Barred from international calls

I'm currently barred from international calls on my iPhone 5c, I'm abroad right now so can't even call customer services to get it fixed. Any help?

I've recently returned from France and I discovered that you need to have both international roaming and international premium calls enabled before you can use your phone abroad.
Do you have access to the Internet either through mobile data or WiFi?
Also, what network are you with (Orange, T-Mobile or 4GEE)?

  • UCCX 8.5 Grab full ANI from internal caller

    Hello,
I'm trying to think of a way to grab the full 10 digit ANI from internal callers to my call centers for one of my scripts. I am not having any luck with this manipulation.
    Julius

Is the extension defined as 10 digits, or something else? If something else then you would need to do some kind of lookup against XML/DB to prefix the digits based on the internal extension if there is relationship.

  • Phone barred from calls/texts abroad

    Hi,
In france but unable to do ANYTHING as phone is barred from calls. Was assured in UK phone would work by EE. Is there anyone there to sort this out? There isn't even live chat available.
    Jamie

When you sign in to your MyEE account, are you able to change your roaming setting yourself?
    You can try doing this yourself by doing the following;
Sign into MyEE > Devices and Usage > Device Usage Controls > Allow International Roaming > Allow International and Premium Calls

I got this new iphone 5s as a gift a week days ago, and It was working all great for 2-3 days. But from last 4days i AM not able to make international calls
Whenever I dial, I can't hear any ring going on and all I can hear is my own voice reverting back to me. Moreoever I am being charged for every call I make. I tried restarting my device, Also by connecting to itunes to find if any Update is needed but it says my iOS7 is recent no updates needed.
    Urgent help needed
    Thanks in advance.

A call is a call so far as the phone is concerned. Internation or across the street, it doesn't diferentiate between them.

I changed my data plan from 6g to 8g while my daughter who attends college outside of the US at Toronto Canada (and we have on a international calling and international data plan) was on spring break at her grandparents house here in the US. I made the change online since I had been waiting on the phone for over 10 minutes for a customer service rep to come available. Well when I made the change online since that seems to be the thing that Verizon wants it's customers to do and I didn't see all the different plans available and just did the upgrade to 8g. Next bill had over $900 in roaming charges on her phone line. I called the 1-800 number and waiting for a service rep and after 20 minutes of waiting and being put on hold was told it was the customers mistake and there was nothing they could do.Thanks for nothing. I called back after thinking about it and wondered why changing a data plan for the phones in the US would change a international call plan. Waiting over 10 minutes again between waiting for a service rep and hold for one to answer the call. Gave her all the information about it and she said she would call back. Well, 4 days later over the weekend she had nevered called back. So on the phone again for the third time and after 20 plus minutes again was told that when I did it online I click the plan that didn't include international call only the data plan. Explained that I never saw the difference in the plan packages so put on hold again and was told that they could credit $100 to my bill. Wow, thanks alot !!! We have been Verizon customers for probably atleast 12 years and this is how you treat your long term customers?

  • International Calls Barred

I am on holiday and have had the Samsung S5 for a few weeks without any problems.  I upgarded to the new EE tarrif with roaming minutes and texts as I travel a lot with work.  Having arrived on holiday I find I cannot make calls to uk numbers nor to 150 and am redirected to 1407 which is in Spanish only - wonderful idea EE.  After dumping 15euros into a public phone I am told to check the setting for Call Barring - Voice Call -  International calls to find it is enabled and EE cannot tell me th password but assured me we haved moved forward on the problem (without solving it)  - andother great service EE.  Can anyone who has experinved this help with the code to disable it please?  It is the same on my wife´s handeset where it  is enabled too.  Thanks in Advance

Sorted! Called EE again and spoke to Eileen who was very cheerful and determined to help me.  After she had a couple of conversations with level 2 all she had to do was reset the sim. She called me back after this had been done,  about 30 mins, I powered off then on and the tick simply disappeared.  So persistence is required,  actually seems to be a simple fix if you talk to the right person.  Seems to me that some training,  or at least a memo,  is required for the whole customer service team. Of course, this odd anamoly should not even be there,  but you don't know about it until it is too late,  but all EE customer services team should be aware and know what to do. Good luck!

  • Internal Caller ID off of RP from IPCC

Here is my dilemma. I need to have the alerting name changed from a redirected call off of a menu option in an IPCC script.
    Here is what I did:
    1) Created CTI RP with the desired Internal Caller ID. Configured to Call Forward All to the required destination.
    2) Configured Call Redirect step in script with CTI RP as destination.
Problem: Internal Caller ID never shows up as configured on the RP when call comes in from PSTN through IPCC Script, all I get is the Calling Line ID.
When I call the CTI RP from the inside or from the outside (xlate from DID) I get the Internal Caller ID of the RP.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jason

Think I found a solution (or workaround). Found a setting in Service Parameters called 'Display CTI Route Point Name or DN'. Once this was set to true I could see the information I was expecting.
Are there any caveats to having this enabled?

