Bass on my visio

hi,people, first post.had my vision m 60 gb for 2 weeks now(not supposed to open it til xmas).i also own a iri'ver 320h and did own an ipod 5th gen 60gb video(hated everything about that ipod, everything).what i am concerned with is the bass on the player.i set identical songs up on both the zvm and iri'ver with my shure e2c's and the iri'ver has much more natural sound to it,and more bass.i have tried all the obvious solutions of bass boosting ,equalizer etc..i'm just wondering if there is a fix coming up to boost up the bass anyhow or has it been discussed at all?..........lee

I'm pretty sure it's the player itself that doesn't offer enough bass, cuz I tried the Shure E2C on my CD player and I get tons of bass with the bass enhancement enabled. I might try to get a better seal for the earphones though.
I do actually agree with you there because I have several sony discmans and minidisk players and they all have alot more bass (using the megabass or EQ feature) than the zen touch. I just think its the way the zen touch is designed; seems creative arn't bassheads! I was seriously in the same position as you when I first got the zen touch but over the last few months I've just gotten use to it and still find the overall sound quality of the zen touch to be head & shoulders above most modern portable cd players/minidisc players. Honestly I really love deep sloppy bass when its required (reason why I used the sony mdr-ex7/8 for so long!) but for the majority of my music I find the ER6i + Zen Touch excellent; the bass is deep, just not bloated.Message Edited by titaniumx3 on 06-20-2005 0:53 AM
Note: the new firmware EQ can give out more bass without distorting, but unfortunately the rest of the sound is messed up which is why I reverted back to the old firmware.Message Edited by titaniumx3 on 06-20-2005 0:56 AM

  • How to disable IE Security Warning on opening a "local" visio file with Visio Viewer ActiveX?

    Hello all,
Everyone knows that Microsoft released ActiveX based Visio Viewer for free and allow the users to open Visio drawing and view/print via IE browser.
The problem that I am facing is that some users are complaining about IE browser's security warning on "active content to run in files on My Computer".
It means that opening .VSD files from the network, internet, intranet would be all OK but if the user wants to open .VSD files from the local hard drive (or open it as a mail attachment, which will extract it to a temp folder), it prompt the user to select "Allow Blocked Content" EVERYTIME they open them.
I know that I can GLOBALLY disable this warning by going through Tools - Internet Options - Security section and enable "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer" but I hope that there is a way (or workaround) to allow them by file type or location, etc.
    Questions:
    1. Is there any way to disable those warning for all .VSD only while we still UNCHECK the option on Internet Options?
    2. Is there any 3rd party Win32 based viewer which wouldn't have those restriction?
    3. Is it safe assumption that McAfee VirusScan and Host IPS protection is sufficient enough to remove the IE's security warning feature?
    Thanks in advance?
    Young-

Are you able to host/launch the VSD file via an HTM page? In that case you can format the HTM page as shown below. This will trick IE into thinking it is loading the file off of a website. Commonly called 'mark of the web'.

  • Visio Diagram is not refreshing the data from list

    Hi,
I made a pivot diagram in visio 2013 and linked it with SharePoint 2013 list. I configured the Visio services, uploaded it document library. I can view the diagram in browser but it is not automatically refreshing not even by pressing the "Refresh"
    button.
Instead i have to open it in visio, refresh the diagram manually and the save it in SP document library to refresh the diagram.
I am using visio web access to view the diagram and also the auto-refresh is enable.

Then open FF, tools, options, application settings, search "visio" and change the default to open with Visio. There might be cases where even though Visio is displayed, you'd have to browse to Visio.exe on your Office install path.
This is tested and worked on XP/Win7 with Office 07/10.

