Batch determination Problem in process orders
Dear Friends,
i am getting problem of BD for components in process order that the FIFO sequence is not
showing.
!. I have made settings like Strategy Plant/order type
2. Charecteristic in the class and sort rule LOBM_VFDAT
3. Class assigned to materials.
4. raw materials batches have maintained Ex.date, date of produced(at the time of GR by 561)
5. Order type i have assined search Proc.
in the order strategy info showing sort rule correctly in theprocess order, But the sequence it showing
is neither with GRn date or not with Exp date.
kindly guess what might be the problem...

Dear,
For FIFO you can use the Characteristic LOBM_LFDAT for FIFO if is LOBM_VFDAT then in plant storage data 1 view maintain the SELD then assign these Characteristic to class in CL02 then assign this calss to material master.
Then craete sort rule in CU70 withCharacteristic LOBM_LFDAT or LOBM_VFDAT
then assign it to serch strategy in MBC1 or COB1 with selction criatoria.
In OPL8 assign this serch procedure.
Then create the order and check the result.

Dear Gurus,
We are facing issue in auto batch determination in process order (Material quantity calculation ).
eg Material X is active material 200 KIA used in BOM as
10 X 200 KIA
20 Y 10 Filler
30 Z
40 X 200 KIA
50 Y
60 Z
We select line item 10 and 40 and do Batch determination system proposes 2 batches for line item 10 as Batch A and B
and for line 40 again Batch A (with 0.01 KIA) and batch B proposed which is wrong.
For line Item 10 Batch A and B
For line Item 40 Batch B and C or as per FIFO logic.
As Batch A should be consumed in Line item 10 then it proposed Batch B and so on....
We have already maintain data in COB1.
Can any body explain what is wrong in determination.

Error in manual batch determination while creating process order

please open this prd order in change mode CO02 then press tab button cost calculation near release button in order header screen now do not save this order go to edit >log> cost calculation
There it will show the error tht occured during costing

i am not able to delete the component in the materials overview after the batch allocation done by batch determination rather giving batch manually.
i.e if i give batch directly in the batch field i can able to delete that entire component row, but if do batch determination for that component once its done i can't able to delete.

Batch determination configuration for process order.
Hi,
Can anybody help me to configure batch determination for process order in step by step.
My requirement is
1. multiple selection of component in process order.
2. click on batch determination icon.
3. system will check batch, valuation type, stock. Assign batch,valuation type, storage location automatically in the process order confirmation(COR6N)-Goods movement tab.

Batch not updated in process order
hi all,
When i am doing batch determination and goods issue through coik pick list batch not update in process order. presently we are not doing batch determination in process order.after goods issue component batch fields are grey out in the process orderHY,
Batch field are filled only if you do Batch determiantion of components whether it is by auto or manual.And it is logical also becasue if you split the material qty. in more than one batches during goods issue( whether it is in COIK or in COR6N)then think what should be the case in Component screen in process order?
As soon as you complete the Goods Issue This field becomes gray but the filled of Quanity withdrawn is update with qty you have withdraw.

When i am creating process order at the time system not allowing me to execute batch determaination after release only it is allowing me to do.
My requirement is At the time of order creation i want assign batches ( Execute Batch Detrmination)for the material.

s.sakthivelCraig- you are correct. That setting is about how to create a batch for the Material produced , does not have any impact on the batch determination for the raw materials consumed.
I dont think there is a way to do the batch determination before releasing the order. The other option isto go for the automatic release of the order at creation - this option will carry out the batch determination automatically once an oder is created and order will be released. check with PP consultant on this.

i have made all settings that necessary for batch determination for components in process order, from condtion table to search strategy(COB1), but when i am doing BD for componets in process order, the sorting rule and selection class is not picking as procedure automatically. If i select startegy Info and select the same then BD is working fine.
Can you give idea the where any setting is missing?

Have you maintain Batch Determination Procedure in your Order Type dependnent paramter (T.code COR4).Also for auto batch determination you have to maintain batch entry 3 in material master for all batch managed BOM components.

The log for production order preliminiary costing is not saved. Therefore, once the order is saved, there is no log available anymore (this is by the way a question of PP; none of the logs is saved).

Now i want to Mass TECO all order , but i can not TECO because status should be CRFI ,
So
1) how can i change staus all order at once to CRFi?
2) Can i do the TECO in staus CRCR ?
3) Any other solution

It is NOT possible to do the process order TECO with the status CRCR , this has to be changed to CRFI
you can change the status to CRFI from CRCR in the following way
1) go to CO54 -T-code
enter the plant & Date range
enter the process message category PI_CRST ( sap std) or relevent category defined for you plant
select the to be sent option
2) here you will get list of process messages related to control recipes, click on the SEND (ctrlshiftF12)
process message will be processed & Control recipe status will be cahnged to CRFI for CRCR

Batch reservation & Allocation in process order
I am allocating batch to process order components(for active ingridient)While I am allocating the batch I am able to select the batch which has all of its quantity reserved,which is not desireble.Any solutions please??/
Eg.In MMBE my batch stock(say for batch AA11) is as follows:Unres stck 100 & reserves 100
If I am determing batch for a different process order where this component is used,I am able to select the same batch,even though it has no open quantities.

