BAPI or FM to create and release Physical Sample

Hi,
Can anyone suggest a BAPI / Function Module that I can use so I can create and release a Physical Sample?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
Brando

By the way, the creation and realeasing of Physical Sample is similar to that of Transaction QPR1.
Anyone can suggest an FM / BADI? Thanks in advance.

    Hi guys!
I have problem with import IDOC into my repository objects. It is not visible to import, but on the r/3 side it is created and released.. Other IDOCs are visible, but not the one I need.. The IDOC I need is custom, created few moments ago..
    What could be wrong?
    Thanx for answer!
    Olian

    Olian,
you need to release our IDOC to be visiable for XI.
goto we60 see if you can find the our ZIDOC if you dont then goto WE30 then type our IDOC then goto Edit tab on top and select set release.
if you have done this then do this
    T/C Code: WE82
pass the IDOC type , message type and sap version then save.
now our output types andIDOC assigments to IDOC types are done

  • Creating and releasing (for private use) an app with Adobe DPS

    Dear all,
I am creating an app for iOS devices with Adobe DPS.
It will be a private app; I don't want it to be viewable on the app store. I only want to get a .ipa file so that I can send it to my contacts and the can install it on their devices through iTunes.
Honestly I'm a bit lost. It's the first time I'll have to face all of this.
I don't really know how to proceed for a private app. I guess even if it's not available on appstore, the app still have to be approved by Apple ? or am I wrong ? What are the steps to go through in order to get the .ipa file ?
Do I have to follow the same step-by-step tutorial as for a common app ?
Any advice from someone who have already faced the same kind of situation, or from anyone who knows a bit about all of this is very very welcome…
    Thanks all for your time.
    Best regards.
    F.

With a pro account you get a .ipa file and a .zip file. The ipa file is for testing so the devices that you add in the apple developer account ( max 100 in a year ) can all install the ipa file. The .zip is for submitting to apple.
In the enterprise edition for DPS you can create enterprise signed builds that can be installed on any Ipad within the organization. ( no limit to the number of devices you can install it to. )

  • Mass release of Physical Samples

    Hi Gurus,
Is there any T code for Mass release of Physical samples. We are in cutover and for around 1000 Open inspection lots, we need to release the physical Samples. It will  be labourious to release every sample using QPR4.
Tried LSMW, SHDB but the release is not getting recorded. Is there any other way for releasing physical samples in mass?
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Physical sample and physical sample drawing relationship

    Dear all,
When an inspection lot is created in a inspection plan using sample drawing procedure to determine physical sample size, the following two objects created automatically.
    Physical Sample Drawing Number
    Physical Sample Number
The relationship between these two objects is... one physical sample drawing number can represent more than one physical sample record, am I correct?
    Thanks
    Karen

Physical Sample Drawing Number : it represents unique number for physical sample
Ex. if you sampled 100  pcs   SAP gives Numbe Number for this 100. pcs
Physical Sample Number it gives the number for bifurgation of this qty.
Ex. out of 100 pcs 20 is physical sample  20 for pooled and remaining is reserve etc.

  • Inspection of physical samples

    Hi,
I am trying to set up quality inspection of physical samples for a plant. Until now we don't use SAP QM for inspection in production really (neither inspection lot origin 03, nor 04) but that might change in near future. Nevertheless, we would like to start with inspection of physical samples.
As far as I understand the SAP Help files there are "two" different inspection lots for which I can enter values. First, the lot from which a physical sample drawing was created by the system when I create the lot (in my case insp. lot origin 89 and inspection points for physical samples in inspection plan) and, second, the inspection lots I can create from the physical sample via QPR2 or QPR5 (in my case insp. lot origin 15). Although it's one step more for the users to create an inspection lot for each physical sample, I prefer the second option because a physical sample can be reworked in our plant if the results recorded are not acceptable and results have to be recorded again after rework. If I choose the second option I have an inspection lot (origin 89) I can use later on for results recording during production. The fact that irritates me is that's a lot with inspections points of type "physical sample" that I do not need necessarily in all operations.
Why are there two lots in which results to physical samples can be recorded?
Do you agree with my solution or are there other more reasonable ways?
    Cheers
    Marcus.

