Bank Of America SAFEPASS popup disables number pad

When I log into the BoA website and do anything that requires security authorization, it prompts me with the SAFEPASS code. This works on any desktop and it was working on both my MB Pro and iPhone.... now it appears broke.
Here's how it is suppose to work:
1) you do something that requires validation
2) SAFEPASS popup appears with option to SEND CODE NOW
3) you hit the button
4) your phone receives the code in 3-5 sec
5) you enter that numeric into the field on the SAFEPASS popup
6) you continue with the session
Here's what's happening to me:
1/2/3/4 are all fine
5 --> the number keys on thE MB Pro and also on the iPhone are disabled.... it won't allow any character to be entered into that field on the popup.

Let me shed some more light on this....
If I'm on the BoA website paying bills, etc..... the number keys work perfectly for typing in numeric values. The only time they don't work is when the SAFEPASS popup appears and it's waiting for me to type in the numeric code they sent to my iPhone.
I understand the Flash issues with the iPhone but it was working on the phone a few weeks ago and I used it several times. I DON'T understand why it would not work on my MacBook Pro because it's fine when it comes to Flash sites.
I thought maybe I had hit something by accident and disabled something on the MB Pro or iPhone....but for both to stop working at the same time tells me it's something else. Is this a Flash/Safari VERSION issue ??
This was working before because I could do transfers to another account using the SAFEPASS...but now it's not.

Touchpad mysteriously enables itself, after I disable it and number pad does not work

I just purchased a HP 15 Touchsmart Notebook. I upgraded it to Windows 10 upon initially setting up this Notebook.I have 2 problems: 1. After disabling the touchpad, it mysteriously enables itself.2. The number pad on the keyboard does not work at all, even when pressing the num lock. I've researched the Internet and have come up with nothing. Please help Thank you

Ok.. I found how
First I turned off the wireless in both computers, then I turned off the firewall in the PC
after I plugged the Ethernet cable in both computers
I found the IP address of the PC in; start run CMD at the promt I wrote IPconfig enter
In the MAC I went to go connect to a server
I wrote the IP address in the server
In the user I wrote the admin user of the PC with its password
Yahooo!... conected and I copy the 200 gigs in 2,5 hours

I just updated to ios6 and now I have a hard time reading the number pad. Can I get the colors to go back to the way they were before? Or can I get rid of ios6?

Can I change the colors on the number pad back to what they were before the update?

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit.

Qosmio x500/02G Number Pad Not Working

I have a x500 that i recently purchased and installed Windows 7 Professional on it. Now i cannot use the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard.
I've tried using various combinations of NUMLOCK and SCROLLLOCK to no avail. Surely there a seperate number pad doesn't require drivers?!

The problem was a faulty keyboard. there was a bank of keys on the numeric pad that were non-functional.
A bit dissapointing given i'd had the laptop for less than 24 hours. Took it back to the store for a replacement.

Bank of America transaction description links don't work in Firefox..

Beginning with Firefox 21 and now with Firefox 22.0, I can no longer edit the descriptions of transactions in my online Bank of America checking account. Clicking on the links has no effect. This function worked in earlier versions of Firefox and it does work in the current version of Internet Explorer. Bank of America tech support blames Firefox for the incompatibility.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The offending extension was Ghostery 2.9.6. (an extension that monitors and suppresses tracing). I have now disabled it. Thanks again for the helpful suggestions.

Safari and Bank of America

I am NEW to Mac. I have a MAC Pro 10.4.9. Safari 2.0.4 (419.3). For the first couple of days all was fine then my Bank of America log-on would no longer work. I can open the home page for Bank of America but when I type in my ID and it attempt to go to the Site Key page I get the following error:
Bad request
Your browser sent a query this server could not understand.
Even though Bank of America doesn't include Opera as a supported browser, I have been using it for years on my PC. I also was using Opera on the MAC and it too no longer works. I made no updates and installed no software.
Of coarse, Bank of America blames Apple and Apple blames my ISP. Apple had me reset permissions and reinstall Safari...no fix. It still works fine on my Windows box. Any help would be appeciated. Thanks Chris

Hi Chris,
1st verify that you have cookies enabled for your Safari browser. Mine are set to always accept cookies and I am able to log into BofA without a problem.
To isolate the problem on your Mac, I recommend you try logging into BofA using another account. If you can access BofA from another account, then the problem is likely to be with either the Safari preferences or the cookies.
If the new user account works, then I'd experiment with deleting existing cookies (1st those associated with BofA) and try disabling Safari's preferences ... careful not to delete you bookmarks.
If you decide to try disabling the Safari preferences
(1) quit Safari
(2) move ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist to your desktop and run Safari
If the preferences have no effect, you can put them back. If that solves your issue, you'll probably have to trash them and start from scratch ... unless you or someone else can isolate the problem.

