Basic RO Image won't load!

Greetings all!
While most of the spry features I've used seem to be working,
for some reason, a basic rollover image will not appear when viewed
on our site. It displays when previewed locally, and we've
regenerated the image file and rollover code many times - to no
avail. Is anyone else having such a weird quirky problem, and does
anyone know how to fix this? Other RO images etc. work just fine.
Strange...the online URL is
http://www.asdv.org/index2.cfm
Also, we're having the same viewing problems with a basic
flash animation file for the same page. It's not that it doesn't
work, it just doesn't display when viewed online. Again, locally,
all is fine. We've replaced the file with a static image until we
resolve this.
ANY ideas would be helpful!!!
Many thanks!!!

What isnt working, what element / button
As your menu roll over work just fine here..

I just upgraded to CS6, but my Canon Mark 5D III CR2 images won't load, and everytime I try to download the 6.7 plug-in, it tells me it is "not for me."  Help!

• Images won't load or they load with errors.

I bought a new pc a couple of weeks ago, since then images won't load properly or simply won't load. Most of the time it happens with images hosted on imgur.com but happened a couple of times with other hosts too.
It seems to be a Firefox problem, because images are well displayed on Chrome & IE. Also it's odd because sometimes I cannot see an image, but if I try a few hours later I can view them perfectly.
A few examples, the originals and how I see them:

Resetting Firefox seemed to be the only solution, worked fine.

• Html email - image won't load

You guys are wonderful - when I've worked and worked on a problem and get to the "pulling out my hair" stage, I remember how helpful the forum has been to me . . .
I have put Outlook 2007 on my computer now so I can easily test the quirks of email rendering in that email client.
I'm attempting to test using slices for the nav bar (hopefully a work around for "wonderful" Outlook 2007) but can't get past an image that won't load. I recently combined three images and some text into one image because Outlook was floating the images and spacing them wrong.  The image that I'm referring to which now won't load is http://www.theshimogaproject.com/email/images/shimoga_pics_text.jpg
The original design displays correctly in browsers:  http://www.theshimogaproject.com/email/riverrun-guests-email.html
Here's the code for the html email as it stands now:

• LR4 Map sets tracklog times to UTC, so images won't load

Opening my tracklog in LR4 Map (on a PC) plots it with a -5 hr offset, evidently UTC time (I'm on Central Daylight), so the images I shot on the outing won't load to the map. The points on the map in LR show the UTC time, whereas the same track opened in Google Maps shows the correct, local times. On October 3, b_gossweiler looked at ImageDesign704's tracklog and responded "I've removed the timezone inidications on the trackpoints and loaded the tracklog successfully into LR." Can someone explain how to get into a .gpx file and remove those timezone indicationst? My tracklog won't open in Windows.

rljeanne wrote:
The 07:22 to 09:16 recorded by the device is the correct local CDT time. Why should that be wrong?
Because GPX timestamps are supposed to be in UTC, not local time. (see here)
Neither the GPS device nor its software has any way to reset the time to UTC.
You might want to get in touch with the manufacturer of the device, and ask them how to record UTC timestamps in a GPX file.
Meanwhile, Google Maps plots the track just fine, with the correct local time, so it seems to me that the problem lies in what Lightroom does with the file, i.e. it assumes times to be in UTC and makes the adjustment by subtracting 5 hr from the input data.
I'm not aware of a way to map a track file on Google Maps. But when I pull your track into Google Earth (I don't know how to map a track in Google Maps), Google Earth shows 07:00-09:16 as UTC, and adjusts accordingly to my local time zone if desired so.
Is there any way to reset that in LR?
You can use the tracklog time offset function in LR to adjust for the wrongly recorded timestamps.

• Mac App Store images won't load.

Hi,
I recently purchased a refurbished Mac Mini (2.3 ghz model). Any time I try to access the Mac App Store there are several icons that won't load. They'll simply display the small blue box with the question mark inside of it. If I refresh the page multiple times, occasionally it will load all of the icons. If I click on the app that doesn't have the icon displayed, all of the images load properly, but from the main pages (featured, top charts, etc) they don't load. The icons that don't load are usually the same; I haven't had the Mac long enough for all of the apps on the featured page to change. I'm new to Mac and don't know if there is something that I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm enjoying the experience so far, but it is highly annoying that this happens constantly. If it helps, this has happened since I got it. Could this be an issue with the unit itself?

