Basic problem with composition lightbox. Arggh!

Ok so basically I can't get the slides in the composition lightbox to work independently. I have a portfolio page with lots of thumbnail images. You click on these to open up the lightbox with a full size image of the thumb. When I add text or images to the first slide it appears on every page! I could of used the normal lightbox but I didn't want the thumbnail to be a small scale version of the full size image in the lightbox slide. I've created a set of interesting jpgs for the thumbs then imported the full size image on each page of the composition lightbox. When I add details and client brief to first slide it duplicates on every page. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

Basic Problem With Compositing

For the opening of my video project, I thought I would start with a matted shot of my subject, in a rounded rectangle.
It's pretty small, and put off to the right, leaving me room on the left side of the screen to insert text.
When the matted shot is in the V1 track and I stack the text on top of it in the V2 track, after rendering the V1 track disappears and all I have is a black screen with the text that I inserted - no matted shot.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Which version of FCE is this? There was a bug in earlier versions of FCP that killed the round rectangle matte.

A Problem with the Lightbox Display since the update.

I use the lightbox display widget within the featured news widget. Since the update when I add the lightbox to an image it appears on all the featured news tabs when it should only be on the tab I place it in. This didn't happen before the update. Any ideas why this would be or how I can correct it. Strangely, the images with a lightbox made before the update are fine.

I'm unable to reproduce the problem. Can you try re-inserting the Featured News Composition widget on a page and after removing the Text frame (optional step) from the Target of the first tab, insert the Composition: Lightbox Display into the Target of the first tab. Then try switching between the tabs in Design mode and see if the problem persists at your end, also try a preview in browser. The Lightbox Display should appear only for the first tab and other Targets should remain untouched.

CUA problem with composite role

Hello experts, I have a problem with a composite role in my CUA parent system. If you look at the roles tab you will see one of the child roles has a name of child CUA system in the 'target sys' column. the rest all have 'user system'. Can anyone explain how this 'target sys' column is defined?

I do not know if you have solved this issue, but the target system is defined within your single role on you menu tab.
No what happens is that in transaction SM30 table SSM_RFC you define system variable linked to your logical system.
This variable determines that when you import roles from another system by means of transaction PFCG > Read from other system from RFC and you select your variable the system will automatically default in the target system field the system it is suppose to go back to.
So this way when you distibute the roles it will only go back to that particular target system, and you do not need to specify and guess where the role came from.
Try removing that table entry in SM30 SSM_RFC and see if that way you will be able to remove the target system from the role.
However it is not a bad thing to have activated. If you are working with position base authorizations and you have more than 1 system, you define 1 composite role for all the roles, for all the systems and you will be able to see where the composite resides by means of the target value.

Why do we run into stupid basic problems with firefox?

I have jre1.6_u31 installed on a Windows 7 and the brilliant
firefox keep tell me that I've to install the jre_1.6_u29 missing plugin when I try to run an applet...a simple applet!! The plugin doesn't appear on add-ons manager then i use "check your plugins" and the stupid response is: "For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please upgrade to the latest version."
Running an applet is basic! Why are u making new versions when older ones are better? I' m sick of running into this stupid problems with firefox! Everything works on ie, chrome and safari but not on Firefox!

We have a site that has one thousand ore more visits per day...and we only have troubles with firefox! What do I tell the costumers? I' m not going to give them solutions difficult and confusing as usually your solutions are! They are common people not developers as me...they just want the things to work! I gave up and the solution that I give to them now is to stop using firefox and uninstall it. And people ask I chrome is becoming the second most used browser...here is your answer...
I' m a developer and I've to develop I don't have the time patiente to trying solving basic firefox problems. If you don't know how to solve the problems then stop developing this and save us the headaches.

Have you updated Java lately? You say you have jre1.6_u31 installed, but "Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U31" is not showing in the Plugins submitted with your question (click "More system details" to the right of your original question post). To enable, Add-ons > Plugins, and enable the item.
If your OS is 64-bit and you have 32-bit browsers (Firefox) and 64-bit browsers installed, then you need to install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Java.

