Barry installed but how to start/use???

Yesterday, I installed the package barry from the AUR, including the necessary dependencies.
After input of yaourt -S barry the following was read in the pacman.log:

In my opinion, compiling and installing itself took a relatively long time. But so be it!
Then comes the disappointment: How the hell I can start the "BlackBerry-Desktop-Manager-Substitute"?
No entry is to be found in the Gnome main menu and the Bash reports: command not found.
No errors were issued during the installation, so what's wrong?

So, I connected my BlackBerry to the computer, using USB.
BUT !!! Never mind which command I run, always the following message apears:
$ bidentify
libusb couldn't open USB device /dev/bus/usb/002/004: Permission denied.
libusb requires write access to USB device nodes.
exception caught: (Keine Berechtigung): open failed
(Keine Berechtigung means no authorization)

Those links weren't particularly helpful to me. They convinced me to install the drivers for my USB 2.0 card, but that didn't make a difference. Still no OS X without a PRAM reset if I've dared to venture into OS 9.
It's always been my understanding that an unblessed System Folder will not be selectable in OS 9's Startup Disk control panel. My folders are blessed and healthy. Of course I'm running 9.2.2, as stated in my first message. I also frequently verify and repair my disks and permissions.
I did a verbose startup of OS X, and noticed something funny about "ATY...too old." Perhaps this problem is related? I ventured into my system.log file and there it was, repeated over and over, everytime I've booted this computer:

Anyone know how to interpret that? Is it related to my problem? I googled it, and all I found was a web board of people arguing over whether the Apple installed stock ATI Rage video card that came in the G3's is appropriate for Panther. The Ye's have it as far as I'm concerned...as long as I leave OS 9 alone, my video is fine on this computer!

You have to be in a country to use its store - you will need to be in the US and have a US billing address on your account to be able to use the US store (that applies to buying and redownloading).
You can use iTunes Match in South Africa, do you not have a backup copy of all of your US iTunes purchases so that you can subscribe to it and upload those that aren't in the South African store to it ?

After the installation did you restart the computer? If you go into Control Panel>Programs and Features do you see BlackBerry Desktop Software listed in the applications?
Did you have a previous version of BlackBerry Desktop Software installed?

I have a cuepoint set in my flv...but how do I use it?

Basically, I am using the flv player component. I want to

The only way to create an Apple ID & not have a payment method associated with the ID, is to follow the directions here:

With an existing ID, you either need a credit card or you need to redeem an iTunes gift card. So, in your case, either create a new ID, or associate a credit card with your existing ID, or redeem an iTunes gift card.

It sounds as if you did not put in a pair of identical memory modules or did not use guaranteed compatible memry modules. You can't use the module that was already there unless the one you are adding is identical in all respects.
Only use guaranteed modules in identical pairs if you want your memory upgrade to work right the first time.

To set the default boot volume use the Startup Manager system preferences once you are booted back into the OSX. Then you would only need the option key at boot time to boot into the "other" OS.

Purchased games and trying to install but won't start installing or nothing.

Hi I have just purchased call of duty and GTA4 for the game to play on my mac book pro.
I went to download it from the App store and it did start downloading located down in the dock however, once the internet conncetion has been interrupted the icon of the 2 games which were saying it was downloading have gone somewhere and the icon has just disappeared. I went back to teh App store and clicked on the part where it says purchases. I found the 2 games I was trying to install. On the right hand side on the games, it says INSTALL.
I clicked it. ok what now? nothing happens. It doesnt even say resume downloading or anything. It just say install.
Click click. Nothing happens. Hwo can I resume the downloads again?

Launch the App Store. From the App Store menu bar top of your screen click Store > Check for Unfinished downloads.
If that doesn't help, try here > Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
If that doesn't help try this...
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Tips and tricks on how to start using iCloud

I'm currently using plain iTunes sync to sync my calendars between my iMAC and various iPods and iPads. It's a bit labour intensive to keep all devices in sync, so I've decided to use iClouds for that purpose. But before I start I would like some advice from the community, as I fear to get multiple calendar entries when I turn on iCloud on all my devices (all calendars are of course currently in sync). I also guess that I should turn off the iTunes sync before I enable iCloud.
Anything else to be aware/afraid of?

Well, I couldn't wait I started off with my iPod Touch. SYnced the old way in iTunes and then deselected "Sync Calendars" and synced once more. Now the Touch calendar was empty. I then enabled iCloud (only for Calendars) on my iMac. Checked iCloud, looked good. Then I enabled iCloud on my Touch and crossed my fingers, nut no worry, everything was OK. Until I connected my Touch the old fationed way!!! I can no longer sync Notes, Contacts etc.. in iTunes. And even worse when I now connect my iPad the old way I get the same error message (iTunes could not sync information to the iPad because a sync session could not be started) and the sync tick mark for Contacts, Calendars, emails and Bookmarks are unchecked in Itunes!!!!!
I think I'll try to find a fallback from this mess

Delete the current copies and then download again (free) from your purchased history. If the problem persists contact iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

New software instruments installed but not found to use

Help please
I have downloaded 3 new AMG expansion, synth and power packs in garageband 08' running on a g5 with leopard os and though they appear on the HD where they should (HD/library/garageband/instrument library/sampler/sampler instrument) they are not found once inside garageband-new software track instruments.
Why is this happening and how can newly installed software instruments appear for use inside a track?

Hi there, I have requested new install discs from Applecare they gave me a number - where and how do I use this? Is there somewhere here I can use it. Took me forever to find the applecare number.

Sorry - newbie to the discussions - did not make myself clear. I have ordered replacement discs.
At the end of the call they gave me a reference number. I was wondering if it is some kind of tracking numer that I can look up or is it just for me to check in with if I have not received the discs in a couple of weeks?
