Basic question - Spray menu bar

Ok, silly question but I m just a newbie.. I want my spray
menu bar to be different on the index page, although if I attempt
any change (of font, background color, etc...) it will also change
the menu bar from all the other pages. Any bright suggestions?
Thanks

Oups, found it.... Just had to make a copy of the css file
under a different name and then change the link in the code.

  • Inserting spray menu bars

Could someone help me with spary menu bar?
I have created a menu bar on a HTTP home page and uploaded it with spray assets.
When I checked on the net, I can see texts which link to another http pages, such as contact http pages.
However, it does not show the styled mune bar I wanted.
Using ul.MenuBarVertical a, I selected green for background colour and black bold text.
    my website is as below;

    Please help!!

    Hi,
looking to your website I miss some files. Did you "include" your spryMenue by DW? If yes you should get this message (here it's my German DW):
what means DW needs the files listed above and want's to copy these files into your local site. You have to confirm and later you have to sent them to your server.
If you look to your source code you can control the links. As I can see here:
      <li><a href="about_dotty.html">Home</a>    </li>
      <li><a href="#">About Dotty</a></li>
This "#" is only a placeholder, and it doesn't lead to a link. I think you would express something like that:
    <li><a href="home.html">Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="about_dotty.html">About Dotty</a></li>

  • Spry Menu Bar Question

    Hello all,
I am using Spry Menu Bars for the first time and have checked
out most of the online documentation. I have gone into the CSS file
to customize much of the look of my first menu.
I would like to do the following, but can't seem to find
    where to do it:
    1. Change the height (not width) of my top menu item -- it
    has created some unwanted padding.
    2. Change the width of my submenu independently of the top
menu item -- to allow for longer text.
    3. Change the submenu text color and size independently of
    the top menu item text.
Here is a link to my sample navigation bar (only the first
item "Latest News" has a menu):
    http://stage.ecdi.com/includes/nav_bar.html
Sorry for the extent of my request, but I have gotten
blurry-eyed looking for posted material that answers my inquiry.
    You guys are the best...
    Matt

The reason you don't see a lot here in this forum is because
Adobe created a Spry forum. The first thing I would recommend doing
is updating Spry if you have not done so before:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/
Then you can head over to the Spry forums here:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/labs_spry_pr1_forum
To answer your question though, everything you want to edit
is in the CSS document in the SpryAssets folder. All of the
    attributes are defined in there.

  • How do I get the Firefox icon to appear on my menu bar instead of a question mark?

I have been using Firefox 3.7 and recently downloaded 4.0
An icon showing Firefox on what lloks like a memort stick icon appeared on my desktop. I am a Mac OSX user. When I dragged the icon to my menu bar, a question mark (?) appeared instead of the Firefox icon. How do I get the firefox icon to appear correctly on the men bar?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • How can I REMOVE the Yahoo! tab from the menu bar? Each time I open Firefox, I get the gialogue box asking if I want to make yahoo the default and each time I respond no and check the do not ask this question again.

I am tempted to remove Ff4 and revert to 3.X if I cannot fix this problem. The question (statement) has all pertinent details already included

    '''Hello peacefultrev,'''
I believe from your question you wish to remove the window title-bar, while keeping the menu bar available.
I have two solutions for you to try. One requires no plugin and the other requires the installation of a plugin.
    '''No plugin option:'''
This option hides the the window title while also removing the menu bar. The menu bar can then be reactivated and viewed simply by pressing "Alt" which shows the menu bar until you click away from it. To do this:
    # Right click on the tab bar and disable "Menu Bar".
    # Whenever you which to use the menu bar, tap "Alt" on your keyboard.
    # When you click away from the menu bar the windows title will disappear until you tap "Alt" again.
    '''Plugin Option:'''
You can download this plugin called [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hide-caption-titlebar-plus-sma/ Hide Caption Titlebar Plus] which can be customized to suit your needs. I cannot provide support on this plugin as I have not used it myself.
I hope one of these solutions will suit your needs.

  • Menu Bar Time Machine icon displays a Question mark - Problem and Fix

My MacBook over the weekend upon awakening from sleep showed that the Menu Bar Time Machine icon displays a Question mark. The external drive showed as mounted in the finder but repeated tries to Back up Now ended in Latest Backup Failed. Hmmm. Never saw that before. Did a restart and ran Disk Utility Verify Disk on the start up disk and it came out OK. So I then ran Disk Utility on the external FW backup drive and as soon as it reported that the FW disk was fine, Time Machine started up on it's own and did a back up and all is back to normal after leaving the TM drive attached the remainder of the weekend. All backups are back to working fine with no repeat of the problem.

If for some reason the computer has trouble communicating with the drive it will report a failure when TM tries to back up, and will display that question mark. It's good you were able to fix it and get TM running again.

  • Question: My spry menu bar is not displaying correctly in Dreamweaver

    Hello,
I am  new to Dreamweaver CS5, so coding isn't my area of expertise. My problem with my spry menu bar is that it does not display the tabs on the menu bar correctly. When I try to apply new changes to the CSS of the horizontal menu bar, half of the tabs will change and the other half will not. Also, I am unable to drag and move the menu bar itself around, a function that I was once able to do before. At times, only one tab of the menu bar will display itself, without any of the other tabs as well.
I have a hunch that my problems stem from some coding errors in the SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css, and possibly in the SpryMenuBar.js. On the CSS Styles panel, my SpryMenuBarHorizontal.CSS list reads as follows:
I also have a hunch that something about this line-up is also incorrect, but I don't exactly know what the problem is.
Here is what my coding for my SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css looks like right now:
    @charset "UTF-8";

And here is what my SpryMenuBar.js coding looks like right now too:
    SpryMenuBar.js
This file handles the JavaScript for Spry Menu Bar.  You should have no need
to edit this file.  Some highlights of the MenuBar object is that timers are
used to keep submenus from showing up until the user has hovered over the parent
menu item for some time, as well as a timer for when they leave a submenu to keep
showing that submenu until the timer fires.