  • Outgoing International calls barred

I've had this issue ever since I joined EE (almost a year ago) but as I've not been abroad much I've not managed to fix it yet - In my account settings (on this site) both 'Roaming Abroad' and 'Call Anywhere in the World' are enabled (on both the usage and the group usage screens). On my phone however (Sony Xperia Z3 Compact), if I go into call barring settings, 'Outgoing International Roaming' is Barred - If I try to disable this it asks me to 'Enter Password' - what it is looking for is a 4 digit pin which I do not have - I've spoken to EE tech support in the past and was told they had enabled roaming settings on my account but this has not fixed it. How can I get this pin/change this setting? It is definitely not a hardware issue/phone setting, as per mutiple users on this forum:tried turning it off but it asks for a password - have rung ee and they have never heard of the problem - i told them loads of people have had same problem and that they have all posted it on this forum but they still couldnt sort the problem. Spent ages on the phone to them and been told to phone back tomorrow so they can try and get through to level 2 tech support. http://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Android-Forum/international-call-barring/m-p/211057http://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Android-Forum/International-Calls-Barred/m-p/139001 The fix generally appears to be :My final call was to EE and the tech support passed me to higher level (4?) tech who made a change on the network side hich had international calls barred even though roaming and everything else was set up on the contract side.  Resart and International Call Carring was disabled without having to enter the password.

Unwanted calls are never pleasant! To confirm, are these calls only coming from 3 digits numbers? If coming from 10 digit number we offer 5 free blocks via https://wbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/nos/safeguards/SafeguardProductDetails.action?productName=callMessageBlocking. While not the most convenient, we also offer the ability to change your phone number free via http://www.vzw.com/myverizon.

  • Won't boot from internal HD

Hi guys, my MacBook won't boot from internal HD. The boot up chimes without Apple Logo and ends in a question mark folder.
I'll explain how I ended up with this boot issue:
I deleted a folder called “usr” with many other folders like “x11” in it from Volume/Macintosh HD. I couldn't launch iTunes afterward so I shut down and stuck with the shut down wheel spinning screen, so I force shut down and restart.
The Apple Logo showed in boot up but froze with Kernal Panic (You have to force shut down the computer...). I tried to restart many times after Resetting PRAM but the same. I'm afraid it's a hardware issue so i removed each third party RAM one at a time, still the same.
Since the hardware test CD also checked with no problem, I decided to boot from Snow Leopard Installer DVD to Repair Permission & Disk. Nothing needed to be fixed so I reformat the internal HD and reinstall OS X 10.6. The installation finished in 40 minutes but won't boot from the HD.
This lead me to think that it could be a HD failure (but Target Disk Mode shows up perfectly fine, the HD is readable) so I replaced it with my previous 250GB 2.5“ HD and did a clean installation of OS X.
I'm still stuck with the same boot up without Apple Logo and ended up with a question mark folder. Both HD (500GB & 250GB) are fine and readable with OS X in it, but it just doesn't boot.
Does anyone experience this before and any feedback will be very much appreciated. I'm really worry and I have a deadline coming next week...

Although it's possible the hard drive has failed, it's more likely that system files have been damaged. The question mark means no bootable system was found. Before throwing in the towel you might try the following:
How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

My mac desktop will not provide sound from internal speakers.  When I go to audio devices window it only shows airplay.  How can I get internal speakers back.

There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Some may not apply to your model. Back up all data before making any changes.
    1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
    2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
    3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
    4. Other third-party software that has been reported to interfere with sound output includes "Boom" and "Samsung Kies." If applicable, uninstall according to the developer's instructions (not by dragging something to the Trash.)
    5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
    6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select Built-in Output from the list on the left. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them.
    7. If a red light is visible in the audio-out port when sound should be playing, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
    8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
    9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
    10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
    11. Reset the NVRAM.
    12. Reset the SMC.
    13. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/Audio
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Recreate your settings in the Sound preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    14. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
    15. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.

  • Can't receive International call which is on saved...

I hope someone can help me with this problem.....
I have a BT phone that has automatic barring of certain  types of calls (withheld numbers, etc).
However, I do not have International calls barred as my brother lives in France and I did not want him to run the risk of being barred.
He is also in my saved list - his number starts 0033 for France then his own number.
If I call him from my saved list it connects ok (i.e. the number saved is correct).
However if he calls me from the same phone his call is barred - it is not shown in the display as one of my saved numbers AND it gets barred as an International call despite this feature not being used.
To be honest I don't want to get two different problems mixed up here so if someone could just tell me why he isn't being recognised as being in my saved list despite the saved number apparently being correct, then that would be a start.
Can I also mention that my other saved numbers (i.e. UK numbers) all come through ok and are displayed accordingly.
    rrsvp with any ideas please....!
    Solved!

International caller display has not yet been implemented by BT, which is why you are getting the problem.
