Batch Command Warning Dialog

Hello All
I've set-up an action to resize a folder of photos.  Recorded the action, all is good.  I go to AUTOMATE > BATCH and go through the set-ups, etc., but when I activate the run, I keep getting this warning dialog:
"Could not complete the Batch command because the disk is not available".
At first I thought it may be looking for the SD card the photos were copied from, but that's not the case as I have imported all the photos and they now reside on the HD.  I've tried restarting Photoshop and even restarting the system - both to no avail.
Any idea as to what this dialog is referring to?
Running :
Photoshop CC
27" Late 2013 iMac
3.5 GHz Intel i7
16 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Graphics
OSX 10.9.1
Any help would be MOST appreciated!!
Keith

If all your doing is resizing image to fit within some size you don't even need an action unless you replacing the original files which is not a good idea in any case. For if something goes wrong you could wind up loose everything.
Use menu File Scripts>Image Processor.  In the Image Processor Dialog point to the source folder set the output locarion set image file types yoo want to save and the size and option. You can even include actions.
There is also Image Processor Pro a free download which is a more powerful script.

  • InDesign CS5 crashes when trying to export a PDF and/or a Warning dialog box appears!

Just bought a new macbook pro 15" non retina the other day and the SAME version of InDesign CS5 that was running on my 2010 iMac is now crashing each time I get a Warning dialog box and/or try exporting a PDF?!??!?! How was this NOT an issue before and now is??? Running the same Lion 10.7.4 as well....
Holding the alt key while deleting a page does help it not prompt the warning dialog box, but no help to exporting a pdf...
So guessing this is a Apple issue and we need an update or??
I am only using Fontbook and have NOT even added any new fonts yet, practically bare bones mac still with just CS5...
What is also weird is that the warning dialog boxes are always BLANK and have no text on them, like there is a font issue??
I've cleared the system font cache, reset InDesign prefs, reset PRAM and NVRAM, re-installed InDesign and updated to 7.0.4...
This is madness....please help me in the name of all that is good.
    Crash:

    figured it out:
    - power off mac and turn back on while holding down Command + R (dont do it on an external keyboard just to be safe)
    - choose the re-install Lion option (I'm sure there is another way to re-install Lion, this is just the way I did it, not saying its the best or only method)
    - DO NOT INSTALL MACBOOK (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 - THIS SCREWS ADOBE UP!

  • "Security Warning" dialog box when click script set to Run at Server

I am rendering a PDF form using the renderForm component.  I'm setting the Target URL.  I have a script on a button set to "run at server".  I can render my form in a browser and fill it out, but when I click the button I get a dialog box with a title of "Security Warning".  It says "Acrobat is attempting to connect to [target URL]" with options to Allow or Block.  Is this the expected behaviour for server-side execution of scripts?
I'm thinking that maybe I should just use a submit button instead.  The problem with that though, is that I don't want to run the mandatory field rules and validation rules.  As I understand, you can't submit a form with a submit button unless all the mandatory fields are completed.
Here's the requirement.  I need to have two "submit" buttons.  One checks all the mandatory field rules before submitting a "final" version of the form.  The other button submits a "draft" version without the mandatory checks.  I was hoping that the second button could be implemented as a normal command button with a script that executes server-side.  Sure enough, it attempted to submit without checking the mandatory fields.  Unfortunately I ran into other undesirable side-effects including a distressing "Security Warning" dialog box.
    Ideas?

  • Batch command unavailable

Suddenly when I select multiple images in Bridge, then go to Tools>Photoshop>Batch, I get the message "The command "Batch" is currently unavailable."  Batch is also greyed out in Automate.  This occurs when no other processes are happening.  What could  it be?  Batch command has always worked fine in the past.

So File > Automate > Batch in Photshop is greyed out?
And would you mind providing the relevant information about your set-up (Photoshop-version, OS etc.)?
    Boilerplate-text:
Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by pressing command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift while starting Photoshop until the appropriate dialog appears after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, cleaning caches, font validation, etc.)