Problem in Process order confirmation ( while doing batch splitting)
Hi All
In our Industry we have sceneraio
we create Internal order and assign internal order to sales order
Once MRP run take place
Planned order created and converted to process order
Process order released
once we try to do confirmation of process order
example suppose process order header matl qty : 8
and in final confirmation while Goods receipt(101) of Fert
we do batch splitting (example 4 batch : each qty : 2)
but some time system not allows to do Goods receipt (movement type101)
system gives "Error confirm order not allowed"
please need urgent help

Sunil SinghHi Sunil,
During your first confirmation you must have activated "Final confirmation" Indicator, probably this is blocking from further confirmation.
Please check whether current system status of the order contains "CNF" if so, please cancel the previous confirmation and then redo confirmation with "partial" button active. Final confirmation should be activated only when it is the last confirmation for the order.

Automatic batch determination problem - Unable to view available batches

I have a issue related to batch determination in process order, Here is my data set up:
I am trying to to perform batch determination for process order. I see i have batches available in stock.
And my selection criteria is below:
LOBM_RLZ ( Remaining shelf life for batches) - 3d
LOBM_LFDAT (Batch determin. delivery date) - 02.02.2010 ( mm/dd/yyy format)
LOBM_VFDAT ( Expiration date, shelf life) - 05.02.2010
Batch classification view in MSC3N shows following data:
Date of last goods receipt - 27.01.2010
Expiration date, shelf life - 22.01.2011
Status shows 'Released'
Batch serch strategy is maintained in COB1 for order type, plant, and material. Please find the data maintained in COB1
Date of last goods receipt - BLANK ( No value maintained)
Remaining shelf life for batch - 3D
Expiration date, shelf life - BLANK ( No value maintained)
Please suggest me why i am unable to determine batches in process order. Any inputs whould be of great help. - Many thanks!

First Try with different selection criteria, ie., with out giving any dates. Mismatching of dates could be the problem.
Secondly check the valid from & Valid to date in COB1.

Problem creating process order with ref of sale order
Dear all,
Kindly give solution for this scenerio..............................
I am creating Process Order with ref of sale order manually in cor1. In the COR1 screen copy from field i gave my ref sale order, so that particualr order and batch is assigned to that order only.
My problem was suppose if sale order is created for 10 tonns, but my batch size and resource capacity is 2 tonns only. so first time i change my batch quantity 2 tonns instead of 10 tonns and created my order and confirmed.
if i go to second time the same process i am doing creating process order with ref of same sale order but it comes again 10 tonns instead of 8 tonns. why it comes like this already i confirmed 2 tonns in this sale order?
my requirement is if any process order is created with ref of any sale order and again if i am creating any process order with ref of same sale order left quantity only system should show.
for this what i have to do kindly help to this

Pls check whether ZKIN, ZKQT, ZKOR have all the properties similar to IN, QT, OR respectively. If they are different, please ensure that you know the reason why they are different. This check has to be done at tcode VOV8
Some fields like sales document category, Transaction group, screen seq group, Doc pricing procedure need to be similar to the parent document unless you know why you have changed them.
Once this check is done, check the copy controls in VTAA. Before that try creating these documents separately without reference. This shoudl work fine only after which you need to check copy control. If this is not working fine, then there is some problem with the document type settings in VOV8. Testing this is possible only if Reference mandatory field is left empty. Make sure that is properly configured.
Once this is done, check copy controls in VTAA. You can just copy the copycontrol between IN and QT and QT and OR and create for ZKIN to ZKQT and ZKQT to ZKOR.
Once this is done, check whether your item category settings are properly done , also the schedule line settings. The tcodes are VOV7, VOV6, VOV4, VOV5 etc.
Now check whether your material master and customer master are consistent with the item category settings(Item category group).
Now create the transaction. It shoudl work fine.

While creating Process Order, storage location is getting filled by default in Material list. The Issue storage location has been kept blank in MRP 2 view of material master.
Can you advice where can be the problem.

The proposed issue storage location is used in Repetitive Manufacturing for components for which no issue storage location has been maintained in the BOM. The goods issue of the components are then posted from this issue storage location.
Dependencies
If you want the system to use this proposed issue storage location in MRP and in the Repetitive Manufacturing backflush for withdrawing the components, you must make the necessary settings in Customizing for either MRP or for Repetitive Manufacturing. Here, you must define the storage location determination strategy, Only assembly per MRP group by entering the indicator 2 in the ISLoc field.
You use this procedure when all components lie in one storage location together close to the production line where they are required.