  • Bass Redirect in Vista x64 w/ XI-FI 2.13.0

    Hi everyone,
My apologies if this question has already been answered (and often,) but I couldn't find it while searching.
Anyway, on my old PC with Windows XP (and then Vista) 32 bit, I was able to use my X-Fi's bass redirect function to spread out the bass over my front speakers. I've since moved my soundcard to a new PC featuring Windows Vista x64, and I can no longer find this feature.
Does anyone know if the latest Vista drivers (2.3.002) support bass redirect, and if so, how I might locate the feature?
My card is a Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Edition. Btw, I thankfully haven't experienced any other problems with the card / driver / OS combination. The card sits in an nForce 680i moBo and is situated in the lone PCI slot between the two PCI-E x6 slots.
    Thanks,
    Mark.

Hmm.. Very interesting. I'm downloading now (hopefully it will be finished by the time I arri've home from work -- it's a very sllllloooow download at 20 Kpbs.) Btw, does anyone know if this works on Vista x64 as well?
    Mark.

  • Cross Reference paragraphs from Word to imbedded Visio document

I have a word document with about 200 steps included which are cross referenced throughout Word.  I have a Visio flowchart that serves as a visual picture of these steps, but requires manual input and adjustment when we adjust the steps in Word.
I don't want to use the hyperlink, I'd rather have a cross reference that will auto update the step number only to match the Word paragraph number.  If I could incorporate cross references from the text in the Visio file objects to the paragraph numbers
in Word, this would save many hours at my organization.  Additionally, this is Visio Professional 2007 as I couldn't find a forum for 2007, only 2010.  I've searched many forums, but haven't come across any successful answer.  PLEASE HELP MICROSOFT!

When I've used hyperlinks, I've always tied them to bookmarks in the word document. I haven't heard of a cross-reference between the two products.

  • MIDI Loops for BASS

Recently I got some MIDI Drum Loops from groovemonkee.com. Are there any sites like this that provide BASS loops? I want to run these through my East West Hard Core Bass plugins.
I am looking but not having much luck so far. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I just don't think like a kick a** bass player yet. I like a lot of audio loops I hear but I like the option of tweaking the lines if I need to when I am working on compositions.
The plugin itself is great. I am very happy with the purchase.
I just am looking for a lot of input when it comes to lines and I don't have a ton of time to sit around creating them.

  • Sharepoint Visio Services .vdw file not getting refreshed

    Hello,
I recently imported an orgchart in visio from (sql server table, excel sheet) that created shapes for me. And I can publish the file as .vdw on a sharepoint library and it works fine over there. But I wanted to refresh the data as the data in sql table
or excel sheet chages. So I linked to datasource on visio to excel sheet(saved on sharepoint same library where the .vdw file is) and did automatically link the shapes with the external data. Refresh works fine on the visio file. But after I publish to sharepoint(in
the publish settings datasource is selected) as vdw file, and I make some changes to excel file, and click refresh on the vdw file viewed in browser I dont see any data changes. I tried several different ways like connecting to data connection library pointing
to sql table etc. Nothing seems to refresh the data in vdw file. Am I missing something? Appreciate help.
    thank you.

    Hi,
I understand that you failed to refresh Visio Services .vdw file.
It is a configuration problem in Central Administration.
You need to create Target Application and associate it with Visio Services.
Here is a similar blog for your reference:
    http://sharepointsolutions.com/sharepoint-help/blog/2010/10/visio-services-wont-refresh-in-sharepoint-2010how-to-fix-it/
If the issue still exists, I recommend to log into Central Administration, clicked on the SharePoint Health Analyzer and see the issues.
In addition, you can check the SharePoint ULS log to find more information about this error, the ULS log file is in the location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
    Extensions\14\LOGS
You can check the ULS log by the methods here:

