Bank group

when creating bank key what is the use of field bank group

hi Vamshi,
In this field, you specify the bank key under which bank data from the
respective country is stored.  you manage banks using their bank number
In certain countries, the bank account number takes on this function;
then there are no bank numbers and the bank data is managed using the
account number.
Pls assign the points if it is usefull to u.....

  • Creating a Bank Group

    Hi All,
where can I create a Bank Group in the customizing of SAP?

    Hi,
    I think it's a free-entry attribute of a bank (FI01).

  • Could I use Bank Groups (BNKA-BGRUP) for Money transfer to pay vendors?

    Hi All,
with reference to the money transfer to pay vendors,
I'd like to know if, using Bank Groups, in F110 SAP can suggest me to use the House bank which,in BNKA, has the same Bank Groups of the vendor partner bank.
    Thaks for Your advices.
    Gandalf

    Hi,
As far my understanding of your question, you are asking whether by grouping the bank of ours with the vendor bank, so that in F110 it can be picked? If the same is what you are expecting, then it is wrong.
See, our house bank details are entered in table BNKA which will be created by t.Code: FI12.
Where as vendor bank details are directly updated in vendor master and in table LFBK it is updated.
So, you cant link between these.
    hope i am correct
    regards

  • How to create a group bank?

    Hi All,
Could anyone tell me how to create a bank group?
    Thaks
    Gandalf

    Hi Ravi,
First of all, thank you for your answer.
I found the data BG (bank group) in the follow customizing navigation:
Financial Accounting / Bank Accounting / Business Transactions / Bill of Exchange Transactions / Present Bill of Exchange Receivable at Bank / Enter Bank Assignment
There, you can see the field BG
    What about it?
    Thanks

  • The webpage (absa.co.za - internet banking) does not display completely, data is omitted on the left hand side. Works fine in IE.

Since it is a secure site, I cannot copy the page to the desktop for you to view.
There is a column of choices on the left hand of the screen that is not visible on this notebook (LG ES30) which is a week old. The page works fine on this machine in IE 9 and on my old Acer 7520, and has done so for years.
I think it is a question of resizing, but I cannot find any way to do this.
    Thanks,
    Derrick Benson

  • Payment Run Bank selection

    Hello Guru's
We have a situation where we want to make payments to vendor from diferent bank accounts. how can this be achieved?
    For example:
Vendor A should be paid from Bank account 1 during payment run
Vendor B should be paid from Bank account 2 during sampayment run
I know by using a different payment method is one solution but is there any other solution for this?
    Thanks in advance

Hi,  I think you could go to transaction OBVU select company code and payment method and then activate Bank Selection Control as 'optimize by bank group'.  I remember that I used once and It worked.
    F1 says:
Specifies that you wish the system to optimize the payment process by
selecting the optimal pair of banks (yours and the customer's/vendor's).
All banks can be divided up into groups for this purpose (you specify
the composition of these groups). When carrying out payment
optimization, the payment program will always attempt to select two
banks that belong to the same group.
In bank master data, you determine the bank group to which a bank
      belongs.
Then go to Bank master data (FI02) and assign bank group.
Another option could be to inform at invoice level the house bank from you want to pay.
    Cheers

  • F110 - how to spread payment as % to different banks ?

    Hello,
We set up vendor payments by transfer.
All payments to a provider must be a single transfer.
We want to spread the various transfers between several banks.
For the transaction F110, is it possible to set an allocation of the total payment as a percentage (%) between different banks?
    Regards.

I should not mention house bank in the vendor accounts because if one day you have no available amount in one house bank the vendors linked to this bank will not be paid from another house bank.
I prefer using optimization by bank group: in the bank data (BNKA), you enter a bank group for each bank and the payment program will choose for each vendor an house bank belonging to the same bank group, if possible. But the payment program will also try using another house bank if there is no available amount in the banks of the same bank group.

