I have read here it's 4 months for the same card, 30 days if it's a different card. That appears to hold true. Surprisingly, I got the Apple card last month but, didn't use it. Thansferred the $3.5K SL to my Rewards card. I was declined for the NFL card last month, too.I've been declined for every other card over the past 7-8 months. They seem to be a "weird bird", hard to pin down.I was kinda shocked I was approved for Apple with a $3.5K SL, I was declined altogether 5-6 months ago

The rep said "with that kind of payment history and repayment we'd be happy to hear from you again".

Using Keynote Cool Picture Frames between Apps

Hi - is there a way to grab the "Keynote" picture frames/borders for use in other apps. I can't seem to find them even when I show contents of the "keynote" package.

iMovie is a DV editing app and the final results would still make a 640X480 file.
I would change a few things to make everything work together:
First is the display resolution. You want the 23 inches to be used so just reduce the display preferences to try and match your QuickTime file. 800X600 sounds about right but larger will still work as H.264 Video scales up in size very nicely.
This would force you to "reduce" the dimensions of the Keynote file but that shouldn't be much of an issue.
QuickTime Pro could also be used to "change" the dimensions of the 640X480 file. Again, H.264 scales up in size and would look pretty good at even double size.
The goal is to have them both at the same dimension and then match the monitor resolution.
Easier to change the display than the files.

Microsoft Word crashing/lag time switching between apps

My Microsoft Word suddenly started crashing constantly. Everything is up to date with both Word and Mac software. Now, I'm starting to experience a lag between trying to highlight a word—same delay is happening when I go between applications. I have OS X and Word 2008. Thoughts?

I have the exact same issue. Whenever I switch to another app via the Dock, cmd-Tab, or clicking on another window, after a few seconds iPhoto crashes with no errors in the log (just a crash log). I had iPhoto Library Manager rebuild the library of 12,000 photos which took most of a day and had to restart through several crashes. The rebuilt library worked, but isn't really acceptable since it changed all the key photos on my events, lost all my facebook albums and slideshows, and seemed to ignore a few days of recent organizing and labeling.
It seems like some idle process (detecting faces maybe) is kicking in whenever iPhoto goes in the background that causes it to crash when it's backgrounded and idle.

What is the time frame to publish an app

I'm making an iso app and last time I sent one in for approval to be in the App Store
It took about 3 weeks (this was about 1 1/2 ago) so I'm wondering if this time

Publish time in Apple App store

Wondering if anyone has a general time frame for a folio's appearing in the Apple App store. My understanding is that Apple only does approval on the app and the initial publication and after that you can publish whenever you choose.
We are publishing our 3rd issue and pushed it this morning but 2 hours later and it has not shown up yet. On our second issue it was instantly in the store. With our first issue, it took the usual app approval time of 2 weeks because it was the first time.
We did publish a new updated app, but that was approved a couple weeks ago and we released it seperatley last Friday. Make me think the delay is from the Adobe side.

Public & Free and yes the correct app account, the same one that the 2 previous issues were created and published with.
Is it possibly something with the app? We updated the app to R23 and it was approved already and published last Friday.

Time frame

When I preview some transitions, a box pops up telling me that i "don't have enough time frame around the playhead to preview the title, transition, or effect." My friend said that I'm suppose to combine all the clips/images together?
I have about three songs in there, and the total of the slide show is about a little more than 11 mins....
how do i extend the timeframe? or do what i have to do so that the playhead will have more room?

Hi Signora - I am guessing that you are fairly new to this puzzling (at first) but absorbing world of iMovie.
I would suggest first of all, that you use the iMovie Help menu often, and also have a look at these tutorials:

It sounds as though you firstly imported your music which lasts for about 11 minutes, then you have added pics. That's OK. But before you select any pics from the Photos pane, tick the Ken Burns box, and adjust the duration to what length you feel is satisfactory for the photos - maybe 8 seconds? This becomes the default duration for all of the pics, or until you modify this setting. If you do not want any zoom applied, then move the little slider to the 'Start', adjust the zoom slider to the left hand end; then do the same for the 'End'. Now drag the photos you want into either the Clips View or Timeline.
To add transitions, first choose the transition-style, then adjust the duration of the transition (maybe you are doing this part correctly already), then drag the blue box down to where you want it to go. If you want the same transition-style and duration between all pics, then select all of the pics, and hit 'Apply'.
Apologies if you knew all of this already! We just have to establish that you are using the correct process.

Automatically add clear frames between keyframes?

I have several movie symbols with a different bitmap in each keyframe. Since they move too fast to match the other symbols, I want to put clear frames between each keyframe. So far I have just been clicking each keyframe and hitting F5 several times but I thought there might be a better option.
Is there a way to automatically add a number of frames between each keyframe?

