Baseline Config to Upload into the system

Hi If we have to upload a Standard baseline config to a system what is the appraoch we use do we do it manually or use some BC sets if BC sets I know the names but how to use it I dont know Kindly help.

We can not upload the configuration.Only we can copy the configuration from one client to another client.

Uploading Meter data into the system

Can some one please describe the process of uploading the meter data into CC&B.
What is the content of the flat file that i upload.can i upload a meter read XML file directly into the staging tables.....kindly explain the steps..I have not been able to upload any daat into the system using staging control and staging upload page.
Also i found out that there are batch process MUP1 and MUP2 which need be rum in order to upload the meter data into the system from the meter read staging table.Is this correct.
With regards to the meter upload staging table, i referred to the MR staging table : CI_MR_STAGE_UP
there is some data available with the installation as demo data.
For column MR_UP_STATUS_FLAG, there are values such as E, P, C...I unsersatnd there meaning.
1) For Pending P status, i submitted the batch processes MUP1 and then MUP2, expecting that teh status might change to Complete, c.......at the same time i ran MRUP-PRG ........well i was going to write nothing happened , but i saw that after some time all teh rows with ataus P and C are not present any more..........
2)How do i rectify the data with E status.........

Also is it advisable to insert data into upload staging table through SQL drectly.

Uploading old CRM activities into the system

Good afternoon
In our company we want to upload old CRM activities into the system (CRM 4.0)
By doing so we also want to change the "created by" field with the initials of the user that used to make the activity.
This is a problem since some of the users are no longer with us in the company. Therefore they do not have a working SAP account, but we still want to add their name in the field.
Is this possible and what do we have to do?

If you do not want to program, you can also upload the activities with the external list management (ELM) or the LSMW workbench. However, in your case I would create the old employees still as BP's in the system and assign them to the activities in the partner function 'Employee Responsible'.
The 'Created By' field is filled automatically and will be filled with the user loading the activities. Of course you can later overwrite them directly with ABAP in the DB, but this is not such a good idea as this data would e.g. not be replicated to mobile sales (if you use it).
So better do the following:
1. make sure all employees are as standard business partners and employees in the system (they might have a deletion flag, if they no longer exist in the company)
2. upload the activities with a partner function pointing to the former employees
3. If you want, you can then still update the created by field on the DB directly by getting the employee out of the partner function.

Clearing of GR/IR Account for initial stock entry into the system

We MM team did some initial stock entry into the system using MVT TYPE 561 in migo transaction. But in the FI, When GR/IR clearing account was checked, these entry's caused by the initial stock entry are not cleared. when tried to clear It gives a message saying this cannot be manually cleared.Do any of you know what should be done in this case?

I have one more Questiion, in my company there is some amount that is not balancing. We feel that is due to the initial stock entry of the Materials is there a way to view what was the value stock on a particular date by particular movement type, we have transaction in MM but that does not give the currency, in the currency column it says $0.00.

Should be easy. Try this...
In Thumbnails view, click the little triangle (pointing downward) in the lower-right corner of the asset you want to share.
In the blue icon bar that appears, click the Share icon (the third icon from the left, just right of the trash icon). The Share dialog should pop up.
In the Share dialog, enter the email address of the person with whom you want to share the asset, then click the Send Email button - they'll receive an email with a link to your asset. OR
You can also copy a link to the asset and then paste that into your own email client if you prefer. To do that, click the Link icon (looks like a "chain", and is to the right of the email "envelope" icon) - then click the Copy Link button.
Note that the Share options won't be available if your asset is set to "Private" - you can control whether an asset can be viewed (or downloaded) by others by clicking the Public/Private control (green or red "lock" icon).
You can also access the same Share controls if you click on the file to see it one-up (you can do this from either Thumbnails view or List view); click the Share icon near the upper right corner of the browser window (to the right of the asset name).

Is there a way to create a .dmg file for a DVD inserted into the system

I am wondering if Snow Leopard has integrated any tools that can create a .dmg file for the CD or DVD inserted into the system?
If not, any recommendations for freeware 3rd party tools? Thanks

Insert the disc you want to create the .dmg from, then choose the disc in the left hand pane of Disk Utility. From the File menu, choose New > Disk Image from (name of disc).
EDIT: This is basically how it's done; however, there may be other steps involved, depending on the type of disc you're trying to copy and what your goals are with the .dmg. If you provide more details about what you're trying to achieve, maybe we can help you further.

Is it possible to reinstall Symbol dfont into the system folder?

Since updating to Snow Leopard, there is no Symbol dfont in the system folder. I have been relying on this font for sometime now to avoid special character issues.
I use InDesign and this font has become essential for my work. The Symbol font now supplied with the OSX ver.6 (Symbol.ttf) is noticeably different.
Is there a way of reloading Symbol dfont into the system folder without it becoming a nightmare? Or, can I replace the current Symbol font?

This is one of those infamous Apple "invisible" fonts that are not removable.
Other than those in the ProtectedFonts folder (not invisible, just difficult to find), their are no "invisible" fonts on the hard drive.
The only Symbol font installed by Snow Leopard is the Symbol.ttf font in the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder.
You can try removing it, and it will seem to go away, but somehow it keeps showing up.
What did you do after removing it? How did you remove it?
If you simply dragged it to the trash, that won't work. Only a copy of the font will go in the trash, or desktop, or wherever you drag it. To delete any font from the System folder, you must choose Delete and enter your admin password.
After that, it's still not gone. Even in the trash, any font from the System folder remains active (you can't even empty the trash) until you at least restart the Mac.
You may still have issues after installing Symbol.dfont from Leopard if the OS, or applications use the cached data for the .ttf version instead of creating fresh data for the replacement font.
Close all running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal app and enter the following command. You can also copy/paste it from here into the Terminal window:
sudo atsutil databases -remove
This removes all font cache files. Both for the system and all user font cache files. After running the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.
Once the Snow Leopard version of Symbol is truly off the drive, you should have no trouble using the .dfont version from Leopard.

I can not login into the system.

You can't get in unless you know the password so Now you have to restore the iPad in order to unlock it. You should restore the iPad to the same computer that you sync with so that you can restore your app data and iPad settings. You will probably need to use recovery mode in order to restore the device as well.

Applet fails to load after loging into the system

I'm developing a web application for playing multi-player games. The game is played in an applet. I've written the applet and all worked well when embeding it in an ordinary jsp page. The problem starts when I try to start the applet as after logging into the system - it doesn't load and in java console I get:

The connection is ok but I figured out that it's not about the logging in.
The applet stops loading when I add jsf to an ordinary jsp page. (in jsp it works fine)

It is very important that you post the product name or product number of your notebook and the version of the installed BIOS here in your thread.
How to identify your notebook.
Remove the battery and look in the compartment where the battery was installed. You should see a printed part number and a product name. Please post one or both of them (with all alphanumeric characters here).
It also helps if you post the country of purchase

I would recommend that you try rebooting while holding down the Command - R keys to get into the Recovery Partition. There, run Disk Repair and then run Repair Permissions twice. A sizeable number of people have found that these steps solved the same problems that you are having. If that doesn't completely resolve it the the next step is to reset the PRAM, by rebooting while holding down the Command-Option-P-R keys. This may also be the problem solver you need.