  • Qualified Table (Bank Details) Import Question

    I am using MDM 5.5 SP6
I am using the Standard SAP delivered Vendor Master Repository and trying to load the Qualified Bank Details table. Bank Details qualified table we have 9 non-qualified fields and 6 qualified fields.
Do we need to load the non-qualified fields in the bank detail table first?
Anyone help me with details about how to load this table including linking this to the main table?.  If anyone has any document explain the steps in detail then could you send it?
    Thanks in Advance
    Steve

First thanks to all who contributed.
I am able to load the qualified table but these non- qualified fields (Street, City, Swift Code, Bank Group, Bank number and Bank branch), I am not able to map it so after loading it was blank.
Out of the 9 non-qualified fields in the Bank Details Qualified table, Country, Bank Key and Bank name are DISPLAY fields and I am able to map and load these fields.
Other non-qualified fields such as Street, City, Swift Code, Bank Group, Bank number and Bank branch are NOT DISPLAY fields. While using the import manager and doing field mapping, for these 6 fields there is NO destination fields displayed. So I couldnu2019t map it.
When I made the above 6 non-qualified fields as DISPLAY fields, then try to map it, I am able to see these fields in the destination side and did the mapping. After import still those 6 fields are blank.
What I am missing here?.  Is there any limit that only 3 non-qualified fields we can map it?
    Steve.

  • House Bank Configuration/ Assignment

    Hi All ,
I need information on House Bank Configuration/ Assignment with respect to business area. Its very urgent.....
    regards
    PSNG

Bank that your company used for banking purposes.
It is also the first step for configuring your Account Payable Modules.
    FI12 - Configure House Bank
    House Banks
First Step: We first create House Banks. These are the banks for
your clients. Your client uses these for its banking transactions. One House Bank can have multiple bank accounts assigned
    to it.
During the implementation one can try to rationalize both, the Banks and the Accounts.
    A House Bank has
a Unique Bank Key. Bank Keys differ by each country's norms. The US Bank Key is called ABA (American Banking Association)
number. Normally each House Bank can have its own Company Code. In some cases, where the Banks use a different ABA key for
paper Transactions and a different one for Electronic Transactions, you Create Two House Banks instead of one for One
Physical Bank. Also, Two Bank Accounts will be created for a Single GL Account.
    T-Code: FI12
    Menu Path:
Financial Accounting > General Ledger Accounting > Bank-Related Accounting > Bank Accounts > Define House Banks
    Config
    Steps:
A House Bank is tied to a Company Code and each Bank Account is tied to a House Bank. So first we Select the
Company Code for which the House Bank is to be created.
The Create Bank icon is clicked and it brings up a pop up for
House Bank Identifier and House Bank Country. House Bank ID is a number decided by you. You can specify a number based on
    your numbering conventions.
The Next screen requires entry of the Bank Key - the ABA number is the House Bank country
selected was US. On this screen you also enter the House Bank Address data as well Control Data - comprising of SWIFT COde,
    Bank Group and Bank Number.
Once the House Bank data has been entered and filled up, you click on Bank Accounts and
you are taken to the screen to configure the Bank Accounts. On the Next screen click on the "Create Acct" icon.
    A pop
up comes up where you enter the House Bank Identifier in your system as well as the Bank Account identifier in your system
along with a text description. Once this is done, we get to the main screen where we enter the following
    data:
Bank Account: The Bank Account given BY the Bank.
Altern. Acct No.: This field is used when two
accounts at the same bank use the same account number. This situation may arise when the bank manages the accounts in two
different currencies. This field has a different number than the Bank Account field.
    Currency: This is the
currency in which the account is managed.
Control Key: For US Banks, this is used to identify whether the account
is a Checking or Savings account. The key is 01 for Checking and 02 for Savings. The Default value is checking account if
    nothing is specified.
GL Account: Each Bank Account is assigned to a GL Account Number. The Bank Account updates
    the GL Account entered here.
Discount Account: If the company uses the Bill of Exchange facility then we enter the
Cash Discount Account for Credit Memo Postings that this Bank Account should update.
    Bank Account
    Structure
It is important to have the right structure for Bank Accounts, GL Accounts and the Clearing
    Accounts.
It is important to know how much of:
    Confirmed Cash,
    Floating Cash out, and
    Floating Cash
    in
is available for the company on a particular day.
There should be Only One Confirmed Cash GL Account with many
Bank Clearing Accounts. So, the Checks Outgoing Clearing, Wire Outgoing, ACH Out, and Deposits clearing need to be set up
for each Bank Account. It is also important to leave room for additional clearing accounts that may be needed in future.
For this, we may have a range of 10 GL Accounts for each Bank Account. The numbering, for example, can have the GL Account
ending with 0 for each Confirmed Cash Balance (eg: 110000); each deposit clearing account will end up with a 1 (110001); each
outgoing check clearing account will end with a 2. each outgoing ACH account will end with a 3 and each outgoing wire
account may end up with a 4.
Check Lots and Void Reason Codes
The final step in configuring of the AP Bank
Account is to assign it to a check lot.
    Check Lots
If the company has a MICR printer then a blank
check lot can be used for Payables. The check lot determines the check number that is used on payments.
    The first
step is to bring up the "Check Lots" screen.
    T-code: FCHI
    Menu Path: Financial Accounting >
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check
Management > Define Number Ranges for Checks
On the main screen you need to fill up Company Code, House Bank number,
and the Account ID for which the checks are being created (?)
After saving the information click on "Change Status"
icon. This takes you to "Maintain Check Lots" screen. Most of the information will come filled up. You can enter the From
    and To check Numbers.
To create a new check lot and assign it to the account, you can click on the "Create" icon. In
the pop up enter the Lot number identifier and he range of the check numbers and also the next lot number if
    needed.
    Void Reason Codes
In SAP, it is not possible to void a check without a valid reason code. We
can have any number of Void Reason codes. There should be at least one Void reason Code configured in the
    system.
    T-code: FCHV
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business
Transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check Management > Define Void Reason Codes.
    Three Void
reason Codes come pre-configured - 1, 2, and 3. They deal with the problems encountered with the printers. There are
indicators to be assigned which define whether the Reason Code is due to Manual or Print program. Any codes created by the
    users are only assigned Manual.
    Payment Program Configuration
This step determines how to process
the payment transactions in the system.
The Payment Program is a series of steps within one Program.
    The
configuration occurs in table T042 and other variations of table T042 that end in a letter.

  • About Bank Key & Bank Number

    howdy colleagues,
Our banks are set up whereby Bank Key (banka-bankl) = Bank Number (banka-bnklz). In the country where I am working, the Central Bank is now requiring the bulk payments to be processed by bank group (previously by bank branch) e.g. one or more bank branches equal one group. As a workaround, I am considering the use of Bank Number field as the bank group. What I am figuring and confirming out right now is whether this field has a special usage that might affect the current payment program processes.
We generate bank transfer schedules and summaries developed via SAPscript. No IDOCs, EDI and special types of payments, just the basic bank/wire transfers.
I will appreciate any advice and comments.
    Thanks,
    Ron Almonte

    Hi
You would typically create one "House Bank" per Bank's routing number. So, if your company (read Company code) does business with a bank and have 5 account numbers with them, but they all have the same routing numbers, then just create one House Bank for that Company Code.
Next, you can create multiple Account IDs within that one House Bank. Typically, you would create an Acct ID for every account number issued by the bank.
You may also create multiple Account IDs for the same account number. Just use the bank issued account number over and over. You would do this if you want to attach each Account ID with a different G/L account. For example, your operational account receives cash deposits from customers and you issue payments to suppliers from the same account. Yet, you want to separate deposits and payments. Then, create two Account IDs say RECPT and PYMNT and set them up with the same Hopuse Bank and Bank account but different G/L account.

