Basic download of v4. doesn't go. does v3.6.17 have to be deleated 1st?

using Mac v10.5.8. MacBook laptop. I use a DSL "high" speed internet connection. to get 3.6.17 I spoke to a Firefox or Mozilla? tech support technitian some time ago. from a phone number that I no longer have. I also use Safari. though chat capable I've never been successful with it. I also have photo capability with a built in camera.

There is a free app called iBooks. That app accesses the ibook store.
You purchase the book and it downloads the book to your ipad.
Once it's downloaded, you can read it at any time, off line.
The ipad is backed up to your computer, via iTunes.
For the purchased book, if you don't back it up to itunes, you can re-download it for no additional fee. Apple remembers the original purchases and allows re-downloads.

Why does iTunes say I have two different total numbers of movies?

On the sidebar, it lists 371 Movies. When I'm in Movies with everything listed, the number at the bottom next to total number of hours is 372 Movies. 372 Movies is the correct number of movies. I have all of those movies also loaded into iTunes on my laptop running 10.7. These are all movies which are hosted locally on a hard drive; none of them are iCloud downloads or matches. So why does it think I have 1 less movie on the side bar? Is there a way to find out if one particular film hasn't loaded properly or can't be read for some reason? Thanks

The sidebar lists # of unplayed (not completed) items.
They should have a blue dot (not played) or half blue dot (started but not completed) next to the name.

Because you can't add content, to any iPhone, that way. Done by design.

I had this same problem and started a thread, but for the most part nobody responded and those who did somehow didn't understand what the problem was.

I'm sure the problem is sweat getting into the apple supplied headphone "remote." Basically even the smallest drop can slide down the wire and get into the unit.
Unfortunately I haven't found a solution other than to get a Belkin remote adapter and some sport headphones. This doesn't give you voice over, but you can still control the volume, skip, etc.
I've been doing this for a couple weeks now and it hasn't had a freak out since.

So far, I have downloaded firefox 4.0 TWICE...does that mean I have firefox 8.0? AND WHYDOES IT KEEP ASKING ME TO DOWNLOAD FIREFOX 4?

DETAILS? OK OJ, here's the details. Firefox has crashed a b'zillion times (I'm an artist, Jim, not a mathematician!) so when they said download 4.0, I wasn't sure about it. But I did it.
And, when I turned my attention to what it had given me, I found that it had absconded with ALL of my internet passwords that weren't supporting my specific name. Except that confounded BonemanHA which is what Google used to screw up my account at youtube. (thanx, again, googz! I know you're watching all of this) but, that's besides the point.
Then it crashed again.
Froze and crashed.
I'm starting to think the firefox is nuzzling the arctic poles.
I swear on a stack of bibles...and lightning comes down and kicks my ass.
I calm down, the next day I pretend nothing has happened, go about re-establishing my passwords (is this too long? Will someone come out of he electronic closet in my computer to tell me if it is? I HATE writing a bunch of words only to look up and see it stoped at Dear so'n'so,)
Anyway, now it asks me if I want to download 4.0....
I should mention now that I LOVE to bring laughter to folks. Times are too hard on paople as it is, and a small mission of mine is to bring a smile, however small to people that i can. My smiley face is a lil hat guy with a big smile:

so. I downloaded it again, because like everyone else, I get tired of the nagging whiney attitude.
Only, it didn't download the second time, either.

I know it was a partial because my pretty birds are gone. That was what I chose for the top bar.
And...before you get too much of a laugh going about a guy having the pretty birds up top, consider this...
I'm 6'5", 225 pounds, and although 60, can still cut and chop a cord of wood a day for burning in the Winter.

some of my passwords are still a mystery to me.
(I use different passwords at different places...just a security dealio, eh?)

It still freezes occasionally (once a day) but that beats crashing two and three times a day.
I get done with shipping out error reports, too, because sometimes it's my fault.
Impatiently banging on the keypad doesn't normally get ANYTHING done, but, it worked once...so I do it again.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

Where are you looking to download them from ? You might be able to redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes. If that album shows there but doesn't have the cloud symbol against it for redownloading then that implies that it's still in your iTunes library

sometimes the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
And if it doesn't work still after that, as much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

I can't take pictures or view them at all. Every time I try opening the app it kicks me out of it and sends me to the home screen. I have tried turning off my iPod and back on multiple times. Even double tapping the home screen button and closing my opened apps. And I tried looking for the photo app in the app store but I did not see it. So I am wondering what can I do? And is this due to the new software update? Does anyone else have this problem?

No, I have not tried any backup tools. I havent restored my ipod back to factory settings yet and then sync everything back on it. I am kind of scared too because I dont want to lose anything. I have just been hoping some new apple software update will come out because I know several people have had problems when updating to the newest version available.

I had installed FF 4.0.1 and have been using it for a while. I am running Win XP Pro, SP2. Last night a messge came up informing me that FF 4.1 was now available and that it would be advisable to download and install it. I did this and everything seemed to work fine but when I look at the 'About Firefox' info under 'Help' it still tells me that I am running 4.0.1. Everything still seems to be functioning well but this disturbs me as it does not seem to have been a FF message. You cannot and need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if the article doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
Changing the rescue email address requires supplying two of the answers. They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
