hi we are using intermec printer 4420 , can any one tell how to write the logic for barcode for 25806488 part no.

In routing, the control key should have the Tick of print. Then the printer should be configured to print the operation details. After releasing the production order, the BARcode will be printed, then the same bar code can be scanned for the confirmation. The BARcode scanner should read the BARcode details and it has to update in CO11N transaction.
Better you can discuss with your ABAP consultant. He can guide you more clearly.

Printing Barcode for a 18 digit SSCC No (Handling Unit Number) thru' VL02N

Hi,
I'm trying to print a Barcode for a corresponding Handling Unit number in VL02N transaction code.
I have created a new device type by name ZBARCODE in SPAD transaction, the Device Type name is:
ZLB_ZEB and Spool Server is: fihdev02_FDV_00
In SE73, have created a new System Bar Code by name ZZEAN128 with the following parameters
00 00 10.00 CM 2.00 CM C128 000 .
In the Printer Bar Code option, ZBARCODE device type has been selected and in the Display Print Control page ZZEAN128 Bar Code, Prefix and Suffix has been assigned to the ZBARCODE Device Type.
In the copy of the LE_EAN128_SSCC00 Form I have assigned the ZZEAN128 Bar Code as a Character Format.
But, it is not printing the Barcode in the ZEBRA 110XI Printer.
How to overcome this problem.
Kindly guide me to fix it.

Hello Jacob,
We generate our barcodes with the help of the PPF action. For example, our labels have the barcodes onto them and when we finish a task that requires packing/unpacking/deconsolidation we have the PPF trigger the printing of the neccesary labels.
I direct you to the path SCM SPRO - Supply Network Collaboration - Tools - Actions (Post Processing Framework). Here you need to set the action and namely the trigger.

Now, my company use SAP but we want to use barcode for our material.
So I want to know how SAP can manage materials by barcode. Besides, are there any document about it such as PDF or SAP SHOW?

Hi,
for a material you could maintain EANs (for a specific unit of measure).
As a possible solution you can store your barcode(s) in
"additional datas -> additional EANs". the Customizing for the EAN is
done in transactions W4ES and W4EN, notes 880520, 879460 and 545520
should help you.
If this functionality is not usefull for you, another alternative to
use your own fields is always open (note 44410).

Barcode for materials

Hi Fnrds,
We want to implement barcode for each materials , every materail code should have a fixed barcode number .
( This we have done by mainitaining the EAN Number in the material master )
And when i do GRN for that particular material ,i need a barcode print out , which will be having the details like barcode number , GRN No and the Batch number in the barcode print out.
Can we map it in SAP ? Is there any option for this.

With the help of ABAP'r Design a Smartform for label printing define the size and what you want to print in it like barcode.
1 printer will print normal GR
2nd printer will print Label

Barcodes for InDesign catalog

I have no experience with barcodes. I hope someone can help.
I'm going to be putting together a catalog in InDesign CS4 that contains hundreds of photos of food products. The client wants a barcode for each product, as shown in the example below. I found that Teacup software has BarcodeMaker, which Teacup says is fully scriptable. Would that be a good choice?
I also noticed that there is a free barcode maker courtesy of Marc Autret at http://marcautret.free.fr/geek/indd/eandesign/#S4. Is there an English version of the instructions on how to use it?
Is it possible to scan each product (the real product) to automatically generate the barcode for InDesign, or is there some other way to automate the process of adding barcodes to InDesign catalog?
I would welcome any suggestions to make adding barcodes to the catalog an efficient process.

I've used Bar Code Pro before, like a year ago. From what I remember, If you have you barcode numbers in a list/text file it can output eps files for you, or manually type the number and output one at a time. Here's the link, you might try the demo:

Not sure, but if you have a barcode scanner, you might be able to scan the number right into the manual input window and generate your barcode.

SAP Business One is not really suited to the retail environment and I would suggest that if the functionality is an issue, you consider a retail add-on. The problem is that in retail, multiple bar codes must be available to identify the product at the time of selling (scanning being the preferred method), and a UDT will not directly solve the problem. An alternative would be some SDK development, but this could be costly, and it might be better to look at a complete add-on rather.
Another issue is the handling of multiple pack sizes and pricing per pack size, which in SAP Business One requires multiple items to be created as you only have one field to use, namely Sales UOM & Items per Sales Unit. This effectively only gives you 2 levels, namely single and shrink. In retail you often buy and sell in Pallets, Cases, Shrinks & Singles. Each of this pack sizes has a different bar code as well.
Can you give me more detail on how SAP Business One is currently being configured to cater for this retail customer, and I cna guide you better.

Memoryze barcode for vendor invoices

Hi all
We want to save, after have posted a vendor invoice with barcode, the link between the document and the barcode. Now the link is present in the BDS_BAR_IN table but when the corresponding record in BDS_BAR_EX appear, both the two are deleted.
I saw that for the 46c SAP suggest (note 564547) to use a workflow raised by the event barcode.assigned. For the ecc6.00 exist a different modality (without development work) or I must use the same modality suggested for the 46c?

HI David,
I was able to assign barcode to BDS_BAR_IN table and also be able to assign barcode externally with the function module
BAPI_BARCODE_SENDLIST, It created the barcode entry in BDS_BAR_EX table.
Though the same barcode exist in both BDS_BAR_IN & BDS_BAR_EX tables, they are not getting matched and disappearing for some reason in OAM1.
Any idea what might be cauing this issue?

As far I know there is currently no way to add new barcodes to the Adobe designer..SAP Note #430887 says the same..
Can I get any exact SAP note which states that adding new barcodes is not currently possible..
If there is any way we can do this please let me know..

Brazil Boleto Barcodes - Single Barcode for multiple vendor invoices

Hi All,
I have the following two questions in Brazil Boleto process.
1) The vendor is giving a single boleto bar code for multiple invoices. However when we are entering the barcode in the Bank reference field, the last digits are getting changed as the system is picking the amount of that particular invoice in the barcode instead of the consolidated amount of all the invoices? How to handle this scenario in SAP? Is it possible to handle the single Boleto bar code for multiple invoices case in SAP?
2) In F110 Automatic Payment run, we want to pick only the Vednor invoices for which boleto barcodes are updated. Is there any standard way of only picking the invoices updated with barcode only in the F110 payment run?

For your requirement you have to do single payment at F-53.There you need to select Other account check box at open item selection.Give the all open item vendor codes and get a cleared document number.
Go to FCH5 and assign manual single check here

Does ES Designer enable 2D barcodes for an unlimited number of Reader users?

I've the Acrobat Pro License, and I'm considering to purchase LiveCycle Designer ES separately.
But first I've to be sure about two issues.
I read from Acrobat Pro Extended Guide that I can enable Reader user to save form data:

This feature is avaible with a limit of either 500 addressees for the form or 500 "data extraction" also with the Acrobat professional license (license agreement 14.13.3 ).

Form enabling for Reader users is also necessary when adding a 2D barcode:

Otherwise the barcode is rendered in an encrypted way and can't be decrypted.

So first of all, if you have bought and installed Adobe Acrobat Professional then you also have Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES (for PC only). You do not need to buy it seperately.
If you would like to extend your forms beyond the license provided in the EULA with Acrobat Professional then you will need to buy Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES or Adobe LiveCycle Barcoded Forms ES if you wish to use Barcoded Forms. Designer alone does not change the licensing.
