At present basic customs and import cess are flowing in the MIGO document,. The requirement is not to display the basic customs and import cess to flow.
Please let us know the config related to it

In import business process we have 8 component.
Basic Price
Custom duty -
> none- CENVATABLE
Ed cess on custom duty -
> none - CENVATABLE
High Ed on Custom duty -
> none - CENVATABLE
CVD -
> CENVATABLE
Ed cess on CVD -
> CENVATABLE
High Ed on CVD -
> CENVATABLE
Additional Custom duty -
> CENVATABLE/none -CENVATABLE
when ever you will create GR for import PO, entire cost occuring at custom office will be loaded to material cost out of which CVD, Ed cess on CVD, High Ed on CVD CENVATABLE and Additional Custom duty exception for which some company take credit for Additional Custom duty and some company they dont take credit for Additional Custom duty.
at GR level system will generate document.
Stock account
GR/IR acct.
friegt acct.
this the way any standard system is configured.
you have to decide whether marial is CENVATABLE or not, if it is CENVATABLE then CVD posting will take plane if it is not then only custom duty posting will only take place.

1) spro-> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Extended Withholding Tax -> Calculation ->India -> Surcharges -> Maintain Surcharge Calculation Methods - check box should blank
2) spro-> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Extended Withholding Tax -> Calculation ->India -> Surcharges ->Maintain Surcharge Tax Codes (Separate Tax Codes) - This place should be blank
3) spro-> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Extended Withholding Tax -> Calculation ->India -> Surcharges -> Maintain Surcharge Rates (Surcharges Combined with Basic WH Tax Codes) - At this place maintain surcharge rate e.g. 10% against each company code and tax type/tax code on which surchage applicable.
This will resolve ur problem. In case any problem pl write back.

Import duties flowing in MIGO but not in J1IEX

Hi Gurus,
I am seeing the Cenvatable duties CVD and ADC, are not flowing in J1IEX, whereas if I do the process of capture and post in MIGO the duties are flowing and updated in registers.
Any thing missing that the same duties are not flowing in J1IEX. ( after updating the RG23A part1 in j1I5)

Basic customs and Scess on BCD being added in material cost

Hi Friends,
I have prepared a import order and a stk trpt po. I want to take receipt first in (A) plant and subsequently with stk po I will receive in B plant as I want to pay the duties only at the time of actual receive in my mfg plant. My stk po is having duties as CVDs and BCD cond types. When I do vl10d and vl02n for the outbound delivery , FI document craeted following entries for Eg. ->
Bus. Area_ Acc. Description   Amount_
2910(A)      HR Imported        100.00
2110(B)      HR Imported        200.00
2110          cvd cLEARING      50.00
2110          CUSTOM CESS    40.00
2110         CUSTOM SCESS   10.00
Here HR imported for B.Area 2110 should be posted as 1004010=150 on the material cost instead of 200.00. As CVD amount will get availed.
So I donot want this cost (CVD) to be added in material cost.
Kindly suggest its configuration.

- I suspect the problems result from using new SDK 1.4.2 version versus SDK 1.2.1 (that the book uses)

c:\javastuff\Stock1> cd ..
c:\javastuff> javac Stock1/StockTablePanel.java Stock1/PortfoloiTotalsPanels.java
to run them, run them from this root directory:
c:\javastuff> java Stock1.StockTablePanel
assuming that that class has a main() method.

Export/Import Process Flow

Hi,
I was trying to export and import Process Flow from one repository using metadata export and import to another repository but it can't bind process activity parameter. My OWB client version is 9.0.4.8.21 and OWB repository version is 9.0.4.0.27. Any suggestion on how to move process flow from one repository to another is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you are exactly right. The process flow is working fine and I managed to export it to a mdl file. When I want to import it to another repository, it give me error messages. Below is some of the error messages.

Basic Custom duty,CVD and Cess on CVD flows into Excise Invoice instate of BED, ECess on BED and SecECes on BED

Hello Gurus,
One of client having two plants one is DTA Plant and Another one is EHTP Plant(100 % EOU) having 100% EOU licence.Any customer buying from EHTP plant , client is charging Basic custome duty , CVD and CVD Cess .(i.e customer is buying from 100% EOU plant means nothing but importing from different country).
They want all the amounts should hit the BED (Basic Excise Duty) G/L Account and those amounts should flow to excise invoice also.
So can you please help me out how to map this scenario?

i made a pricing procedure where i maintained all the condition types for all the above excise duties.
As i mentioned that all the above duties like Basic custom duty, CVD, Edu cess on CVD , Scnd Higher Edu Cess on CVD will hit to Basis Excise duty (BED) GL account,so to achieve this i maintained same (EXD) account Key what i used for BED.
But i problem is that i am not getting all the duties in the excise invoice document, how to get all the duties in the Excise invoice.
Kindly let me know what to do, to achieve all the duties in the excise invoice document.