Unfortunately that didn't help. These are images that are within the Mac App Store itself not images viewed through Safari (I also use Firefox). I did have an issue with Safari a couple of times where images weren't loading on it either, but it is occasional in comparison to the app store which is constant.

• App images won't load when offline

What is wrong when app's images don't load when I'm offline? Is there a way to remedy this?

So I'm having this problem with my Ipod 5th gen. I tried absolutely everything but the router suggestions. Mainly because this problem isn't just at home, it's everywhere. I can connect to every free wifi or pass-worded wifi (with the correct password) just fine. But I can't access the internet or apps using the internet at all. Full signal like everyone else. Just no results. Took every tip in this forum and nothing has worked. Even tried deleting the apps that weren't working and re-installing just to make sure it wasn't just a crappy connections with the internet. NOTHING! Someone please help? I'm starting to think it might just be the antenna or the fact that it's about 2 years old and kind of abused. It's been working up until I recovered it after 2 1/2 months of being last in the mix of pants that were packed away. Didn't get washed or anything just had the battery die while it was sitting there. Found it yesterday and starting today I can't access Safari, Youtube, the App Store, or anything else that requires an internet connection. What should I do? Should I take it in to the Apple Store and get it checked out? Or is there something I can do by myself?

• Constant crashes, windows won't come forward, images won't load

With every version of Firefox, the program malfunctions more. First, I get "(Not Responding)" constantly. Sometimes I end the process and restart FF, but at other times it crashes on its own and I get the Crash Reporter. Starting a few updates back, many images in many web pages stopped loading. Most recently, windows won't come forward. Just now I restarted Firefox and there are 13 windows open altogether. However, 11 of them won't come forward when I click on their tabs in the task bar. The best version of Firefox was version 2. Since then, it has been all downhill.

Unfortunately nothing useful in your crash reports.

• Image won't load from XML

I am making a gallery using xml and as3. I've run into a
problem very early and I'm not too good with Actionscript yet. So
I've come here for some help.
What I want right now, is to have an image be loaded from a
xml file, which is working for me. And then have a white movieclip
come in a resize behind the image to be a frame for the image. I
haven't gotten to this part yet. My problem starts when I try to
load the image with a blank movieclip to position it. The image
loads, but the eventListener won't run the imageLoaded function. If
I remove the function and just have
holder_mc.addchild(imageLoader); Then it works, but I need the
image to load and then resize the movieclip frame, and then display
both right? How can I accomplish this?

I was trying to solve this myself just last night and after
seeing your post today I figured maybe I can help you out (as long
as I'm addressing the problem you have).
apparently the addEventListener needs a kick start from
something else. If you look up the Loader class in the Flash help
files it provides an example near the bottom that holds the key.
I'm providing a shorthanded solution that I derived from it.
Rather than:
imageLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,
completeHandler);
There is another piece in the in the middle of the process:
"contentLoaderInfo"
imageLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,
completeHandler);
Hope that helps

• Some images won't load in Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store

Since my upgrade to Mavericks, some images on Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store wont load some times. I can't figure out the source of problem, but I've tested all four apps and the same problem exists across all of them; I've also tested Chrome, Firefox and Opera to see if they are suffering from the same problem, and surprisingly enough I've found that they are not; They load images perfectly well, and I've never encountered one to not load images. I'm totally confused and frustrated, what is preventing Apple products to load images? Here are some screenshots:

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items.  Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.

If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.
*Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden Menu bar.
Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "<i>Block Images from...</i>" has a check-mark then remove this check-mark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the <b>permissions.default.image</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.

• My images won't load on my website. Help!?