  • SharePoint Designer 2010 and Visio 2013 Issues

I currently have Visio 2013 and SharePoint Designer 2010 installed.  I have two problems that I'm experiencing and any help would be greatly appreciated.
    1. I'm able to export an already manually created workflow from SharePoint Designer 2010 as a .vwi file without a problem and am able to import the file into Visio Pro 2013.  I
was also able to export the file from Visio once changes were made.  However, when I go to import the file into SharePoint Designer I receive a message stating "This workflow cannot be imported because it was created in SharePoint Designer for a
different site, or the original workflow has been moved or deleted.  To move a workflow between sites, use Save as Template (.wsp file) instead of Visio workflow drawing."  I cannot figure out how to save it in the format the prompt is suggesting
as this is not available from the list of Save As options from Visio and when exporting from Visio the only format to do so is as a Visio Workflow Interchange (.vwi file).  When exporting from SharePoint Designer I’m only able to export as a .vwi file
and the Save As option is not available in SharePoint Designer.  Additionally, the file location where I exported from SharePoint and importing back into SharePoint is not changing, nor is the file name.
    2. If I create a workflow from scratch within Visio utilizing the SharePoint 2010 shapes, I'm about to export without a problem and save as a .vwi file.  I'm also able to import this workflow into SharePoint Designer, but the problem is the workflow
never actually shows up and I do not receive any errors.
Any help on either or both of these issues would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Use Visio 2010. You may be running into a compatibility issue between Visio 2013 and Designer 2010.

  • Sharepoint Designer 2010 and Visio 2013

I am testing out Visio Professional 2013. I can import a VWI file from Sharepoint Designer 2010 and I can export a VWI file from Visio. But when I try to import the VWI file created in Visio 2013 into sharpoint Designer 2010 it appears to work, as
I don't get an error, but the work flow never appears.  Any thoughts?

    Hi,
Based on my research, if it is SharePoint Designer 2010, then the only edition that supports SharePoint workflows is Visio 2010 Premium edition.
And if you use Visio 2013, then it need to use SharePoint Designer 2013.

i have both "Excel services Application "& "Visio Graphics Service" running correctly.
The problem i am facing is as follow:-
when a user click on an Excel sheet or Visio document , it will be shown inside the browser without any problem.
but if the user click on "Open in Visio" OR "Open in Excel" links inside the browser, they will get the following errors:-
Sorry, but to open this workbook, your computer must be running a supported version of Microsoft Excel and a browser that supports opening files directly from Office Web Apps.
To open this document, your computer must be running a supported version of Microsoft Visio and a browser that supports opening files directly from Visio Web Access.
I have the following settings inside my PC:-
Office 2010 for Excel, word, power point, etc.
    Visio 2013.
i have disabled SharePoint foundation support for office 2013
Can anyone advice on this please?

    Hi,
Please try to reset the Internet Explorer settings or open Internet Explorer in In-Private browsing and then check if this issue occurs.
If the issue persists, please try to access SharePoint in another computer with Office 2013 and then check if this issue occurs. Or repair Office and restart your server.
Here is a blog about the same issue for you to take a look at:

  • How to get mouse over shape to display data in Visio 2013?

    Hi Visio pros,
I am required to create a diagram of our servers rack setup and will be publishing to a Web page using Visio 2013.
The goal is to mouse over the server shape and have the data be displayed. I have followed arguably every solution on the internet. I am either doing it wrong, or it might be outdated information.
I'm hoping Paul Herber, or other Visio pros would be able to help me with this situation as I am on a tight schedule and have exhausted my resources.
    Things I have tried:
    user.visEquivTitle in ShapeSheet
    http://visualsignals.typepad.co.uk/vislog/2012/02/no-mouseover-with-visequivtitle.html
    and
prop.(data name) in the comments within the miscellaneous section of the ShapeSheet.

    Hi Sir!
I am open to the possibility that I may have done something wrong as I am very new to Visio.
Here are the steps I followed:
    http://visio.mvps.org/ShapeSheet/
Browser that I am using is Internet Explorer since I ran into problems with Google Chrome.
However, after more reading I noticed the User.visEquivTitle provides a tooltip. If it is what I think it is, which is a small yellow box displaying a string, my employer would not want that.
We're looking for something that will provide an aesthetic display of data after mouse over onto the shape.
Thank you very much for your help.
