Batch change cell from 12/28/2012 to 2012-28-12 date format

I have imported a long spread sheet and the date column is formated month/day/year. When I select cell format nothing happens. I soon reallized that by chaning the order to year/month/day the formating takes over. How can I apply this to an entire column?
I'm using Numbers 09 version 2.3

Thanks Wayne. I've tried that but nothing happens. In the end I have created a Kludge.
I copy the entire date cell into a new file. I search for "/2010" and replace with blank (nothing). this auto corrects the date and set it to the current year (2013). The date format now works but with the incorrect year. …so I do a search for 2013 and replace with 2010. Copy the column and paste into the original sheet.
Not elegant but it worked.
In the end I thing there must be something wrong with the cell that was blocking the date formatting. - just a guess.

Batch change dpi from 72 to 300 and export as jpg

Hi All,
I have searched high and low, and have yet to find a script that will accomplish this task. I am in need of a script that will change Illustrator's default 72 dpi, to 300 dpi so I can print a series of (about 200) respectable looking images. They also need to be exported to jpg.
Is this possible to do in batch?
I have tried countless approaches. The closest I have come is using Graphic Converter Pro, unfortunately it cannot change the dpi from 72 to 300 (as far as I could tell). Any help is greatly appreciated. I have access to Mac OS and Windows. I've been trying to tackle this for quite some time. Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your responses. I do have Photoshop. What I am trying to do is take about 100 .ai files and export them to .jpg. However, they are going to be printed, and any sort of batch export as .jpg I have tried so far has resulted in substantial resolution (72 dpi). I am well aware of how to change the resolution for exporting each file individually, however what I want to do is batch the whole process together. I will try the resizing approach. Batch change in Photos?

Seems like Apple has gotten rid of the "batch change" feature from iPhoto when moving to Photos. I liked using the "batch change" feature to change the "description" for several photos at once. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished in the new Photos app (which doesn't include pasting a sentence 200 times)...

To batch change the description of selected photos to the same title you could try a simple Apple Script and run it with Automator.
Create an Automator action, that prompts you for the new title and executes an Apple Script to change the titles to the name you entered:

Save this workflow with a suitable name. It will be installed in the services.
Now quit Photos, if it is running and launch Photos again and select a few test images.
Open the "Photos" Menu > Services".
The service should be shown in the menu - I saved my version as "BatchChangeDescription".
Select the service to let it run.
You will be prompted to enter a new description for the selected photos.
When you click the selected photos again, the titles should change.

Batch change errors

My batch change is having issues. It does not put the date change accurately. I'm putting the date I want in and when I apply the change it is putting a minus in front of the year, or putting 08 instead of 2009. I am able to batch change titles.
It is very odd, and I would appreciate help with this issue.

This has come up before but I can’t find any of the threads where it has been discussed. To the best of my recollection this is caused by some setting in the Formats of the Date and Time pane in SystemPreferences. It may have something to do with a different date format being used on your camera from the one on the Mac. More than that I’m afraid, I cannot recall. Hopefully that will give you some help to start searching.

Change the date format from mm/dd to dd/mm

Is there any way to change the date format? Currently, my today screen, calendar app, etc is set to display dates as mm/dd. I'd like to change it to the UK format (dd/mm) but I have not been able to find a single method that works. I've tried themes as some have recommended but once I install them, it's still showing mm/dd.
I'm not unfamiliar with upgrading the OS and "slimming" it down, so even a method that requires me to remove US resource files will be okay.
Frankly I'm disappointed RIM doesn't provide users with a "Regional Settings" type option like in Windows to change the date format.
Any advice would be most appriciated.

Yes you can change Date format from mm/dd to dd/mm its done automatically by " Display language " selected :
Go to Menu : Setup - choose - Language and Input Methods - look for " Display Language" there is a small window with down arrow , click the down arrow and , change from " English" to " English (UK) "for DD / MM ,date format , or change to " English (US) " for MM / DD date format.

I just did a batch change and every pic in the event now has same date/time although the event spans several days. Seems like a 'no brainer' to me for a computer to apply this same delta to all pics - but I'm not a computer guy. Thanks in advance!

Yes what you want is adjust date and time - just above batch change in the photos menu -- select a group of photos and the entire group will be adjusted by the delta of the first one
You have the option of modifying the original which I usually recommend
Since you have already changed the dates and times on some of the photos you want to adjust you may need to go back to a backup of them prior to having their information changed - depends on if you modified the originals or not

Right click on any cell of excel-->selct FORMAT CELL...>NUMBER(tab)---> Select Date category and Right side select
required date format.

By default the date formats in web dynpro applications changes with the locale. For the locale US, the date format comes with the seperator '/ ' for German with '.'.
But we need to have the seperator '.' for all locales. Where can this standard setting be changed?

N000295, I am afraid you will have to start all over again. There is no way to change the year of the already created photo calender.

Changing Batch Management Level from Material to Plant

Hi all,
We are investigating changing our batch management level from material to plant to meet business requirements.
SAP has pointed us to a note with a program to reset the batch level, as well as highlighting some things to look out for.
I've conducted the change in a playpen system and so far it looks relatively straightforward, with complexities arising only when characteristics exist, or when a batch exists in multiple plants.
Seems that batch master data is moved from MCH1 to MCHA, including the object link number to classification. Unfortunately it seems a limitation of the conversion is that the batch master data is copied to ONE plant only in MCHA, no doubt due to the fact the object number link to classification must be unique.
My question is this: has anyone performed this change before, and if so can you offer me any advice on what to look out for, or potential problems that arose after the change?
Any help or comments are appreciated.

first of all try this simple one...
You will have to delete all the materials, remove stock and then switch the batch management flag.

To convert the batch from plant level to material there is Conversion Program defind by the SAP...
1. For all releases lower than Release 4.5B, implement the corrections and the modification in the report RM07CHDX as described in the correction instructions.
2. Create the report ZCHTCUCH, which is specified in the attachment.
3. Run this report in the clients for which you want to reset batch level to plant level.
4. Call transaction OMCT.
5. Check whether the batch level for "Batch unique at plant level" is set.
6. Implement Notes 821891, 944278, 950540 and 1091613 if you have not already done so (or you have not imported the corresponding Support Package).
7. Execute the function "Batch Level -> Conversion".
8. Define a plant for a plant view that may be missing.
9. Always execute the report in the test mode first. Analyze the error log.
10. If no errors occur, you can execute the report in production mode.
11. If you are working with batch long texts, first execute the report ZM07CHDX_TEXT in test mode.

Well if you haven't already read it two or three times the User manual is really very good. Apple really did a nice job with it. The on-line version is nice because it is searchable.
After that the Apple Pro Training Series book Aperture 3 is very useful. Its basically split into three parts. The library, adjustments and sharing. In addition if you get all the way through it you can take the Certification test and become, well certified.
Rwboyer who posts here on and off has a good site and a couple of ebooks that I found useful.

Try something like this:
1. Drop a Table. By default it has three columns.
2. Drop a button inside the third column. Set its id property to buttonInColumn3, and set its rendered property to false.
3. Drop another button, this time outside the table. Set its id property to buttonOutsideTable.
4. Double-click the buttonOutsideTable and make the method look as follows:
