Basic Introscope functions in SolMan vs full blown Introscope functions

Does anyone have - or can lead me to - a table or matrix that shows the Wiley Introscope functionality that is provided in Solution Manager (7.x) vs the full blown functionality of Wiley Introscope that can be purchased from CA?
I want to map what gaps exist between the functionality of the two and be able to determine what additional costs are involved in purchasing full blown Wiley Introscope? To my understanding, SolMan provides a base Introscope functionality.

Difference between developer workplace and full blown portal

Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the developer workplace and a full blown portal?

Last time I checked, there was no functional difference between the two portal environments - the Developer Workplace, however, must run on Windows, whereas with a generic portal install you can install it on either Windows, or one of the various Unix variants. The only reason for this restriction is that the Dev Studio has some Windows DLLs that will not work under Unix (although some people have made the Dev Studio mostly work under Unix, this is an unsupported configuration and is therefore not recommended).
You may also get some extra 'developer-specific' content in the DWP installation that you won't get as part of a generic installation. That's not to say you couldn't get the content after the fact, and install it on the generic portal install.
We don't use the Dev Workplace, since our PC desktops are quite restricted, and constantly scanned (in other words, performance is horrible). We have Unix environments that run multiple portal developer instances (one per developer) - we just point our Dev Studio at those environments and deploy there.

Every time I try to upload a video to youtube (or pictures to blog services like tumblr) using Firefox, I cannot upload them unless I use the "basic uploader" function. Why and what can be done?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Zen Vision:M Will No Longer Allow Me To Sync From Full Blown Outlook. Has Worked Befo

Synchronize organizer data from: no longer shows the option of Outlook. The only option now is Outlook Express (Windows Address Book).
The Outlook option was there in the past and worked very well.
In can find no setting in the software that will allow me to reconfigure my player to again sync from the full blown version of Outlook.
Why can I do to remedy this issue?

How do I get the full blown version of Mavericks download?

Some of my best software has been made obsolete and I need to make a partitioned drive with Yosemite on one partition and Mavericks on the other. I can't find the full blown version anywhere. The downloads I have got require the version before...no good for me...I need the complete version of 10.9 so that I can then update to 10.9.5...from what I understand. Please help. Where can I find this software...I have exhausted my searches with no results. Anyone know a source? PLEASE? Thank YOU!

Assuming you originally got Mavericks through your App Store account, open that and click on the Purchases tab. Mavericks will be listed there. Click the Download button. You will get the full 10.9.5 installer.

It seems the latest build(ADE 1.8 preview 4) *still* lacks the following basic reading functions when used on a Mac running OS X Lion 10.7.4.
1. Inability to navigate and read by paragraph.
2. Inability to navigate and read by line.
3. Inability to navigate and read by word.
4. Inability to navigate and read by character.
5. Inability to annotate.
6. Inability to interact with the text of a document (attempting to interact causes a restart of VO.)
If I am mistaken, would you be so kind as to provide instructions for performing these important basic reading functions? If I am not mistaken, can you please explain why these functions are not available and can you also provide an ETA for when you will make them available?
Also, can you please provide an explanation of the following unlabeled elements that are located on the toolbar at the top of the screen when reading an epub document?
1. Element located to the right of the "Back to Library" button. This element is read by VO as simply "Button."
2. Element located to the right of the "Text Size Menu Button." This element is reported simply as "Blank, Edit Text."
3. The element to the right of the item in number 3 is also simply labeled "Button."

Why do pdf files I attach to an email show up full blown instead of as a little icon?

If i want to sent multiple files attached to an email, I cannot because they appear as full blown up not as a filed attached to the email. I need to attached numerous receipts to one email and it is not possible. Any thoughts?

Actually, these are jpeg's, I misspoke. On my computer I tried using the paper clip and also dragging them. But both way that appear in the message as full blown pictures not as little attachments. When I tried scanning them as pdf's they wouldn't open. I would get an error message.

Sms send receive and other basic phone functions

How do send/receive SMS's on iPhone. Is there a "how-to" manual for the BASIC operation functions for day to day telephone use? Don't need pictures, music or computer ********, jst basic mobile phone use at this stage.

