Bass too loud in T6100 5.1 set

Hey, a few days ago i got a t6100 and im really impressed by it.. Maybe a little too much, because even on the lowest level of the subwoofer it makes the house+neighbourhood shake.. So i had to put a piece of cardboard under the subwoofer, put the lower tones in the equalizer very low.. but there is no difference between alot of bass, and no bass when i do this, where the tracks lose their vibe.. on my old t200 when i turned the knob of the subwoofer down all the way, it would give very little to none bass. I wonder if i can make this possible in the 600 without these measurements?
I will get an x-fi sound card in a few days, are there any options in there to temper the bass?

hey aki i got the same set as yours but wheni turn the bass button on it lowest i dont hear anything (must be equalized i suggest u have onboard sound as i have X-Fi Xtreme Gamer i think maybe that will be the difference)

  • Subwoofer/bass too loud

    Hi!
When playing a videoclip or playing a game in flash the bass is way too loud. Anyone else with this problem? It only appears when I'm using Firefox, not Chrome.
I've tried re-installing Flash and Firefox.
    Flash-version
    11.8.800
    Web browser
    Firefox 23.0.1
    Operating system
    Windows 7 64bit

    @Chris Campbell
Thanks for your reply! And apologies for my slow response.
I've followed the steps closely to uninstalling Flash Player and installed Flash Player 11.7 for both IE and other browsers. After uninstalling I checked the versions using this link:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html
    and noted the following versions:
On my Google Chrome 30.0.1599.101 m:
    Your Flash Player Version: 11.9.900.117
    Your OS: Windows 7 (32-bit)
    Your Browser: Google Chrome
    On my Maxthon 4.1.3.4000:
    Your Flash Player Version: 11.5.502.149
    Your OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)
    Your Browser: Google Chrome
    On my IE 10.0.9200.16721:
    No Flash Player found
Seems like the uninstall process did not clean up Flash Player entirely. Nevertheless, I tried installing Flash Player 11.7 to see what we get. Post-installation, I checked the versions again and saw the same for Google Chrome and Maxthon but for my IE, I now see:
    Your Flash Player Version: 11.7.700.242
    Your OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)
    Your Browser: Internet Explorer
I then went back to YouTube to check the bass levels and still heard a bass boost when using Maxthon and IE and not Chrome.
Hope this is useful! Let me know what you'd like me to try next

  • Headphone sound too loud - how to get very fine volume control in osx

I could not use my headphones on my new MBP, because the sound was always too loud, even on the smallest setting. It appears that lots of other people have similar problems, so here is a way to fix this:
To get very fine sound volume control I use soundflower fromhttp://code.google.com/p/soundflower/. You have to restart after installing it. Then go to preferences/sound/output and choose soundflower(2ch). Start soundflower from the applications folder, click on the flower symbol in the top pannel and soundflower(2ch) built in output. Then go to Audio setup and change the master for soundflower(2ch). This way you can get the global sound less loud or you can amplify it.
Hope this helps a few people

    You saved my life (and my ears) ! Thank you marcel-sl for sharing this (;
    Prety cool software if you have an USB headset too loud. Now, I can use F11 and F12 (;

  • My 2nd generation itouch volume is too loud

The volume on my itouch is way too loud even at the lowest setting. If I slide it anymore it would mute. I don't know what to do. Can anyone offer any advice?
    Thanks

Go into the Settings app then press Music. You'll see an option called "Volume Limit." This is Apple's way of making sure you don't burst your eardrums. Use the slider to adjust the Volume Limit to your prefrence. It also you be your headphones or speaker. Try using a different speaker or another pair of headphones.
    Hope I helped!

  • ITunes 10 upgrade makes airtunes volume too loud even at minimum setting

I just updated to iTunes 10 this morning and love the interface and most of what is has to offer. I have, however, encountered an issue with the volume when streaming my music through Airtunes (or Airplay now) and my Airport Express to external speakers. I have an Express set up in my son's room and hooked up to a pair of computer speakers via a stero-mini to stereo-mini. Before the update the volume adjustment worked fine but after updating to iTunes 10 even the minimum volume is too loud for the white noise we put on to help him sleep. If you have ever had a fussy infant you understand that this is a HUGE problem. I've read the forums and come up with nothing. I know that I can manually change the master volume of the sleep sounds (get info on specific track and change master volume) but that's a ridiculous work-around. I've resorted to using Airfoil (an excellent program by the way) because I can't get Airplay to work right. All of the setting are there for it to be a real hit (individual volume settings for each set of external speakers - I have 2 airport express units) but they just DON'T WORK. What a shame that after an update I have to resort to a 3rd party program. I hope Apple hears this and updates very soon or the folks at Airfoil are going to be getting a lot of business very soon. Next post is at Engadget and Mashable
cool. please let me know if you've found a setting that I don't know about.
    thx.

iTunes 10 allows each AirTunes (AirPlay) zone to have a separate volume. Try selecting "Multiple Speakers" in the "AirPlay" tab and adjust the volume from there. Also make sure the "Preferences" settings are set to allow for remote volume to be set.

