Bank of America once again

Once again, and without obvious cause, my browsers (Safari and Opera) stopped allowing connection to BOA's website. The error is BAD REQUEST...your browser sent a query this server does not understand.
Apple's only solution, reinstall the OS (twice now). This is my first Mac and I guess I'll have to keep a Windows box so I can bank online.
It is not the browser. It is not BOA. It appears to be a permissions issue(?) as I can create another account and then access the website. It's dissappointing that Apple cannot figure this out. They had me move a number of cache and other folders and plist files without success. Are there any tru coders out there who can look "isde" these files for the answer?

I had a problem accessing the BOA site also. here is how I solved the problem:
Under System preferences, choose Network.
Select to Show Built-in -Ethernet. Select the ETHERNET tab.
At the bottom of this panel, select Custom under the Maximum Packet Size (MTU). Enter 1492 and click Apply Now.
Hope this works for you too. There seems to be a problem with the maximum MTU size of 1500.

Apps like Bank of America have Problems with iOS 7

When I upgraded to iOS7, I started having problems logging into certain apps that required a password. Apps like Bank of America, Etrade and Starbucks were all giving me a problem. I am sure other apps exist that may exhibit similar problems. I called Apple Support and they said other people were having similar problems. I thought I should post this so other folks experiencing the same issues may find this helpful. The solution that Apple Support gave me was to reset my iPhone, which is a real headache.
I finally figured out how to fix the problem. You have to set Safari to accept cookies. Once I did this I was able to log in successfuly to all of these apps.
Go to Settings > Safari. Look for a feature called Block Cookies in the Privacy & Security section. Set the Block Cookies option to "Never."
Once you do this, make sure to double click the home button and close the apps so they are not running in the background anymore. You don't have to close all the running apps. Just close the ones with which you were having a problem. You just double click the home button and flick the apps in the up direction to get rid of them.
Once you are sure the apps are not running in the background, try logging in again. With the Block Cookies option set to "Never," the apps should allow you to log in successfuly.

As an FYI, I had previously called Starbucks support and they are aware of the issue. Apparently an update / fix is in the works but the timing is uncertain.

Bank of America Platinum Visa (Slightly Secured)

Good Evening FICO Community, Well two months ago I received a mailer for a Bank of America Secured card offer. The beauty of this offer is that I only had to pay $99.00 and they would give me $500 CL. I read it twice to ensure I was reading the exact thing, and I was. With that new source of information, I decided to take a chance as this would lead me to having a Prime card with the current cards in my wallet. Well anyway, weeks pasted and no card, but a letter stating that I had been declined. I was kind of deflated, but two weeks ago I received a letter from BOA indicating that they had made an error with several online applications. Could it be, I was actually going to receive a card. Long story short, I called and they said they still had my application under review. Yesterday, in the mail I received my shiney BOA Visa with card member status 15. I almost cried! To some, that would not be big deal; however, I have only had my scores go over 600 once and that was at the time I applied online. Now they have dipped 20 points below, but I plan on paying off the balances I have. My real questions are; does anyone else have this card and if so did they increase it after a year or so?

I totally agree with you in regards to spending a little and PIF. Unfornately, I have balances on my CAP cards that I have to get down before I charge on the BOA. I am very excited to have received it as I never thought I would with my scores. I believe in second chances and I believe this and my Discover Secure are opportunities for prime credit offers again. New computer with Firefox 3.6.8 could not login to Bank. Used to work. The fix for me was deleting the bank's cookie. Got to Tools-Options-Privacy-Show Cookies-Remove your banks website and try the Login again. This worked for me.

10.4.11 Security update and bank of America

I installed the update last night. I attempted to access my Bank of America credit card account today. When I try sign in at the "enter online ID" step, I get a page the says: "Bad request, your browser sent a query that this server could not understand".
I have tried sign-on with Omniweb, Firefox, Safari and Opera. Cleared cache, cookies and history.I repaired permissions (after the update only), and used Macjanitor as well. Bank of America says that I must have installed a new firewall. By the way, I tried a sign-on with my kids Windows computer and that works fine.
Any suggestions?

I think I found the problem. BOA uses Macromedia Flash ( I think) on it's site. I went to my system library and deleted all preferences for Macromedia Flash and viola: I can sign on again. Perhaps this will help someone else.

Bank of America transaction description links don't work in Firefox..

Beginning with Firefox 21 and now with Firefox 22.0, I can no longer edit the descriptions of transactions in my online Bank of America checking account. Clicking on the links has no effect. This function worked in earlier versions of Firefox and it does work in the current version of Internet Explorer. Bank of America tech support blames Firefox for the incompatibility.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The offending extension was Ghostery 2.9.6. (an extension that monitors and suppresses tracing). I have now disabled it. Thanks again for the helpful suggestions.

