Baseball card template

I need to create a template to make 9 baseball card size cards on each page. The cards need to be 2 1/2" X 3 1/2". I've been using a business card template and trying to enlarge each card but I'm not having any success. Help?!

Define "Not having any Success."
If you need to be stepped through the process:
Open the blank Layout mode template.
1. Make 1 Card: +Toolbar > TextBox > Inspector > Metrics > Size: > Width 2.5" / Height 3.5"+
2. Paste/Type in any text and images and arrange as you like.
If you are having trouble positioning any images: +Toolbar > Shapes > Rectangle (or whatever) > Inspector > Wrap > Floating+ and position it over your text box.
3. Select all objects and +Menu > Arrange > Group+
4. Select the grouped objects and +option shift drag+ sideways to make a copy. Again to make a 3rd card. +Menu > Arrange > Distribute Objects > Horizontally+
5. Select the 3 copies above and +option shift drag+ them down twice to make a full set of 9.
6. Select all: +Menu > Arrange > Distribute Objects > Vertically+
7. Fine position them with +Inspector > Graphic > Position+

Pages '08 Business Card Template Question

In Pages '08, is there a way to change the business card template page view to a single card view, allowing me to create one card that would automatically display itself in all 10 positions when the layout is changed to multiple card view? This can be done with the old Appleworks program, but I can find no way to do this with Pages. It seems I have to choose a card template, modify one of the boxes with my info, then copy and paste it into the other 9 boxes. Is this correct? If so, it is a step way behind the Applewoprks method.

Yes it is a step backwards, but herre is the way to work with it.
Create your one card, highlight all of its components, group them, then copy and paste it into the space below it perfectly. NOW DON'T TOUCH ANOTHER KEY!!! Instead, just repeat the paste function (Command+V) 3 times to fill the left side of the card stock. Now paste another one in the right top spot, select the right top, copy and paste and then position in the next lower spot to repeat what you did on the left side. If you positioned the second card correctly, this should have only taken maybe 1-1½ minutes.

How do you add the same information in a business card template?

I have filled in one business card correctly in the informal business card template. How do I copy that information to all the other cards? I am using the new version of Pages. Thanks.

You will have to move each card into position manually. The side panel will give you measureemnts to position it accurately.

I'm using a card template and trying to find what Avery product I should get to print the card on

I using a Pages greeting card template and trying to find out what Avery product I should buy to print it on. Where is this infromation?

The Avery web site has the layouts of its products and also ms Word tempaltes that open in Pages.
If you wish to use the Pages' templates select the overall rectangle of the card:
Inspector > Metrics
To find out the size and then look for the matching Avery stock, you will probably have to adjust bot the size and position for a close match.
However since greeting cards are just rectangles folded in half all you need to do is print them on card stock with some crop marks offset from the corners and cut them out with a sharp knife or a guillotine. Not rocket science.

Is there there more than one lame birthday card template somewhere?

New to iMac. We have Pages not Office. Daughter needs to make a birthday card. "Daddy, can you show me how to do it on the MAC?" Sure honey, Its probably just like you did on the old computer. WRONG! "Daddy, is that the only birthday card they have? That's lame" Yes sweety, it is.
Is ther a place where I can get some more templates? preferrably some that are twice folded cards so they don't need an 8.5" envelope
Any help is appreciated.

Although you posted this in the iWork for iOS forum, it appears that you actually have the desktop version, so I'll answer in that context.
It looks to me like Pages includes two lame birthday card templates. In addition, Pages can usually open templates for Microsoft Word. A Google search brings up lots of templates availlable on the web; most of them are probably lame.
All a template is, really, is a formatted document. If it is the right size, the lame content or lack of variety don't matter because you aren't supposed to keep that content; it's just a placeholder for something original of your own.

Quarter fold card template for pages

I've just bought a mac mini and love it.
I'm still moving over from MS products to Apple and it's going pretty well apart from MS Publisher.
This still seems to be better at certain things than Pages.
One issue is the lack of templates for cards in particular.
Does anyone know where i can get hold of a quarter fold card template for Pages?
I did see one but it was for Pages 09 and version 5.5.2 doesn't seem to open it.

You can use a free Avery for MS Word Greeting Card. Click the Template Only (works with PC and Mac) radio button, and then download. Open in Pages v5.5.2, and first save as a Pages document in your Documents folder. Set the font, etc. to what you want in your Quarter-fold card template. Once you have done that, from the File menu, select Save as Template, and give it a name. While you are there, observe what a right-click on the template name presents in a pop-up menu.
When you open Pages without specifying a document, it will default to a Template Chooser. Your Quarter-fold template is parked in the User Templates category.
Pages v5.5.2 is not designed to compete as a true Desktop Publishing/Layout application. If you want to open Publisher documents on the Mac, get a free copy of LibreOffice, which will open them. Since it is not Publisher itself, your mileage will vary on layout accuracy. The LibreOffice PDF documentation is available, and created with LibreOffice. Since this is a superset, MS Office replacement package, there is a forms designer in the Writer application, and the ability to open PDF and edit them also exists. There is also complete Visio support from the first version to the latest.
When you first launch LibreOffice, you must click the open button in the initial dialog, and afterwards, a double-click will open it normally. This will be true for any Mac applications obtained outside the OS X App Store.