  • AUX IN too loud on minimum mixer sett

I have an ES37/ES373 SoundBlaster card. Even with the built-in Windows mixer recording volume set to minimum, the input through AUX IN is WAY TOO LOUD. Mute cuts it off completely. Is this not a logarithmic volume control (audio taper)? I should expect to be able to smoothly adjust to zero volume using the slider on the Recording AUX IN volume slider.
What gives? Is there a workaround? Different Mixer software?

That will be some settings adjustments on your computer (e.g., volume control or volume management) and not on your MDR-1R headphones. You may contact the support provider of your computer for best assistance.

  • Ipod playing too loud?

Hi there, JOSH!!! Oooooooohhhhhhhhh! Anyway, I've been having some problems with my ipod nano (4th gen) recently and I'm wondering if ya'll could help me out, if you'd kindly :3
Firstly the ipod is playing too loud, way too loud. Now this is not just your typical loudness, this is.... Advananced loudness.... To the point that the song becomes barely listenable.. Ok, to give you an example, let's say I'm listening to "POWER" by Kanye West. When the drums and the 'beat' come in at about 0:25 it just sounds like grabbled static, really loud, grabbled static. :/
And I've no idea what's going on.. At first I thought that the bass and treble in the equalizer was too high, but it turned out the equalizer wasn't even on :S Then I tried restoring it to factory settings (Several times), but that didn't work either. And 'then' I thought it might just be the headphones, but that was a dead end too! :O Now I'm left wondering, just what the **** is going on :/ Anyone have any ideas on this? (P.S Volume limit was never used)
Secondly it runs out of battery, like that *Clicks fingers* I think after 45 minutes it's already out of juice. :/ Though I believe that this might be due to the 'loud' problem, it could be something else ...
Thirdly it keeps 'crashing' and it's not just a 'hold down ya menu and play button and it'sa better' crash. It's a 'Restore to factory and resync your whole ****ing libeary everytime' crash :/
It's only recently started doing this. About the time itunes was last updated.. I synced up and poof ipod starts acting funny :S
So can anybody find me!!! Somebody tohelpmefixmyipod?
As a note my Nano magically recovered from being dropped in water about a year. However it's been working just fine and dandy for about 5-6 months now.

Try verifying that you do not have optional volume adjustment cranked up.
While in iTunes, get info on a track that is having this issue.  Go to the options tab and at the top there is a "Volume Adjustment" setting. It should be set to "None". If it is set to +100%, that is your problem.
To fix, all of them at once, you can select all in your music library, then right click and select "Get Info" it will ask if you want to change multiple files at once, say yes. Then go to the options tab and set it to None and it will put that on all your tracks.
click ok, resync your music and see if that does it.

  • Need Headset recommendation... my Motorola Headset is too LOUD at min vol.

Help Please! I just purchased a new iPhone (am loving it!).
Only problem is my current Motorola 500 Headset when paired with my iPhone is way too loud for my hearing even at the lowest volume settings. Have both iPhone and wireless headset volumes set to minimum.
I want to buy a new headset, but both AT&T and Apple staff tell me I'll need to do a trial and error of headsets to find a "quiet" one. '*Am hoping someone here, 'in discussions', might have a suggestion for a suitable bluetooth wireless headset.*
    Many Thanks and appreciation...
    Geoff

Absolutely positively the BEST headset Ive ever found so far is the one in the Apple Store:
    http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=MTU 4MTc&fnode=home/shopipod/ipodaccessories/headphones&nplm=TP637LL/A
The V-MODA VIBE Duo Earphones/Headset for iPhone
The bass on these things is incredible. Never heard such good bass in a headset.

  • IMovie to iDVD--Video too dark, sound too loud--Help!

