I am using BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATEFROMDATA to create a contract. If I use a material other than a product, I get no error. If I used a product type material< I get an error statign that the material is not defined in sales organisation dirtibution channel langu EN (I have checked the material and it does contain text.
Any ideas what the problem is?

material is not extended to the sales org, etc., (see table MVKE) or you're supplying wrong combination of VKORG, VTWEG, SPART values.

  • Material not defined for sales org

    Hi,
when i try to select the item code in CUSTOMER-MATERIAL info. i cant able to get the item which created in MM01. and also getting the message .
"material not defined for sales org". can you help us how to resolve this one.
    thanks
    Bala

That means that particular material has either been created without extending the required sales views or material code has not been created.
Go to MM01,  key in that material code, select all sales views and execute.  Maintain the required sales area and save.

  • Sales document type is not defined for(sales org/division/distribution chan

    Hi Friends,
I am getting the error that sales document type is not defined for x/y/z(sales organisation/division/distribution channel). while creating sales order.
    Any pointers will be rewarded.
    Regards

    Hi there,
When you define a sales doc type in VOV8, you also should assign that to the sales area SA (sales org / dist channel / division).
Only then you will be log a sales order for a sales area.
Check if you have done it. You will find it in SPRO --> Sales & Distribution --> Sales --> Sales doc header --> Assign sales doc type to SA.

  • Ship-to party not defined for sales area

    Hi all,
I am really confused while creating a sales order, I need your help.
My sales org. - 1083, distribution channel - CY, Division - CW.
When I enter va01, in the initial screen I enter the above details. Then it goes to the create sales order screen where I enter my customer details.
After that, I enter my material number and quantity, it is giving me an error ship-to-party not defined for sales area 1084 CY and ZO ( other division) instead of 1084 CY and CW.
Where did I mess up ?
    Thanks,
    -Chandru

    Hi,
Go to SPRO - SD - BASIC FUNCTIONS - PARTNER DETERMINATION Just check whther your partner function (SH) is assigned to your account group and also exists in the partner determination procedure.
Just try and maintain it there against your account group and against your sales document type in VOV8.
Also open your customer master for which you are trying to create this sales order. Just check whther in the partners tab , SH is shown? You can either use transaction BP or XD03.
Let me know, reward points if helpful.

  • BP not Valid for Sales Org - Web Client error

    Hi,
We are currently upgrading from CRM 4.0 --> 2007. We have multiple Sales Organisations and different business roles. In the Web Clients we have a number of transactions. When we try and add additional users from other sales orgs to these activities/transactions we get the following error  "BP not Valid for Sales Org".
In CRM 4.0 for the various Interaction Centers we never got this error. We were able to add additional users from other sales orgs to transactions.
Mt question is  - How can we stop this error from occuring , so that we can add additional users from other sales orgs to these activities/transactions in the various Web Clients.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi,
This error is appearing for the addition of employees. These employees are set up in the Org model for the relevant Sales Org's, yet the error still appears.
How would you go about adding employees, contacts etc from different Sales Org's to transactions (i.e attendees for an audit) in a Web Client that is set up to be Sales Org specific.
    Regards,
    Dan

  • Ship-to party 147 not defined for sales area US DS 20

    Hi,
I am getting following error while creating a sales orcer with ref to contract
Ship-to party 147 not defined for sales area US DS 20
Points will be rewarded for satisfactory answer.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vinayak

    Hi,
After maintaining in US DS 20 it is working fine.
But normally we never maintain in US DS 20 for other transaction.
then why it is asking for this transaction.
we always create in US DS 10.
is their mistake while creating a BP or any SPRO changes required.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • BD64 Filtering Value (Sale org/ Distri Channel) need to get in EXIT_SAPLMV01_002

