Batch converting music from 440Hz to 432Hz

Hi Group,
I recently downloaded Adobe Audition trial version and I like this product enough to purchase if it can support the following;
I have 25000 songs on a windows PC and I want to batch convert from 440 hz to 432 hz.  I can convert each song individually and the quality is perfect but it requires my attention every 5 minutes.  Thank you in advance for your support.
Regards,
Jay

You can save your pitch changes settings as a Favourite by clicking on the star icon in the Pitch Shifter effect and giving it a name. You can then apply this favourite to files added to the Batch Process pane. I believe that some people have hit a limit with the number of files you can successfully add to the Batch Process so you won't be able to do all yours at once. But it should be OK with smaller batches. So give it a whirl whilst your Audition trial is still active.

Note that this does not change the iTunes account of these songs. This simply adds them to the iTunes library you are using.
Also note than once you do this, you will have to wait 90 days to redownload any iTunes purchases from any other iTunes account, including the original iTunes account.
It is possible to transfer itunes music from one account to another!
    No it is not!

  • CONVERTING MUSIC FROM ORIGINAL CDS (problem)

Hi I'm wondering why when i convert music from original cds to my phone that the sound only comes out of one speaker??? is there a way to resolve this?? downloaded and mp3 music works fine with great sound.
    Thanx

Why don't you try this way:
    - download and install iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    - Check in Preferences-->Extended (i believe)-->Import that AAC is selected
    - rip your Audio CD via "Import CD" command
    - sync with Nokia and play
If you do not hear stereo, then something is really wrong

  • How to batch convert music?

    Hey everybody!
    Just a quick question here
How do you batch convert your library completely to Mp3 or completely to AAC? I have a library full of different bitrate mp3s and aacs and i wanted them to be completely uniform. Any ideas oh how to do this? DO you know a progam that does it for you?
    Thanks
    -Alex

I just completed this very task on my entire library. I did a batch convert on all my mp3 files to AAC. First I sorted my library by "kind." Then I selected all my mp3 files, right clicked (control click), and hit convert to AAC.
When It was finished I removed the mp3's from my library and was left with an beautiful AAC collection.
You have to set the AAC encoder options before you hit convert or it will default to 128. If that's what you want then go for it!

  • Using Aperture to batch convert images from tiff to jpeg

    Hi there
My first question - here goes:
I wish to batch convert several thousand tiffs (of various sizes) to a standardised jpeg (A4 @ 300dpi). I'm looking for software to automate this process as much as possible; ideally, it would search designated folders and place the new jpegs in a (matching) new folder structure.
Would Aperture be suitable for this, or should I consider Adobe Lightroom (or other)?
    Many thanks
    BR

    No filters.
Solution I used was to create new project. Copy images to it. Delete old project.
Aperture would not let me copy images from old albums to old project.

Wanting to convert music accumulated over the years on reel to reel and

You need Audacity, or something like it. If your iMac doesn't sport a line-in port then you'll also need a USB audio interface of some kind.

  • Converting music From PC to Mac

I bought a 100gb external hard drive in hopes of sharing my music from my pc to my new mac book pro. I want to use the hard to back up my music from my workhorse pc and be able to play it through itunes on my mac.
Will the songs be able to play through itunes automaticaly once I plug the external hard drive in if it is formated in FAT32?
    Jon

So I assume the external HD will show up in the left panel like the ipod where I can choose songs out of that library.
Also when you do use the ipod between machines will the manual upload setting be set on the ipod or do those settings stay differentiated between the two machines. For example if I want the songs to download automaticaly on the pc and plug the ipod into the mac I dont want to mac to automaticaly download its library on the ipod. (which would be alot less songs.)
    thanks, jon

  • Converting Music from Tape Cassette to CD

    Hello everyone -
I have music on many audio cassette tapes that I used to play in my old car. But my new car has CD only - no tape player. So I would like to make CD versions of those tapes. How do I do that?
I do have a separate VCR-to-DVD converter/burner, but nothing for audio cassettes. I would assume I could burn a DVD, then read it into my MAC and have Toast burn it back out on a CD - but that is cumbersome and I would somehow have to make my little audio cassette readable by a VCR reader. Is there an adapter which makes an audio cassette playable into a VCR reader??
I have looked for a tape player (read "boom box") with separate audio outputs which I could feed into the DVD burner, but have not found one.
Assuming there is an adaptor or a boom box with audio outputs out there somewhere, would that be my only alternative? Or is there some device that I could feed directly into my 7-year old G4 tower?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Here are some articles with ideas of how you can proceed. Some of them will, naturally, overlap, but by the time you are done reading you should have a pretty good idea of what you need to do. If you still have questions, you can then post back with them and we will see if we can answer them.

