Batch derivation for recursive bom

hello,
anybody please help me. when iam doing batch derivation for recursive BOM its not working. my recipent batch no is alo coming in sender batch no. its doing deling between sender batch no and recipent batch no. how can i solve this issue.

Bigger problem in your case is not multiple Batches of RM but more then one Batch No. of Header Material in single production Order.I guess in your case Batch No. are triggered at the time of GR and not in Production Order at the time of Release.Correct?
But up to my knowledge Batch Derivation is triggered at the time of Batch Creation in Production order.For which you have to first carried out Batch Derivation of sender Material.But in your cases the scenario is totally different due to Batch is created at the time of GR.So Difficult one and can be possible if you go with 1 Batch for 1 prod. order.

    This message was sent to us by SAP when we were having the same kind of requirement. Hope it will help you too.
    Usage Probability
    Material requirements planning (MRP) plans the alternative items according to usage probability.
    If you use the usage probability to determine the withdrawal posting (strategy 1), the quantities are proposed according to the usage probability. You can change the proposed quantities.
    An alternative item is only planned if the usage probability is at least 1%.
    If the usage probability is 0%, a dependent requirement with quantity
    0 is generated for the material.
    The component with the quantity 0 is displayed in the planned order.
    If required you can increase the quantity there.
    It is possible to plan too much for alternative items, because you can enter usage probabilities that add up to more than 100%.

    Let us say, a material (ROH) has so many batches as A,B,C & D. Whenever we create a new process order, system has to pick only the particular batch( say -C here)  in the process order BOM through batch determination.  (during process order creation stage)
    1.How to achieve the same ?
    2. What are the ways are there to achieve the same ?
    3.Is there any Exit for this?

( Because there are so many material without MM-classification view.....and client wants without extending the Classification view for MM master as it suggests same batch for all GI for delivery & GR for purchase.....)...We want only for process order batch determination.....
    2. Is there any exit for this ?
    3. Is it possible through any kind of Characteristic assignment in the Sort sequence? How?

  • System ask for recursive BOM

    To SAP GURU,
    I have 1 problem in master ecipre .I have  halb( SFG-1 ) which is having 2 halbs ( SFG-2 & SFG-3 ). Again  this 2 halb is having their multilevel bom .respectvely .SFG-2 is having co product ( Co po -1 ) which is again input in SFG-1 .
    Now when i am saving recipe of SFG-1 system ask me that SFG-2 mat code is recursive & for also co product system ask me about recursive .Now unless & untill i will click on recursive allowed system dont allow me to save the recipe .Even if i saved recipe by clicking on recursive allowed in mrp run system not explode the BOM of SFG-2 .
    Only when header material is used in bom compnent then only bom will be recursive but in my case even if i have not used header material in any of my bom component  still system ask me abaut recursive ..So can u tell me is i am missing some where or some solution is their Now i am trying to solvr it by SAP notwes 161742.( Or any latest SAP note is available )
    Please tell me is their any valid solution .

    Sanil,
    what ever you mentioned is true , the only problem you are facing error is related to BOM level.
    SFG-2 and its co product ( Co po -1 ) you are putting in same BOM level ( ie in the BOM of SFG-1 )thats why you are getting this error.
    as Co Po-1 will be produced after the production of SFG-2 so it can be at lower level where SFG-2 is maintained.
    Think on it , its logiocaly correct , your co product can be produced before your main product.
    Check out and revert back.

  • Batch derivation in goods receipt for production order

    i have set up batch derivation for the event 'goods receipt for production order'. The field derived is HSDAT (date of manufacture) /minimum. Although in the batch derivation monitor I can see tha the derivation was performed OK and the correct date (oldest of the components) is selected the field in the Batch is not updated. Can anyone help??

    Your problem sounds like derivation type issue.
    Please check your derivation type to be static for the 400 event.

  • Batch derivation in subcontracting process

    Hello experts
    I ask for your help on the following point:
    I subcontract packaging operation of a product managed by batch to an external vendor.
    The bulk (component) I send to the vendor is also managed by batch.
    I use batch derivation for transferring batch data from the bulk batch to the packed product batch.
    I manage to do it with the manual batch derivation.
    However I would like to create a derivation event to make automatic this process.
    Is it possible to create new derivation event and associate it to "Good receipt for purchase order" event ? to the movement 101 or 543 ?