Problem with Composition Tutorial

I am new to this forum as well as new to the SAP composition application topics
Since I want to learn how to build composite applications with the Netweaver Developer Studio/ Process Composer I started with the tutorial "Getting Started with Composite Designer" included in the Studio.
If I follow the instructions up to modeling of data objects the final step of generating the tables of the emplserv.bl.caf package fails with the error message:

Hi Felixw,
You are probably using JDK 1.6 instead of JDK 1.5.
Please adjust the startup -vm parameter to be the javaw.exe of JDK 1.5 and you are just fine!
For instance:
C:\IDE\eclipse\SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.exe -vm "c:\jdk1.5.0_18\bin\javaw.exe"

Basic problem with connecting to disk via Airport Extreme - No Disks Found

I've a Lacie BigDisk (500GB) which connects fine via USB or firewire directly to my Macs (HFS). When I plug it into the AirPort Extreme, the Airport Utility shows the disk as connected, and I've ticked File Sharing, with "Secure Shared Disks" set to "With base station password".
The AirPort Disk Utility is set to Automatically Discover AirPort disks and to Show AirPort Disks in the menu bar. It sees the Airport Extreme, and the action is set to "Connect with Password".
When I close the AirPort Disk Utility I can see the disk icon in the top menu bar, and clicking on this provides a menu with (greyed out) "No Disks Found", and the option to "Open Airport Disk Utility..."
Any ideas - it's driving me mad!

I am having the same problem with a Lacie 320 GB HD as well with my AEBS. I can't get it to stay recognized in Leopard. I have gotten it to work but only for 10 minutes then I have to unplug and start over. I know that it works fine in Tiger but I am having troubles with my drive "disappearing" with Leopard. From what I can tell others have had this problem but I am not finding a solution. Some have said going back to 7.1.1 works however my AEBS is 2 months old and the oldest firmware it has in the airport utility is 7.2. I have also found old versions on the apple website most look for an intel chipset which I do not have I am running a powerbook G4, also my friend on a new MacbookPro couldn't get them to work at all. Air disk is an amazing concept when am I going to be able to use it?

Problem with Muse Lightbox and Chrome

Hi, I've just updated my website to a brand spanking new look, and I've had feedback of a problem with this page:
SHARPE GRAPHIC DESIGN – PORTFOLIO
Works fine on Safari and Firefox, but on Chrome the Hero image appears cropped to the top part of the image, until you scroll, then you can get it all.
Is this just another Chrome scrolling issue? Any help gratefully received.

Simple answer is.. It depends.. What version of IE are you referring to?
IE 6 - Run the hell away if ANY of your clients are still using this dinosaur
IE 7 - Drop this bad habit...
IE 8 - Still will find some issues, but not as bad as prior versions..
IE 9 - Seems to be better, but still NOT as compatible as FF or Chrome

Basic Problems with Attributes and Data Loading

Hi Specialists,
I have a basic understanding Problem. I will explain it with a simple Example. I have to load Employee-Data from a file. For each Employee we have
EmployeeNo
EmployeeName
EmployeeLanguage
My Modelling:
1 InfoObject Employee, with EmployeeNo as Key and EmployeeName as Text. For the EmployeeLanguage I create an additional InfoObject, in order to have an Attribute EmployeeLanguage at the InfoObject Employee. So far so good (I think).
What kind of DataSources have I to create?? It is necessary to load the possible Languages first?? If yes, what kind of DS I have to choose, for loading only "English", "German", "Dutch". Attribute? Text?
If not, the loading process is not possible, because one language exists more than one time in my flat file.

Hi Denise,
I don't think you have to load all possible languages first. This is only necessary if you also want to load texts for EmployeeLanguage (example language german with texts "german", "deutsch", ...).
Specify Employee as data target (in tab Master Data / Texts) and assign your InfoArea. There you will find your targets for texts and attributes, now create InfoSource for your file and assign update rules for both texts and attributes.

