  • SC with Limit line items and Desc requirements _Incorrect Overall Limit

    Hi,
When i create SC ,combining both limit items and non-catalog items (desc requirement), i am getting my PR created.
However, i observed that for Limit lines in PurReq, the expected value & Overall limit amounts are not being transferred correctly.
Overall limit is also showing as equal to expected value. This is happening only when i combine limit and full text lines together in a sc. It seems like a bug. We are on SRM 55 and patch 11.
    Appreciate any inputs.
    Thanks

    Hi Karthik,
Thanks for your reply. I already checked these notes and they are not relevant for my issue.
My issue is like this. SC has got 4 lines and out of them 2 are Limits and 2 of them are describe req's lines.
for one of Limit line, overall limit is 1000$ and expected value is $500.
where as in the Purreq, i am getting both overall limit and expected value as $500 itself. basically overall limit is overwritten with expected value.
I found very old note something simillar to this issue: 304382.. its the otherway happening in my case.
    Thanks

  • Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date

    Folks,
I have a requirement from the business to be able to update the Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date independently from each other.
In other words, update the Basic Finish Date and the Scheduled Finish Date cannot change or update the Scheduled Finish Date and the Basic Finish Date cannot change.
I believe the reason for this is to be able to use the Basic Date to maintain the ATP accurately and keep the Scheduled Date to mark when the order was originally due from the shop floor to be able to measure if orders are being completed on time or late.
I have worked in tnx OPUZ and had some success with other issues with these dates but I can't seem to make them work independently from each other.
Or does anyone have any ideas how to measure proces order performance to the production schedule?
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

Rajesha, thank you for your reply but it doesn't solve my problem.
    Let me restate my scenario:
I start a process order and both the basic and scheduled finish dates are the same, June 1.
At some point, shop floor tells me they will be late and cannot deliver until June 15.
I need to update a date in the system so the ATP and the MRP planning runs have correct information for promising customers, I will update the Basic Finish date with June 15.
I also need to keep the original June 1 date in order to measure the shop floor performance to the production schedule to measure how early or late the  order was delivered. How can I keep the original finish date or how can I measure if a process order is early or late??
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

    Hi,
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

    Steps to configuration(Basis) >>
    1. Create Logical System (LS) for each applicable ALE-enabled client
    2. Link client to Logical System on the respective servers
    3. Create background user, to be used by ALE(with authorizaton for ALE postings)
    4. Create RFC Destinations(SM59)
    5. Ports in Idoc processing(WE21)
    6. Generate partner profiles for sending system
    The functional configuration(Tcode: SALE)
    u2022 Create a Customer Distribution Model (CDM);
    u2022 Add appropriate message types and filters to the CDM;
    u2022 Generate outbound partner profiles;
u2022 Distribute the CDM to the receiving systems; and
u2022 Generate inbound partner profiles on each of the clients.
Steps to customize a new IDoc >>>
    1. Define IDoc Segment (WE31)
    2. Convert Segments into an IDoc type (WE30)
    3. Create a Message Type (WE81)
    4. Create valid Combination of Message & IDoc type(WE82)

    BDM7 - IDoc Audit Analysis
BD21 - Create IDocs from change pointers
    SM58 - Schedule RFC Failures
    Basic config for Distributed data:
    BD64: Maintain a Distributed Model
    BD82: Generate Partner Profile
    BD64: Distribute the distribution Model
    Programs
RBDMIDOC u2013 Creating IDoc Type from Change Pointers
RSEOUT00 u2013 Process all selected IDocs (EDI)
RBDAPP01 - Inbound Processing of IDocs Ready for Transfer
RSARFCEX - Execute Calls Not Yet Executed
RBDMOIND - Status Conversion with Successful tRFC Execution
RBDMANIN - Start error handling for non-posted IDocs
    RBDSTATE - Send Audit Confirmations
FOr testing you can use WE19.
There are two filtering in IDoc.
    Segment Filtering:
Segment filtering can be achieved using T/Code BD56. Here you can suppress a whole segment irrespective of data inside it . You have to give Message Type / Sender Prrtner / Receiver Partner.
    Data Filtering:
Data filtering can be done in dustribution model (BD64) where you can restrict whole IDOCS or partials IDOCS to be send based on data in fields inside IDOC depending on whether the segment in which you filter is at the highest level or at a lower level. For example in MATMAS if you put a filter of E1MARCM for a particular plant , only data for this plant will go and other plants will be ignored.

  • CRM Middleware Documentation and Training

Apologies as this is not a technical/functional question as such but I have been looking for SAP CRM Middleware documentation and/or training courses on the subject.
Particularly in relation to integration with Microsoft Exchange Server
So far I have found documentation on help.sap.com but little else. Nothing on integration with MS Exchange.
Firstly, does anyone know of any other good sources where this type of information can be found?
Secondly regarding training, the only course I have found has been the CRM Basics 5 day course that covers Middleware, but I don't know how in depth or even if it covers integration with Exchange.
Is anyone aware of any good CRM Middleware courses, preferably in the UK?
I would be grateful for any kind of help?
    Many Thanks

    Middleware courses are available:
CRM500(overview) & CR550(enhancements) & some mobile integration courses, but none of them realy cover groupware integration.
    It's a pretty new functionality...

