Basis in computing for breakdown duration

Hi All,
Good afternoon. I would just like to ask as to what is the basis in computing the breakdown duration generated upon completing a breakdown report? Is it standard that it is computed based on 24hrs a day? If it is, is there a way to change it from 24 hrs to 8 hrs per day? Hope you could help me all. Thank you.
Thanks and regards,
Happy

Hello,
The system determines the MTTR and MTBR key figures on the basis of the individual history of a technical object. The MTTR key figure represents the arithmetic average of the downtimes for the object concerned. The MTBR key figure, however, represents the times in which the reference object was fully operational.
To generate these key figures, this system draws on all the malfunction reports with breakdowns that were created since the start-up date of the reference object. For technical objects, for which the start-up date is not specified in the master record, the system uses the end date of the first malfunction report where the breakdown indicator was set as the start date for consideration. In this case, the first malfunction report is not taken into account in further calculations.
In addition, the system only evaluates those malfunction reports for which the start and the end of the breakdown are specified. The evaluation using the start time and the length of the breakdown is not supported.
The system uses the amount of breakdowns reported for a technical object to first determine the effective breakdowns. In doing this, it merges two reported breakdowns that overlap in time. The reference time for assigning the MTTR and MTBR key figures to a statistics period is the start of the effective breakdown. In the case of longer breakdowns, this can make it impossible to calculate the key figures for the subsequent periods.
MTTR = Sum of effective downtimes / Total of effective breakdowns
MTTR = Sum of effective time between / Total of effective breakdowns

  • How to change Unit for Breakdown Duration in Maintenance order.

    Hello,
In cuni, somebody created Unit "TST" by mistake, system can not convert it to "second" for calculation automaticlly.
"TST" make no sence. So if maintain "TST" as Unit for Breakdown Duration in a maintenance order, dump will happen. However there is a maintenance order maintained Unit for Breakdown Duration as "TST" saved by mistake, Dump will happen when I try to access to this order by IW32 to change the Unit for Breakdown Duration. Is there any way to change the Unit for Breakdown Duration"TST" to "H" so that I can access to this order by IW32.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
You could temporarly adjust the CUNI definition for TST so that it can be converted to seconds. Adjust the notifications to set a valid unit of measure.
The alternative would be to update the field MAUEH in table QMIH with a valid breakdown unit of measure.

I have a new computer and I want to make it my home device for I tunes. I have home sharing, and all of the music and files are on the new computer. Now what do I do to make the new computer the home computer for Itunes?

The computer (windows platform) where I initially began using Itunes has four other computers/devices that are shared with it. All four of the other computers show up in my account, and can be managed. Or I can remove them. But on the new computer that I want to be my base computer (home if you will). The computer I want it to replace, when ITunes is open, has a tool bar, with various functions. All of the other devices are linked to that computer in ITunes, under Home SHaring. The new computer, shows the downloads via Home Sharing, but it does not show/have any tool bar.
I want to activate the new computer to be the computer via ITunes where all of the devices are linked to it as the base for ITunes. And, I don't know how to make that happen.
    I hope that makes sense.

  • Modifying the Breakdown Duration with the help of a BAPI

    Hi,
I am using BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY to modify a notification. This BAPI allows to modify everything but the Breakdown duration.Any idea why is that? Or is there a workaround?
From a SAP Note it seems for MCI7 - Brekdown Analysis report would show correct results for MTTR & MTBR only if the breakdown duration is properly populated.(thats one of the conditions that should be met.)
    Thanks

Hai, Breakdown duration is automatically calculated by SAP based on the malfunction start date & time, Malfunction end date & time entered in the notification.
    regards

For example, encountering repetitive ABRT errors for known supported command is likely to indicate ATA bus error.
Once it's determined that ATA bus errors have possibly occurred, lowering ATA bus transmission speed is one of actions which may alleviate the problem.

How do I change the "home based" computer for my IPOD to a new laptop?  When I plug in y IPOD classic, I get a msg asking me to erase the IPOD.  What I'd like to do is make the laptop my "home base" vs. my desktop.  I have had no success when using icons from ITUNES.

You need to move the iTunes library from your home computer to your new laptop first.  From there you'll be able to continue syncing your iPod as before.  This iTunes support article covers the different methods available for moving your iTunes library from one PC to another.

I just installed Airport Extreme. It works as a wireless network on my Macbook. It won't connect with my Windows Visa PC. Message reads: "settings saved on this computer for the network don't match requirements of the network." I seem to need to enter a security key/passphrase to connect to the PC. Where do I find them?
    Thanks for your help.