Open your iBA and select Table of Contents.
You need to place the images on each Chapters page by dropping it into the placeholder.

Flash Card Template Help

Hello, I need to make "flash cards" for a final project. However, when I try to download a flash card template it will not download on the my computer because it is a mac. What I am really looking for is a template or something that I can put into word and then print off because this project has to be like a game. I was going to use this template so that all the cards were equal size and the project did not look like it had been put together in 5 minutes. What would the best option be? Thank you!

Corrupt card template HELP!!

Ok here is what is going on:
In my address book i have all 200 of my contacts etc. There is a problem now though.
My card template is corrupt.
The physical address is now gone from the template and I can't get it back. So I have numbers, email, messengers and all the other fields yet the address will not show up in the card. When I look on my ipod the addresses are there so i know they are in the data but not showing up.
I have gone into the address book preferences and here are the two things i noticed.
1. under the "template" I cannot add the address it is already greyed out like it is already being shown, however i know it is not.
2. Also under the "general" tab, i cannot select any sort of address format it is locked on something called item3 and it will not change I can't even get a pull down. the other sortby and fontsize pull downs work but not the address format.
I have already tried dumping the preferences file, and restoring all of the contacts from time machine but no go. Does anyone know where this template is located and if I can "reset" it?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

in the past i have had success in rebuilding the address book database when i had a problem with searching for example. i do not know if that would help with your issue, but that issue strikes me as a database issue too, so that is why i am bringing it up here.
here is what i do: first i quit address book, then for safety i go to the homefolder/library/application support/address book and i copy/back up that folder somewhere else, then i go back to that folder and locate the file addrssbook-v22.abcddb and trash/delete it. once that is done i launch ab again. you may want to try this and see if that helps your issue.

Can I instal Photoshop Elements Card Templates into my Photoshop CS3?

I have a need for some card templates and I read online that Elements has this option. Is this something that I can upload into my Photoshop CS3? I assume that anything that Elements can do, CS3 would be more than capable of performing the same functions

Invitation/greeting card templates

Maybe I'm missing something, but if Apple really wants Pages to shine, they need to put invitation/greeting card templates in the app. Again, I've only just bought the app, so I could very well have missed something.

To create a template should take no more than 5 minutes at most.
Make a dummy of the folded card out of a sheet of paper, then unfold it to act as a guide.
1. Make a blank Layout mode document 2pp to the unfolded size
2. Drag out 1 horizontal guide and 1 vertical guide to the centre of document dividing it into 4
3. Make appropriate text boxes/image shapes on the 4 sections:
+Menu > Format Advance > Define as Placeholder Text / Image+
4. Rotate them into the correct position
+Inspector > Metrics > Rotate+
5. +Menu > File > Save as Template…

How do I get a blank card template

I want to make my own cards, but I can't get the horizontal & vertical card templates to get rid of the images already in there. I just want a blank card template. thanks

You may know what version of Pages you are referring to, or which templates, but you haven't told us.
On the off chance it is Pages 5.5.2 I just checked and can click on all the elements and delete them.
Only the Birthday card has locked elements:
click on them > Menu > Arrange > Unlock > delete
The menus mean what they say.

I'm looking for a numbers template that works like a budget sheet and amortization table for credit cards. Anyone have one or suggest one?

You can do something like this:
The top table (named "Setup") is where you enter the basic details of your credit card debt. The second table (named "Payoff Schedule") details the interest and payments.
First let's make the table "Setup":
the only computation is cell "B12":
B12=B3/36500
I formatted cells B1 and B2 as "$", B4 as a date.
Now the "Payoff Schedule":
A2=ROW()-2
B2=EDATE(Setup :: $B$4,A2)
C2=IF(A2>0, C1-D2+E2,Setup :: B1)
D2=IF(A2>0, Setup :: $B$2, 0)
E2=IFERROR(Setup :: $B$6*F2*C1, 0)
F2=IFERROR(DATEDIF(B1,B2, "D"), 0)
select A2 through F2 and fill down.

How to create gift card template in Illustrator?

I'm trying to create a gift card in Illustrator. When I initally create new document under "File", I set the width to 3.5" and height 2.25" and the top, bottom, left and right bleed to .125". There wasn't an option to preset the radius of corners for the gift card. The gift card appears square in the document like a business card. How do I create the rounded corners of gift card in Adobe Illustrator CS5 (PC)? Lastly how far do I inset the dash line where text (or QR code) will be positioned? I wish to be able to save gift card document as a template for future projects.

Double click on the layer in an area of that layer which is not occupied by info to the right of name.
this dialog appears check Template if it is not already selected and that automatically makesi non printing but you can not work on that layer.
You can also uncheck printing the layer will not print but you cans ill work on it.
Hrre is the rounded rectangle tool.
select the rounded rectangle tool and double click on the document (artbaord ) to bring up the dialog and enter te dimensions of the card and the radius corners.
Now you us ehe align panel or the align icons in the control panel to align the rounded rectangle to your artboard using he option to align to artboard.
Now the video shoul have filled your screen unless ou are using a low resolution for your monitor.
Bu more important you should read help files about creating documents using the various tools and the various panels and either take a course in using Illustrator or read some books on the subject.
The Real World Illustrator book by Mordy Goldin is a good one.
But it is going to very frustrating if you have noi working knowledge of the application.