    IHi ,
In BD64, Under MATMAS Data filtration is set on Sales Org and Distribution Channel. When I am sending material from BD10 , I need to get these values ( Sale Org / Distribu Channel ). B'cos on the basis of these values I need to fetch PLANT from MVKE table by passing SOrg and Dchl .
I am reading Segment value in exit EXIT_SAPLMV01_002, but , these values are present at MVKE Segment but I need those values at MARC Segment and MVKE Segment trigger at last where MARC segment trigger initially , So I am not able capture values in Segment also.
On the basis on MARC-MATERIAL & MVKE-PLANT , I need to fetch TRLT (Lead Time) from MARC.
How to retrieve Sale Org/ Dch either from Filtration Set at BD64 or from MVKE Segment that is triggering later then MARC Segemnt??
    Regards
    Ankesh

    Hello Ankesh,
Modify MARC segment after MVKE is filled.
Please find the below sample code :-
    Loop at IDOC_DATA  into WA_ IDOC_DATA  .
    case wa_idoc_data-SEGNAM.
    when 'E1MVKEM'
READ TABLE IDOC_DATA into WA_ido WITH KEY segname = E1MARCM
    if sy-subrc = 0.
*write your logic here and modify idoc_data
    endif.
    endcase.
    Endloop.
    Thanks

  • Product is not valid for Sales org and distribution chain

    Hello friends,
When i am saving the trade promotions , i am getting error message
"Product XXXX is not valid for distribution chain XXXX, XXXX"
I have maintained sales organization and distribution channel in commpr01 under sales and distribution tab.
    kindly help.
    Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi Srinivas,
the error is raised from the trade promotion CCA check - raised from method CL_CRM_MKTGS_PD_CCA_CHECK_HDLR~CHECK. There are the following checks performed:
    * There are several checks to do based on the distribtion chain
    * Execute the checks and identify which products fail which check
    1. *   Determine if the product passes the distribution chain check
    2. *   Determine if the product category 1 of the product assignment
       *   passes the product category check
    3. *   Determine if the product category 2 of the product assignment
       *   passes the product category check
    4. *   Determine if the product group of the product assignment
       *   passes the product group check
    5. *   Determine if the sales status of the product is set to blocked
You may also need to check the sales and distribution data of the product category or product group of the mentioned product, if this is assigned to any.

    dear All,

"Ship to Party x is not defined for Sales Area".
    2. while creating Customer Master I got the following error.
"Sales Area  xxxx  10  20  is not defined for customers,"
Can any body send soln ASAP.
    Thanks and Regards
    RAMS

    Hi,
i think u have done this
    Define Sales Area
    SPRO
    Enterprise Structure
    Definition
    Sales and Distribution
    Maintain Sales Office
Go to New entries and define the sales office
Go to Address Icon and maintain the details and save it.
Now Maintainain Common distribution channel and common division. common distribution channel and division helps in sharing maste data effectively. Assure you have 10 sales areas. it will b painful process to define a customer at all these areas. instead, it will be wise to create a common distribution channe and division. this can be used as a ref dchnl and divn fo other dchnl and divns. then the master data can be effectivel shared
Go to Spro: Sales and distribution: Master Data : Define common division and disrtibution channel.
    Hope this will help you.
    Reward ?Point if helpful.
    Thanks,
    Raja

  • Combine sales org. dist channel & division

    Dear Gurus,
What is the use of combine sales org, combine dist channel, combine division?
We assign sales doc type to sales area not to individually sales org, dist channel & division?
I cud nt understand sales org with ref 2 sales org, dist chnl with ref 2 dist chnl & with division also?
Wt is the logic behind that? Kindly give logical answer?
    Regards
    Rakesh

    Dear Rakesh,
As GSL rightly mentioned that the use of Combine sales org. dist channel & division in addition to that,
I can say in one sentence what is the logic behind Combine sales org. dist channel & division.
"To share the sales document types to all sales areas"
It is like common divisions and distribution channel through this we can share the master data for all slaes areas which is maintained in one sales area.
But in Combine sales org. dist channel & division we share document types to all sales areas which are assigned to single sales area.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.
