HRMS Advanced Benefits, Create Potential Life Event for Current Life Event

Hi,
While converting historical benefit information to Advanced Benefits module there is a step to Create Potential Life Event of Current Life Event.
Per my understanding a Life Event is Change in marital status to add spouse or having a child for benefits. What is Potential Life Event?

In advanced benefits all the data is stored on person in life event basis (BEN_PER_IN_LER) which is a combination of person and life event.
So when ever any event occur in a person life it is trigger as a potential life event. After successful processing of life event life event data moves to person in life event which will further has transaction data attached to the life event like enrollments, rates, beneficiaries or depenedents.
e.g like a person hires and add dependent at the same time there will be two life events "New Hire" and "Add Dependent". These are both potential life events. Once you run the participation process or run the life events only one might be processed (the way you set ur collapsing rules).

This development was done almost 4 years back and can give you the general overview of the solution.
The program is done in 3 steps
1. Characteristics creation
2. Update Characteristic values
3. Create master grid number using IDOC.
1. Create characteristic.
              BAPI_CHARACT_CREATE - BAPI to create the characteristics
              BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT - BAPI commit to characteristic
2. Update Characteristic values
BAPI_CHARACT_CHANGE -> BAPI to update the value of the characteristics.
              BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT - BAPI commit to characteristic
3. Create Master Grid
             Use FM IDOC_CREATE_ON_DATABASE to create the idoc and FM
              APPLICATION_IDOC_POST to post the idoc
The Basic type & Message Types are J3AGRI02 & J3AGRI

BAPI for training and event management

Hi all,
I need a bapi that returns the list of the attendees of a training course.
I've seen that a FM exists: RH_GET_PARTICIPANTS and i know how it works.
I would like a standard BAPI to be called by an external system.
If it doesn't exit I will create a remote FM that calls the RH_GET_PARTICIPANTS.

Hi Enzo,
I don't think there is a BAPI.. but you can create one using the Method 'Display Attendance' for the 'Attendance' Business Object (PDRELA_025) in Tcode BAPI. But I think creating an RFC that in turn calls RH_GET_PARTICIPANTS is the easy way out.

Go to MM41, enter your article A1 and vendor 1.Select purchasing view then enter your purchasing group and purchase price for that vendor1 and save it.Again go to the same purchasing view and click validity area, you will get a pop up box where u can enter
your vendor 2 enter your purchasing group and purchase price of vendor 2 then save it.Do the same for yr other 3 vendors.

How to close/process a life event automatically

Hi,
I am looking for a solution that can process "termination" life event automatically so there is no need of manual intervention.
Just like there is a close enrollment process for Annual enrollment, can we setup something on similar lines and schedule a process that will take care of events like "termination" as well?

Participation Process : Life Event will do it for you. It works for all life events including termination. If you want to schedule it specifically for terminated employees, choose the person type for ex-employees.

QM Orders - Funktions/BAPI for Changing

Dear all,
I have to mass change the Profit Center and the Cost Center in the QM Orders.
I can not find a function or BAPI to change the data. Can anybody give me a tip - please.

1) Write a program to change the costcenter and profit center in the table
2) You can replace the existing order by creating new QM order using the BAPI BAPI_INTERNALORDER_CREATE

Life Events Created for Dependents in Detected Status

Hi! Please help me understand this.... When a life event (Ex: Ineligible Dependent) is processed for an employee to end the ineligible dependent coverage, a New Hire Life event is assigned in detected for the dependent. What is causing this and what should be changed to stop this. Thanks and Appreciate your help.

I made some changes on the desktop end - changed the MBEx password from 'admin' (which it was giving me errors as well), to my own password. I added this new user/password to SCCM, MEBx account configuration. I ran another 'Discover AMT Status' on the device;
I review the logs (got the same errors as mentioned above), but this time I went to check the MBEx settings and I actually found some information in it that must have been setup by SCCM (see screenshot).
That was my only change to the desktop (just a password change).

Customer Master BAPI for PI interface

Hai Frds,
We are using the PI interface for taking Customer data from Legacy and creating in ECC. For this we are using BAPIs. We have some BAPIs for customer creation but all are for online creation only. Is there any BAPI for creating the customer through Interface.
I found one BAPI : /SAPNEA/SMAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATE.
But its creating the customer with reference customer only. Also there is no Reconciliation Account field which is mandatory for our req.

we have to send status(both immediate and batch) back to Legacy for each document posted in ECC. If i will use IDOC i have to use one INBOUND IDOC for getting data in to SAP and one OUTBOUND IDOC for sending status(which i have catch from some Ztable) to legacy . All this is Lengthy process to do. So, we planned to go for BAPIs which will catch status immediately.
So, Looking for BAPI for customer master.

Is there any Bapi with which we can create an employee(Pernr)?
I need to call this BAPI from .net connecctor.
We have BAPI_APPLICANT_CREATE for applicant creation. Like this, do we have any thing for employee creation?

You could have a look at the function modules starting with HR_INFOTYPE* especially HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION. However, I've only used this to create things such as absences and absence quotas for an existing employee and it may not be possible to use it to create an employee from scratch.
