Basic dates and production dates in planned order

Dear all,
I have a planned order (for material A) which has "order finish date" same as "End of production date".
I have another planned order (for material B) where "End of production date" is eariler than "order finish date".
Scheduling margin key is same in both the cases.
Why they are different? Can you please help?
Regds.,
Chaitanya

Dear
Please Check in the MRP 2 And SchedMargin key it defines the floats
SCHEDULING MARGIN KEY
Takes effect only for Lead Time Scheduling
Configure scheduling horizon OPU5
which lead time scheduling and capacity planning should be carried out. scheduling horizon is the period in working days. If a planned order has its basic start date within this period in future, lead time scheduling is carried out using the selected routing.
The production times are calculated from the float times of the scheduling margin key in the material master record and the time from the individual operations.
If the planned order has its basic start date further in the future than this scheduling horizon, the basic dates are calculated from the in-house production times in the material master and are transferred to the production times

  • Alternative bom and routing selection in planned order

    hi
how i can config the system so that while creating planned order
system has to select the alteranative SEQUENCE and alternative routing ?
at opl8 we do this for production orders what about the planned oreders
in scheduling parameters of planned orders we can give only selection ID
    WHAT about alternative SEQUENCE .
IN the same way how the system selects the alternative BOM with date in planned order
    iam not creating production versions
    plz suggest
    sasikanth

    Hi,
If you r using Prod Version then system pick ups the BOM attached in first valid production version.
So, normally put more frequently used BOM in your first Prod Version.
You have more options to use:
    - lot size (defined in BOM header)
    - production version (several option you have: lot size, manually assign a PV to a planned order)
    - you can use explosion date (OPPP, Logistcs > Production > MRP > Master Data > BOM by date)
MRP 4 (in material master) > 'BOM explosion/dependent requirement' tab > you can set selection method according to your wish.

  • Desired date in planned orders

    Hi all!
I used heuristics SAP_PP_002 for creation planned order (AI) from sales order (BM).
APO show message Order &1 with source &2 created late on &3; desired date &4
That I need to do, that desired date planned order (AI) - Requested Delivery date  it was identical with Requested Delivery date sales order (BM)?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    It works with following logic
    1. Net requirement calculation to calculate  uncovered requirement
    2. Procurement quantity calculation (Lot formation)
    3. Source determination (PDS/PPM/TLANE determination)
4.Then Scheduling of order with backward+reverse scheduling strategy. Here system will first set desired date as finish data and according to duration of activities from PPM or PDS tries to find out start date. If start date goes into past  system will reverse the direction to forward and set start date as todays date and calculats finish date according to activity times in PDS/PPM.

  • Restrict Product Allocation if Planned order is not getting created

    Hello All,
We have a scenario that when ever a Sales Order is getting created, Product allocation assignment will be done automatically and planned orders will be created for that requirement in APO.
There are some cases where in because of wrong Variant Configuration, Planned orders wont be created. Our requirement is to delete the Product Allocation automatically or to stop the product allocation assignment if the planned orders are not created.
Do we have any standard setting for doing so or Kindly suggest me some BADI's which can be used for it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Srinivas.D

    Srinivas,
    A rather odd requirement.
Have you tried in SCM APO 'Maintain check instructions' to perform the product check first, then allocation?  I would think that if the product check failed, then allocation would not be consulted, and no allocation therefore assigned.
IMG > APO > GATP > General Settings > Maintain check instructions

  • Order Processing - Capacity and ATP check with planned order

    Dear all,
is it possible to block the creation of a sale order based with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if missing components for planned order are given?
Is also possible to block the creation of a sale order with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if no alllowable capacity for planned order is given in the scheduled dates?

    Luca,
is it possible to block the creation of a sale order based with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if missing components for planned order are given?
Not in Standard SAP ERP.  You can block confirmation in 81 or 82.
Is also possible to block the creation of a sale order with PP strategy 81 (or similar) if no allowable capacity for planned order is given in the scheduled dates?
Not in standard SAP ERP.  It is possible to generate a notification popup during the capacity check.
The functionalities you seek exist in APO using either CTP or MATP

    Appriciate your help.
    Regards,

    Hi Ratna.
To delete orders in SNP use transaction:
    /SAPAPO/RLCDEL
    BAPI to create planned orders:
    BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3
There is also a BAPI to delete planned orders if this is more suitable.
    BAPI_MOSRVAPS_DELEMULTI
    Hope this helps, M

  • Production version of planned order

When the planned orders are generated in PP/DS, I want to change the production version of certain planned orders. However I cannot find out where I can implement the enhancement. Anyone can help me? Thank you very much.

    Hi Rui.
During order creation, you can use either
    BAdI /SAPAPO/PWB_SOS, Method PWB_USEX_SOS (internal table CT_SOURCES_EXTEND)
    or
    BAdI /SAPAPO/RRP_SRC_EXIT, Method RRP_USEX_SOURCE_FILTER (internal table CT_SOURCES)
to sort the available sources of supply or to filter those that are unwanted.

    Hi  DwarakanathS
    Thanks for you reply....
But if in the exit i try with the code you suggest, when i do the assign:
    FIELD-SYMBOLS <my_fs> TYPE SFC_POCO.
    ASSIGN SAPLCOUP(SFC_POCO) TO <my_fs>.
the program give me an error "Field "SAPLCOUP" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified"...
and if i try with this:
    FIELD-SYMBOLS <my_fs> TYPE SFC_POCO.
    ASSIGN 'SAPLCOUP(SFC_POCO)' TO <my_fs>.
the error is "SAPLCOUP(SFC_POCO)'" and "<MY_FS>" are type-incompatible."

  • MF50 - ManualPlanned order with Basic Dates

    Hi,
I am trying to create some manual planned using  transaction MF50. In the initial screen selection option i am selecting basic dates and after that am entering some quantity in the production version column. After that i can able to see the firmed planned in MD04.
My question is in that firmed planned order its not considering the in house production time which is maintained in the material master. It is giving the same date as start date and finish date.
Can any one help me out in this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vijay.

    Dear
Basic dates in planned orders is calculated from requirement date minus GR Processing time = Order finish date.
Order finish date minus inhouse production time  from material master to calculate the order start date and then the order start date minu  the opening period  gives you the planned opening date.
Now based on thsi fact , it will be adjsued based on the Scheduling Parameters set up in OPU5 -Adjust Scheduling Date  should be Adjust Basic Dates , Adjust dependent requirement to operation dates.
Unfirm the Planned order in MD11 or MD04-Select Planned Order -Change Mode -Uncheked firm indicator  and SAVE  and re-run MRP -MD02-NETCH , 2,1,3,3
While running MRP select Scheduling Indicator -2
What is your MRP type ??  Did you maintain any Planning Time Fence ?? in MRP1 views.
    Regards
