    Hello,
    We are starting SAP CRM implementation project (7.0) and I would like to avoid giving sap_all authorizations to functional consultants in development environment. Unfortunetly I can't find standard customizer profiles like the ones in ERP system exists.
    So the objective is to have quite broad role or profile with no restrictions in customization and functional area. However it's important not to have Basis authorizations in this role/profile. Hope that someone can give me a hint in this direction.

    as soon as the implementation team member should also do developments my experience is that without SAP_ALL you will have much trouble. Therefore in our dev-system each consultant will have SAP_ALL authorization. Of course only in the DEV-System.

    Now I am placed from a support project from BW (CRM) implementation project(all are generic extractions).
    & I am also new to implementation project.
    what are the neccessary steps to be taken when we are implementing BW for CRM.
    Gurus please clarify my doubts.
    1. what are the steps in implementation project in detail(as a developer).
    2. what are the sizes of the cubes,ODS & How to decide them.
    3. what are the neccessary steps for Master data & Transaction data.
    4.How to make the functional specifications for Infoobjects,cubes,ODS,Remote cubes,Multiproviders.
    5.can we change to delta loads to full loads if yes what happens to existing data.

    1. what are the steps in implementation project in detail(as a developer).
    U have to basically to the techinal design after understnading the functional designs and implemnet the same( creating infoobjects, datatargets, datasources, queries etc.). Then u have to load data and do the unit testing on the same.
    2. what are the sizes of the cubes,ODS & How to decide them.
    Completely the business reqmnet and the data that the client wants to load.
    3. what are the neccessary steps for Master data & Transaction data.
    U have to understand ur master data and transaction data on the basis of whch u have create ur infoobjects and load data in them and finally in the datatarget.
    4. can we change to delta loads to full loads if yes what happens to existing data.
    Sure u can do that by choosing Full update in the infopkg. It will just load the complete data instead of changed records.

    SGEN: Load generator
    1) Select the option as Generate all objects of Selected Software components
    2) Select all the components and start the job directly.
    It will take around 4 hours
    Client copy:
    1)     Login into 000
    2)     Logical system creation using sale
    3)     Create client 100
    4)     Give the logical system entry
    5)     Now save
    6)     login into 100 using SAP* and PASS as the password
    7)     Goto SCCL
    8)     Selected Profile: SAP_ALL
    9)     Source client: 000
    10)     Start immediately
    11)     Can be done in background processing mode or parallel processing mode.
    12)     Execute the function "rs_mandt_unique_set"

    We're upgrading CRM Webclient UI from CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0. As per Upgrade Master Guide, there is listing of Migration activities. We're working on Migration Activities for IC Profiles in CRM 5.0 to Business Role in CRM 7.0.
    Please advise us how to do mapping to set up Business Profiles on the basis of IC Profiles in CRM 5.0

  • Mapping Z account group in ERP to Z BP role in CRM

    Hi all,
    We have a scenario where we need to download customers created in custom account groups into CRM and map them to Business Partners in Custom BP Role. With PIDE settings, you can only map a Account Group to a CRM classification. This classification is mapped to a standard BP Role in CRM. We also tried to implement the note 914437. But the code given in this note doesn't work as desired. If anyone has implemented this scenario and/or used this SAP note, please advise me on the solution approach.

    I have the same required as yours.
    I implemented the note 914437.
    I noticed two peculiar cases from the standard mapping i.e. (standard BP Role sold to party)
    1) In BP transaction, in Display in BP Role drop down list box there is no custom BP Role as shown above but if I select the detail Icon I can find it there as shown in below screen shot.
    2) I found in Tx BP there is only one BP Role as shown above but in CRM Web UI there are two BP Roles in the ROLEs assignment block.
    Could you please add your comments or solution for it.

    I am kind of new to SAP CRM... I am in the process of finding as much information as possible regarding SAP CRM. I have a general question (show below) regarding CRM Implementation... I am hoping to get an answer from you....
    Q: If any Company chooses to implement SAP CRM in 2 or more phases.... then which functionalities (Ex: in Marketing, Sales and CIC) the company would implement in the 1st phase and what are the other functionalities he would like to implement in the next phases?

    Hi Sreen,
    In the case of Sales / ICWC you could start with basic order entry. This would be phase 1.
    In phase 2 you could add extended fact sheet, sales contracts, case management, and scripting functionalities. If you decide to include Marketing, then this phase could for example include free goods.
    Phase 3 would consist of extended marketing functionality: full segmentation of BPs according to multiple marketing attributes; marketing calendar/plan and campaigns.
    Phase 1 alternative: Leave ICWC for phase 2 and only implement basic sales functionality in phase 1. In that case you would do order entry via CRMD_ORDER and not via ICWC. Phase 2 would then included (basic) ICWC functionality.
    Of course the demands and requirements of your customer would be leading in deciding the phasing of your project.