I created three iMovie projects for my son's swim team, then made a DVD using iDVD. It was fine when viewed in iDVD's preview, but when burned to the DVD-R the video was too dark and the sound was way too loud. This is footage taken on a Sony digital camcorder (DCR-TRV11).
I did the iDVD project by starting from scratch from within iDVD, then dragging the iMovie pieces and still images into the iDVD project. The iMovie pieces were prepared by using Share to make them into "full quality" .dv movies.
When I play the finished DVD on my iMac, there are no unusual problems with the video or audio. It looks and sounds like it did when played from the digital camcirder. But when played on both of my standalone DVD players + TVs, the video is too dark and the audio is much too loud.
Any idea why this is, and to fix it? I don't find a way to reduce the audio volume in iMovie. Maybe there is a workaround using the Relative Volume feature, but all my clips have a similar sound level. Any help will be appreciated.
    --Eric
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

when burned to the DVD-R the video was too dark
They is a VERY slight darkening during the MPG-2 compression process (see my pages Digital Video Color Bars Test at http://homepage.mac.com/profpixel/color_bars/colorbars.htm and iMovie HD and iDVD 5 Gray Patch Test at http://homepage.mac.com/profpixel/gray_patches/graypatches.htm )
I suspect what you are seening is a major difference in brightness/contrast between your computer monitior and your TV set (and in fact you admit this: "When I play the finished DVD on my iMac, there are no unusual problems with the video or audio. It looks and sounds like it did when played from the digital camcirder. But when played on both of my standalone DVD players + TVs, the video is too dark and the audio is much too loud.") so you aren't seeing an iDVD problem.

  • Mac audio TOO LOUD after rebooting Mac

After rebooting a PowerMac G4/500 (AGP) with Mac OS X 10.4.6 sounds too loud (as if it was at top highest volume) when playing audio files, even though the audio setting (keyboard audio keys) is set to only one to three points. Just clicking such keyboard audio buttons (to lower or even increase it) fixes it and the audio returns to its correct volume. What is going on? This is driving me nuts!
    Thanks.

    Justin,
Thanks. I have done as indicated, shut down and booted, yet the issue persists. For instance, if I go to iTunes and play a song, it plays very loud, yet the audio is set at a single point. I can see it clicking the keyboard audio keys. As said, once I click any of such keys (increase or reduce volume any amount) the audio returns to its normal volume until the next time that I boot the Mac. This is a 100% consistent issue. Weird.

  • G6-1D96NR Laptop. Windows 7 Volumn is too loud

G6-1D96NR Laptop. Windows 7 Volumn is too loud on USB external speakers, even with the volume set to "1", in the volume mixer, and all the way down on the speaker.  If I put it to "0" then there is no sound.  Only options I have are "no sound" or too loud.  No in between.

I have the same problem. Did you ever find a solution? I'm still looking for an answer, which I'll share, once I find it.

  • Cannot adjust sound without it being too loud

    Hello.
I've basically had this problem since I upgraded to Windows Vista, and now it's starting to frustrate me quite a bit since going down the 64x bit route...
I cannot figure out how to get my volumes back to a normal state. When I was on Windows XP, I could have my main volume at about 75, and it would not be too quiet or too loud, but since the ugprade, the speakers are set to 4, and everything has to be jacked down otherwise it is far too loud.
The sound card is an Audigy 2 ZS.
This is what my volume mixer panel looks like.

I have the same problem on my 2011 Macbook Pro.
I've been using my computer with my lid closed and on external speakers and monitor and bluetooth devices for days on end and I haven't found a solution.
Has anyone out there found a solution yet?
This was the only place I found so far with the same exact issue I have.

  • Mail alert sounds too loud; preferences ignored

After I upgraded to Leopard, suddenly the alert sounds in Mail were way too loud. I double-checked my "Alert volume" setting in the Sound preferences and it was set low. Other system sounds are played at an appropriate level. Only Mail ignores it. It seems that no matter what my system volume is set to, Mail alerts are played at 100% volume.
I found this old thread on the same topic, and am wondering if there is any fix for this problem yet?
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=7058243
Since I have been unable to find any reference to a fix from Apple, and I am sick of about jumping out of my skin when I am concentrating on work and a new message comes in... here is a hack that I did today that might help others: I located each sound file Mail uses (I have several that are used in my Rules), opened each in Audacity ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ), adjusted each to -15db, and saved a copy of the files. I then assigned the "new mail" sound to use the quieter copy. Each rule also had to be edited to attach to the new files.
It's a hack, and time-consuming, but it seems to work.
