Base version for 10.2.0.3

Hi,
I have to install oracle 10 on AIX6.1 , i have found that it needs 10.2.0.3/4 patch ..
Please tell me that can which version i have to install before installing the patch 10.2.0.3/4
the answer seems to me as 10.2.0.1 shouold be installed and then the patch 10.2.0.3/4
But my question is can i install *10.1.0.2* and the patch 10.2.0.3/4 ... will it still work?

Is there any way to upgrade 10.1 to 10.2.0.3 ?There are two separate parts to an 'upgrade'. The first is the software, and the second is the database.
To go from 10.1.x to 10.2.0.4 you need the following sequence (as described in the Upgrade manual)
1.Install 10.1.0.4
2.Create the database
3.Install 10.2.0.1 into a separate ORACLE_HOME (required)
4.Upgrade the database to 10.2.0.1 (optional and I do not recommend this)
5.Patch the new home to 10.2.0.4
6.Upgrade the database to 10.2.0.4 (required)
You have accomplished the first 2.
I strongly encourage reading the upgrade manual http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14238/preup.htm takes you to the relevant section. I also strongly encourage reading the patch README files.

The version you are using is certified. However, in the Spring of 2006 Oracle certified 11i to use the Sun Java instead of JInitiator. Please take a look at this posting for more information: http://blogs.oracle.com/schan/2006/04/18#a23

FFT for LV Base Version

Where can I find free 3rd party FFT components to use with Base Version of Labview?

I think you can compute both DFT og FFT by programming in Labview. It is not so hard. The DFT and FFT is much the same. Remember for FFT you need 2^N samples. Start with the DFT algorithm. Then you have it correct you may go for the FFT. It is much the same calculations and uses the same core functions. Here is some useful sites. Also do a search on Google for "fft algorithm". My guess is that you will save some time doing the programming our yourselves.

Creation of Runtime version for Knowledge base

We are using a Configurable material (CM1) with profile (P1) assigned to it. The profile assigned has the following details (in tx cu42):
. a. Config parameters Sales order
. b. BOM explosion Single level
As per SAP The Single-Level BOM Explosion setting is not supported when configuration Engine is used. But in our R/3 system, the configuration profile used has a setting for Single level BOM explosion (point b written above).
So while creating the Run time version for the KB (for material CM1), an error message comes Configuration profile P1 for material CM1 is invalid for Cause 1 - The setting is Single level BOM explosion
Please help how can the issue be resolved?

the only resolution is to change the configuration profile to multi-level explosion.

Powershell script to find number of major and minor version for a item

Is there a way to figure out to get the total major and minor version count for an item in powershell.
I can get the count on basis of following
“Item Versions” = $item.Versions.Count
but not sure how to get number of major and number of minor version for an item. Pls advice.

There might be an easier way, but this should work:
foreach($item in $list.Items)
$minor = 0
$major = 0

$minor += 1
else #Assume Level must be Published

HPUX-IA64 version for BOE XI 3.1 Sp2

Can I get confirmation on whether HPUX-IA64 Specifically:

if it's supported for BOE XI 3.1 SP2 and SAP IK 3.1 SP2?
I would like to use this version for our OS going forward and want to confirm.

BOE XI 3.1 SP2 do support the HPUX-IA64 and mentioned OS. But some tools does not work like LCM and voyager. Checkout for the possibility for this tools with your users.

can I find official informtion on www.oracle.com over the requirements for the APEX 4?
I am looking for the minimum the database version for APEX4.
Is there no statement directly from Oracle? I could only find information about the new features of APEX 4, but no requirements for it.

Is there any version of SAP R/3 server for application development?
I develop my external application in Java in Eclipse environment (I use basically Material Management module), but I am using server from my university which is currently unavailable. I need access to server asap and therefore I wonder whether there is any version for development.

Create DC Failed: base-version-set-not-open

About a week ago, I created a new track BAMSPOC2. I imported a number of components into it from another track. Today, I'm trying to create a new DC on this BAMSPOC2 track. However, I keep getting a "Create DC Failed" error such as the following:

And, I can create DC's on other tracks just fine.

UCM 11g Base version

Hi,
We are planning to migrate our system from ucm 10g to 11g.
Current Set up : Webcenter 11g 11.1.1.4. It was upgraded from 11.1.1.2 to 11.1.1.4
When we had Webcenter 11.1.1.2 we were using the ucm 10g version which was compatible. Now since we have upgraded the Webcenter to PS3 version we had to upgrade the ucm to 11.1.1.4.
1. Download the 11.1.1.4 version and upgrade.
2. Do we have any base version in ucm as in webcenter for which 11.1.1.2 is a base version on top of which
further upgrade can be made ?. If so can you please let me know the version.

Webcenter and UCM share the same versioning method and the first version that you will install is termed as the base version . So if I download the latest UCM and install it for me it is the base version . Now any upgrade on top this will be upgrading the base .
I would suggest you to download Patch 12395130 and apply it on UCM which will upgrade your system to the most latest release in ECM . It will be 11.1.1.5.0

No, they are not available under the base version. I would recommend searching on ni.com for those VIs and choosing the 'Online Help' option on the left. The title of whatever shows up should tell you what's not available in what version

Remote Component SAPWUS Configuration require base version

Hi,
I would like to patch my SAPGUI Installation Server for SAPGUI 7.30 from patch 7 to patch 8.
I have downloaded gui730_08-10010496.exe.
My SAPGUI Installation Server is at version 9.0.43.0.
I got the following error in my NwUpdateInstServer.log:
Remote component '$SAPWUS Configurations' ({41D37BB1-B482-41BC-A1A4-B3662A55A021}) requires base version 2114, but local component is at version 902.
Installation server at <D:\SAPGUI\>: not all base versions are present
May I know how to solve this?

Hi ZL,
It might be that you used a sapsetup patch that didn't include AWUS, yet you are using AWUS or have installed/patched it in the past. So, I would start by applying the latest 'P2' sapsetup patch (pl45) to your installation server before applying the latest sapgui core patch. Also, hotfix 1 for pl8 for the gui core is now available and recommended, so you might want to go straight for that and bypass the original pl8.
Specifically, I think the files you probably need are:
SAPSETUP90P2SP00P_45-20008539.EXE
gui730_08_1-10010496.exe
