  • Text Object Error in Pdf based print forms

    Hello Friends,
I am trying to include a text object in Adobe PDF-based print form.
In the context, I have created a node for the text. I chose the Text Type as “Include Text”. I am able to choose the required Text Object and Text ID from the respective search helps. When trying to activate the form, I am getting an error saying that I did not specify a text name. I tried to rectify this error but could not do so.
Please help me out on how to rectify this error.
Points will be rewarded for useful answers.
    Thanks,
    John.

There is no need of activation for standard text... save will do...
Also note: standard text is client dependent... you need to attach to your transport request manually to move between clients...
Close the thread once your question is answered.

  • Print Form using Output Type

    Hey Guys,
Can any one tell me how can i Print a SMARTFORM using its Output Type. Should i hav eto do anything with Print Program stuff.
           Helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Prashanth

You will have to call the SMART Form from your print program. The print program will be called by the standard SAP code, using the configuration that you will have to do in the NACE transaction.
Choose the specific application in NACE transaction, click on the output types. now, choose the output type, and clock the Mail and processing routintes and you can configure your print program and form here.
In side the program you will call the form.

  • Are the Aperature manuals available in printed form as well as PDFs?

When I bought my copy of Aperture 1.5, it came with a single manual, the Aperture Getting Started manual. Looking at Apple's support site, I found that they have seven other manuals in PDF format, including the User Manual (427 pages), a Performing Image Adjustments manual (122 pages), and a Photography Fundamentals manual (47 pages). All together, it adds up to over 650 pages of 9" x 7" manuals to print. Does anyone know if I can order these manuals from Apple or their publisher / distributor / bookseller? Thanks

The best book you can get now it the Apple Pro Training Series: Aperture 1.5, from Ben Long and Orlando Luna. This is the book used in the Pro Training Courses. Explains all the features of the program with real workflow examples.

  • BADI  to call print form

    Hello Friends,
I am working on a adobe pdf based print form in the GTS Customs Management module. When the activity message in the communication tab of the customs declaration document is executed by the end user, the adobe form has to be called. Please let me know if you are aware of a relevant BADI that can trigger the print form.

  • Best Practice for PDF print forms based on SAP standard

    Hi,
I have copied the SAP standard PDF form F_D_INT_SCALE_00 to a Z form, and am using it in conjunction with the standard print program RFDZIS01_PDF.  However I need to output some additional fields that are not supplied by the print program / interface (for example Customer VAT number).
What is the best practice for achieving this?  As far as I can see the only way is to take a copy of the standard print program and modify it to select the extra data, and modify the interface.  I never like taking copies of standard programs though for obvious reasons.
If I had this requirement with a smartform it would be a simple case of embedding ABAP code into the Z smartform and leaving the print program alone, but unfortunately there is no provision for the non-PDF version of the Interest Letter to be sent by email.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vindaloo

    Thanks for your reply Robert.
However I think you are referring to Smartforms when you mention Code Initialization and Global Data declarations.  I need to know the best way to modify copies of standard Adobe Print Forms.

  • Dynamic images in PDF (Adobe interactive form)

    Hi All,
I have stored image in database using BLOB.
    I retrieve the image using
         WDWebResourceType.getWebResourceTypeForFileExtension(extn);//get Type
         IWDResource res = WDResourceFactory.createCachedResource(CSVFile, Filename, type1,true);
            res.getUrl(0);
Where CSVFile is of type InputStream.
But when I give this link to the image field in interactive form, the image is not getting displayed. (But it is getting displayed in the image UI element of web dynpro.)
What should I do to show images in PDF from BLOB?
    Please let me know.

  • Problem printing static images vs camera tool snapshots

    Hi.
This question might be a matter of formatting instead of a developer question but since it is related to some VBA code I am using I thought it would be appropriate to post here.  If it isn't, can someone let me know which forum would be more appropriate?
Here's the situation.  I have a workbook that has many tables on separate worksheets.  Then I have couple "summary" type of worksheets which contain camera tool snapshots of tables from different worksheets for easier viewing/printing.
Because of the heavy lag in recalculation time created by using camera tool snapshots, I have turned the snapshots into static images by removing the source range from their formula.  Instead, after making whatever changes I need in the data, I use a
VBA macro to loop through each snapshot and briefly restore the source range formula so that it updates to reflect the latest table changes then clear the source range formula again, returning the snapshot to a static image.  This seems to work fine when
I view the worksheets and makes the recalculation of the tables much faster when changing the data.
However, I have encountered a new problem.  If I print the summary worksheets with the static images, each table is printed as smaller than when they are snapshots.  In other words, when the source range formula is set to the appropriate range
and I print the sheet, everything looks fine.  When I clear the source range formula and print the sheet, each table is now horizontally smaller and some information in the last column is being cut off.  The images/snapshots have their size set to
100% of the original and I have tried keeping "Relative to the original" checked and unchecked with no difference.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

It may not be the images.  It may be the print options are set to auto scale the worksheet.  Try manually printing a one test page and try different print scale options.  Use Print Preview which will allow you to scale page sizes.
Often issues like this occur when you are trying to print more than one page at a time.  The scale on one page may be different from a second page.  Sometimes adding page breaks (horizontal and vertical) helps solves these issues.

  • How send a Print Form as attachment PDF?

