You are not doing anything wrong. The January 2014 update of Photoshop CC added the option to embed OR link Smart Objects. Until this Photoshop CC update, Smart Objects were always embedded in the Photoshop document. Although it made the file size larger, it was like a built-in backup plan because any placed files were included in the document. Now you have the option of embedding or linking the Smart Object. Linking references the file rather than actually copying it to your current file. In terms of your small tutorial, choose Embed.

If Lion isn't showing in the About this Mac window, then you need to install it. All the Mac Apple Store does is put the installer into /Applications. You need to run it, but before you do, make a copy and put it somewhere else, since the stupid installer deletes itself during the installation process, forcing another obnoxious and lengthy download if you ever need to reinstall it.

Apparantly it is, On My Mac contacts don't appear in iCloud, anywhere.
Put all your contacts on all of your devices in iCloud (assuming that's where you want them to be)
Go to www.icloud.com, login and see what you actually have in the account.

You must initiallly activate iCloud from an IOS device or a Mac. You cannot inititally activated from a PC.

Is iPhoto open when you connect the camera and are you seeing the camera in iPhoto?
If not then describe in detail how you're going about trying to import photos from your Samsung camer into your iPhoto Library. From what you've described we have no idea what's going on.
And where is this "import" folder located that you're referring to?

Create a test file with Text Edit (or any other program) and save it to your desktop.
Run Time Machine from the menu bar.
When the Time Machine icon in the menu bar stops spinning, drag your test file to the trash.

You are going to have to provide more information than this. Are you trying to MMS or email? Why do you say you cannot send it, are you getting an error of some type, and if so what is it?

HTML emails require you to save the images on a server then link to those images with absolute links in the email.
The recipient's email client also needs to be set up to view images (many aren't).

Does it show on your account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store ? If not then you are sure that the purchase went through, it's not just a temporary store holding charge on your credit card : iTunes Store & Mac App Store: About payment card authorization holds.
If it does show then try the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your computer's iTunes and see if that downloads it, or go to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage and see if it shows there for downloading.

Keywords, Lightroom and Bridge. What am I doing wrong?

Whenever I save a keyword to an xmp sidecar file or to a dng file in Lightroom 5.2, and then search for that keyword in Bridge CC, the file associated with that keyword will not show up. However, if I navigate to that destination folder of that file, the keywords will be listed., and from that point on, when I search for that keyword again, the file will show up. In Lightroom I am saving the metadata to the file. What am I doing wrong?

Not much. If you want to search for a keyword in Bridge you best use the Find command itself. Be sure to set the correct fields and also check both the options for include subfolders and non indexed files. The latter is pretty important.
As you already discovered after viewing the file in Bridge the keyword was found, thanks to the fact Bridge had cached and indexed the file during your first selection. Files that never have been cached are also not indexed (Bridge reads the content of the metadata and saves it to its database) Only after having the data in its own database it is able to search for the files.

Page Processes and Branches.. what am I doing wrong?

Need a bit of help with page processes (or suggestions for a better way to do something).
I have an Apex page which does the following when you click a button -
1. Imports a CSV file into an Oracle table by calling a SQL Loader process
2. Calculates the expected date range for the CSV file
3. Checks the min & max dates of the CSV data (now in the table) to ensure they match those calculated in (2)
4. If the dates in the CSV data are correct, a PL/SQL procedure is called which analyses the CSV data (now in the table) and inserts some entries into another table.
I'm a bit stuck at this point because I need some kind of branch before step 4 -
If the CSV dates are correct, then the analysis process (4) should be run.
If the CSV dates are wrong, the analysis process (4) should NOT run, and an error should be displayed informing the user to check the CSV file. This would be done in a step (5).
I've created steps 1, 2, and 3 and put them in 'On Submit and Before Computation'.
Step 3 sets a hidden field to true or false depending on the outcome of the check.
Steps 4 and 5 are conditional (4 runs if the hidden field is true, 5 runs if the hidden field is false) They are created in 'After Submit'. Problem I've got is... steps 4 or 5 never run.
I'm not sure what's going on... is the hidden field never getting set? Do I have the processes at the wrong process point in the page?
Or can anyone suggest a cleaner and simpler way of accomplishing this?

I already thought of changing the hidden field to a text field - and it is getting data OK. But I'm not sure at what point the field is being set.
I assumed that the field would be set at process (3), so that processes (4) and (5) are able to check the value in the field.
But the truth is I'm not exactly sure how Apex works - are items set when a process runs and are they able to be accessed by subsequent processes?

When I right click on an image in an email message, select "save image as..." , then try and open it, its not a pic, but letters, numbers and punctuation marks. what am i doing wrong?

I save it to a folder and try to open it up like i did before. I never had this problem with Internet Explorer. Please help.

If you right-click the image and choose View Image Info, what shows as "Type"?
If it shows JPEG image, for example, make sure to save the file with a .jpg file extension. If you place quotation marks around the entire file name, e.g.,
"myfile.jpg"
then you can ensure that the name as the correct extension. Does that help?
