Banners are not displaying on a website. I get a question mark instead. Only since i updated to firefox 5 about ten minutes ago. Any ideas?

I just updated my firefox browser to firefox 5. Since then a website that i am in the process of creating, has stopped displaying banners. Instead of the advert i was expecting i get a question mark in the top left corner.

Adbock Plus is a Firefox extension, not part of Firefox, you don't have it.

I see two banners and they are not blocked (they are legitimate)

Which is something to do with FaceBook. Appears in IE9, Google Chrome, Safari, all show the Facebook thing. Opera fails big time nothing but a repeated large button (>) with an arrow.
Might be the CSS code.

Popup pictures are not displaying on a website. How come?

Website has small pictures that should open in a popup to a larger one. The larger one doesn't display the picture. This works fine in Internet Explorer, so it's not the website that has the problem.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

My MacBook Pro will not boot up. I just get a grey screen with a "no entry" symbol and a spinning time icon. Any ideas as to how I can get over this issue?

Hi, I tried to start my MacBook Pro are 2 weeks and all I get is a grey screen with a grey no entry sign and a spinning timer. I have tried a reboot with shift cmd and v and it seems to be looping and referring to an external device. Only the power is attached. Can anyone provide advice on how to get past the grey screen? No.
As you can getto the Recovery partition, you can at least verify your disk using Disk Utility. If it reports that repairs are needed, you can try to repair but I've found that nearly 100% of the time repairing the disk inevitably FAILS. You should be prepared to, 1) buy a new drive for your machine and, 2) buy a good (see here) enclosure for your damaged drive to try to recover data.
After you get everything fixed, use at least two backup methods to keep your data secure. See Most commonly used backup methods.

My macpro buckled and broke up a year ago. A month ago got wet and I dried it near a heater. It froze and the mouse can not click the connection through. After three weeks I plugged in readjusted the date and it worked for about 20 minutes.. any idea?

My laptop macbook pro fell with me out of a truck and buckled last June 2012. It still worked although bent and open. A month ago it got wet and stop working and I dried it near a heater and it worked. The battery is dead. Then it froze on the screen the mouse can not grab the attention of the screen when it clicks. The track pad no longer responds and has buckled more. Then after three weeks of not touching it I plugged it in reset the date and connected and it worked. I began to back up my material and then it froze again.

Though the MBP may be disfigured, there is a real possibility that the HDD is still functional. Take it out of the MBP and place it in an enclosure and connect it to another Mac. You may be able to recover all of your data.

I have the same problem, but note: the problem is NOT that the dotted-line box is showing up per se; it's that favicons that used to appear on bookmarks no longer do so, even though a valid favicon exists for that Web site, and even though I visit the Web site again by clicking on that link and even though about:config confirms that favicons should be showing up.
In other words, favicons are not being saved or refreshed; they are all turning to the dotted box icon and staying that way, no matter what.
To repeat, the dotted-line icon is not the problem; it's the loss of favicons that appeared properly in FF7 and the failure in FF8 to update favicons after clicking on links.
In a possibly related bug, the Adblock Plus icon no longer appears in the Navigation Toolbar, even though about:config confirms that it should and even though the option to display in the Navigation Bar is checked and even though an icon does appear in the Status Bar and even though the add-on is installed and otherwise working normally.

Pages are not displaying properly

I am using EP 7.0 SP 7.0. Some of the pages (like new ivew creartion page, Identity management page under User Administration etc.) are not displaying properly. The background is showing totally white and only the buttons and text are visible.
Though these pages were working fine before.
Is there any configuration change which is causing this?
Any suggestion ??????

Hi,
SAP recommends to use fully qualified domain names, when using the portal.
For example, to enter into the portal use "http://machine_name.company_name.com/irj/portal., instead of "http://machine_name/irj/portal".
Failing to do so may lead to inconsistency in communication on client side between the page and iViews.

Edge animation-images are not displayed on my dreamweaver-site

My animation, which is inserted into a Dreamweaver-website, shows no pictures - only text elements when you open the page in the browser. In the live view and preview in the browser the images are displayed but on the Website they are not display. I have already set the file permissions to 777 - but it did not help.
When i open the Animation without my Dreamweaver-site - only the Animation in the browser the Images are displayed correctly.

Nodes and links are not displaying in IE10 browser - mapviewer ps6

Node and link are not visible on the IE10 browser where as in IE9 they are displaying properly.
In IE10 browser ,
when we set compatibility settings - Display All websites in compatibility view --> node are displaying properly.
when we deselect this node are not displaying properly
Is there any existing bug on mapviewer?

try opening Terminal, and running the following command in the Terminal window:
nslookup www.pinatize.me
If you still have access to some of those other Mac computers, try running the same command on them also for comparison.
Please include in your reply the full output from that command.

Pictures and texts are not displayed properly

Hello Apple users,
I've the 15 inch Macbook Pro with retina display, running Mountain Lion. I have noticed that when I chat with my friends in Facebook, the texts in the chat window are not displayed properly. This also happens when flipping through photos that were uploaded in Facebook. Also, pictures are not displayed properly in other websites. For example, today I was reading the news in the Guardian when I noticed that the top bar and a picture weren't displayed properly. The top bar should have showed News, Sports, Comment, Culture, Pensions, etc. all in the same line. Also look at the photo titiled "Should building socities do buy-to-let?" From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
If any extensions are installed, disable them and test.

Certain things are not displaying of pages

Certain things are not displaying that I know are there. For example, on one of my websites there are 3 banner ads and the bottom of the pages plus there is another line that has ads scrolling across the page, I can see it with IE or Chrome but on Firefox all I see are 2 banner ads and no scrolling ads. This is just one example but it seems 1that certain graphics or banner ads do not display. The site I mentioned is at http://www.ViralTrafficMania.com.
Other people with Firefox say it displays fine so it must be something in my settings but I can't find it, please help.

You don't happen to run any ad blockers or script blockers or privacy extensions, do you? To see whether any of your extensions could be responsible for the blocking, try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, click the "Reset" button.
Close all open IE windows and then start IE and try again.
Post consumer questions about IE to http://answers.microsoft.com (Help>Online Support menu from IE.)... at the answers forum you have to select what version of windows and IE you are using with your question...

You can also choose at answers your preferred language and receive an answer in your preferred language.
Also include with your questions to answers, the FULL address of any websites you are having problems with... so that the support engineers can visit and test the web page...
Just saying Facebook is not sufficient as when you say 'pictures' are not displaying...perhaps you mean 'video' pictures... also websites like Facebook have different addresses for different parts of the world.

My Social Media Icon are not displaying within FireFox. And all other browser your able to view Icons - For some reason is now displaying in FireFox.

Do you use any extensions that block ads? That occurs to me because the service you're using for social icons (addthis) has "ad" in its name and perhaps they are getting filtered that way.
To determine whether an extension is a likely culprit, you could disable that one temporarily, or you could disable them all by testing the page in Firefox's Safe Mode. Umlauts are not displayed correctly in different programs

I live in germany, but my locale is set to "en_US.UTF8" because I like to have everything in english.
I do not have any problems with umlauts on the machine, but when I connect with sFTP oder Samba to it, the umlauts in files are not displayed correctly.
Look at this example
The upper word is how it looks in "ssh putty" (=locally on the machine), the bottom one is from "filezilla" (from my windows host)

When I create a file "asd_aöü" locally on the machine (with the help of ssh - putty), it looks fine, but when I connect by samba or filezilla again the umlauts are not displayed correctly.