    Hi everybody,
I have created an Interactive Forms where I can input any new data.
When I click on the button for save the new data, I must also convert my Interactive Form in PDF for send it as attachment to email. When I have groped to convert the interactive form in a PDF file, I lost the data that I have inserted.
So I have created a Print Form through transaction SFP.
I recall the print form in background mode and gets the form of Interactive Data and requiring as import table OTF,  but the OTF table is returned to me is different from that of a smartform and so I can not use the function module u2018CONVERT_OTFu2019.
Carryover in the code, you know give me directions?
With the code I'm used to create the PDF file and attach it to email, but the files that I receive by email can not I open it, probably because of an error in formatting during its creation.
I look forward to your advice,

  • Remote print form automatically to pdf files

    Hi everyone,
The user want to implement a request like follows:
        1. quotation will send to a webservice for approval.
        2. when the quotation is approved, webservice will call a RFC to update the status of this quotation in SAP.
        The problem start here.
        3. inside the RFC call, SAP need to print the Quotation FORM automatically to a PDF file which will be named using Document No. date and time. Then a record need to be sent to another CRM with the PDF as an attachment.
Is there any way to solve this requirements?
The biggest question for me is how to tigger the form print and print it into pdf.
    Thanks for prompt response
    Regards
    Sean

    Hi Sean
    It is possible like this:
Maintain two output types for the same program of form output.
    1. Maintain output type as EDI i.e. Idoc from SAP to Webservice. Say Output type ZWEB.
    2. Once approved by webservice, call RFC to update SAP. This RFC will responsible to trigger second output type, say ZPDF.
ZPDF will trigger in sales order with transmission medium as 5- external send having name using "Document No. date and time" (this can be achieve by ABAP program for smartform). This e-mail will sent to e-mail id provided with PDF attachment.
Please discuss with ABAP consultant having good command in Smartforms.

  • AIX-based printing and PDF file generation

    Greetings,
looking to find a best practices approach to scheduled printing of pdf BOXI reports hosted by in an AIX environment to a Windows AD secured network printer.
    Looking at three possible approaches:
    1. AIX-based printing: lpr queue with some ghostscript translation to postscript
    2. Windows-based printing via SAMBA: AIX based printing using samba services
    3. Windows-based printing via  FTP: transfer the file out from the AIX server and script the printing using Control-M
Leaning towards #3 presently.  Expert guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
I faced a similar situation at a client site and after actually trying out Option 1, then considering the cost of Option 2 (resources, skill sets and long-term maintenance), we decided to go for Option 3.
With Option 1, we used the lpr queue commands to send the reports to particular printers (print queues) on the that were registered on the AIX box. We faced two major problems with this approach.
    (1) We had what we called the 'default' printer problem, where, may be based on the volume of pages we were printing or the performance issues on the server itself, print jobs would go the default print queue on the AIX server. As you can imagine, that was not good. Jobs that were intended for one department were ending up in another, and the default location had to start parsing through the print outs and create piles. Operational nightware.
    (2) Cover sheets... We had 1 report (basically a form) that needed to be printed with data for different departments (six depts). So a developer wrote a little java app that called BusinessObjects and passed in the report parameters - and ID, and the printer name. The problem that we faced was that the print jobs would come out the other end, each with its own cover sheet. Even though we passed in the AIX command to suppress the  cover sheet, they came out. I don't remember whether specifying the switch in the CMC worked or not - but we didn't have that luxury - we had to do programmatically because the printing was so dynamic.
So we opted for a rather simple situation, which was made possible also because the customer's license allowed it. We installed the report job servers (no CMS) on a windows servers, assigned them to the CMS pool on the AIX server, installed the printers we needed on the Win server. Then we created a Server group that included just the Windows servers (report processing servers), and locked the report in question to only be processed by servers in that group. So the report would only be processed by the Windows servers with the necessary printers.
The solution has been in operation for over 12 months and working great. We can manage all the servers from the CMC and with auditing turned on, we have great visibly on the performance of the system. Because this printing system is so critical, the process is being enhanced by throwing the stats on an Xcelsius dashboard for real-time monitoring by the operations folks.
Hope this helps. I'll be glad to share more if you're interested.

  • Forwarding PDF Print-Forms

    Hello everybody,
I'm trying to understand the printing process regarding simple PDF Print-forms.
I'm using the transaction PC00_M01_HRF, which generates me Renumeration Statements in PDF. If I press PRINT, the documents are stored in a spool job. Can you help me providing answers or documentation links that could help me on the following issues:
    1) Where are this forms saved?
    2) If this forms should be sent to an other printing center, what solutions are here seen?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hello,
as for the source, I guess you can reach the template for the form in SFP using PAYSLIP as name, e.g. PYXXFO_SAP_PAYSLIP_DE_P. As for the output, I guess you can debug out this:
when calling the function module for the data passing to the form context (usually "CALL FUNCTION fm_name where fm_name is a variable with the right name according to the name you can get in SFP using F8) you can get data fp_form_out TYPE fpformoutput out of it. And inside this structure there are nodes PDF, PDL, XML, which you can use for "transfer" somewhere else to print it there.
I guess nobody will provide you the copmplete code how to do this. At least because I don´t understand why do you need such a thing. Maybe there is another solution, not that technical etc.
    Good luck on this, Otto