    I believe every SAP CRM Implementation project would follow the ASAP methodology which is as follows:
    Phase1: Project Preparation
    The system landscape is set up, consultants are assigned. Project charter is created etc.
    Phase2: Business Blueprint
    The implementation consultants do a study of the clients business and learn how the processes/ cycles involved thru discussions, workshops etc
    This is documented as an AS-IS document.
    The clients business processes are then mapped on to SAP by the consultants.
    This is documented as the TO-BE document
    Gap Analysis is performed to identify any gaps between the AS-IS and TO-BE documents. i.e. something that the client wants but cannot be met thru SAP CRM. Then enhancements etc come into picture.
    Phase3: Realization
    The system is configured as per the TO-BE document. And the client is given for testing.
    Phase4: Preparation for Go-LIve
    Once the client confirms all the unit and integration tests, the master data needs to be uploaded. Other system checks by basis and SAP itself are performed.
    Phase5: Go live and support
    The project goes live and the consultants give a month's of hypercare or support.

    A) He said he will locate the program table associated with it and let the programmer know about it,

    to create an index on this. or if a programmer/ABAPEr creates a ticket for basis basis team will take care.
    i know for sure depending on the role  ABAER or Basis also create an index.

    Did you mean "business roles" ?
    The concept of business roles is more used and important in WebUI. SAP CRM business roles are used to package the main business content needed to perform a specific job function. Defining a role influences the complete content visible to a user assigned to this role.
    Some examples of standard roles are:
    SALESPRO (Sales Professional)
    SERVICEPRO (Service Professional)
    IC_AGENT & IC_MANAGER (Standard Interaction Center Agent & Manager)

  • Assign biz role through CRM -SU01 and display page at portal

    HI, SDN Fellows.
    I am creating some custom portal roles at portal and mapped it to the custom business roles for some PCUI screens at crmc_blueprint_c --> "Assign Portal Role to Single Role" ("Assignment of CRM Role to Portal Role").
    Currently, our portal UME data source is mapped to CRM system.
    Right now, I have to assign both the CRM Role through SU01(to have access the CRM Object Method at CRM-PCUI application) and Portal Role through User Admin of WAS/portal (to access/display the PCUI iView in the portal).
    My goal is to just assign role through CRM-SU01 and achieve the same output as I described above. Meaning can I just do the role assignment for the CRM role (through SU01) and able to access to the CRM-PCUI application through portal (able to see the pcui screen)?

    What I want is when I assign a role (Sales Manager) said user A in CRM system, userA should able to see the related workset/page/iviews in the portal (without the need to assign the same: Sales Manager role in portal).
    Now, what I have to do is assign the related objects into a single/composite roles in CRM (for backend data access), then I have to assign a portal role (through User Admin of Portal, so that they can see the portal content),
    is that a way we can do it in one step?

       I imported the business package for CRM in enterprise portal.rightnow i am dealing with security aspects. I have some conceptual doubts related to role concepts with this Business package.
    I have a role for sales manager in business package, com.sap.pct.crm.SalesManager,which have some iviews and external services. from the documentation, i came to know that this role corresponds to "SAP_PCC_SALES_MANAGER" in BW system and  "SAP_PCC_SALES_MANAGER" in CRM system.
    I just want to know, which strategy, I should use for Role, user to role assignments in my scenario i.e.  either "EP as leading system" or "ABAP system as leading system"
      I was thinking of having ABAP system as lead. i.e. getting the role menu and user to role assignments from CRM system and BW system and adding this to the delta link of portal role that came with business package, so that i could get the user assignements from both the CRM and BW systems. but later i came to know that this role, SAP_PCC_SALES_MANAGER is portal specific role in BW and CRM, so i was worried of how to get the user assignments of the original sales manager role in crm system and  bw system to the portal.
    right now, i am totally confused and have no ideas. I thought that some one could help me in this regard with thier experience.

    please ensure that user is present with same userid as that in portal with both BW and CRM system and then use com.sap.appintegrator.portal component  for creating transactions of any type ussing template iview as well get user autorization for user for both the roles in BW.

    I would like to have your inputs on creating a developer role for CRM Functional Team in Dev system.
    I found a standard role SAPCRM_DEVELOPER , does it has sufficient Authorisations to carry out the config work in CRM or do we need any more additional Auth.
    The team members also have IC AgentIC ManagerSrv Pro roles as well.

    You don't need a role to development team. You can assign the auth. in dev system and perform the tests in the specifics roles.

  • Replicate ship to without sold-to role in CRM

    Hi,
    We are replicating business partners from ECC to CRM. What is happening is all Ship-to's and Bill-to's are replicating from ECC to CRM in 2 roles : one Ship-to/Bill-to and in addition Sold-to role.
    Is this standard behaviour? Can we change this so that ship-to only comes in ship-to role in CRM and also Bill-to comes in Bill-to role and without additional sold-to role in CRM.
    We are using CRM 2007.
    Any pointers will be helpful.

    The integration of business partners between ECC and CRM is controlled by a table in R/3. In R/3 check the PIDE transaction.