Sec. Edu Cess not Flowing in MIGO - Urgent Pls help

We have created a IMPORT PO,
Invoice verification is done with all necessary cess and duties which flown.
with the MIRO document and year, when we do MIGO, i am able to see duty, cess but secondary edu.cess is not flowing.
I tried to enter it manually also, but it is not accepting (field is open).
I have checked the settings.
The similar kind of PO, before it had been done, MIRO done, MIGO also done with proper flow of all values. But for this particular PO only problem existing.
Only difference between the two PO is problematic PO is with account assignment category Q.
Pls treat this urgent and help me in solving the same friends.

For Imports, condition type for SECess is <b>J1CV,</b> you have to maintain this condition type in Excise Defaults of CIN Customization.
Note - You cannot use any other condition type for SECess for Imports other than J1CV.

How to handle BP who is both Customer and Vendor during history import?

Hi Forum,
This is for importing Financial transactions for Open Sales Orders, Open Sales Invoices, Open Purchase Orders and Open Purchase Invoices and also for importing history for all Closed Sales Orders, Invoices, Purchase Orders and Invoices.
Our prospect has in their current system Business Partners who are both Customers and Suppliers (Vendors). In SAP Business ONE, BP is unique. It is recommended I believe in situation where BP is both Customer and Vendor, we need to create two BP Ids.
Question?
How do we import open and history of invoices in this situation where the same BP is both Customer and Vendor? Any tips would help please.

Hi Syed,
As Gordon and Rahul said, it is painful for you if you import closed transactions.
Try to compromise your client that to use the old system for last year/old reports.
Its always good practice to import the Opening balance and even the open documents only.
If you have partially open items, then import the document for open quantities only.
Let's say, if you have a sale order with an item of 100 Qty. Among that 100 qty, lets 20 qty has been already delivered then you have to create the sale order in SAP for remaining 80 qty only.

Your requirement is for Non deductable or deductable duties ??
If its deductible , then u shld not maintain in NVV in conditions .
IF its non dedcutible then u have to maintain in NVV , then it won't show any break up duty calcualtion in MIRO.
Ther in MIRO it will show u total amount it taken into account of materials i.e , inventory account .

Export and Import of mappings/process flows etc

Hi,
We have a single repository with multiple projects for DEV/UAT and PROD of the same logical project. This is a nightmare for controlling releases to PROD and in fact we have a corrupt repository as a result I suspect. I plan to split the repository into 3 separate databases so that we have a design repos for DEV/UAT and PROD. Controlling code migrations between these I plan to use the metadata export and subsequent import into UAT and then PROD once tested. I have used this successfully before on a project but am worried about inherent bugs with metadata export/imports (been bitten before with Oracle Portal). So can anyone advise what pitfalls there may be with this approach, and in particular if anyone has experienced loss of metadata between export and import. We have a complex warehouse with hundreds of mappings, process flows, sqlldr flatfile loads etc. I have experienced process flow imports that seem to lose their links to the mappings they encapsulate.

Custom step type Export and Import

I have created custom step types similar IVI for all my HAL drivers.
I need help in sharing it with my team in different locations.
I am looking at exporting and importing of the custome step types similar to templates.
Could anyone help me with this.

Anna,
when creating the step type definition, you have picked a location for it. By default, it is "MyTypes.ini".
You can create your own custom ini-file containing your specific step types in the type editor.
When distributing your step types, you have to pass the ini-file containing the type definition(s) AND all sources connected to that types (substep modules).
On the target machine, you have to include that ini-file in the system for type definitions in the type editor.

Lightroom not loading custom settings and imported presets when launched

So I read an article about deleting windows temp files and I did so with the intention of bring my computer back up to speed.
The recycle bin has since been emptied.
When I launch Lightroom in Windows XP my previously imported presets as well as a couple other custom settings (ID plate) don't show up. I have to re-import them everytime I launch Lightroom unless I'm opening a previous cataloge.
Any ideas?

Here's my entire process -
1 - load my SD card in to my computer and import RAW files in to a file on my computer and on to an external hard drive.
2 - remove the connection of my external hard drive
3 - Open LR 5 - Import the files I just loaded to my computer
4 - go to develop in LR 5 make my edits
5 - when done or done for the day on my edits - I back up my LR 5 library and close LR 5
6 - To start editing again - I open my LR 5 with the same library I closed the day before and here is where the hiccup comes in.
Files are always in the same location & file names that I named them when I did the initial import to my computer and external hard drive. I have Windows 8 OS.
No, there were not "!" on any of the images.

I have custom setting for the mpg2 whitin old mac computer for compressor.
How can I export the setting out from my old machine compressor and import it back into my new machine's compressor?

I would like to communicate with system clipboard by importing and exporting the Objects.
Assume that i have a RectangleBean object containing x,y,width and height properties and respective setters and getters.
i am drawing the rectangle object by using the RectangleBean object values.

That's not going to work: if you are talking past the bean object into the clipboard and have something like MS-Word use it as a way of recreating your graphic using your bean... no, that's just not going to happen.
If you are saying you want to create another of your graphics on another Java window in the same JVM session, then just pass a reference of the window's graphic context to a setter and have at it.
If you're talking about some JEE functionality, then you're going to have to use RMI or some other standard method to get your object over to the other box or it's effects.
In other words communicating the RectangleBean objects between the two windows.Not by cutting and pasting to the clipboard.
