Bass Speaker support

On one of my songs, it sound great with my Mac's speakers, but if I plug in my headphone the bass guitar is far too loud, obviosly because these headphones allow listeners to hear more bass tones. If I turn the bass down it will sound with the headphones, but without them the song's dynamic is lost because the bass cannot be heard. I want all listerners to hear my song the way it should be heard, weather they have normal speakers, or good ones.
Is there a way to adjust certain levels in my song so that the bass will be loud with normal speakers, and quite with good speakers that allow listeners to hear more bass?
Or if not, how should i compromise?

Where does one start.
Both of your monitoring devices are inaccurate.
In order of importance.
1. Learning and understanding Mixing, (can take a good part of a lifetime)
You can start by importing a few professional tracks into Logic and start comparing what your trying to do with the pro mixes. Most people starting out mix way too bass heavy. (of course, it also depends on the genre)
2. Purchase a decent audio Interface, accurate monitors and study how to set your monitoring room up for a balanced listening experience. The audio interface in your Mac does not reproduce audio accurately, most computer speakers are terribly inaccurate as are most headphones. You also need to take your mixes around and listen to them on as many playback systems as possible. Indeed, it is a compromise you're looking for. I would lean towards less bass in a mix rather than more bass.
3. Understand there is no easy way out, good mixing is an art and a performance in and of itself. There are many books and videos available to get you started.

  • Anyone elses 15" Retina left "bass" speaker stopped working?

I'll be taking it in to get fixed soon, but was just curious if anyone else has had this fault?
The macbook is otherwise fantastic, but the left bass speaker (I can hear treble coming through both speaker sides when I cover my hand over the right "bass" speaker). Of course it's not really a bass speaker, but more of a mid-range, but anyway...

    Hi,
    Try a PRAM reset.
If that does not fix it, you may need to take it in to the Apple Genius bar. It could be a hardware problem.
Is there a red light showing in the headphone plug-in port? If so you could try plugging the headphones in and out several times.

  • T7700, center channel, full speaker support

    Hey all,
Just picked up the Inspire T7700 system (looks great) and have got all channels but the center forward working thus far.
My audio card is the SB Live! Value, and so far I can see no software options to support more than four speakers:
    http://dmzweb4.europe.creative.com/S...,Case=obj(273)
Under "Testing your audio card with a pair of headphones or analog speakers," software options are shown that I just
don't have under my Creative Surround Mixer (speaker setup for 5.1/7.1). Presumably the options I'm seeing at the above
URL are within software for a different sound card, but the page doesn't state this. The T7700 isn't supposed to come
bundled with software (I did update to the recent driver pack and PlayCenter and no soap), so what driver package
provides options to support more than four speakers? (i.e., I need the drivers for full support of the 7 speakers for
the T7700). Also, at this URL:
    http://ask.americas.creative.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=ww_english,Company={CEAE26D-879-4C00-AC9F-03BC258F7B70},VARSET=ws:http://us.creative.com,case=4883
It mentions that CMSS is supported by the Live! series cards. I have the 5.1->7.1, 6.1-7.1, and 'direct' CMSS options
on the sub -- changing this setting doesn't give me my center channel (i.e., I read another thread where someone got
their center channel working through adjusting the CMSS setting -- this didn't work for me). What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    -Chris

The Live! Value sound card support up to 4.1 analog speaker. Therefore there would not be 5, speaker option in the mixer applicaton. Perhaps it times to upgrade your sound card to at least a 5.1 speaker support or 7.1 speaker support since you have a 7.1 speaker.
The Audigy 2 ZS sound card would be able to support up to 7.1 speaker.