I think the OP doesn't mean empty keyframes (s)he just means to add frames. On my machine, at least, F5 just adds more frames, not an empty keyframe. So the flickering shouldn't be a concern here....
If you are just getting into code tweening I would suggest looking into the TweenLite/Max classes from Green Sock instead of the built in ones.
And Ned is correct, JSFL can automate many mundane tasks that you might perform in the authoring environment. I've only dabbled with it a bit, but it could easily do what you are asking. There might even already be some script out there that adds a certain number for frames at each keyframe in a layer or a timeline or some such.

In a requirements package from which I am to design and build BW reporting, information has been provided on "time frame" "frequency" "update times"
Can you share your thoughts on these and how to consider them during the design/build? Examples will be very helpful. Also, how does time basis fit in here?
For example what is the implication when on a particular requested report, the frequency= "on demand".
If time frame = quarterly what effect will that be on update time?
Which of these speak to when data needs to be loaded into the BW? Which refers to when reports need to be generated? And is there a link between the two?
How is the determination on the frequency and specific time to load data for reporting purposes made?
In general, what influences the decisions on "time frame" "frequency" "update times" during the reuirements gathering phase?

There is not really a set answer for that, basically you have to listen to what your users need, and what you can offer them based on your installed base.
"Time basis" I'm not sure about, could refer to the type of timefield you are using. Transaction date, ...
Let me give you an example
Eg. Users here want there reports on wednesday morning, this is the only time that they will look at the reports.
Frequency: You can get away with loading once a week
Time frame: Because all my users will be in the system as of 5 am, I need to make sure data is ready by then. But I can't load before 1am because that is when FICO data is loading already...
Update times: we could do some updates of new plan version during the rest of the week, since they are relatively small. (although I'm not really sure what they mean with update time, sounds the same like loading frequency)

Time difference between the Identity system and Access System: OAM

I was installing OAM. Performed the below steps.
-installed identity server
-installed webpass
-setup of identity system console
-installed policy manager
-setup of access system console
The above steps were successfull. Then when i was logging into Access system console, i am getting the below error:
Error:there was a problem obtaining the userid. One possible reason for this is a time difference between the Identity system and Access systems (Policy Manager and Access system console).+
The Identity Server, WebPass and Policy Manager are installed on the same machine.
Userdata repository: OVD 10.1.4.3
Policy and Config Data Repository: OID 11.1.1.3
OAM: 10.1.4.3
Windows2008 - 64bit
Found document in metalink similar to this issue. suggested to change ldapmaxofreties. but didn't help.

Check Time Difference Between Identity and Access Manager Systems
Check the logfile in the Access Manager install directory. The default location is <$AMinstall_dir>/access/oblix/logs/oblogfile.
If the file exists and it contains following line "skew = slack = " that means the Identity and Access Manager Web Servers are on different machines and have not synchronized time within a minute.
Either synchronize times between the two machines within a minute's accuracy or you can increase the slack by modifying these two files: <$AMinstall_dir>/access/oblix/apps/common/bin/oblixbaseparams.lst: loginslack: <$IMinstall_dir>/identity/oblix/apps/common/bin/oblixbaseparams.xml: loginslack: where numofseconds is more than skew found in the oblogfile.
For example, if you have following line in oblogfile "skew = 121 slack = 60", set numofseconds in the two parameter files to 130. After doing this, Stop the Identity Manager Web Server. Then stop the Identity Server. Start the Identity Server.
Then start the Identity Manager Web Server. Start a new browser session and see if you get the same error.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

What is the difference between apps and applications?

I have an application that I've been running on my older Mac. Now that I have a new MacBook Pro, I have to reinstall new software that is compatible. When I go to the vendor website I see an application I can download or a link to the Mac App Store. Is an application different than an app? When should you download them from a vendor website and when should you go to the app store? Do apps end up in the Launchpad and an application in your Applications folder? I can't seem to find information on what is the distinction. Are they actually two different things? Any help would be appreciated.

No difference between apps and applications. If you download the app from the Apple AppsStore you have better security and a conveninet place to have all your downloads. Nothing wrong with downloading from a trusted developer though.
EDIT: Yes they will either wind up in your Download folder as a .dmg you will have to double-click on to install, or most app store apps will install to your Applications folder.

How can I switch between apps without going to home screen?

Is there anyway to switch between apps with one tap? (ie. without going to home screen first). Kind of like a command-tab feature.

Well, you can have one app that you can get to with a double push of the home button (set in settings which you want), but I think it's only your contacts list, or your ipod app. Still useful though.

Android automatically closes apps in the background when it needs more memory. To let Firefox run in the background longer, we will need to reduce its memory usage. We are continuing to work on this with each new version of Firefox.

Try a reset by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.