  • Batch command not closing files automatically

    Hi,
    Photoshop CS6
    Windows 7
How do you make Photoshop automatically save and close a batch of raw files during batch runs?
I'm just now trying the File>Automate>Batch command. I want to run an action on a bunch of .NEF raw files.
How do you get rid of all the dialogs and just make the thing do the action? i.e., just OpenTheRawFile>RunTheAction>SaveAndClose>DoTheNextFile
First it opened them all up one by one in Camera Raw and the ACR window stayed open until I clicked Open Image. So I checked Suppress File Open Options Dialog in the Batch command. That fixed that problem. But Batch left all the files open in Photoshop, didn't close any of them.
So I went back into my action and added a file close. While recording the action I clicked Yes to save changes before closing the file.
However, the batch now pops up that same dialog box after each file asking me if I want to save the file before exiting. This defeats the whole purpose of the Batch command.

Do not use Batch, use one of the available Image Processor scripts instead.  If your RAW files have been converted before and have associated ACR setting, The RAW files will be converted  using these settings by ACR and ACR will bypass displaying its dialog. If the RAW files have no associated ACR settings the Image Processor scripts have an option that you can use to have the Image Processor open the first RAW file via ACR  where ACR will open its dialog. The settings you set will be used to convert all the RAW files processed in the current run of the Image Processor.
Image Processor Pro is available on the web for downloading and is more flexible and powerful then the Image Processor that is shipped with Photoshop. You can set it up to save as many Image File for each file processed. The size and File Type you need.
You can have the Image Processor Pro include in its process an action you create for file that are saved. It can be the same action or different action for each of the file save you set up.

  • Warning Dialog in Preferences

I'm trying to restore the warning dialogs but the option is greyed out. Any idea why?
Several times now I've inadvertantly changed a setting on MANY images instead of just one because I did not realilze that they were all highlightd. Hence I'd like to turn on the presumably available warning so I don't @#$% myself again.
    thanks, Beata

If it's greyed out, that should mean that all warnings are currently enabled. Are you sure the commands you want to get warned about actually do warn you?
You could try doing something that warns you, and disabling the resulting warning, and then the "Reset All Warning Dialogs" option should become enabled, to verify this.

  • InDesign CS5 Crashes with Warning Dialog Box

    Hello,
    Facts:
    InDesign CS5, v7.0.4
    OS X 10.7.4
    No third-party font-management application running.
    Macbook Pro (June, 2012)
InDesign crashes in these two instances:
    1. Trying to delete a page that has content. Right as the warning box comes up, it shows up without content (just the "Warning" title) and crashes.
    2. When packaging a file, as it's about to warn you about the perils of archiving fonts it does the same thing as above, and crashes.
Tried the alt-opt-cmd-shift trick to reboot preferences and nothing.
Tried deleting the two preference files directly so that they would rebuild and nothing.
Interestingly, I have another computer running OS 10.7.3 (as opposed to 10.7.4 on the crashy one) and the same InDesign CS5 7.0.4 and that one works perfectly.
    Ideas? Leads?
    Thanks
    Armin

After 2 days straight, I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! I was trying everything, especially related to font book and fonts and resetting prefs, etc...
I narrowed it down to 1 constant variable: it's happening on the 2012 macbook's, so I reset my mac and held command + R and re-installed Lion, then I DID NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE FOR THE MACBOOK 2012. Then I tried exporting a smallest file size pdf with overset text and also tried deleting a page with an object on it and BAM! No blank warning dialog and even more importantly: NO MORE CRASHES!!! Hey, I might not lose all my clients afterall!
got the good ol' warning box we all love and missed:
    Again:
    - power off mac and turn back on while holding down Command + R (dont do it on an external keyboard just to be safe)
    - choose the re-install Lion option (I'm sure there is another way to re-install Lion, this is just the way I did it, not saying its the best or only method)
    - DO NOT INSTALL MACBOOK (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 - THIS SCREWS ADOBE UP!
After you guys try this please let us know how your system is operating, I am noticing my macbook pro is so slow and when trying to send an email and choosing an email to reply to and attach something,etc.. each click triggers the beachball and I gotta wait a few moments..?? I'm sure we might be missing out on some good updates from not updating to the 1.0 software update....but....
    So my final question is:
is this Apple's problem or Adobe's and who needs to do what here??? Why can't we all get along...

