You can't create a full Portfolio from .NET, but you can create a limited one using the JavaScript APIs.

  • Adobe PDF Creation Add-On 9 install error

I have just upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit and was able to install Robohelp HTML without any problems. However, when I try to install the Adobe PDF Creation Add-On I get the following message: "This installation package could not be opened.  Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."
Since I rely on the PDF Creation Add-On to create PDF files I need to find a resolution to this problem.  Is there a Window 7 version of the Robohelp installer that I can use?

  • Adobe PDF Creation Add-on keeps installing!

Hi. I have a annoying problem on my Vista computer. Every time I click on a pdf related folder, program or file "Adobe PDF Creation Add-on" installs. Again and again, and all over again. Please help me fix this issue.
    Greeting from Norway
(If you need more spesifications just say so :P )

Did you ever figure out how to fix your problem? I've got the same issue. I installed Acrobat Pro 8.1.4 upgrade and now it continually tells me its installing whenever I:
    1. Start my computer
    2. Start MS Office 2007
    3. Start Mozilla Firefox
If I disable the addon to make PDFs then it doesn't try to install. The installation obviously doesn't work because even if I allow it to complete the installation process and restart it still tries to install again and the software doesn't work properly. Sometimes Acrobat opens, other times it just keeps trying to install.
If you have figured out how to fix it, It would be nice if you could pass on the info.
I did try using the MS Office installation cleaner (another forum recomended it), but that was totally useless.
    Thanks

  • Error instling Acrobat - a higher version Adobe PDF creation Add-On is already

When I try to install Acrobat XI Pro the setup complains "Setup has detected that your already have a higher version product - Adobe PDF Creation Add-On 11.0.01 installed. Setup will now terminate." How can I complete the Acrobat install?

    The correct answer is
Uninstall the Adobe PDF Add-on via Add/Remove Control Panel and then install Adobe Acrobat XI.

I wish Adobe had real support.

  • How do I create a "hover effect" in an Adobe Portfolio layout template?

I am trying to find/create as layout template for Adobe portfolio that can create a hover effect so when the reader hovers over a heading it display a list of pdf documents that are grouped under the heading and the reader can select which one to view.

Changing the functionality of the Portfolio layouts requires you to write an entirely new one using the Acrobat Portfolio SDK and Flex - or hiring someone to do it for you.

  • Adding e-mails to Adobe Portfolio using the Outlook Plug-in

I support a user here who is asking if it is possible to add additional emails to an Adobe
portfolio using the Outlook Plug-in.  The user initially creates a portfolio of emails using the plug in, but would then like to add further emails to the portfolio (e.g. from other subfolders in Outlook, etc.).  Is this possible, and, if so, how is it accomplished?

Outlook 2013 (and for that matter Office 2013) are supported by Acrobat 11, not Acrobat 10 which was released well before Office 2013 was released.

  • Using Adobe portfolio

    Hi Everyone,
Using 'Adobe Acrobat XI Pro' I could not find out the option to add 'already opened files' to Adobe portfolio folder . Please help to resolve this issue. For Admin, If this feature is not included yet in any Adobe version, take this as my suggestion.  Thanks

@Tan23 - to include the currently-open files when creating a new Portfolio, click the Create button on the toolbar and choose "Combine files into a single PDF" - do NOT choose "PDF Portfolio".
Then on the top left corner of the Combine Files dialog there is an "Add Files..." button that opens a dropdown menu. The last item on that menu is "Add Open Files...".
To make sure you are creating a Portfolio rather than adding the pages to a normal PDF, click the Options button on the top right of the dialog and select "Portfolio" before pressing the 'Combine Files' button.

  • Adobe Portfolio in Dropbox

Two problems. I have an Adobe Portfolio file in my Dropbox and I can utilize it on my Apple computers. The problem is that it lacks some funtionality when viewed by someone else 'shareing' the Dropbox folder even though they have Pro installed on their PC.
Second, the Portfolio file does not open at all on my ipad. A pop up ad suggests that I download Reader but I have Reader on the device.

