  • Bank Country and Bank Key?

    Hi,
Two questions which I am not very clear.
    1. For bank country, is the country the bank(branch) located at? For example, company in China have a vendor in US, and the bank of the vendor also in US, so the bank country should be US?
    2. Bank key. I heard that some country had a bank directory, and all will use a same bank key. Is this right? In China, and Hongkong, I did not find a defined bank key list, and we use our own naming conversion to define the bank key.

    Hello Kerry Liu,
Bank country is the field that identifies the country in which the bank is located.
The country key defines the rules according to which bank data, such as the bank and account numbers, is to be validated.
Bank Key-In this field, you specify the bank key under which bank data from the respective country is stored.
When you define the country key, you also specify the country-specific definition of the bank key.Normally, you manage banks using their bank number. The bank number in the control data for the bank is then displayed twice, that is, as the bank key too.In certain countries, the bank account number takes on this function; then there are no bank numbers and the bank data is managed using the account number.
For data medium exchange, you may find it useful to be able to enter foreign business partners without a bank number, even if there are bank numbers in the country in question. In this case, the bank key can be assigned internally.
To manage bank data using another key, for example, the SWIFT code, external number assignment can also be used.
Hope this helps. please assign points.

  • Bank key

    Hi
    all
can we assign  vendor's bankey key  or customer's bank as  a Housebank  bank'skey
if any restrictions for this   plz clarify
    Mant Thanks
    MvNr

    Hello,
Bank keys are defined at country level.
The bank key is nothing but it is identified the branch with a unique key.
The key that is going to enter in vendor master is the bank (branch) in whcih your vendor is having the account. But it is not what you have mentioned in the house bank in FI12. This is the house bank in which you are having account. Incidentally, if you and your vendor is having accounts in same branch, then the bank key will be the same for your and your vendor. In such case, you can enter the same bank key in vendor master.
    Hope I am clear.

  • What is bank key in house bank configuration

    hi
what is bank key in house bank configuration. is bank key same as our bank routing number.
    thanks,
    monica

    Hi,
You specify the bank key under which bank data from the respective country is stored.
Basically, your banks are managed by using their bank numbers. The bank number and the bank key are almost same for the house bank.
Like you said, you may define a 9 digit number that serves as a routing number too.
    Hope it clears your doubt.
    Assign points if helpful.

  • Bank keys selection on F110

    Hi All,
In the Customer master data ->payment transaction,
There are two bank keys (of same country) with different Partner Bank Type 'A' , 'B' are assigned
In F110 For the documents of type Direct bank collect, for some documents selected the first bank key and for some documents selected the second bank key.
On what basis, these Bank key are selected F110 run?
    Appreciated your quick response,
    Thank you,
    Swetha

The payment reference contains a key for customer line items which is passed on to the customer in the invoice. The customer should refer to the payment reference when making the payment.
For vendor line items, the key that the vendor passes on in the invoice is entered in the payment reference. In automatic payment transactions, the payment reference can be passed on again to the payee.
When an outgoing payment is made, the payment reference you specify is passed on to the relevant financial institute and from there to the payee.
When you are processing your account statement, you can use the payment reference to determine which items you have paid and then clear them.
PS: Check your field status variant of the posting key of the invoice and field status group field status (to the reconciliation account assigned in the customer or vendor master) - Make sure you have made these fields as optional, so that the user can enter the details.

    Ravi

    Hi
Check the Bank Value in country specific setting in SPRO.Currently it may be defined as 1 which is based on bank number and the Bank Number would have been defined as 9.Now change the Bank Key to 4 by changing the same you can assign bank key externallly.
Path in ECC 6.0 : SPRO -> SAP Netweaver -> General Settings -> Set Countries-> Set Country Specific Checks

  • Bank key and house bank

    hi,
    1) for bank ABC, it has many branhes through out the world. may i know if each country, this bank will have unique bank key regardless branches in this country?
say in china, it has 10 branches and all are using same bank key. correct?
    2) house bank is by each branch. correct?
    thanks

The bank key idnetifies uniquely the bank and the branch, otherwise the purpose of the bank key is defeated.  So the bank key uniquely identify the bank and the branch in a country.

  • Bank keys to be deleted.