Accessing Bank of America website on Safari for pc

I have a HP laptop and I prefer to use Safari over IE. I can access the Bank of America website; but, I can't enter my passcode in the field. I can see the cursor blinking, but when I type, nothing appears and the cursor doesn't move. I don't have this issue with IE or Firefox. I tried getting support from Bank of America and they went over everything with me and stated all my settings are correct; they recommended I contact Apple since I'm not having this issue with the other browsers.
Also, when I try to Empty Cache, Safari freezes up and I have to use Task Manager to close out Safari.
Any suggestions or help?

Perhaps switch to a different user agent prior to visiting the site (perhaps try one of the iOS ones):
To get access to the User agents via the Develop Menu, go into your Safari advanced preferences and select "Show develop menu in menu bar":
If you can enter your password while using a different user agent, log out again, and try going in using the default 5.1.5 user agent. Does 5.1.5 perform properly with the field now?

I think when uninstalling you may also have to choose (tick) to delete the preferences and other personal data like the bookmarks, stored passwords etc. to erase completely. If you are installing afresh, please try right-clicking on the file and '''Run as administrator''' to install. And when uninstalling, please also make sure choose to delete all data and also manually delete any '''Mozilla''', '''Mozilla Firefox''' or '''Firefox''' from %appdata%, %localappdata% and %programfiles%. You can open a location by typing for eg. %appdata% in the '''Run''' box (Windows key + R). You may also have to check the '''VirtualStore''' folder in %localappdata%. Files in the VirtualStore can be problematic. I think a clean installation may help.

MDT 2012 deploy OS from USB external drive failed - need to unplug and plug it once again

We are using MDT 2012 and deploying Windows 7 using media (USB external hard drive). We can successfully deploy Windows 7 32 bit using this method but there is a problem with deploying Windows 7 64bit. This problem appears only on HP EliteBook 840. We can
boot into WinPE 64 bit and can start proper task sequence, all image is applied then after restart, before logon screen appears there is an error saying that cannot find litetouch.vbs script. After clicking ok, I can logon to Windows and there is no usb external
drive recognized. But when I unplug and plug usb drive once again it is recognized by Windows and can be used. I can see that Windows install some drivers just after plug it again
I checked BIOS looking for some USB power options - there is no such settings. And 32 bit deployment works ok. So this is not a case. Looks for me like a problem with proper usb drivers for 64 bit. I download all drivers from HP website (driver pack and
drivers only for USB 3.0). We are using make and model matching in MDT - works ok for all the rest hardware models. Any idea how to troubleshoot it?

Not sure what's going on here. Is this a USB "Flash" drive or a USB "Hard Drive". There *Is* a distinction.
I *thought* that MDT would copy itself to the c:\minint\scripts folder to continue installation.
Next time, when you see this error, Press Shift-F10 to get into a cmd.exe prompt. Can you find litetouch.vbs on any of the drives? Does the USB Drive appear?
IF in fact, the USB Drive is not appearing after the 1st reboot, then you have a problem. Why did the USB 3.0 driver not install. Check the Driver Installation Logs to verify.

Report is not getting refreshed after changing prompts once again?

HI,
I am running some webi and deski reports using webi sdk also i'm handling the prompts of
report.
Problem is that if i ran the parametrized webi or deski report then my application shows the prompt page
then i fill all the prompt for the report it shows the data for selected prompt values.
But if i once again changed prompt values it shows data of previously selected prompt values not for
the currently changed prompt values. means reports not getting refreshed.
sometimes its work correctly.
What will be problem?
How can i resolve this issues?

then repeat.

Your system is missing a couple DLLs that LR needs, but the fix at Adobe is to copy them to the LR folder which gets replaced for each install, so you have to redo it after each LR install. It would be worth documenting the process and saving the DLLs so you don’t have to ask about it each time:

You might also use the AIO210 program to add them as detailed in this YouTube video—maybe this is a more permanent fix, but since the files are from media-fire be very careful about what you do so as not to install a virus on your computer.
I’d scan the downloaded ZIP you download with whatever virus and internet security software you have and don’t be fooled by extraneous popups you might see during the download process. I was able to download the aio210.zip after authorizing one Captcha window and closed at least one bogus popup trying to get me to install other software. So you are trying to reinstall Snow Leopard?
In order to do that, you need to erase your hard drive - you cannot go back to an earlier system without erasing. Make sure you back up your files first. Then insert the Snow Leopard install disk, and restart while holding down the C key. If that does not work, insert the install disk, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and highlight the install disk > click on restart.
Once you are booted into the install disk, go past the language selection and then to Utilities in the menu bar. Use Disk Utility to repair the drive (just in case), erase it and then install. After that, eject the disk and update to the latest 10.6.8.

You would need to call Apple Sales (USA 1-800-MY-APPLE) and purchase a redemption code for Lion.