Basic develop functions have disappeared

The basic develop functions such as changing exposure, contrast, etc have disappeared. If I try to scroll up (where they normally are) I just get the Histogram (see screenshot). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

It seems to happen much more on the Mac platform, because there's a bug there which means the whole panel is "right-clickable", not just the panel headers. So clicking on sliders, etc., means it's easier to do the inadvertent right-click and deselect a panel. Hopefully it'll be fixed for the next release.

Encrypt text without full blown public/private keys or certificates?

i would like to encrypt small texts (up to about 1000 characters) to save them in a file and later load them and decrypt the text. what solutions in Java are available without setting up a full blown key store with public and private keys and/or certificates. i think about a small method/class that en- and decrypts arbitrary text.
any suggestions?

CS5 doesn't offer basic audio functionality (playback stops on page turn)

I would like to place a sound file and in the exported pdf have the sound file play (via button or playback toolbar), without stopping on page turn. To me, this is a very basic function to ask for. But guess what? CS5 can't do it. Turn the page and the sound stops. Is a workaround converting the sound to a video file? Possibly, but any converted file (to avi or mp4 containers for example) gets an error message when I tried to place it. My question is, can anyone make this basic function work? If not, my second question is, where would I go to submit this issue to developers. Also, I understand it's possible to address this issue on acrobat, but this is not feasible when we're talking about hundreds of audio files in a document.

Hi publicduck, I'm not sure if you meant you embedded swfs or if you exported from indesign to swf with an html file. But your suggestion helped, because after being unable to find any audio format that didn't stop playing on page turn (without the use of a playback controller), I tried exporting to swf instead of pdf, and for some reason, in swf, opened as an html file in firefox, I was able to click on the button to start the mp3, and turn the page, while the mp3 continued. So thanks!

Basic Search functionality for KM documents folder without TREX

I am using default KM content management repository no external repository i have folders and sub folders and documents ( word, html, pdf, excel).I have enabled search button in tool area.
What are the prerequisites to search documents in Content management /documents folder
1. Do we need TREX is it must and mandatory for searching
Does enterprise portal provide basic/default search functionality without integrating TREX or external/third party search engines.

How can you assume that we know what that function does? From some experience in basic 7.0 on my old C128D i remember that chr returns the ascii value of a character or the character from an ascii value - in Java "char c = (char) i;" or "int i = c;".

Considering Upgrading From PS Elements to full blown CS 4

Hi,
I'm a web site designer who currently uses Photoshop Elements. I don't do print design, and I don't usually create graphics from scratch (I have an asscoaite who does my artwork when I need customstuff). What I do is purchase graphics from StockXpert, then apply effects, filters, etc in PS Elements as needed, then reisze, crop, etc.
I am considering upgrading to the full CS 4 because of the $299 upgrade offer for all Elements owners. I donwloaded the trial version, and there are so many new things, I don't know where to begin.
Based on the info I've given about my work, what other features in CS 4 would I probably use in my daily work? I know that everyone must make their own decisions, but I'm just trying to gage whether the features would warrant the upgrade for me.

Remember, that was only one opinion, but then I do a lot of forum work on the video side of Adobe. Much is with Premiere Elements, which is often bundled with PSE. I have never used that program, but have come to know some aspects, as I post solutions from the PS-side of things. I get responses along the lines of, "PSE doesn't do that, but ____ just offered a workaround that almost works." One day, I really need to buy a copy of PSE, so I can related directly to what those folk encounter - but then there would be that "learning curve."
In your case, you have a definite leg-up on learning PS, since you have most of the foundation. It'll be just a GUI thing with you.
For me, things are similar now, as I am still on CS2. I read a great deal on CS4, both here and in Photoshop User magazine, and realize that the game board has been "tilted" in many regards. Many of the contributors here have to keep reminding me that CS4 changed things.
I might miss CS4, but that is because I have to now upgrade my Production Studio with Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, et al, and I do not find enough reason to move to PrPro CS4 to do so. When CS5 hits, I will have updated my workstation, and my OS to Win7-64. Then, I will have to re-learn PS (my old friend), as more will likely have changed.
From PS 2.5, I always upgraded for nearly every version (missed PS 5.5), until CS3. I always kept my old version installed, in case a client hit me with an "I need it yesterday" request, and I was still learning the differences between, say PS 5 and PS 6. I wanted something that I knew intimately on hand. That is about where you'll be. New names, new locations, and new features, but basically an "old friend." She might be wearing contacts now and have a new hair-do, but you will recognize her.