  • HT2534 I am from the U.S, now currently in the Czech Republic. Just bought an iphone with vodafone. I can't get past the account setting on itunes, etc...either way, How do I get ENGLISH SPEAKING HELP instead of being redirected to the Czech Language stor

I am somewhat new to apple products. I am from the U.S. and currently studying in the Czech Republic.
I have an itouch with an apple ID, but lately I can't get it to charge or work. After pluggin the usb recharge cable to the computer at my universities facility, it gives a black page with a picture of the cable and the arrow pointing to itunes logo. The school's computer labs don't have i tunes or anything like that.
I also just got an iphone 4S and have been trying to set up and i can't seem to complete the process for the itunes so i can install the apps i had in the itouch and also to get new apps. It stops me and says to contact the itunes for support right after the input of address and phone number information, etc...
The purchase was made in the czech republic from a vodafone store, but if i remember right i configured it to US settings so I don't have to deal so much with everything showing up in Czech.
I tried getting help by going to the support, but after putting in my  name, email, phone number for scheduling a call with them it rejects the phone number because i am putting in my czech phone number. Putting in my previous US number would be useless because I am not in the US and that number is probably inactive.
I would to get some English speaking support while being here in the czech republic.
    Any advice?
    -peteMD-

If you are completely confident that you didn't hide it, then you purchased those with different apple id. If you completely confident that you purchases with same apple id then you have hidden it. One of the other or you are speaking about a miracle. While miracles are possible they are not very likely. • Question about SB Live 5.1 platinum speaker set

I was just wondering if it is possible with the SB Li've 5. platinum card to have a game using the SPDIF output and set up another set of speakers on the line out channel for use with a teamspeak type program?

You mean you get audio at all??Heh. I did hear of Windows Update giving some sort of 2. sound so maybe that's what you have. Since Creative isn't going to do any work on the old Li've series (non-24bit), I suggest you try the latest beta kXProject drivers from the driverheaven.net kXProject forum. 3538l is Windows Vista compatible. Just install it with UAC turned off. Don't know how much is working, but it's possible that your Li'veDri've is one of the things. See for yourself. Better than the basic Microsoft implementation, especially for your 5. speaker support.

  • SAP Enterprise Support

    Hi experts,
For Enterprise Support, I'm sure that I need to install the addon ST-ETP and to implement the initial setting described the notes [1140258|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1140258], [1109650|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1109650].
But I'm not sure that futher settings are required.
Is it enough to have Solution Manager Enterprise Edition for Enterprise Support?
    Best regards,
    TK

I got an information from a management circle and the German DSAG:
    (translated, not quoted)
    - you have to create a COE (Competence Center of Excellence) with a english speaking support person in 12 months after the enterprise support started (1st of january 2009)
    - you have to grant the necessary permissions on your systems to assist the support in case a remote access is necessary
    - you have to keep the Solution Manager with patches up-to-date
    - you have to use SolMan for the documentation of your core business process (Business Process Monitoring)
    - you have to use SolMan for the documentation of new implementations (Roadmaps)
    - you have to use SolMan to document any modification

  • Distorted Subwoofer Sound from Heavy Bass - Gigaworks S700

When I first got this speaker system, the subwoofer worked great. After awhile of some heavy bass from rap music, the subwoofer got this distorted sound. I sent it in for repairs and when they sent it back it worked good for a little while. After some more heavy bass the distorted sound came back again. I call it a "ripple effect" that occurs. It's okay with a little bass, but if I put in some rap music with heavier bass, it gets really annoying with that "rippling" sound. The bass is much weaker than it is supposed to be. I already sent it in once, and I figure sending it in again will just be a waste of time. It would be nice to just get a replacement, even if I have to pay for the sub seperately. Even that wouldn't guarantee it would work, because maybe Creative's subs are just not that good for heavy bass.
My subwoofer has been like this for several months now, but I haven't done anything about it because I figure it will be a waste of time. I figure I just buy another speaker system from somebody else in the future, but today I decided to post this here. Anybody else have a similar issue with the subwoofer? Maybe I could ask Creative for a replacement sub, but I don't know if they'll do that. When I first contacted them about it, I wanted to know if I could just get a replacement (free or at a cost) because I didn't want to wait a few weeks to listen to music, but they ignored that part of my email and sent me an RMA number and stuff anyways.

