Barcode in Ecc 6.0

Hi ,
We have upgraded our SAP systems from 4.7 to ECC 6.0.
After the upgrade, we are facing issues with printing barcodes using sapscript.( It got printed before upgrade)
The barcodes are not getting printed using custom barcodes.
But it is getting printed using standard barcodes.
Do we need to configure anything for custom barcodes after upgrade?
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

I hope ur reading the BArcodes using RF guns , if so then u have an Option in the RF GUN to move automatically to next field , u have to check with the RF users to configure and change the settings.

Barcode not printing on Zebra printer

Hi All,
We are facing an issue while printing the barcode from ECC 5.0 using a smartform.
The problem is that the z program creates a spool when we click the print option but does not print the barcode in the zebra printer.Also when we try to print from spool directly it doesn't print anything.
We are on Ecc 5.0
zebra printer is Z4mplus.
Any help is appreciated and will be rewarded with points.

Hi,
Please check with your Printer Vendor, whether it supports the Barcode font which you have used.
Also check for SAP notes. There are several sap notes on Zebra printer.

Barcode printing sapcript available in preview but not in print

We are trying to print Barcode from ECC 6.0 system but unable to make it ,
though we can view the same in Print preview , still we are unable to get the same
in the hard copy.Barcode is not present in hard copy
Below are settings
Device type: SAPWIN
Device class: stardard printer
Host spool access method : F
Host printer : Default
physical Printer : RICOH AFICIO 2018D
Do we need to keep barcode.DLL in desktop from where we are printing ?
Is my printer is compatible for barcode printing. ?
What could be the reason

Interleaved Barcodes

Hi,
We want to do Label printing through Smartforms. Our labels are getting printed but often the barcodes are not getting read as they are exceeding the Label Page Width.
We want to use the Interleaved Barcodes in ECC 5.0. Can anybody inform which Interleaved barcode Format should we use in SAP that has the support of Code 128.
Also inform what extra things we need to take care in interleaved Barcode than the Normal Barcodes.

Use SE73 to reduce the size of your system barcode. This will keep it on the page.
Do you need an interleaved 2 of 5 barcode or a Code128? Both are provided in the standard system.

Decoding DataMatrix 2D barcode

Hi All,
I'm looking an algorythm or better still a VI that can turn those 2D
barcode things (ECC 200 PUF417 12X12 10 digit) into numerical or text
data.

Barcode doesn't work after upgrade to ECC

Hi All,
In sapscript, we used bardcode. But after upgrade to ECC, it doesn't work.
Could you help me about it??
And we don't want to convert the sapscript to smartforms and use the new barcode technique.

I think some function moule is missed, please check the driver program also. In production you are getting Barcodes ?. Or otherwise goto se73 - we have bar codes types.. system and printer barcodes . please assign the printer bar codes in output devices.

Is there a way to create new Barcodes for Adobe Printforms

As far I know there is currently no way to add new barcodes to the Adobe designer..SAP Note #430887 says the same..
Can I get any exact SAP note which states that adding new barcodes is not currently possible..
If there is any way we can do this please let me know..

Problem with barcode print in Adobe From

Hello All,
We are using Adobe Forms to print our shipping labels and this as been working well for few years now. These labels include readable text and barcodes. The barcodes are 1-D but recently we now have a need to print 2-D barcodes.
We are able to print PDF-417 as a 2-D barcode on the form, but when we try to print Datamatrix barcode, the barcode does not show and instead we just see the text which should have been encoded as 2-D barcode.
We analyze the spool output file on the server to check the correct print controls are being sent to label printer. Our printer is a Zebra S4M using ZPLII. We send test form to our printer which will print two barcodes only (both 2-D), one is PDF-417 the other is Datamatrix. The spool output when viewed in Wordpad, is as below:

The ^B7 print control is the barcode PDF-417 control code. The Datamatrix control code ^BX is missing and should appear where there is an empty line. If we edit the spool output file and add the missing control code sequence, and then reprint the spool from SAP, then the Datamatrix 2-D barcode prints correctly.
So for some reason, the .zpl spool output file is not being generated with the ^BX control code sequence for the datamatrix barcode. We cannot find any information on why this is so.
We are running ECC6 SP11 (single stack) and ADS is running on a separate dual-stack BI system (NW2004s SP21).
Our Zebra S4M printer firmware is V53.17.6Z, and printer driver is ZebraDesigner 2.6.42 (Build 2382). Our SAP device type which is assigned is AZPL203. Our ADS version is 7.00.21.0.
We are seeing the same problem if we print test label from ECC or BI system. ECC kernel is 700 patch 266. BI kernel is 700 patch 254.
We have found SAP Notes related to incorrect ZPL format in ^BX for NW7.1 and NW7.1 EhP1, but not for NW7.0.
Has anyone else come across a problem like this before? Any advice would be much appreciated and duly rewarded.

BarCode Reader Connection with sap

Our client is using a bar code reader machine which is build on pocket pc technology. Now they want that when barcode on some item like a table is scaned by that machine its extra information will be read from sap asset master data. like to whom this table is belong.
Now is there any standard connector through which we can communicate between sap and bar code pocket pc.