  • Problem with OAException Warning Dialog

We have developed a custon page for AME. The page has 3 tabs with each tab page having search option. The results of the search are displayed in an advanced table. We have provided Delete functionality also. The delete is working fine for 1st 10 records of advanced table but it fails for next records that is once we click next(advanced table) and try to delete.
For delete we have shown a warning using Standard OA Exception warning dialog. If we remove this dialog it works fine. There is some issue with Dialog Page.
    Can we resolve this issue?

    Thanks for the reply..
What i have done for deletion is that i am retaining the rowid. Please check the code.

  • Adding a Warning dialog box when submit button click

Having troubles figuring out how to add a warning dialog when user click submit asking if he would like to proceed if a column field is null.

Umm is it possible to do this with validation on submit and cancel the process mid way. if they hit cancel.
Because data may be deleted in the database or change if i don't do it upon submit.
E.G i kind of want to achieve something like this but i'm very unsure if it's even possible call a validation?
    boolean isValid
    isValid = call validation_name
    If isValid = false THEN
    javascript:if(confirm('Are you sure?')){doSubmit('P5_SUBMIT');}
    else
    javascript:doSubmit('P5_SUBMIT');
END IF;Edited by: PandaOracle on Jan 24, 2012 10:19 AM

  • How To hide warning dialog?

    Hi.
In my routine I need to substract mask. but when it's impossible the warning dialog is shown (Warning: no pixels were selected).
    I call
    error = sPSActionControl->Play(&result, eventSubtractFrom, desc.get(), plugInDialogSilent);
plugInDialogSilent /**< Never present a dialog; use only descriptor information; if the information
is insufficient to run the plug-in, the plug-in should return an
error in the \c errorString field of the plug-ins parameter block. */
How can I hide this message?

Did you find a way to do this?
I have a new problem with my automation plugin. I open a file using the eventOpen (and plugInDialogSilent) and after the plugin has open the image (o while it's opening it) photoshop displays the warning "This document may be damaged (the file may be truncated or incomplete).  Continue?" (the image is corrupt most of the times). If it had returned an error, in the play action call, I would have caught it and taken action, but it waits for user input (ok on the dialog) and I don't get back the control.
    Please some help?

  • XI to Batch Command Scenario

    Hi All,
My scenario is SAP to XI to Batch Command.
The receiver system is a listening port system where it receives data at the port. Currently XI is not the middleware. So the communication happens through EXE. It happens as follows:
    1. exe sends a wake up call to Batch Command.
    2. Command Batch sends an acknowledgement to exe that it is ready to receive data
    3. Now exe sends data to CB.
    4. CB sends Ack for data
    5. exe sends a sleep call to CB to close connection
    6. Cb sends Ack back to exe.
Now exe has to be replaced with XI , so is this set of Communication possible through XI in the same scenario? If yes , then How.
If no what can be the solution.
Also will the Standard adapters in XI serve the purpose for Command Batch since it is not any File system , but it receives data at the port or will Custom adapter will have to be developed for this purpose.
    Please help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Loveena.

That sounds like a proprietary TCP/IP handshake.
There is no way besides own development of Java code.
You could develop an adapter or a Java proxy for this purpose.
The better option is, replcing the batch command with an HTTP or Webservice enabled program and use standard PI functionality.

I don't think so. I believe your server.xml or your web.xml file is malformed. This means that the DTD that the container validates the file against is not in agreement with the XML you created. See if you can start commenting out elements in your web.xml until the server starts properly to zero in on the problem. Or, if you are comfortable reading DTD's, go straight there to find out the problem.

  • Batch command to auto login

We are using Sony MBPS and it has to be rebooted every month.  We have automated much of it using batch files but we would like to further automate it.  Is there a batch command to trigger an automatic login of the servers?

Automatic logon can be configured through registry:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231/en-us
The article mentions Windows XP, but it is valid for all later versions of Windows. This is how we do it. We deploy the registry keys through group policy to the machines that need automatic login.