It sounds like you may be damaging your bass speaker. When you first got your speakers, at what volume did you play them at? What you need to do is start them at a lower volume and let the speakers play continuously for a few hours. You might notice the speakers get louder even though you didn't touch the volume control. Turn up the speakers a little bit and have them play for a few more hours. Keep repeating this until your speakers are playing slightly above your normal listening level. This is called "breaking in" the speakers. Whether or not this does anything can be up for debate, but I noticed that my MegaWorks 550 got louder and the subwoofer was pumping out cooler air after this procedure. If you play your speaker at a very high volume when you first get them, you are asking for trouble. Also, leaving speakers playing full blast for a while can damage them.
As for a replacement subwoofer, you'll have to contact Cambridge SoundWorks at www.hifi.com because they're the ones who actually make the GigaWorks and MegaWorks. The subwoofer for the MegaWorks 550 is the BassCube 82 (but without the internal 6ch. amp). I'm not sure about the GigaWorks.

  • [SOLVED]PC Speaker (buzzer) - how to enable it?

I know it's strange, but I like PC speaker (buzzer) beep event sound. In almost every new live distro I tried, I hear that horrible beep emulation through sound card and external speakers.
Is there any way to fix this?
I tried Arch Linux 2009.02 on my other computer (Gigabyte GA-31M-S2L, G31 chipset), and there I hear beep on buzzer, but on my main machine (Intel Bad Axe2, 975X chipset) I hear beep through sound card. I also tried old Arch 2007.05 cd on main machine, and than I hear beep on buzzer, the way it should be.
Is there something broken between new kernel's and snd-hda-intel module (Sigmatel) or something?
I put pcspkr in modules list /etc/rc.conf, but that doesn't help.
Reason why I like pc speaker is, because I like beep in console, terminal, vi, incoming new mail etc., to get some input information from my machine, to not be dependent on wav sounds and external speakers.

I have found who is guilty for this irritating beep emulation crap. It is in Device Drivers>Sound Card Support (NEW)>Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (NEW)>PCI sound devices>Intel HD Audio (NEW)>Support digital beep via input layer (NEW), section of Linux kernel configuration. It is Y by default. I suggest to turn this crap to N by default, because nobody (i presume) uses this s*it, especially when is so irritating.
Generic sound devices (NEW)>PC - speaker support (READ HELP!) (NEW) have nothing to do with beep noise. It can be only N or M.
Support digital beep via input layer SND_HDA_INPUT_BEEP
Say Y here to build a digital beep interface for HD-audio
driver. This interface is used to generate digital beeps.
    Thanks Wintervenom for your suggestion.

  • Audigy 1 / Inspire 5300: Right front speaker is

    Hallo
Tried the search function but didn't find something similar.
I noticed that I have an issue with the right front channel on my good old Audigy . After some testing (switching speakers) I realised that the speaker works just fine. When I play, for example, music in Winamp I hear music coming out of all speakers which is good.
However, when I execute Creative's speaker testing program I hear nothing coming out of the front right speaker. Also when playing a game (in my case Half Life 2) I hear nothing coming out of the front right speaker.
Speaker problem? Doubt so... cause music plays just fine in Winamp.
Could it be a card problem? If so, how come Winamp plays music fine through that channel?
I haven't tried reinstalling the drivers though because I have no access to the Internet until october 27. I will redownload the driver from my workplace (which I'm also posting at the moment) burn it on cd and try that. Could that help?
If not, would a new card help? Audigy 2 isn't really expensi've anymore. Could it also be something in the bass speaker? Or is that out of the question?
    Thanks in advance.

I think MP3 or Audio CDs or DVD Mpeg sound recordings will not produce any multichannel sounds unless 2.1. If you play these kind of cds only front left and front right (incld woofer) will produce sounds. To get all the channel worked, you need to play a 5.1 Dolby Digital DVD. Please try this out and reply
