i will be completing one year in working in SAP SD module, but still i know there are so many basic things which i am not aware. i need your help. please suggest what are the basic and important topics in SAP SD that a beginner must aware. i tried to search in Google but could not able to get the proper answer to my query. request you to help me in this.

Hi,
I would suggest to focus also on the various processes along with the customisation areas suggested earlier by the sdn team members.
Focus on the scenarios such as domestic sales, export sales, STO ,Third party sales, Consignment sales, Intercompany sales etc.,
Each one has a typical set of customisations, Hence if you follow this method, you can become a very good consultant. Also I would suggest you to create documents for your own use on a later date or for ready reference . I can tell you these documents will help you a lot in you career,

Need info on basics of SAP Business One

Hi Gurus !
I need info on basic stuffs for SAP business one 2007 . I tried searching in forums and help but was not able to gather good info...
Request u to pls guide me on :
1. What is SAP bsuiness one 2007 and how it is diff from ecc 6 etc ..?
2. How it is benefical for small and mid size businesses ?
3, How much is the Cost / licence ? ( if it can be discussed here ! )
4. How many users it can cater to ? I mean what is min and max suggeted ...

Visual Basic RFC SAP no-unicode. Latin2 Caracteres are converted in '#'

Hi,
I are inserting data in Z SAP tables from a Visual Basic Script.
I are doing a RFC call.
The problem is that the data type text aren´t iserting correct when its are Latin2 caracteres.
Example:
Text in Visual Basic: "Prevozni strou0161ki-železniu0161ki"
But when theRFC function inserts the data in SAP, SAP shows "Prevozni stro#ki-#elezni#ki".
Could somebody help me??

Thanks for your answer.
But i din´t solve the problem.
I changed the encoding to UTF-16 and ISO-8859-5 but the caracteres are inserting bad yet :(.
I'm debugging the visual basic code and I can see that the text is correct in Visual Basic, but after it is incorrect in SAP.
Too, I'm inserting the value directly in visual basic sourcecode:
T_BAPI_P.Value(index, "TXZ01") = "Prevozni strou0161ki-železniu0161ki NOVO"
But the result is the same.
SAP shows "Prevozni stro#ki-#elezni#ki NOVO".
I have seen that in the transaction SM59 you can specify if the RFC conexion will be UNICODE.
The SAP system that i am working isn´t unicode, then it can not the tag to especificate this in SM59.
Could it be the problem that the SAP system isn´t unicode??

Basics OF SAP NW

Hi All,
I have a few elementary doubts in SAP NW could you please help me solve it?
1) Where is SAP NW installed? Is it installed on WEB AS which inturn is on Application layer of R/3?
2) Where is WEB AS installed?
3) WHere are all the modules SD, MM, FI/CO installed?
4) When we buy Netweaver do we get all the components like MI, XI, EP MDM etc along with it?
5) If yes to the above, then do we have to install them or they come ready to use?
6) Could you tell me why we have common login for SD, MM, Fi/co etc modules but different logins for EP, XI, MI etc?

Hi Ashish,
if you go thru the SAP NW architecture, it will clear all your doubts.
1)SAP WEBAS is replaced with NW, from WAS6.40, we call it as NW. ECC is powered by Nw.
2)SAP NW has in-build WEB AS service, so we don;t install Web AS, when we install NW.
3)we will add all this components (modules) as add-ons on NW. we will download the necessary components and apply thru SPAM or SAINT. after installation, we will activate this components as per our requirments.
4)yes, generally all this additional components will come along with NW DVDs.
5)yes, we have a common login ids for all modules, but based on the type of roles and profiles we will restrict the users to their corresponding Modules.
i hope this info, will help you. i advice you to go thru Master guide of Netweaver which is available at Service Market Place.

as far as i know, you can also have external libraries in 10g. But, do you want to interact from a forms-dialog or from the database itself? If from the database itself, you should be aware that you can only use a dll, if the database-server runs on windows. Also, you should ask your question then in the database-general-forum.

No User SAP* after the creation of a new client

Hello,
I made a system copy from PROD to DEV-System and upgraded the DEV-System to EHP7. Now I want to create a new customizing client but when I create the client in transaction SCC4 there is no user sap* on this client. I never thought this is possible.
I checked my profile and everythings seems to be fine. (login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0)
The client is in the table T000. I searched for any users in this client on SQL but there is no User:

Hi Bernhard,
Parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 enables the SAP*(basically from SAP Kernel/hard-coded) for initial logon to the newly created client. Please do the client copy from 000/001 for super user (SAP* and DDIC) availability.

What is the Role of SAP PI in SAP SRM?

I'm from SAP-XI background.
In my project I need to create a scenario from SRM ---> PI/XI ---> MDM.
I'm having the below queries regarding this scenario.
1) Do I need to download the "XI CONTENT for SRM SERVER and import it into PI server.
2) If so what is the exact location in the service market place from which I can download
3) What are the steps that need to be done between SRM and PI and also in SLD so that data will be sent from SRM to PI.
Can anyone answer my queries.

Mentioned below are the list of output medium for SAP SRM.
1. Email.
2. Fax.
3. Print.
4. XML.
Whenever SRM want to send data to another system in XML format and if you are not using SOA then PI is very much required to transfer the XML data to the target system. When you integrate SRM with ECC 6 EHP 4 or higher version then many documents are transmitted in XML format only and XML document is sent out of SRM using ABAP Proxy.
Since the XML data is sent out via ABAP proxy you have to import the integration objects for SAP SRM into SAP NetWeaver PI. you can find the same in the below location.

Steps involved :
1. Deploy the integration objects of SAP SRM into SAP NetWeaver PI.
2. Update the SLD with new business system data.
3. Check Active Process Integration in the transaction SPRO in SRM .
4. Go through the below steps :
     1) One RFC of type H to point to PI with all the details.
     2) Define the role of the business system in the server that you want to see(Sxmb_Adm)
     3)Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory.
     3a)RFC destination LCRSAPRFC of type T for SLD connection.
     3b)RFC destination SAPSLDAPI of type T for SLD connection.
     4)Maintain the SAP J2EE Connection parameters for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SAP J2EE      Engine
     5)Maintain SLD access details in Transaction SLDAPICUST.
     Please refer the section 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 in the document(as linked provided below)
SLDAPICUST should point to the SLD host server. If you have a central SLD installed on the Dev server, then it is ok that it is using the host and port of the Dev server.
PIAPPLUSER is the normal user that is used in trx SLDAPICUST (the user must have the role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER).
'Lastly, will the gateway Server of SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC will be the same for both DEV and QAs systems in XI?'
5. Make the necessary confirmation in Integration directory for the relevant interfaces.