  • Convert music from USB-drive to iTunes on a new iMac

Hi, I just got a new iMac, and I used Windows before.
I have a lot of Music on a USB-drive and I want to know how to convert it to iTunes.
Should I just drag and drop it to iTunes? or should I create a folder on the mac, move the files to the folder and then drag it to iTunes (like Windows)
    Thanks for the help!

Open the iTunes preferences and check to see whether it's set to copy files to the iTunes Media folder when they're added to the library. If so, just dragging it to iTunes is enough.
Note that the Mac OS X version of iTunes won't import unprotected WMA music.

  • CS3: Any way to Batch convert files from different directories?

Using CS3. I want to open a bunch of TIF files and re-save using different file options. The only way I know to do this is with File > Automate > Batch. But that only works if the destination folder for all files is the same. It's not.
Ideally I would not need to first open the files in Photoshop. Perhaps something with Bridge will work. Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor looks promising. There's even an option called "Save in same location", which does not do what it says so is totally useless.

    >Bridge and Finder. They might both be running, but they are two programs that aren't Photoshop to do one simple thing Photoshop should do already by version 11.
The whole point is that Bridge is supposed to be used as an integral part of the CS4 SUITE.
I keep Bridge CS4 running at ALL times (it uses a minute amount of resources when it is just in standby mode) and I consider it to be an essential adjunct to Photoshop particularly if you deal with digital camera files.
I use its "Get Photos from Camera" to download from my card reader in preference to Nikon's download program; and I open whole batches of RAW files for processing in Bridge-hosted ACR 5.2.
ACR 5.2 also handles scanned Tiffs and JPEGs.
And I use Bridge to output Web Galleries; attach files to e-mails; collect aliases of all the files of any kind (and from any folder) that are needed for a particular project into a single Collection: and generally to organize file storage throughout my System.
The only thing that I can't yet do directly from Bridge is to burn a Collection to a CD or DVD.
Hopefully, someone like David Franzen will create a Script to do that too?

  • Converting Music from Sony Sonic Stage to Itunes

Hi I already have my music stored on the PC in ATRAC format with Sony Sonic Stage Software and would like to know how to read or copy the files to the ITUNES format?

You'll need to try and track down software that will convert ATRAC files to an iTunes friendly format such as MP3. iTunes won't read or convert ATRAC files itself as they are a format which is proprietary to Sony.

  • How do I batch convert files from pdf to pdf/a

My company is scanning a bunch of old documents and wants to store the files as both pdf and pdf/a.  Many of the files have already been scanned as pdf, is it possible to convert them en mass to pdf/a?  Or must we continue to do them one at a time?

XI Pro is better, the algorithm that fixes a PDF so it passes the compliance check is better. Not foolproof but much more likely to succeed than the one in Acrobat X.
As Test Screen Name says you can automate saving to the untagged versions of PDF/A (such as PDF/A-1b) using an Action, simply by creating a new 'empty' action and changing the Save step options. In most cases it'll work, but if the input file is wildly out of compliance it can still throw an error. The biggest problems tend to originate with font embedding and when the PDF has comments applied.
PDF/A versions with tagging (e.g. PDF/A-1a) are horrendous to create after the fact as you will almost certainly be hit with a long list of things you have to manually correct. Acrobat can't automate the fixes this time as it has no way to understand the semantics of each page. It's very strongly advised that those types of file are created directly in the authoring application (though Adobe has yet to implement that idea in InDesign, you can do it in MS Office).

  • Batch convert tracks from 440 to 442, how?

    Hi,
I'm a piano/vocalist playing along to backing tracks that I make using synths and vsti's, these are all done at 440hz.
I've come to do a job where the piano is tuned to 442hz, it's been recommended to me to change all my tracks (over 400 of them) to 442.
Is it possible in compressor and how would I do it?
I've only seen the options of format not actual tuning, and I'm not sure how to get it to 442.
    Thanks
    C.
