The system doesn't propose classes or materials.
In the inspection stock posting tab, the user would regrade the material to a different material.
A material can only have one class. So you can't have a process in which the system picks a class for batch of material.
What some places do is manufacturer a generic material, and then have special designations for grades. i.e. if the generic material 51007 the various thicknesses would be 51007-TH55, 51007-57, 51007-TH61, etc...

I am learning how to create management packs with VSAE and have a question please.
When defining a Class based on LocalApplication (which I believe already has a hosting relationship with Windows Computer and therefore no need to create a hosting relationship?)
let say I define two properties one called Version and the other Vendor both based on registry values, so I include the discovery of these regsitry values in my discovery (along with the regsitry key exists to check the actual app is installed).
Now if I have a Server with only two of the above three registry items created e.g. the actual Key and Version string value but not vendor string value. Will an instance of the Class be discovered and thereby viewable in the 'discovered inventory' view?
Or do ALL properties have to be present (as defined on the class definition) for an instance of said class to be created?

So if I have three properties definded on my custom class, none of which are key properties and I only discover two of them (as the registry key or what ever is missing for the last property) the class should still be discovered as there are no key properties
for the custom class and therefore no key properties missing from the discovery, is that correct please?
Also I understand I have to Discover any key properties of the classes parent/s

Hi,
I have created select options using WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS.For one of the fields ,f4 values should be based on value of another field in the screen.
How will i achceive this requirement.

Hi,
Using OVS you can achieve this., In OVS Event Handler read the value based on which you want to display F4 for other field and populate the values based on the first field.

Calculate BED & relevant duties based on value @ PO for a particular vendor

Dear experts,
Is it possible to calculate excise duties and other relevant pricing elements at purchase order level based on VALUE and capture the same (part1 - MIGO and part11-J1IEX) for a PARTICULAR VENDOR INVOICE?
The business process is like this. First we r receiving invoice from vendor and based on that we r creating PO and do other transaction activities.
We r using ECC6.we r maintaining tax details through tax codes based on percentage and pricing procedure(TAXINJ) is activated and pricing elements are managed through cond.types(gross is value base and others are managed by %).
I find difficulty to capture excise data (cin) through % in j1iex and manual value adjustment is tedious process for multiple line items.
If it is possible, kindly suggest.

create material master with HAWA material type..
maintain material chapter id combination in J1ID
create tax code with zero excise and some vat/cst in FTXP
maintain condition records for tax code in FV11
Assign tax code to company code in tax on goods movement
create PO in ME21N with the tax code created.
During MIGO change the base amount
Base amount = Base amount(PO) - Excise(bed, ecess, secess)
enter the bed ecess secess in excise item details
In excise header tab click on additional data (pencil icon) there in miscellaneous tab check mrp indicator
post the document.
in MIRO change the base amount to base amount - excise.
During Purchase the RG23 A reg will Update..
During Sales RG1 willl update..

Count MySQL rows based off Value in Dynamic Table

Greetings all. I have 2 MySQL tables; 1 that contains the names of my classes.(Class A, Class, B, etc.) and 1 table that contains the names of students in each Class (for example Class A: John Doe; Class A: Susie Smith.; Class B: Jane Doe). In the 2nd table the Class name is in its own column and the student's name is in a 2nd column.
I currently have a dynamic repeating table that lists the names of all of the classes from the 1st table. What I'm trying to do is add a second column to this repeating dynamic table that lists the number of students in each class. For example; Row 1 of the dynamic table would say "Class A | 5; Class B | 3; Class C | 7, etc.). The dynamic table works perfectly to list the class names. For the life of me I can't figure out how to perform a count for each class to insert in the repeating table. I will be adding more Classes which as why I'm trying to set up the counting query dynamically. So far I have only been able to figure out how to count the total rows in the 2nd table, or count the rows with a specified class name. Any advice or guidance on how to count the number of rows in the 2nd MySQL table based off the class name in the repeating table is much appreciated. Thank you for any and all help. Billing value should not exceed contract(value based contract) value

Hi,
We are using value based contract and in item category we set E in incompletion rule which stops me to create relaease order where its value exceeds the contract value.
But via release order we recognize revenue(service based revenue recognition) and we do billing directly through contract via milestone billing plan,
At present i can bill more then my contract value.Now i want to system should not allow me to bill mre then contract value.
I checked the option in VOV8 and VOV7 but all those are meant for release order not for bliing.