Master-Detail query problem with composite key

I have tested a MD form with EMP and DEPT tables and the MD query works okay.
I have created two tables both with two fields EMP_ID and REPORT_DATE as a composite key. The problem I am having with the MD form is that it does not query back the results when I select the QUERY button. I have verified that the join is setup during the creation of the form.

I have recreated the form and the MD query works fine.

I'm writing a manual training about standard JSF. I'm using Reference Implementation (RI) from Oracle and Jdev.
I'm writing this very basic code for a binding method on the action property of a Command button (standard h:commandButton) :

The weird thing is that this code never executes...
If I use an af:commandButton instead of h:commandButton, the same code works.
Why the standard h:commandButton doesn't work ? (same thing with actionListener)
If I replace the Oracle's JSF library by Sun implementation, obviously the standard h:commandButton and its binding action works...
Have you got an explanation ?

Writing a JSF standard training manual is sometimes a bit boring but trying your wonderful Oracle components is so exciting !
I guess that my problem comes that for my playtime I use Oracle parameters and components but I'm not always reading the documentation !
I'm impatient to finish this training manual for having the time to read the full Oracle documentation when I try something !

Some basic problems with multicast, IGMP & NLB

Hi out there
We have two DC's with 10G interconnection in between - these connections are run as L2 links - put into a set of nexus 5000 (the old nx5020) - acting access-switches - and uplinked to a set of nexus 7009 which act as L3 switch for us.
We have a cluster of vmware boxes in each site and are running MS windows 2008 machines with MS NLB for TerminalServices - in IGMP multicast mode - in VLAN 21.
Now I looked in the log of the nexus 7000 and found that the PIM DR is "flapping" between the two sites from time to time:

The link between the two sites - and boxes - is running error-free. As far as I can see there hasn't been any problems in that vlan since ??
If I look at f.ex spanning-tree the topology hast changed for long time in that vlan (2 weeks).
Could I harden the igmp multicast setup?
What is happening when a DR is changing? Will the multicast stop work or what happens?
As far as I understood the DR is the service which forwards the multicast traffic to the groups so if suddenly some re-negotiation occurs I would expect that the active traffic will be interrupted.

1. See to it that all previous instances of SAP trial versions of sw have been removed from your PC/laptop.
2. Remove your laptop from any network and install Ms- loop back adapter or have a it connect to a network with proper IP.
3. Have your DHCP enabled.

Basic problems with Windows 10 TP 9926

I am going to list some problems that I notice in this build:
1: The system seems to think I have a battery, but I am on a custom desktop. This is noticed when I am in the User log on screen and there is a symbol in the bottom left informing me that my nonexistent battery is low.
2: When I put the computer to sleep, it wakes up on its own. I even tried disconnecting peripherals (keyboard, mouse, etc) in order to keep the computer in Sleep Mode, but regardless of what I try, it stays asleep for approximately 10-15 seconds and wakes
up again.
3: Since I cannot put the computer into sleep mode, I have been shutting it off for the night. After powering on the computer again, it does not recognize the drivers for my wireless card (Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 7620). In order to get it to recognize
the drivers, I actually have to restart the computer. So far, it has recognized the wireless driver after every restart, but not after every Power Off/Power On cycle.
4: Frequently, a window titled Oneclickstarter appears to warn me about running my programs in compatibility mode. I have not set up any of my regular programs to run in compatibility mode, so I am unsure as to why this box appears. I would correct the problem
on a program by program basis, but it seems to happen with almost every program I run.
5: This one is possibly more of a point of feedback, but when I type something into the Cortana search bar, it usually only brings up one program and mostly shows items from web searches. I personally would much rather several programs appear and very few
web search items to appear.
I will add to my list if I find anything else. I would like to make a point to say that I love the new layout. I am not so sure I love Cortana yet, but we will see.
Please let me know if there are any fixes to these problems. I'm sure that they will disappear in future updates.