I assume that you have Wireless Security enabled on your AirPort's wireless network. The issue maybe that the PC is unable to use the WPA password itself and will require using the Equivalent Network Password instead.
To get this password, you will use the AirPort Utility from the MacBook:
Start the AirPort Utility > Select the AirPort base station > Manual Setup
Now, before doing anything else, go up to the utility's menu bar at the top of the screen, and then, choose "Base Station," and then, Equivalent Network Password from the drop-down menu. You will see two items: 1) WPA Password, which should look familiar to you, and 2) WPA Pre-Shared Key. It should be a long hexidecimal set of numbers and letters. Jot down this second item.
You will want to use the value you just jotted down when entering the password from the Windows Visa PC.

In APO 7.0 the CFSTKE* Queues with few entries executing for long durations  (10 hrs)

    /SAPAPO/CIF_STOCK_INBOUND

    /SAPAPO/CIF_SL_DOC_INBOUND

    Thank You

    Hi Aravind,
What is the status of your queue:
Is it in status running, ready or sysfail?
If it is in "Running" status since last 10 hours then check the following things:
Check SM51 and see if you find a long running process, see if it is trying to do a sequential read on some table.
If yes then ask your Basis team to run ST04 and see what index it is using,
If that is also fine then ask them to check stat on that table.
Builiding stat may help if a read on table is taking long time and index which is being picked up is correct.
Your basis team should be able to help you.
    I hope it helps.

  • How to convert PM Module Breakdown Duration (AUSZT) floating point value into Minutes

    Hi Frnds,
My requirement is to display a normal alv report. Out of which one of the filed is from VIQMEL-AUSZT (Breakdown Duration).
Which is of Data type FLTP.
    Details:
    AUZTV
    AUZTV
    TIMS
    6
    Start of Malfunction (Time)
    12:39:19
    AUZTB
    AUZTB
    TIMS
    6
    End of Malfunction (Time)
    12:42:00
    AUSZT
    AUSZT
    FLTP
    16
    Breakdown Duration
    1.6100000000000000E+02
Now I want to convert the value '1.6100000000000000E+02' into Minutes.
Kindly let me know the solution.
Note: I tried with standard FM 'PM_TIME_CONVERSION' and converted the break down value into hours.
    For example: 1.6100000000000000E+02 to 4,472222222222222E-02.
But i want to convert the break down duration value into perfect minutes.
    With Regards,
    Sudhir.

Simply equate to a variable of type P decimals zero. It should give you value in seconds. Divide it by 60 to have it in minutes.

  • Breakdown Duration not get calculated??

Please can anyone give me solution for this, fuctional module name which calculate the breakdown duration.
Even if we hv written the code to calculate the duration we r also passing the value but not getting populated in the table.

  • Changing breakdown duration units in reports

    Hi All,
I want to know is there any way we can change the breakdown duration "units" in Reports such as IW29 and IW39.
Actually what is happening is that whenever there is a breakdown for less than 18 seconds, then these reports show breakdown duration as 0.00 Hours.
E.g. for 17 seconds breakdown duration, these reports show 17/3600 = 0.00 Hours and of course this should not happen.
    Appreciate your help...
    Thanks,
    Thushantha

    Hi thusantha
    For ur Purpose...
Maintain the Unit "Seconds" in SPRO Settings
SAP NetWeaver - General Settings - Check Units of Measurement
U cannot change in list display mode...
If u see in the change mode of the notification, u can change the settings...
I think, seconds is not maintained..
So.. Ask Core team members to customize Seconds.
Normally in SAP it will be maintained in H - Hours. thats why ur getting only Hours...
You can change it into seconds

  • Best Computer For Premiere Pro CS4

I have used Premiere Pro CS4 on a few different types of computers so far; some work better than others. The one I currently have works pretty good, but when my projects become complex, my system begins running very slow, and the program unexpectedly shuts down very often, so I have to keep saving my project after ever little action. I am currently using a Dell Precision T3500.
I am now looking for a new computer that will run smoothly even with highly complex Premiere Pro Projects, but at the same time I do not want to spend more money than I need to.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Any insight I can get on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    -Rick

    Rick,
Which CPU is your T3500 equipped with? How much RAM is installed? How many hard drives? Which graphics card (GPU)?
If you're going to continue using CS4 (which does not take full advantage of systems such as yours), and you have one of the lower-end configurations, a new build is definitely in order: Dell charges you an astronomical price just to upgrade anything at all from the (underpowered) base configuration. For CS4, go relatively heavy on the CPU but not so much on the RAM or GPU.
However, your system could warrant an upgrade to CS5.5 if that system has already been upgraded at the factory with faster CPUs and GPUs or if that system has already been equipped with a hexa-core Xeon W36xx series CPU and you're willing to upgrade the graphics card and/or RAM yourself.

  • What computer for studio? How many drives?