    Hello All,
I have to delete some Bank Keys. Could anyone help me with the table name to delete the same ?
    Thanks in advance..
    Cheers
    Vijay

In the transaction FI06 you are able to mark Bank master records for
deletion. This is done per country and key. However, this does not
remove the banks from the master file.
In order to remove them you can run the program FI_BANKS_WRI for banks
with delete flag entered in the previous transaction.
Please, firstable run it always in test.
Afterwards you can delete the archived bank master data by use of
    program FI_BANKS_WRI.
This program can be started directly, however it is better recommended
to use Transaction SARA (archiving object FI_BANKS) or F61A for
    archiving bank master datas.

  • Bank Key giving error for ECC to CRM replication

While replicating BPs from ECC to CRM, the following error shows in the BDoc:
"Bank XXXX-YYY for Country ZZ does not exist"
To the best of our understanding, the Bank (branch: XXXX-YYY) detail is not available in the CRM, but where to make in CRM or why should it not be replicated from ECC when the same is created in ECC in the first instance itself.
    Seek your guidance please.

    Dear Leon,
Thank you for your advise and after going through the same I have the following to share with you:
Make sure that the Bank Key,Bank Key - FI01 Bank master creation is maintained .....
    >>>>>>>> Yes maintained.
After maintaining it,try to replicate using PFAL.
    >>>>>>>> For replicating what "object type" should I choose from the list, though i couldn't find any of the drop down entries having "Bank" or likewise. hence what object type to select for replication?
And check in BD64 whether the distribution model is maintained correctly.
    >>>>>>>> I checked but couldn't find the mention of any bank in the  model views available there related to HR / CRM:: "HRALECRM" or "ZHRCRMWFM"...........hence kindly advise where and what for should I look for?
"................., it is possible that bank data is not distributed, because the system to which the bank data is to be sent is not available or the settings in Customizing are incomplete or incorrect. Check SPRO
    >>>>>>>> Checked, system is maintained.

  • BUPA_SEND cannot find the Bank Key in GTS

    Hi
I have transferred bank master data using t-code /SAPSLL/BANMAS_DIRR3. I can see the bank in GTS. During the transfer the country ISO code was used as the prefix to the Bank Key (USXXXXXX) to make the External number. I then use BUPA_SEND to send over the account information which does not go over on the inital data tranfer. when I do this the Idoc cannot find the bank. The GTS  tables BNKA and BUT0BK are not populated. Should they? Has anyone had this problem.

    Hi Boer,
Is this bug resolved? If yes, please let us know the SAP note number.

  • Bank Key, user definable?

    Hi Expert,
I would like to ask whether SAP bank key is user-definable, or need to follow certain standard, naming convention specified by each bank/country?
This is becuase I found that I need this bank key for my electronic bank statement settings ...
Section: Assign bank account to transaction types,
and if I create bank key without following standard, how can bank file sent by the bank detect my bank key correctly?
    Thanks and regards,
    sbmel.

    Dear Sbmel,
Please visit the following link: http://www.ecbs.org/iban.htm
You will find there information about bank key rules- at least for IBAN countries...
Otherwise, like stated above- it is a part of country specific checks, IMG path as follows:
    SPRO-> SAP NetWeaver-> General Settings-> Set Countries-> Set Country-Specific Checks.

    Milen.

  • About Bank Key & Bank Number

    howdy colleagues,
Our banks are set up whereby Bank Key (banka-bankl) = Bank Number (banka-bnklz). In the country where I am working, the Central Bank is now requiring the bulk payments to be processed by bank group (previously by bank branch) e.g. one or more bank branches equal one group. As a workaround, I am considering the use of Bank Number field as the bank group. What I am figuring and confirming out right now is whether this field has a special usage that might affect the current payment program processes.
We generate bank transfer schedules and summaries developed via SAPscript. No IDOCs, EDI and special types of payments, just the basic bank/wire transfers.
I will appreciate any advice and comments.
    Thanks,
    Ron Almonte

    Hi
You would typically create one "House Bank" per Bank's routing number. So, if your company (read Company code) does business with a bank and have 5 account numbers with them, but they all have the same routing numbers, then just create one House Bank for that Company Code.
Next, you can create multiple Account IDs within that one House Bank. Typically, you would create an Acct ID for every account number issued by the bank.
You may also create multiple Account IDs for the same account number. Just use the bank issued account number over and over. You would do this if you want to attach each Account ID with a different G/L account. For example, your operational account receives cash deposits from customers and you issue payments to suppliers from the same account. Yet, you want to separate deposits and payments. Then, create two Account IDs say RECPT and PYMNT and set them up with the same Hopuse Bank and Bank account but different G/L account.