If anyone could possibly steer me on the right direction with this, I'd be very grateful! I've been struggling with this for about a month now and I feel like I may have only made the situation worse.
I'm not sure if I have to keep making a new spry assets folder in my website or not or if I have to drag and drop the spry assets into the root folder. I have restarted my website over at least a dozen times by now. I have tried changing folders, dragging and dropping various spry assets folders everywhere and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled my copy of Dreamweaver CS5 in the hopes of getting my spry horizontal menu bar to act normal. I am completely new at Dreamweaver and I really, really need some help with this.
    Thanks!

I haven't been able to get my site posted up yet. Here is a link to it anyway:andrearosales.com
I will be working on connecting my files up to my server. At the moment, here are some screen shots of some messages that I am getting when I am saving my file.
I'm not sure what to make of these messages. I tried to put a new spry horizontal menu bar on my main page, and when it appeared, it displayed as a spry vertical menu bar.
Here is a picture of what it looks like:
I"m going to refer to the links that were suggested to me though. I'm not sure if pictures of the code will help to solve my problem. I'm going to try again to connect my files to my server though.

I tried the free for a little while Mobile me, and didn't use it, so cancled. I cannot get the sync status roundabout arrows out of my status bar. AND, they keep trying to sync.
Another issue related with this is that during the time that I tried out Mobile me, I had my ical alarm set to go off every 2 hours. NOW my computer has an ical  pop-up every 2 hours. I cannot find how to stop it.
Another issue, Yahoo is trying to sync with my computer and I have no idea why or where that one came from.
Can anyone out there help me please.

  • Spry Menu Bar Advanced Styling Question

    Hello all,
I am using Spry Menu Bars for the first time and have checked
out most of the online documentation. I have gone into the CSS file
to customize much of the look of my first menu using the
    documentation I could find.
I would like to do the following, but can't seem to find the
CSS code bits to do it:
    1. Change the height (not width) of my top menu trigger item
-- it has created some unwanted padding.
    2. Change the width of my submenu independently of the top
menu item -- eliminate cramping and allow for longer text than the
    top menu trigger.
wish there were an easier way to accomplish complete styling,
considering how popular these menus are.
    You guys are the best...
    Matt

  • Question marks coming in the menu bar in the Z Invoice Report

    Hello Everybody,
When I am executing the Zinvoice transaction code for my Invoice Report in my Development System and selecting the Get variant --> Variant name as VAR --> Clicking on the Execute button after that I am getting the following in the Menu bar :
    ?????????????????????Edit???????????????????????
Also when pressing the F1key for help for the Invoice Report I am not getting any help message screen.
Please provide the solution for above mention problem so that
I can get all the options in Menu bar and after pressing the F1 key Help message Screen should appear  for my Invoice Report.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashish Thakkar.

    Hi Gareth,
I had found the solution to the problem which I am facing in ZInvoice report .The Solution is :
1]Keep your cursor on the Menu bar where ???????Edit???????? is coming .
2]Keep your cursor on print preview option an press F1 key and a new popup screen appears named technical information. In that screen double click on the function name and a new screen appears named "DISPLAY STATUS STANDARD_FULLSCREEN,Interface SAPLKKBL.In this screeen single click on "Check Syntax button" and than single click on "Activate" button available in Application Toolbar.
3] Than again move to my previous screen and now it shows the Proper menu bar as :
List Edit Goto Views Settings System Help instead of getting ??????Edit??????? in the menu bar.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashish Thakkar.

  • Question on spry vertical menu bar backgrounds

I have a spry vertical menu bar.  The menu branches off to 3 or 4 levels in some cases.  When you mouse over the menu structure the menu path that you have selected turns a different color.  I acheived this by giving
    ul.MenuBarVertical a.MenuBarItemHover, ul.MenuBarVertical a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover, ul.MenuBarVertical a.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
a different text color and also a different background color using CSS.  The thing I want to acheive now is to somehow make listings within my menu structure that are clickable links a slightly different color.  This is to signal that a menu selection that is currently being hovered over is indeed clickable (and linked to another page).  For example, most of my clickable menu listings are at the end of a menu branches.  That is to say the menu listing at the 1st and 2nd level are not clickable (linked to another page) but the listing that falls at the end of the menu branch is clickable.
How can I make the menu listings that link to other pages a different color then the other menu listings that do not link anywhere but are instead just the preceding struture to get you to the end of the menu structure?
Currently menu listings which merely branches off and do not link to a clickable page have a reference of "#" as shown below.
    <li><a href="#">Menu_1</a>
This "#" was put there by Dreamweaver so I just followed the pattern.  Clickable menu listings reference another HTML page as you would expect.

    Nancy,
Thanks for the reply (it helped me know how to approach it).  It looks like editing
    ul.MenuBarVertical a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover
will give me the behavior I was looking for.  I don't know if that is what I want to do now that I look at it though.  Using different colored backgrounds when hovering over links seems to contrast too much (even though some are clickable and others are not).  Perhaps I didn't have the right color choice.
Instead I thought about emphasizing links that are clickable (with some type of visual variation) as opposed to making the hovering background color path to those clickable links different.  I experimented with placing a 1 inch border around links in the menu that can be clicked but I am not sure if I like it or not.
I am using a background color of #7D120C for the hover.  Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

    Thanks,
    JTB