I want to use Garageband to learn how to start recording a small concert band.
I am in the position to buy some gear to facilitate this ... I already have the presonus preamps ... all the mics I need and such.
I'm wondering which Mac to buy to set up the studio ... I already have two good lcd monitors ....
Could I go with a couple of mac minis and use one for archiving? Or do I need more oomph? I might go to Logic express eventually to record as I learn more. I heard you can import Garageband files right into it.
Is the mini fast enough now (drive speed)?
Or do I need a dual G5 to record on? What do I need for archiving? Do I really need two drives?
Sorry for the scattered questions .... any help in setting up a simple studio will be appreciated. Especially in the area of how many drives and what computer I need ... Thanks a bunch ...
Oh yeah ... if you have any links for me to look at that would help too ...

So what you're saying is .. it really doesn't matter
so much what kind of machine you have if you have
    this fast external firewire drive?
Not entirely, it depends what you're going to do. CPU, RAM, and Hard drive speed are all important, but some uses tax different parts of the System more. Effects and MIDI instruments push the CPU more, Auido tends to push the speed of the hard drive more.
So you would record on it ... and also mix on it ...
and then would you have another firewire drive to
    archive to?
    That could work
Does this mean I could just use a mini as my base
machine and get a couple of firewire drives ?
Probably. It;s really hard to say with 100% certainty, it really depends on what you're going to do.
    I will
also be using an audio interface like iControl
The iControl is not an audio interface. It is a control surface, it replaces your mouse to some degree, and it does offer a MIDI interface, but it will not help you get audio into your machine.
something ... where would that and the presonus
preamps go in the chain when recording and mixing?
The iControl would plug into a USB port and you'd control faders and such with it. I have no idea which PreSonus PreAmps you're using, but assuming they are just PreAmps you would plug the output into the computer's Line-In (note, make sure you get a Mac which has a Line-In (for instance the iBook doe not have a Line-In. I beleive the Mini does, the iMac does, the PowerBook does and the PowerMacs do. I'm not sure about the MacBook Pros, you'd have to check the specs at the Apple Store site.
Which brand of firewire drives do you recommend?
It really doesn't matter much. The truth is there are only a handful of companies that make hard drives (Seagate, Western Digital, Maxtor, Hitachi, and a couple of others). What you see for sale is one of those drives in a case made by different companies. IOW, there are lots of cases, but they all use one of a few HDs and I've had failures in all brands of HD, so I don't think any one is particularly better than the next (though you might look for one that offers a 5 year warranty).
Personally I like to build my own. I buy HDs when they're on sale (last one was 200Gig for $40) and then I buy a case to install it into. Installation is a breeze, it requires a screw driver. The case I like the best is the Macally PHR-100AF FireWire External Enclosure from Amazon for about $41

  • PM notification breakdown duration

    Hi everyone,
when creating a new maintenance notification (IW21) and not checking Breakdown, the system still automatically calculates breakdown duration?
Can anybody tell me why that is, is it normal and is it possible to change it?
    Thanks in advance,
    MaryM

    Hi,
    Entering Breakdown Data and Duration
If there is a functional breakdown due to a problem or the execution of an activity, you note this breakdown - depending on Customizing - in one of the following two places:
    Notification header
As a rule, when you create a notification, it is sufficient to enter the malfunction start in the notification header, and flag the field Breakdown. This indicates that the system is broken down at the time specified.
    Breakdown data screen
The breakdown data screen is relevant mainly for entering the breakdown end and the downtime.
Entries in the Breakdown Data Screen
Call up the notification in create or change mode and choose the tab pages Malfunction, Breakdown.
Enter the start and end dates of the malfunction. Flag the field Breakdown to indicate that the malfunction caused a function breakdown.
As soon as you press Enter , the system automatically calculates and displays the downtime in hours.
If you want to use a different unit of time, enter it in the field to the right of the field Breakdown duration and choose Enter.
The system calculates and displays the duration in the new unit of time. The unit entered when you save the notification is then valid for further processing of the notification.
    Save the notification.
If the downtime is already displayed and you subsequently change the malfunction start or end, the system recalculates the duration.

I have files that have been on my computer for over a year and I have used them several times and all of a sudden they wont open.  I received an error message saying they are improperly downloaded or came as an email attachement which is not the case.  Please advise

They seem to be word files - they will open if I choose "open with" microsoft word, but if I double click they don't open they are appearing as PDF on my screen.  I even opened one and then tried to "save as" making sure I chose .doc and they still appear as PDF
I just created a new document response.doc in word and when I saved to my desktop it appears as a PDF file and I absolutely did not create a PDF or save as PDF it was a simple word
    doc.
The message says "Adobe reader could not open response.doc because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example attached in an email and not properly decoded)
The reader version is I believe the most current, I always update when prompted.  OS is Windows 8