  • BAPI Diff between Creat and Create from Data

    Hi All,
for Sales order creation we have Many BAPI function module.
how can i decide which module shoud i use ..a
and what is the diff bw create and create from data function module.
And i have read some where about BAPI --- ' acces to SAP applications from Third party can only by means of BAPI's.'..
it means can't third party call RFC's in SAP.
if they can call RFC's why BAPI.
i met this question in so many Situations.
But i didnt get clear answer for this.
    could u pls help me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jeyaseelan.G

    hi jeyaseelan guru,
there no difference actually ...between a create bapi and create from data() bapi...
open business object type kna1 in swo1 and see that  differeence lies in the versions .....double click on create method under the methods node u will find tat create bapi  used from the release 30a and create from data bapi used from the release from 45a.......... based on the versions it offer more features ............
so, try to use a bapi of newer version
The BAPI Create() or CreateFromData() creates an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
    reward points if helpful.....

  • MRP auto creating and batching releases

Using standard functionality it's possible for standard Oracle processes to automatically create PO Releases within the Release_Time_Fence_Days. We want to use this functionality, but, the answer it provided was inappropriate.
The main issue is that if there are two MRP Planned Orders for different days and the Delivery Calendar indicates that they will both be delivered on the same day, the result is that two PO Releases are generated rather than one?
This makes it difficult for the Receiving staff who would have to book material in against different releases; doubly awkward if the material was delivered all at the same time.
Does anyone know of a way to sum/group the releases at all (by vendor/part/dock date)?
    Regards,
    Bren

    Dear
Are you dealing with Single vendor  where you want Multiple Schedule Line item through single PR  which should be generated through MRP run ??
What you will have to do is to set up the Outline Agreement or Info Record for your vendor and material and then create the source record for this vendor- material relationship and make sure that this source record is set as MRP relevant. Once MRP is run, the vendor is automatically defaulted to your PRs. If in your material master, you have defined the same purchasing group for various material numbers, then with Transaction ME59, it is feasible that you can combine various PRs of the same purchasing group by flagging onto the 'Per Purchasing Group' indicator checkbox. Make a trial test and let me know how it goes.
Or you can use Qouta arrabgement in that case for different vendor .Please refer : Multiple Requisition  line itme for Quota arrangement
    Just check and revert

  • BAPI to create and update scheduling agreement (type LZM) in ECC

    Hi,
We have a requirement to create and update scheduling agreement of type LZM in ECC from an external system.
Is there a BAPI available for this in ECC 6.0 which can be used?

    Hello,
Please use the T-code "SE93" and then click on Display option after entering the T-code. After entering into the detail screen of the T-code, you shall find option to click on OBJECT LIST and then enter into the Function Group. Now enter the T-code and then click on function module and a list of function module will be displayed in referrence to the T-code.
For your easy reference i have also mentioned the flow.
    SE93 --> Use tcode (eg. VA01) > display> Object list ---> Function Groups --> Tcode ---> Function module.

  • Problem in creating and updating of  material by the use of bapi and bdc

    Hello All,
I am using bapi (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA ) and than bdc to create and update classification data of material.
    I am facing a problem.
    1) firstly I am creating material by the use of bapi and than after creation i want to update classification data for taht perticular material .
    2) To update classification data i am using bdc . while at the time of updating material through bdc system showing me error that material is currently locked by user (my login name ).
    Please suggest what to do.
    Tkank you
    With Regards
    Shantanu Modi

When u update/create data it takes sometime to commit. So after using BAPI
give 10 minutes wait in ur program before updating classification data.
    you can write like
    wait up to 20 seconds.
    and update the classification.

  • BAPI for purchase order .. to create and delete confirmation

    HI Gurus
I need to create and delete PO(Purchase order) confirmation in SAP 4.7 R3 .
Please let me know which BAPI i can use for .. in SAP 4.7
    1. Create PO confirmation
    2. Delete PO confirmation
    Many thanks and regards
    Sandeep Sharma

    Hi Sandeep,
In SAP 4.7 R3 & ECC 5.0. we don't have BAPI to delete / create PO confirmatons.
Use this FM for both : ME_CONFIRMATION_UPDATE
In addition to above , we need to use this FM : ME_CONFIRMATION_REDISTR_ITEMS , for PO item update in MD04 transaction.
In addtion to above 2 FM, you need to used Change doucment FM for write log data.
    Thanks.

