherein you can specify the bank type mentioned in the vendor master. This will make sure the payment to this invoice happens through a specified bank.

    Enter XK01 - Create Vendor master - > Purchasing view you can maintain currency for vendor master.
    For check vendor master - XK03.
    You can change it with XK02.

    Hello,
    You have misunderstood the concept of Parameter ID.
    A field can be filled with proposed values from SAP memory using a parameter ID for that particular user. Normally in Finance, you can keep Company Code, Controlling Area etc. can ke kept as default. You find the Parameter tab in User Master Record in SU01.
    I am afraid that you want to populate the bank details in vendor master record. These fields are very critical for all types of payment. You should double make sure that you are entering the correct bank details in the vendor master record. If you do not fill any of these details, your BACS and CHAPS (DME) payments would get failed.
    If your client do not have details of bank information, the same can be filled later by writing a LSMW.

    May be you are asking about the Partner Bank Type (BnkT)
    Maintaining of this is not compulsory. In case if the vendor have more than one bank account.You have to assign partnere bank type to each of the bank account. If the vendor wants to have the payments in different bank accounts, that time while entering the line item you hv to enter this partner bank type in the line item.
    This is necessary in case if you are using automatic payment run and you want to pay it in to specific bank.
    Maintaining bank details is compulsory if your payment method is bank transfer.

  • Encrypt/decrypt bank details data in vendor master record

    Hello all,
    I need to be able to encrypt bank details data (i.e. bank key and account) in vendor master record before saving it to the database and subsequently decrypt this data when the payment program RFFOUS_T generates a file in ACH format to be sent to the bank for processing.
    If anyone could point me in the right direction (i.e. link to SAP documentation or other resource), I'd really appreciate it.

    Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I was out of town for a few weeks.
    I considered using an AUTHORITY_CHECK, but it'd only work if someone used a transaction code to view vendor master data (i.e. FK03, XK03, etc).  A custom report can easily be written, which will bypass an AUTH check and display all bank data.

    We donot have the data migration at our place . 
    My client wants to maintain the bank details of the vendor along with the MICR code.
    This is purely for reporting purpose .
    Kindly let me know if Payment transaction is the correct place to still do it ?
    Also where do i maintain the MICR code of the bank ?

    As per your issue while runing APP in F110 once complete parameters
    And go to Edit praposal and double click vendor and double click on line items than it will displays the one more screen there select Reallocate button there you can enter your respective bank details.
    Otherwise there is a Business Transaction Event 1810. You can see the code, looks like you  need to replicate the vendor bank details with link to a company code.
    Note:
    Assign Multiple Bank Accounts in the Vendor Master
    Your SAP system provides the functionality to store and use
    information from multiple vendor bank accounts in the Payment
    transactions screen of the vendor master general data via
    transaction FK03 (Figure 1). Figure 1 reflects the bank type
    determination logic I used in the vendor master, using the
    three-digit International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
    currency code as the Bank type.

    You can use the BnkT (bank type) field in the vendor master to
    enter text differentiators for identifying the vendoru2019s bank
    accounts. If you leave the bank type field blank against a bank
    account in the vendor master, then it serves as the default bank
    if the bank type information is missing in the vendor invoice.
    You may want to leave this field blank if the vendor has only
    one bank account and you want the system to select that bank
    account for all payments.
    If the bank type is blank for multiple bank accounts, then the
    system looks for the first bank account with the blank bank type
    in the vendor master to use as the default. You are not required
    to define the text values u2014 in my example, INR, SGD, and USD u2014
    elsewhere in your SAP system. The field allows any value up to a
    length of four characters. Iu2019ll demonstrate the use of bank type
    with vendor invoice later on.
    The system performs a check at the time of invoice creation on
    the bank type value used in the vendor invoice against the bank
    type values used in the vendor master. If you have not defined
    the bank type value in the vendor master prior to using it in
    the vendor invoice, the system shows an error message. The
    system performs the check to ensure that you are using a bank
    type value in the vendor invoice against which it can find a
    bank account in the vendor master. Otherwise, the system cannot
    determine a bank account for making payments to the vendor.
    Prerequisites for Vendor Bank Selection
    You need to take care of a few configuration prerequisites before
    you can use vendor bank selection in the automated payment
    functionality.
    1. Check the Bank details check box in the payment method as
    defined at the country level in transaction FBZP. This ensures
    the selection of the bank details from the vendor master at the
    time of the automatic payment run. If you donu2019t do this, the
    system does not copy the bank details into the payment IDoc that
    it creates as a result of the automated payment run (transaction
    F110).
    2. Make the Bank Business Partners field optional in the field
    status group attached to the vendoru2019s reconciliation G/L account
    by selecting the button under Opt. Entry for this field. This
    field maps to the Part.bank type (partner bank type) field in
    the vendor invoice. If the Bank Business Partners field is not
    optional and is in a suppressed state, then you cannot input the
    partner bank type field in the vendor invoice.

    Please check your Bank determination. Here you will have defined the ranking order for your banks. This is for configuration for your bank selection(tcode OBVCU). For the selection of banks in the customer/vendor master, check settings in the payment method company code. You have a setting for bank optimization. This settings you need to see. (T code -OBVU)