    Batch derivation consists in transferring values of class characteristics of a sender batch to receiver batch.
    This copy of results may be triggered automatically by the system during a manufacturing flow (event = good receipt on process/production order).
    However I am looking forward to know if it is possible to do so at good receipt on subcontracting order ?

    Configuration requirements
    1.         Batch derivation functionality need to be active
    2.         Derivation required option: Automatic for production order release, and manual derivation in case of change
    Master data requirements:
    1.         Recipient / sender condition records
    2.         Characteristics maintenance of sender and receiving material
    3.         Class assignment to finished product
    Activate Batch Derivation
    1.         Define batch derivation, Activation of batch derivation (Transaction: DVSP)
    2.         Define derivation events
    3.         Create batch derivation for Release process / production order Manual derivation (Optional)
    4.         Maintain number range for derivation number (Transaction: DVC1)
    Number ranges has to be configured manually in each client
    Master data setup
    1.         Maintain the classification of receiving material and sending material
    2.         Ensure that the copying characteristic/s exists in both the classes of sending material and receiving class
    3.         Maintain the master data for the following
    a.         Recipient / sender condition records (DVR1/DVS1)
    b.         characteristics maintenance of sender and receiving material
    c.         class assignment to finished product
    Transaction:
    1.         Production order release (CO01)
    2.         DVMAN u2013 Manual derivation

    Dear All,
    I want to do LSMW for Creating BOM using Batch Input Recording,
    I know that i have to make 2 time Recording, first for the BOM Header and second for the BOM item
    For the BOM header i have done it, but for the BOM item i got some trouble with the item number (POSNR),
    when i run the LSMW, for the first item (item 0010) was success, but for the item 0020, it can't work and i got error
    message " NO BATCH INPUT FOR SAPLCSDI 0150"
    How is the recording step by step for BOM Item so the Item number can increase well?

    I already check in SM35 where i also thought that the main problem is about adding the new item number,
    but when i tried to do repeat recording, i can not find any entry for adding the line item, so the line item after 0010 cannot be input

    Dear PP Expert.
    Is it possible to maintain batch number for valuation type in BOM item detail ? My requirement is for example in bom item 10, component A is maintained with batch number for valuation type so that in production order batch number field automatically filled.
    Fyi i have tried user exit :  Enhancement for BOM item: PCSD0002. Here we can maintain valuation type for component in item detail in customer tab. But unfortunately valuation type here is not link with batch number for valuation type in Production order.

    Let me describe it more specific, I have two material FG and SFG. Material FG is maintained with valuation type so when we do goods receipt for SFG it's asked to input valuation type in batch field. In stock SFG material qty is separated for each valuation type like batch.
    Now i want to maintain in BOM for FG, where component SFG has fix the valuation type / batch so that in production order we don't have to choose manually. Do you have any idea ?

    Hi ,
    I am developing a conversion program to upload the class and characteristics to a BOM item . The class type is a custom class which needs to be assigned to the BOM item along with the class and characteristics value . Is there any FM/Bapi which can create the classtype for the BOM item and assign the class and values . I have tried with the FM 'BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE' but was not successful.     I am still not clear on the stock part. Yes in classification you can maintain thickness as one characteristic.
    I take the example of a bar which has say thickness 100 mm, now you have 4 such bars. If I reduce the thickness of one bar from 100mm to say 75mm, another to 80mm, what will you maintain in the classification for thickness characteristic? Also what will the stock report show? Are you working with batch management for this?
    If the need is to just capture the costs of this activity, yes you can do this by creating an indirect order via CO07.

    I'm trying to simulate the batch derivation functionality but couldn't get it work. I have used both manual and release production order derivation events.
    Necessary configuration is setup including batch where used list and related derivation configuration.
    I have setup the condition records as follows (it is based on pull derivation; 1 receiver and n sender)
    For sender condition, I have condition record based on receiving + sending material combination, in which I defined two sending materials (both HALB) along with the receiving material (FERT). VFDAT (SLED) is my field attribute.
    For recipient condition, I have condition record based on material number, which is the same FERT material. VFDAT (SLED) is my field attribute and standard rules have been maintained.
    Both HALB materials have batches with VFDAT (SLED) dates.
    For manual derivation, I created a batch for the FERT without any VFDAT data in it and I'm trying to run DVMAN transaction for this FERT batch to invoke derivation, but it errors with two messages "No sender found for attribute VFDAT" & "The system did not find any sending batches".
    I tried using a production order release as well, but it's the same problem.
    Any thoughts as to why it is not working??