Is anyone receiving an eBill in Bank of America for their Verizon Wireless account? If so, what are your Secure eBill, Auto Pay, and Papperless Billing settings in your Verizon account set to?
I have been trying for weeks to set this up and every time I try to request my ebill from Verizon in BoA I get this email response from BoA
We're not able to activate e-Bill service for Verizon Wireless (account ***********0001) because: Verizon Wireless is unable to process your request for eBill enrollment, as your subscriber account is not currently eligible to participate. Please contact Verizon Wireless for details (W)..
Common reasons for this problem include:
Billing and service address inconsistencies. You should always use your service address, not your billing address, when enrolling for e-Bill.
Wrong account number. Make sure you use the correct account number when enrolling for e-Bill.
Primary and secondary account holders. Make sure you are using the primary account holder's information (such as name, Social Security number, or tax ID).
e-Bill enrollment at your biller's website. In some cases, billers don't allow you to register for e-Bill at Online Banking if you're already enrolled at the company's website.
I have tried all kinds of settings for Secure eBill, Auto Pay, and Papperless Billing. Does anyone know how to get Verizon Wireless eBills working in BoA?

Script error, when leaving Bank of America website and others

Using Windows 7 Home version and latest firefox 13.0.1, issue is a script error message when closing browser down, to continue to close, you click on "OK". Happens every time you leave a httpS website such as Bank of America. There are no crash reports being created by Firefox, therefore no ID.
Get firefox.exe- Application Error popup dialog box
Says "the instruction at 0x6f622947 referenced memory at 0x025d1e18, the memory could not be read, Click OK to terminate the program".

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Bank of America Past Due Question

Hello Everyone! So not to long ago I product changed my Cash Rewards to a Travel Rewards card and had automatic payments set up on my Cash Rewards but did not realize that the automatic payments did not transfer over to my new card. Now it makes sense as it's a new card #. I was lucky enough to catch it before the next statement and just set up a payment and auto pay. My question is would this count as a derogatory mark on my credit report? Will it also effect my history with BOA? I've never missed a payment so not sure how this works. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Something similar happened to me with Amazon store card. I had entered the bank account number incorrectly so my paid in full did nothing. Called immediately and explained what had happened and corrected my account number. No negatives appeared anywhere. That was Synchrony. I suggest calling Bank of America asap and explain and cite your payment record. Good luck! Ibm t30 alternate number pad - keys U I O J K L

How can you disable this alternate number pad on the T30? It's stuck on - a co-worker called me on the phone in another city, and has most regular alpha keys working, but the certain keys that make up the horizontal/vertical number pad on the keyboard is completely stuck on - how is this disabled/enabled?
Tried numerous FN commands, and absolutely no luck - seems to be only a problem when logged in - but before logging in, using the keyboard works fine.

Look at your keyboard carefully and find which key has the NumLk on it. It will be Fn+thatkey to toggle NumLock off and on.

The BoA TR card isn't a travel card like the CSP. It really should be compared to the Barclay Arrival+ or the Cap1 Venture. All three cards basically work the same way. All of your purchases earn points (1.5 points for the TR, 2 points for the others). When you have travel expenses, you can redeem the points at the best rate. Basically they are restricted cash back cards. These are the type of cards I would recommend for a frugal traveller. The true travel cards are better for someone who wants to fly first class, etc and has the time to research how to redeem the miles. Assuming VS and MC are equally accepted, the Arrival+ may have a small advantage in that it offers online Chip and Pin. The Venture will probably give you the best SL (tickets to the Philippines aren't cheap). Although, BoA isn't stingy. The Venture also has a very nice sign up bonus assuming you can meet the spend. The sign up bonus is about the same as the Arrival+. The TR card only shines if you can combine it with the preferred rewards program. Where you can be earning 2.625% cash back for all of your spend with no AF. IMO if you are at plat honor levels with BoA PR, you should definitely get the TR. Otherwise, I would carry the CSP, QS and debit card for your trip. If your credit report can stand a short term account, I would add either the Venture or Arrival+. PS. I assume you already know that you will probably need to carry some cash for when a credit card is not accepted. For that I would probably look into a debit card with minimum fees for international cash withdrawals. I wouldn't want to carry too much cash on me.

Number pad not responding

The number pad of my Apple Keyboard on my mac mini G4 and Panther stopped working a couple days ago. It failed to respond after switching USB port, Disconnecting every other device, and buying a new keyboard didn't help either.
Tried connecting the mini with an IBM PC keyboard, but the number pad did not respond either not did its Num Lock light. Please advice on further actions.

Have you tried to give your iPad a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if it helps.
