Based experienced iPhone developer for work and tutoring
I work for a company in Knutsford, Cheshire and I have recently developed an iPhone app, which is live in the app store. I am looking for a developer that would be suitable for a couple of days training work helping me to improve my skills and improve the at the app at the same time, and also tackle some more complicated new features we have planned. It is quite a complicated app and the help needed is on the programming side involving data transfer, xml, sqlite3 and memory management and using javascript/webviews to pass to and from the objective c part.
I think the areas in which I am lacking/struggling are memory management, overall structure and design (programming wise rather than visual) and correct/best use of objects/objective c. We could obviously show you the app and probably the code before doing the training days, explaining how I have done it and what we have planned to ensure that we aren’t wasting time.
It would work really well tackling actual problems with the application. I think that any crashes in the current version are down to memory management (not that it is running out of memory, more that I may have incorrectly disposed of, retained or referenced things) also time outs/connection drops when uploading or downloading. A few frameworks have become available/more stable since developing the app but there is a deadline coming up for this new revision and that we don’t have time to change to a different core framework.
I anticipate that I would probably need 2 days of training in which we would cover:
Day 1 – addressing issues with current system and improving the aspects mentioned above.
Day 2 – planning further development plans and tackling the unknowns.
It may be worth paying the tutor to spend a day before I meet them to fully review the code so that they are prepared and so that we make the best use of the time. Please let me know if you are interested and we can take it from there. We would be happy to cover travelling costs etc if you are suitable and live in the UK but not locally.

Apple doesn't have anything to do with this other than enforcing the DRM protection. The developers of this content expect to be paid if someone wants to use their content. When you purchase content in the app store, you purchase a license to use the content. This license does not permit you or anyone else to resell or give this content away. The individual you purchased the phone from simply does not have the right to sell or give away any purchased content on the phone. You were deceived.

When the update fails what if any error report do you get, specifically? Please do this before trying again:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X. -

For each mail account, along with designating a primary SMTP server, you should be able to just turn off any and all other SMTP servers you have listed. In that case, if there is a problem with comcast, the message send should just fail.
Also make sure your comcast smtp settings are correct (port, likely 587 but might be something else for comcast, whether you should be suing SSL or not, do you need authentication or not).

Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to rest the passcode during this process:
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Each library has an internal ID and when iTunes connects to your iPod/iPad/iPhone it compares the local ID with the one the device normally syncs with. I have my library cloned to a small 1Tb USB drive which I can take between home & work. At either location I use SyncToy 2.1 to update the local copy with the external drive. Mac users should be able to find similar tools. I can open either of the local libraries or the one on the external drive and update the media content of my iPhone. The slight exception is Photos which normally connects to a specific folder on a specific machine, although that can easily be remapped to the current library if you create a "Photos" folder inside the iTunes Media folder so that syncing the iTunes folders keeps this up to date as well. I periodically sweep my library for new files & orphans withiTunes Folder Watch just in case I make changes at one location but then overwrite the library with a newer copy from the other. Again Mac users should be able to find similar tools.
As long as your media is organised within an iTunes Music or Tunes Media folder, in turn held inside the main iTunes folder that has your library files (whether or not you let iTunes keep the media folder organised) each library can access items at the same relative path from the library folder so the library can be at different drives/paths on different machines. This solution ensures I always have adequate backups of my library and I can update my devices whenever I can connect to the same build of iTunes.
When working with an iPhone earlier builds of iTunes would remove any file not physically present in the local library, even if there was an entry for it, making manual management practically redundant on the iPhone. This behaviour has been changed but it will still only permit manual management with a library that has the correct internal ID. If you don't want to sync your library between machines on a regular basis just copy the iTunes Library.itl file from the current "home" machine to any other you want to use, then clean out the library entires and import the local content you have on that box.

i just got a new iphone 4 for att and my friend installed the sim card in it for me. the imessage function isnt connecting with the my cell number. a while back i had logged into my apple account on someone elses cell phone and their number keeps showing. when i try to just select my number to send and recieve imessages from it will not show up. i can send and recieve regular text but not pictures or imessage. i have tried logging off and restarting and nothing has worked.help please!!

Dear Sirs,when i use the computer updating my iphone to ios 7.1,suddenly black out.The computer has no power and my iphone does not work and keep display the screen saying the iphone need to connect to itunes. I would check out the refurbished section of the online Apple Store before buying a used one from Craislist. They go quickly so you have to check often. It will be more than sufficent for you to work with.
There are more than a few such books, go to a book store near you and browse them yourself to see which one works for you.
For items 3 and 4 wait until you are ready for a commercial app and then seek help from a lawyer and an accountant. -