  • UPDATED info on Nordstroms/TD Bank take over....

Spoke with a scorce very close to the situation in the Nordies EO of credit services because I wanted a few things clarified. After a lengthy phone call, and some reassurrance, this is the breakdown..... 1).  TD Bank will own the debt, not service them. Officially takes over debt on October 1st. 2).  Nordstroms will continue to "service" the credit accts, meaning they still have control over approvals, and CLI on the existing accts, and upgrades to the Visa.   3).  When you call in (in the future)...you will still talk to a Nordies employee, thats not going away. They assurred me that Mr. Nordstrom made it very clear in negoiations with TD Bank, that keeping the relationship with the current cardholders was very important, and will stay active in this. 4).  Even the online accts is NOT changing.  Meaning you will NOT have to "re-register" you card on TD Bank  site.   5). Nordstroms will be sending out letters to all card holders very soon, about the change, and that the ONLY thing changing is that TD Bank owns the debt, they will continuehaving an active role.  This makes me happy.  She said for me to call her back after my acct is 7 months old and she will increase my CL, that will not change

I'm fairly certain this was the same echoing response that's already been floating around since the announcement (and likely the same that is given to other concerned cardholders reaching out to EO).  Doesn't really appear to be much news since the press release though.  Most of the info that you addressed with EO was known... I believe there were a couple more threads floating around in the Credit In The News area of the forums with similar info. Straight from BBR: Nordstrom and TD Bank Group announce strategic credit card relationshipPublished 27 May 2015 Nordstrom and TD Bank Group have announced an agreement under which TD will acquire Nordstrom's existing US Visa and private label consumer credit card portfolio, which currently totals approximately $2.2bn in receivables. In addition, the two companies have entered into a separate long-term agreement under which TD will become the exclusive U.S. issuer of Nordstrom-branded Visa and private label consumer credit cards to Nordstrom customers. This transaction enables Nordstrom to retain all aspects of customer-facing activities, aligning with Nordstrom's strategy of enhancing the customer experience while allowing for improvement in capital efficiency."When we began this process a year ago, our number one goal was to continue to take care of our customers directly. We are pleased to meet this goal through our collaboration with TD, a premiere global financial institution and experienced credit card partner. We found TD to be a strong cultural fit, sharing our customer-focused approach and providing capabilities to help us further enhance the customer experience," said Blake Nordstrom, co-president, Nordstrom, Inc."This agreement with Nordstrom, achieved through great partnership and collaboration, continues the success of our growing North American credit card business," said Bharat Masrani, Group President and CEO, TD Bank Group. "TD will be working with one of the most highly respected retail brands in the world and one with a well-established, national customer base. We are excited that they have chosen us as their credit card partner."
Under the agreement, Nordstrom will sell its credit card receivables to TD at the time of closing. The companies have also entered into a long-term program agreement under which TD, as exclusive issuer in the U.S., will own Nordstrom Visa and private label consumer credit card accounts and fund the associated receivables.Nordstrom will continue to perform account servicing functions, maintaining the current deep integration between its credit and retail operations. Nordstrom will continue to fund and manage the Nordstrom Rewards loyalty program, Nordstrom debit cards, and Nordstrom employee accounts. The terms of the Nordstrom Rewards loyalty program will remain unchanged as a result of this transaction. Nordstrom will be entitled to receive a substantial portion of net revenue generated by the credit card accounts.Subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, this transaction is expected to close in the second half of calendar 2015 and to have a minimal impact on Nordstrom cardholders, customers and employees.TD will fund the transaction with available resources. Nordstrom is currently assessing plans for the use of proceeds in a manner that aligns with its capital allocation approach of returning shareholder value. Nordstrom expects to provide a further update on the financial impact of the transaction in the second half of 2015.