PDF Portfolios have an essential failing. In order to display the fancy preview that makes them appealing, the require Flash Player. If you have Acrobat 9 or X, or Reader 9 or X for Macintosh or Windows, the Flash Player is embedded, and they usually view the way expected.
However, there are many situations where the PDF Portfolio will not display correctly: (1) You have an older version of Acrobat or Reader; (2) You have Acrobat X or Reader X installed and Flash Player is not installed on your computer (no longer is there an built-in Flash player); or (3) you're viewing the PDF Portfolio on an iPad or iPhone because iOS devices have never supported Flash Player.
In some of these situations, you may see a message that you saw: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later." But that is a very misleading message.
In Adobe Reader for iOS just displays the PDFs that included in the PDF Portfolio.
I believe that in the future PDF Portfolios will probably fade away for those reasons.

  • Adobe PDF creation cannot continue because Acrobat not activated

Adobe CS3, Acrobat Professional 8.1.0, Windows XP Pro: CS3 has been working faultlessly for several years. Suddenly, when I try to print using Adobe PDF as printer I get message "Adobe PDF creation cannot continue because Acrobat not activated". To my knowledge all of CS 3 should be activated. InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, etc work fine. I can even open Acrobat 8 and call up documents but I cannot print to it. When I click on "Activation" in Help menu, both "Activate" and "Deactivate" are grayed out. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you should use this tool:
    <http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html>
The tool repairs the license but before using this tool, have you tried re-booting the system just in case this is a temporary problem?  Also, it is a good idea to create a temporary profile and try using the PDF printer to see if it is working.
If it is working in your temporary profile, then this suggests that your preference file might need to be re-created but this is for next time after you have tried using the pdf in your test profile.

  • How to create the Batch Automatically during creation of Production order

    Hi All,
I wanted to create the Batch Automatically for the Specific order type during creation.
Not for all order type so OPKP transction will not work for me.
Please suggest any way or user exit any production order.
    Thanks,
    Amit Shah

    Hi All,
    Thanks for your inputs.
      1. Why we want create the Batch Auto -
For Std Production Order type we want to generate Batch Automatically.
For Re-work Production Order type we don't want Batch Created Auto.
If you have better solution please let me know.
    2.  Scheduling profile.
I think I misunderstood your solution.
You want to say that mainatin the Schd profile in the SPRO with repect to Sub Schdler.
Already client is maintaining the Schd Profile in the Material Master.
please correct me if i am wrong.
    Thanks,

  • Created Adobe Portfolio - now all pdf reload with open

Help! I needed to email 70 pdfs. Instead of putting them all into one large pdf, I used the 'suggestion' in the new Macintosh Acrobat Pro 9 that I use a Pdf Portfolio. ( I used three Portfolios, then emailed them using the "email this portfolio" button that is incorporated into the Portfolio design.)
That worked with mixed results (some of the recipients couldn't open the portfolios, probably because they were using an older version of Acrobat.)
However, the problem I am having is now when I open my Acrobat program, it automatically attempts to load ALL the pdfs from one of the Portfolio. It keeps opening them until it can't open any more. Then I have to force quit.
I looked in the  System file to find a preferences file or something like that in order to throw it out, and hope that the program would rebuild a new one - but I couldn't figure out what might provide the same function. (It's been a while since I looked in a Mac  System  Folder.)
Does anyone have a fix for this?
    Thanks!
    CLShay

Rule number one: NEVER MESS WITH THE SYSTEM FOLDER.
You can mess with the Library folder, you can mess with your USER Library Folder, but if you mess with the SYSTEM FOLDER you will find out that TOAST can refer to more than the ROXIO CD/DVD burning software.
Preference files can be found in Library/Preferences (you will find nothing useful here for you)
There is Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat (nothing useful here either)
Users/username/Library/Adobe/Acrobat (delete as you wish-however you may not like the results)
    Users/username/Library/"Application Support/Aodbe/Acrobat" (nothing useful here)
Users/username/Library/Preferences/Acrobat (this is what you are looking for---delete as necessary)
However, my recommendation is to use a utility like Applejack or Onyx to remove both system and user caches.