Assign a name based on values

I can't figure out how to display a name of a field based on values. Here is what I have:

{Tax.NAME}
I want to assign the {Tax.Name} to the the corresponding {SEAT_RECORD.TAX_TOTAL#}.
I have 3 IDs in Tax.ID (1,2,3). I want to create a text field with the appropriate tax name. {SEAT_RECORD.TAX_TOTAL1} corresponds with {Tax.ID} 1 and therefore should display {Tax.NAME} where {Tax.ID} = 1.
Same for {Tax.NAME} 2 and 3
On my Report I would like to have something like this in the footer section.
(TaxName1) {SEAT_RECORD.TAX_TOTAL1}
(TaxName2) {SEAT_RECORD.TAX_TOTAL2}
(TaxName3) {SEAT_RECORD.TAX_TOTAL3}
Do I need to create a formula or SQL expression? Any help will be appreciated.

and the output is pretty crazy.
I need to be able to create a variable like
Set @Tax1 as {Tax.Name} where {Tax.ID} = 1
That way I can just put the variable on a footer along with {SEAT_RECORD.TAX_TOTAL1} and get what I need.

I got a required to show LOV based on some value in other column. Let me explain ... suppose in column A has value is A1 then column B should show A11, A12 , A13 and if Column A has value C then cloumn B should show C11, C12 ... etc. The LOV will be static with some pre defined values. So all the LOVs will be defined in forms. We just need to show based on value in column A .
Please suggest.

So far i understand, you can create multiple record group for a single LOV. before display the lov just change or assign the appropriate record group. You may use pre-text-item trigger at column B and set the record group to your LOV.

The 3rd list will not populate because nothing has been selected yet in list 2. The value in list 2 is null, so the loop to populate list (3) has nothing to load. Try the following below. This should seed your 2nd list so the 3rd list will populate.

create dashboard prompt with column selector functionality like following way
write the following query in your dashboard prompt sql results
select region name from subject area name
Union all
select sub_region name from subject area name
like this and put one presentation variable for this dashboard prompt like var1
in your report write formula in your column like this *case when @{var1)='region column' then 'Region Summary' else ' ' end*
and refer this column in narrative view like @1 then narrative act like a title view.

I have tried:
1.VO1(id,amount,remark1) and VO2(id,amount,remark2) are based on different EO,but render in same page,
2.Drag and drop a Createwithparams button for VO1(id,amount,remark),
3.add: Create insertinside Createwithparams->Nameddata(amount),
4.set NDName:amount, NDValue:#{bindings.VO2.children.Amount}, NDtype:oracle.jbo.domain.Number.
On running,when press button Createwithparams, cannot create a new row for VO1, and get error msg:

My principal requirement is as follows:
1.select/check some rows from VO2, and for each selection create a new row with some attributes from VO2 as default values for VO1's corresponding attributes, and during this process the user may be cancel/uncheck or redo some of the selections.
--so it's better to implement it in UI rather than in EO.
2.it's better to implement this function with declarative way as in Frank Nimphius' blog.
--little Jave/JS coding, the better. I only have experience in ORACLE FORMS, little experience in JAVA/JS.

Is there a way to copy the characteristic value (class 123) from material master to the batch master automatically once we create a batch of that material

I dont know if its possible in standard, you can try and create a reference batch, and use the below user exit I found in SAP library :
Set Up Customer Exit for Determining Source Batch
You can use function module exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_011 in SAP enhancement SAPLV1ZN when assigning characteristic values to batches. You use this to specify a reference batch when creating a new batch with the central function module VB_CREATE_BATCH.
Further notes
The reference batch must always be specified completely. This means the reference material, source batch and reference plant details must have been entered if the batch is determined at plant level.
All batch master data is copied. If the batch is classified in this enhancement, the values assigned to the corresponding characteristics are copied.
In the exit, you can use a communication structure with the application data for the respective business transaction (for example, plant or material type). If you require further information, you must obtain it yourself in one of the user exits (such as time, user name, or date, for example).