    <b>DIFFERENCE between BAPI and BDC</b>
BDC is traditional way of coding the transactions for uploading the legacy data, Sap is changing all transactions to Object oriented programming. Since BAPI is Object based and supports all the new transactions it is preffered over BDC. More over BAPI's process data faster than BDC.
BAPI is a SAP-supplied function module with a defined interface, which allows you to interact with various business objects. SAP guarantees the integrity of your database for anything updated using a BAPI. BDC is a method of driving screens programatically, for updating SAP data. BAPIs are generally faster than BDCs.
A BAPI is faster because it is updating the DB "directly". Whereas BDC with call
transaction goes through the whole screen sequence like any user would do, simply put, fills screens.
However - there is not always a BAPI for a particular transaction and not all functions that are performed by a transaction can be done by a BAPI. BDCs produce error sessions which can be processed by the user, while BAPIs don't.
First choose the BAPI ,if there is no BAPI go for BDC.
    why BAPI first not BDC.
SAP comes up with Change in Version, so each and every time they will change the screens/number etc.
so you have to change your BDC programs accordingly.
and also Most of the Latest versions transactions are Enjoy Transaction. they will not support BDC's in Background.
But Using BAPI's No such disadvantages.
A BAPI is faster because it is updating the DB "directly" through ABAP code.
A BDC with call transaction goes through the whole screen sequence like any user would do, simply put, it is filling screens.
Actually it depends on your requirement but BAPI is more effective as it is standard function module to update SAP databases rather than BDC.
using bdc over bapi has advantages and also disadvantages
    advantages:
    1. using bdc we can upload data into database tables using 2 ways
    1. foreground -
means that user interaction is there for each and every record.
    2. back ground -
no user interaction and tasks are done automatically.
using these two options is one of the greatest advantage over bapi.
    2. in bdc call transaction method we can control the display of screen resolution which is not possible with bapi's
    3. bdc is generally used for transferring of large amount of data than bapi's
4.session method of bdc allows us to place data directly in application server and then finally transfered into sap database tables
    disadvantages:
1.bdc is only used for sap to sap system data transferring
    2. bapis's generally works more faster than bdc's
    3. using bapis we can connect to remote systems and also to non sap systems.
    if useful reward some points.
A BAPI is a method of a SAP Business Object. BAPI enables SAP and third party applications to interact and integrate
with each other at the Business Object / Process level.
Check this link to know more about BAPI.
    http://www.sapgenie.com/abap/bapi/example.htm
    http://sappoint.com/abap/
Batch Data Communication (BDC) is the oldest batch interfacing technique that SAP provided since the early versions of R/3. BDC is not a
typical integration tool, in the sense that, it can be only be used for uploading data into R/3 and so it is not bi-directional.
BDC works on the principle of simulating user input for transactional screen, via an ABAP program. Typically the input comes in the form
of a flat file. The ABAP program reads this file and formats the input data screen by screen into an internal table (BDCDATA). The
transaction is then started using this internal table as the input and executed in the background.
In ‘Call Transaction’, the transactions are triggered at the time of processing itself and so the ABAP program must do the error handling.
It can also be used for real-time interfaces and custom error handling & logging features. .
    To know more about BDC,
    check the link.
    http://sappoint.com/abap/
    Main differences are...
In case of bdc data transfer takes place from flat file into sap system ie the file existing in sap system to sap sytem
where is bapi's r remotly enabled function modules which are assigned to some business objects n used to transfer the data between different business partners who are using different systems other than sap.
    not only that...
when you plan to upgrade your system version then bdc willnot support those upgradations where as bapi's will support.

  • How to create a logical and a physical path?

    Hi ,
I want to know how is  a logical path created ?
Also , how can a physical path be created from a provided logicall path?
    Regards,
    Harshit Rungta

    Hi,
Use FM u2018FILE_GET_NAMEu2019 to assign the physical file name using a logical file name.
Remember you need to create u2018logical file nameu2019 using transaction u2013 FILE.
R/3 applications run on various platforms with various file systems. Hence we use platform-independent logical file names in our application programs.
Function module u2018FILE_GET_NAMEu2019 converts a logical file name to the corresponding physical file name and path for the hardware platform concerned.
For this conversion to work for different platforms, the definition of a logical file name must include a logical file path, which in turn is converted to different physical file paths, depending on the particular platform. The platform-specific file name returned by the function module is composed of the physical file path for the current platform and the physical file name associated with the logical file name. Placeholders in physical file and path names are substituted at runtime by the corresponding current values.
    Example
    logical file name:     MONTHLY_SALES_FILE
    physical file name:     VALUES<PARAM_1>
    logical path:     SALES_DATA_PATH
    physical path (UNIX):     /usr/<SYSID>/<FILENAME>
    physical path (Windows):     C:\SALES\<FILENAME>.