  • Client editable content and slide shows

I have used CushyCMS and Slide.com in the past to allow clients to edit their sites.  I have learned that slide.com is going to drop the service.  Is cushyCMS still the best option for client content editing or is there something new?  What is replacing slide.com?  ( I am currently CS4 although considering an upgrade.)

I have used WordPress for clients who want blog sites but is it the best choice for editing content within the framework of the Dreamweaver Template?
As you have already used Wordpress, you must know that these packages don't require you to have DW or any other web editors to create, edit and maintain blogs and websites.  The packages are self contained in all respect.  All you need is some knowledge of CSS/HTML and common sense.  Common sense is common with most people these days so this is not a problem .
I suggest select some nice themes for WP (or for Joomla or Drupal) and set it up so that your client can manage it for himself.
Incidentally, WP is not only for blogs;  you can create full sized commercial websites as well;  all you need is some free themes for your site.
    Good luck.

  • SRM scenario XI / PI requirements

    Hi all,
i have a question regarding XI requirements in SRM scenarios. What are the requirements for CLASSIC, EXTENDED CLASSIC, STAND ALONE and DECOUPLED scenarios? Are there standard contents for all of them? I understand that in CLASSIC, the connection of ERP and SRM-EBP is via RFC. Can we use XI instead for the integration to be clear?

    Hi
Downlaod SAP SRM SERVER and SRM SERVER IC tpz and import them in IR.
one of these would have the mappings and the other would contain service intrefaces. If you want to make any changes, copy this to a custom and make releavnt changes.

  • Iphone subscribed calendar - basic authentication, events and timezone

    hi,
i'm attempting to use the subscribed calendar feature in iOS and having problems.
1st issue: i've put an ics file that regularly gets updated on an at a web location that is basic authentication protected. Inside the subscribed Calendar settings there is a place to put username and password. When i click "Done" and iOS tries to verify the information, i get a popup saying "account requires a username and password"... I know basic authentication works and the username and password are correct because i've tested via browser and very simple passwords e.g. 123.
2nd issue: I do work with people in other timezones and so i frequently get meeting requests from people in other timezones. In the ICS file i can see this information is published appropriately. e.g.
    DTSTART;TZID="Romance Standard Time":20110510T170000
    DTEND;TZID="Romance Standard Time":20110510T183000
If I import this ics file into google calendar, the timezones are read appropriately and the meetings are scheduled accordingly. in the example above, the meeting shows up as being at 8am - 9:30am.
on iOS the timezone is completely ignored. so i get the meeting showing up as 5pm - 6:30pm.
I've tried fiddling with the "Time Zone support" option in settings, but this does nothing.
Help on the issues above is greatly appreceiated. Personally I'm extremely frustrated with this.
    Thanks

...Thought I would keep alive the question about incorrect times for appointments created in other time zones on subscribed calendars. I believe this other thread -- https://discussions.apple.com/message/17318550#17318550 -- is asking about the same issue.
I am experiencing the same issue, including the setting for Time Zone Support having no impact, with iOS 6.
Any whiff of a solution yet?

  • IPhone: Where to find good Documentation and Samples for Auto-Rotate?

So I'm starting to get into the auto rotation features for my iPhone apps. I've spent a couple hours looking for some apple documentation and searching online, but I'm not finding any "definitive" guide to discuss the process. Any recommendations would be great!
Specifically, I'm trying to learn about the following:
    - I have already implemented auto-rotation, but how do I setup my view so when rotated, it adjust the UI to take advantage of landscape mode. (i.e. I want to add extra features, and re-position some things)
    - I also would like to the option within a couple views, that when rotated, goes to an entirely new view.
    Thanks in advance!

I generally find that vector drawing programs are better for drawing toolbar icons and the like, as vector drawings are easier to tweak and adjust later. I've had great success with VectorDesigner in my own apps; it has a shallow learning curve and a solid basic feature set, although it can be quirky at times. (It also doesn't play all that well with certain development tools: don't try to add VectorDesigner files to Xcode projects, and make sure you zip them before you add them to a Subversion or CVS repository. VectorDesigner files are packages--like application bundles--and those tools don't play well with packages.)
If you want to go a little higher end, Illustrator is the Photoshop of vector drawing, but like Photoshop you'll probably find it very difficult to start out with.
You'll also need a raster graphics editor to tweak exported images. I use Pixelmator for this, but Photoshop will work just as well.

  • ODP API documentation and sample code

I am looking to write a custom program as a part of my client requirement to find the delta changes from an extractor. I heard that latest SAP NetWeaver EhP contains it. I beleive this ODP API is some Java interface and would be useful for me to use in my custom program.
How can I make use of this ODP API? Is there any documentation and code samples available.

I was able to find some API called Data Federator Facade with in the ABAP Code. Is this what it is?