So basically I uploaded a website and all the files it needs to run properly to my control panel. It finds index.html and the images that have a url as the source but not the images with local paths as the source. I checked using 'firebug' and I saw there were no paths to these images on the site. So I went into the text edit on control panel to look and the paths were there. I'm confused. I tried moving the images around in the files directory on the control panel and altering the path in the text edit but this has not worked. I'm running out of ideas so it would be great if someone could give me a hand.
Have a look at the website:
http://www.btccs.co.uk
Here is some of the code from the text editor:
<div class="slider" id="slider1">
           <div class="leftarrow" id="prev">
                <img src="https://cdn4.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ionicons/512/icon-ios7-arrow-left-128.png">
           </div>
           <div class="slider_image" id="slider">
                <img src="Morris Construction/Images/Clarissa-01.png" width="100%" height="100%"/>
                <img src="Morris Construction/Images/rhino.png" width="100%" height="100%"/>
                <img src="Morris Construction/Images/Vinie-Graffiti-France.png" width="100%" height="100%"/></a></div>
           <div class="rightarrow" id="next">
                <img src="https://cdn4.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ionicons/512/icon-ios7-arrow-right-128.png">
           </div>
</div><!-- end of slider -->

So Ken I have a new problem now, I've changed all the code to lowercase and it now works on the website but when I preview locally the images don't show. Its like the initial problem has swapped round to not working on the website to not working on dreamweaver. I think its still looking for the folder "Morris Construction" rather than the new folder "morris_construction" even though I've changed the folder and file names and copied them into the code.
This is the code in dreamweaver:
<div class="slider" id="slider1">
      <div class="leftarrow" id="prev">
      <img src="https://cdn4.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ionicons/512/icon-ios7-arrow-left-128.png"></div>
      <div class="slider_image" id="slider"><img src="morris_construction/images/clarissa1.png" width="100%" height="100%"/>
                                                                  <img src="morris_construction/images/rhino.png" width="100%" height="100%"/>
                                                                  <img src="morris_construction/images/vinie_graffiti.png" width="100%" height="100%"/></a></div>
      <div class="rightarrow" id="next">
      <img src="https://cdn4.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ionicons/512/icon-ios7-arrow-right-128.png"></div>
</div><!-- end of slider -->
This is the code when i preview in firefox. I found this using 'firebug':
<div id="slider1" class="slider">
<div id="prev" class="leftarrow">
<img src="https://cdn4.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ionicons/512/icon-ios7-arrow-left-128.png">
</div>
<div id="slider" class="slider_image">
<img width="100%" height="100%" src="Morris Construction/Images/Clarissa-01.png">
<img width="100%" height="100%" src="Morris Construction/Images/rhino.png">
<img width="100%" height="100%" src="Morris Construction/Images/Vinie-Graffiti-France.png">
</div>
<div id="next" class="rightarrow">
<img src="https://cdn4.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ionicons/512/icon-ios7-arrow-right-128.png">
</div>
</div>
Why is the preview browser/live view looking for the old path when I have changed the code in dreamweaver?

I am running Firefox 22.0. I received a message from Mozilla that Firefox was running slow and should be reset. After the reset, some images will load but not all images will load. Gmail, Amazon, and the Mozilla pages are missing images. I have tried updating plugins, re-loading Java, ActiveX and 4.0 full .net Framework. Nothing has corrected my problem.

when i select videos to watch, they have symbol in the top left hand corner but blank everywhere else. if i right click on the symbol i get an error message "problem loading page/server not found" but i'm already logged in to the website. this just started happening today after having watched 100's of videos for years on the same sites. i haven't changed any settings that i know of, but i have tried several different troubleshooting tips but nothing helps. i have windows xp. and i use firefox exclusively. what can i do?

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
*In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
*In previous Firefox versions, click on the Firefox button at the top left of the Firefox window and click on Help (or click on Help in the Menu bar, if you don't have a Firefox button) then click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
Please report your results.

See the "Workaround" section of this post for an example of downgrading bootsect.exe:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/6e934990-999a-4367-860a-3ce4e5eda956/sccm-2012-r2-error-0x800700c1?forum=configmanagerosd
It is not the version of WinPE that is the problem here, but the version of bootsect.exe that gets injected into the boot media.

This workaround worked in my environment.  Fixed my in-place upgrades from XP to Windows 7, and as a bonus, fixed imaging XP as well. yeah, I have to keep XP for awhile. :-(
