Barcode Form To Launch Workspace Process

I have a workspace process that works great in launching from a workspace user. I want to use the same process when a barcoded form is scanned and dropped in a folder. I have found examples how to decode and extract the contents. How do I then use those contents to prompt a workspace user to approve or deny the form?
With my first example I have a dtata schema that helps me fill in the pdf fields. How do I take the data from the barcode from and use it to populate another form for a workspace user to use?

In ES2 you can configure the UserService steps to automatically open the form in Full Screen mode or not. I think it the User Interface section of the properties when viewing the process in Workbench.
But there is nothing in ES2 about opening it in a separate window.

Barcoded forms using Adobe Reader

Hi,
As previous discussion started by me, we have developed a Barcoded form for our work process.
It's use to be succesful filling & editing barcoded form with Adobe Acrobat reader 9.3 after we license the form in Livecycle.
But just know the reader fails to read the barcoded form.
After the user fills details on the form, the barcode field dissapear from the screen (blank grey spot).
Is this because of another licensing process needed? Or it is only a technicality problem.

I have the same problem as Raja. And it does not help to reduce the amount of information in the barcode. The barode field stil turns gray in Adobe Reader 9.
The strange thing is that there are no problems when I open and fill out the form in Adobe Reader 7.

Error while initiating the workspace process flow ALC-WKS-007-027

Hi,
When I try to initiate the workspace process flow, I am getting following exception. Previously it was working fine without any error. Now for all our process workflows are getting the same error. Can someone help me to resolve this.

Thank you Nith and Jasmin for your responses.
Restarted the application server and it did not work.
I recreated the workspace end point and still it is not working. I tried to
create new workspace process and configured for the workspace to see if it
works, but the same error.
There were 2 previously initiated tasks(before this exception, these were
initiated) in my ToDo list in workspace. When I click on this, the form is
opened without error, but when I click on the submit(complete button), its
throwing the below exception:
Error 500: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
com.adobe.idp.scheduler.SchedulerException
I have attached log and screenshot. Please let me know if I can resolve this
without redeploying the livecycle components.

Barcoded form with XML-data

Hi all,
In our solution we have some barcodes on a form (7 barcodes on the one that I am using), they contain compressed XML data (I know that this uses much space in the barcode - anyway it should work regardless of this).
What the interesting thing is what is returned from the "decode-service" in WB.
When I run a scanned form through the process I have created I get "garbled" xml in my XML-doc that is returned from the decode-service.
If I use a handheld scanner (with a customly created program that handles the compression) I get the correct data from the barcode.
If I do not use compression in the barcode I get the correct XML data from the barcode (with the decode-service). This is weird to me... What is going on???
Some time ago I posted this issue (http://www.adobeforums.com/webx?128@@.3c058293) but never really caught up with a solution.

Oops, something happended with the above post. I will try again... I have tried your suggestion but I still get the same garbled XML (with data repeated and some values "cut in half". Here is what I get after decode-service and extract-to-XML-service. This is just the first barcode, the others are similar, sorry for the poor formatting, but I get a CDATA tage infront of the "istensen" value. As said earlier, I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro. From the article i read recently, it says that if you want to integrate Barcoded Forms with the current plaform, what will be needed here is
1. Authoring Module/Plug-in; Question:Where can I puchase this Plug-in and how much is this module/links?
2. Adobe usage right.- Qestion: where to find this and how much?
3. Adobe reader- this is free and it can be downloaded-
4. Decoder ( A licenced component). Qestion: Where do we find this licence and how much will this one cost? any link?

If you are referring to LiveCycle Designer you do not need any additional software to author barcoded forms. The same is true of Acrobat Professional 8 and 9. However, in Acrobat Professional 6 and 7 there was a plug-in required to create barcoded forms.
There is splash screen in both Designer and Acrobat Professional stating the requirement for LiveCycle Barcoded Forms ES. This is a common source of confusion. LiveCycle Barcoded Forms ES is a server-side component that provides barcode decoding or the ability to enable barcoded forms to be processed by a third-party decoder.
So if you are evaluating the creation of barcoded forms, you do not need any additional software. If you are evaluating authoring and decoding barcoded forms, you will need LiveCycle Barcoded Forms ES.