Please compare your settings with the "Administrator_Guide.pdf", chapter 7.3 Connecting SAP ERP to SAP Business One integration for SAP NetWeaver (page 44 -59).
In your B1i SLD entry for your second ECC connection, check segment RFCP:
The value in field "programID" must be unique for each ECC connection and equally maintained on ECC side (transaction SM59).
Please start the test connection in ECC (transaction SM59) and make sure, that you have an activated scenario in B1i with your ECC as sender system. Otherwise the RFCP test connection will fail.

Interface with the Asset & Inventory Barcode Scanners

I need some help regarding the integration/interface of barcode scanners with the Assets and Inventory system and it would be greatful if someone can help me out with the possible solution.
The background and my questions are as follows -
On my current project, the Client Asset department uses the barcode scanners (Company - M3 Mobile - MC-7500S) with the legacy system. The barcode scanners generates the excel file and they upload the file in the legacy system, which updates the location and tracking specific data in the system. They also use these the scanners for the good receipt and stocktake of inventory and assets too.
My questions are as follows -
1. How can we interface them with the ECC 6.0 system?
2. What will be the process?
3. Can we update the asset and inventory data into the SAP system?

Not sure if this helps, but our company requires batch uploads - not wireless. Several years ago we developed idocs to handle the transfer of data from a scanner to SAP. This process is still in use today in ECC 6.0. The data passed is Inventory Date, Bar Code, Room, & Location, which is updated on the asset record.

Guys I'm having a doubt, I created a form SapScript in ECC 6.0 for direct printing of Tickets for F110, with a copy of the standard did J_1B_BOLETO_ITAU. But do not print the bar code. I tell you that the SapScript no longer works in version ECC 6.0 is this true?

Hi,
Does your printer have barcode DIMM module installed? In general, if you want to print a barcode, somebody must draw the bars
of the barcode to get a correct print. One way is with a barcode DIMM installed in the printer as per SAP note #45643.
Another possibility is to print via windows and device type SAPWIN, with a barcode.dll installed in the windows. See SAP note 14561.
If your printer doesn't have a barcode DIMM and you don't want to use a barcode.dll, you can use the new barcode technology, which is described in SAP Notes #645158 and #430887. However this is only possible via Smartforms.

Hi,
There are two types are barcode existing in sap like system barcode and printer barcode. Use Tcode SE73 to create any of those.
If you want to create your own customized barcode then you have to opt system barcode. Here while creating barcode it will ask whether to create new barocde or copy of existing barcode.
However by taking into consideration your requirement, you have to create system bar code.
Goto SE73->System barcode->change-> create new barcode->New barcode technology.
Here you have to mention barcode name and short text. then supported barcode symbology like C39,C128, code93 etc.
After selecting any of the symbology, you have to choose Bar Code Alignment: like normal. inverted, etc. Then specify other barcode parameters like height,width, barcode ratio etc.
Then try to print any text element with this customized barcode as per your requirement.
Like you can print text element with smartform style, here you can include your customized created barcode in character format. While creating charactor format, give name of your customized barcode in standard setting->name.
Then print text element by using smartform style.

Printing barcode

i have a problem printing barcode in my sap script.can anyone help me out in this issue. i have checked it in se 73 and i have tried priinting sample barcode its printing. but when i assign barcode from character format by assigning it in character format and the format i used for barcode printing is c128a. but still i am not able to view the barcode on priview as well as on my output.please help me out on this issue . i am working on ecc 6.0 version.

With the code mentioned above the content of the fields BARCODEFIELD1 and BARCODEFIELD2 is output as PDF417 bar code. HPLJ4/HPLJ5/HPLJ4000 must be used as a device type. The character format FS activates in this case the smallest possible font (without modification point 6) when using the modification mentioned above (point 2).
In this case, the complete printer command for PDF417,

may alternatively be stored in a privately defined print control ZPDF4.
In this case, the SAP device type needs to be copied to Zxxxxx and modified accordingly. The example would then read:

The contents of the BARCODEFIELD1, BARCODEFIELD2 fields are output as a PDF417 bar code when you use the aforementioned coding.
A modified copy Zxxxx of HPLJ4/HPLJ5/HPLJ4000 must be used as a device type. In this case, character format FS activates the smallest possible font (without modification point 6, otherwise 2).
The print control ZPDF4 must be defined in the copy Zxxxx of the SAP device type as follows (hexadecimal notation):

SAP - XI -Barcode system

I have a requirement. As soon as a new PO gets generated in my SAP ECC the data should flow to a barcode system for some processing.
I would like to know how can i do it with or without XI ...?

In WE20 specify the processing mode for the IDoc as Trigger Immediately. This would send the PO soon after the IDoc is created for it.

let us know more about the barcode system. If it is a SAP system or can understand the iDoc sent by the ECC it can be done without XI. if not XI is required to transform the IDoc message to the format that the barcode system can understand.
