Base sample Quantity
Dear Experts,
While creating Inspection plan system is not allowing to enter more than 3 digits of the sample base quantity in the inspection characteristics overview screen . What is the maximum number of digits we can enter .

Sample quantity consumption in QA11
Dear All,
I have come across a scenerio where in sample unit of measure is other than inspection lot unit of measure and we want to post sample stock in the other uom only.
Scenerion-
Inspection lot is created in the base unit of measure 'BT'. At the time of testing we are taking the tablets from the packed product. Now produced material base UOM is BT but I am taking samples in tabletes because we dont want to waste entire bottle.
Now at the time of sample posting we want system to consume sample quantity in 'Tablets' and not in bottles. But system is not giving such kind of flexibility over there.
Is this requirement can be fulfilled by some of workaround ? Pls. suggest.

Amit PatilYou need to maintain a conversion between your bottle and tablets in your material master. Then create your inspection plan for tablets and assign the material to it.
In hindsight, your BUOM really should be tablets and not a bottle. Typically it is recommended that the smallest utlized UOM is what you want to use for your BUOM.

Sample Quantity to be in alternative Uom
Dear QM Gurus,
We have a material which has basic uom as KG. We will be maintaining the alternative uom as PCS and conversion factor as 1KG = 1330 PCS in Material master. Now we want sample quantity in the inspection lot to be created in alternative uom instead of basic uom. Already we maintained PCS in inspection plan header level & MIC. But still the sample quantity is coming in KG.
Kindly guide me to solve this issue.Refer

Credit check on the basis of quantity

The requirement is such that the credit check is to be configured on the basis of quantity. A customer is fixed with a total order quantity of 1 lakh and if the quantity goes beyond 1 lakh the system error should come.
Thanx and RegardsMay be you can check whether if you can do this via a user exit for credit limit. You can follow the below steps
1) Create a Separate risk category for this customer.
2) and assign a User Exit check for this category customer in OVA8
3) Modify the User exit to your requirement.
The User exit which can be used for this purposes are...
LVKMPFZ1: USER_CREDIT_CHECK1
LVKMPFZ2: USER_CREDIT_CHECK2
LVKMPFZ3: USER_CREDIT_CHECK3
There are three buttons of User exit in the OVA8 Screen. each button is numbered as 1,2,3 internally, if you mark User exit 1, then modify the first program .... like tht..
also you can explore the option of having a Quantity contract.. Create a QC for 1lakh Qty and try to refer this QC when ever u are creating the order. Of course this will not stop you from creating an order with more qty, unless you explicitly throw an error..

Allocation on the basis of Quantity Produce
Dear All,
I want to do distribution through assessement of Over/Underabsorption of cost center on the basis of Quantity produce in that plant to COPA Value Field.. is that possible
Example
Cost Center A-1001 is having the Over/Underabsorption of 100000Rs
Now client ask that i want to distribute this cost to my product produce in that plant on the basis of Quantity produce in that plant.
I can get the sale quantity and weigh of the sale quantity in value field in COPA but how can i get the quantity produce in that plant.

I want to allocate overhead cost from different cost centers to production cost centers. This allocation must be done on the basis of quantity manufactured.
Please let me know, if this is possible by any means (say for example: assessment and distribution cycle).

Me and my colleague executed it and we got it.
But I have following issue. Please help.
In our case, there are 20 FGs (it means 20 production cost center i.e. 20 receivers). Now out of these 20, we want to trf cost only to 15 FGs. Hence there will be only 15 cost centers as receivers. (Reason being: 5 FGs are pertaining to other plant for which CO is not being implemented).
Senders will be 45 cost centers. Total value of all 45 cost centers is Rs. 90 Crores. But this 90 crores is pertaining to entire 20 FG. Hence system should proportionately transfer for 15 cost centers only.
Remaining amount for balance 5 cost centers should not get transferred. Is it possible to achieve? -