I am currently creating a form in Adobe Livecycle ES2. I want to put a PDF417 2D barcode on the form containing the data of the fields in the form. The customer should be able to use Adobe reader to fill out the form and the barcode should update with the field information. However to do this i need to purchase a license for LiveCycle Barcoded Forms. In order to get this license it seems that I need to purchase Livecycle reader Extensions ES2. However the product is not available online and when contacting Adobe no one knows how I can purchase this product. How do I acquire LiveCycle Barcoded Forms Decoder?

I have seen in various areas of the Adobe website that this is available for purchase as a seperate Enterprise product, but cannot see how to do this. Even downloading a trial at this stage would be very useful to make progress on a project.

BARCODE FORMS in Acrobat Reader 9.2 - disappears the barcode

Hi,
I have a trial version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro installed on my computer for try the barcodes forms funcionality but have a problem with this. When create a forms barcode, then test this in Adobe Reader 7, 8 and 9.2, and in the Adobe Reader 9.2 the barcode disappears when assign values to barcode, in the others versions as Adobe Reader 7 and 8 not have this problem and the form barcode run correctly.
I had attach the PDF form barcode that not run in Adobe Reader 9.2 in this post. It's the TEST_JR_2.0.0.pdf file.
Can you help me? Can be a problem of licencenses?

Monitor based on PowerShell occasionally show ExitCode -1 when Launch a Process

I have no data in stdOut nor in ErrOut.
when i simulate error i got ExitCode greater than 0 and error description
but in real life some times script work fine and ovc put in stdout some data but sometime inside the monitor this script throw ExitCode -1 and no output at all.
in that time i call ovc in RDP session and it was work ok.
i tried to change $ProcessInfo.FileName
=
"ovc.exe" to
cmd /c ovc.exe but all in vain

PDF barcode form input in Acrobat Reader

I have tried to create a barcode form by using the acrobat professional XI, all user input will be rendered into a QR code in the PDF form.
Problem now is:
If i distribute this barcode form to user without Acrobat Professional XI (i.e. they may be using Adobe Reader X to input the form), the barcode cannot be generated base on the user input and disappear.
Any idea how to resolve this or any configuration need to be done?

Launching Multiple Processes With JWS

Is it possible to launch multiple processes with JWS? I'd like to specify in the jnlp 2 applications to run. Each application must run in its own java.exe process. Why you ask?
I've created a mission critical application in JWS that requires the application to be active at all times. If the application crashes, the second application detects the crash and restarts the jnlp.
How can this be accomplished? I'd like to stay away from created another JVM via JNI if possible.

2 Form scenarios in HCM Processes and Forms

Hi,
My requirement is to have 2 forms in a single process. The first part has a form and an approval,after certain approval stage the form should be a different one. I found out that 2 form scenario can be used in a single HCM Process, But I am not sure how? Please share how to do it.

Do_operation will be called whenever there is roundtrip, by triggering event USER_EVENT_CHECK using form scripting.
example,
To trigger roundtrip for a drop down list, under exit* event add this

Name Space Communication Error when Launching Workspace in Hyperion 11.1.2

Hi All,
I've installed Hyperion 11.1.2. All the links were working fine after configuration. Now when i'm launching Workspace, it is giving the message as "Namespace communication Error". Why it is giving this message ? Why it didn't show this message earlier ? Pls. help

First of all I would just start up the foundation managed server service, it can take a while to start up fully, then check the logs at :-
<EPM_HOME>\user_projects\epmsystem1\diagnostics\logs\services HyS9FoundationServices-syserr.log and HyS9FoundationServices-sysout.log
If it looks to have started up without issues then try and log into shared services at http://<foundationmachine>:28080/interop/index.jsp
Also I would use a supported browser as I don't believe IE6 is supported anymore.