I'm trying to do a GR using LB11 but when I try do execute TO in background I receive this error in the log.
"Decision required for sample quantity in foreground processing"
Trying in foreground I have in following message: Inspection sample quantity must be greater than 0 for this processing.
May I have a missing configuration in the strategies?
I need to do this on background.I just found that the interface QM-WM was not fully configured in SPRO.
The interface control WM-QM was not set correctly for the storage Type search sequences. -
Change of Sample quantity.
Dear all,
We are using inspection plan (task list type Q) for result recording for all the inspection lots. Prepared individual inspection plan for each material, hence the specs are different for each material. To reduce the number of MIC we have kept all the MIC as Incomplete Copy model. So set the details for the MIC like Control Indicators, Sampling Procedures, Specification Limits, Selected Set, Sample Size etc. in the inspection lot itself.
Now as per some business process changes the sample quantity is required to be changed for all the MICs in all the inspection plans.
So, is there any way to changes the sample size in the inspection plan in Bulk (Mass Change)?

Try this out.
In CWBQM , In current working screen area , you will have options - Header level and operation level.
Select operation level working area & proceed.
(At header level , it is not allowing to do changes )
Select the matls using multiple selection , you will get the operation wise list.
From there , you can go to inspection char level.
Here it will allow to do mass change the sampling procedure by selecting rows and sampling proc column.
I could do mass change only at the char level & not at that operation level. I am not sure , whether it can be done at the operation level.

QM Sample quantity (TR to TO)
Hi Friends,
I am getting a problem while creating TO for TR automatically. There are four options for sample quantity in LT04.
1. Insp.sample qty remains in GR area
2. Transfer qty to inspection bin
3. Place quantity into stock
4.Skip TR item
By default first option is getting selected but I need to select third option by default . From which config setting it is possible?

While doing GR , TO should be created automatically. But due to config missing "Place quantity into stock"(as per previous mail) is not getting selected automatically so bin is not getting updated for Quality Stock automatically. While doing MIGO TR is creating in WM tab but it should not create. Please let me know if you need screen shot for better understanding.

In XI we have a SWCV named as SAP BASIS (mentioed in earlier replies as well) which is the required SWCV to work with IR. This is the default component and contains detail about amny things which includes Adapter details as well.

Pls elobrate your sampling scheme again. It seems from here that schema is not working over here in this case, may be because your Lot sice is not corresponding to it or due to some ohter reason, but what I can derive, your scheme is not wroking, because,,,,,,,
The conversion factor for gal to lit is some,, 1gal=3.785412 Lit, according to it 50gal (your Lot size) = 189.2706 lit. And yor total number of physical same is 3 (from your SDP) so system is deviding the lot size / number of physical samle,
This is the picture I can assume from your thread.
Now pls let me know,
What is the sample size u'ave defined in the tasklist?
What is the sample type you have defined the Sampling Type? It must reperesent the Scheama, but as per the sample calculation you have described it seems that it may have "FIXED SAMPLE".

In my insp. plan i defined Quantitative specification as 70.0 with '1' decimal place in Qunatitative data. but after results recording it displaying one more decimal place excessi.e., as 70.00. How can i solve this problem, due to what this problem is occure. Please if any, solve its urgent.

While entering Inspection Characteristics.. There is a field called DecPlaces on the right. its the 24th field on the item table.
The field comes after
Method, Insp Method plant, Version, Sampling Procedure, Sample Unit of Measure, Base Sample Quantity, SPC Criterion, Modification Rule, Test Eqpmt, Test Equip Short Text, Par Sample, DecPlace, Unit of Measure, Target Value, Lower spec Lmt, Upper Spec Lmt... and so on...

Here your requirement is Discount is in percentage but scale basis is quantity.
So use Condition Type RA01 (Discount % on Gross) or Copy of it, in Calculation Schema (M/08)
Note: - Keep Scale basis as ''C" Quantity scale for the Discount Condition Type
Now in ME11 (Purchase Info Record) OR MEK1 (Condition Record), maintain scales for this condition type ss for 100 Qty, 2.00% Discount.
