  • Adobe Connecting Recordings, audio out of sync or missing

Over 30% of our recordings have issues.  Either the audio/video/power points are out of sync and/or the audio will be missing and the video is frozen.  With the upgrade to Ver8 our live events are 95% successful, we don't see audio/video issues during the live meetings only when we view the recordings.  The other thing that is strange is sometimes we will view a recording the day after a meeting and it is fine.  But then after some about of time we will get notified from our customers that the recording is messed up and when we go to view it sure enough it's messed up.  It's as if something on the Adobe servers has corrupted the recordings.
I have opened a handful of support cases on the recording issue but have yet to get a resolution from Adobe.  The basic process is that after weeks or days they give us a "fixed" recording.  Some are truely fixed but others still have too many problems to use for our customers and so we are stuck with having to redo meetings to record them again.
We are using a 12 MB dedicated wired Internet connection.  Only running Adobe Connect on the host computer, nothing else.
What can we do or Adobe do to increase the success of our Adobe Connect Recordings?  What can be done to prevent the recordings from being corrrupted on the Adobe servers?

It appears that our hosted server has not been upgraded yet.  Here is the output when I request the version information.
How do I find out when our server will be upgraded?

  • Where can I download Adobe Connect 8.1.1?

I need to install Adobe Connect 8.1.2 but first I need to upgrade Adobe Connect 8.0 to 8.1.1.
Where can I download Adobe Connect 8.1.1? I have already downloaded Adobe Connect 8.1.2.

You can contact your Oracle Sales rep, and ask them to assist you in getting a copy.
You can open a Service Request with Oracle Support, to request a copy of the software.
You can contact your local Oracle user group to see whether one of the friendly locals has a copy you can borrow.
You can always monitor eBay for the occasional set of CDs. (For example, 8.0.5 for Solaris appeared today.)
However, as far as I know, once it has become obsolete you simply can not download it from an Oracle site.

  • I've plenty hard disc room, but can't download adobe connect add-in

When I try to download Adobe Connect Add-in, message tells me I haven't enuf room on hard-disk, yet I've plenty hard-drive space available.

    Hi,
You could either download the latest version of the Add-In with a standalone installer at http://www.adobe.com/support/connect/downloads-updates.html
Or you could also try using IE/Firefox/Safari when downloading the addin. Google Chrome is known to give issues while downloading the Add-In sometimes.

  • Adobe Connect Recordings

We are looking at turning our Adobe Connect Recordings into an interactive self-study product. Is it possible to make Adobe Connect Recordings Scorm compliant?

Adobe Connect uses AICC as opposed to SCORM but you can work with SCORM and "trick" Connect in a sense using the tutorial here: http://www.connectusers.com/tutorials/2009/01/scorm_tracking/
Connect 9.x is planned to have native SCORM support but that is still in development.
In the meantime, many customers have used the above link with success.

  • How to download Adobe connect recorded meeting?

    Hi,
The recorded adobe connect can be seen by using the recording link. But it is always on the local server.
How can we download such a meeting/ session so that it can be listened offline on desktop?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Daman

The options that Heyward lists are on the server side of Connect, not within the Meeting. If you are in the meeting room, go to the Meeting menu and select the Manage Meeting Room option. Otherwise, log into the server and browse to your meeting room. From there select the Recordings link. You should see a list of all recordings that have been made in that room. In that list there will be a link to Make Offline for each recording.

  • Unable to download Adobe Connect add-in

I am trying to downlaod adobe connect add in, my computer will not allow it. It is saying unable to write to hard disk?
Message was edited by: ashish gupta. to add a more descriptive title to the post.

    Helllo!
    Please try this.
Go to this website, first changing "myconnectserver.com" with the address of your own Adobe Connect server:
    myconnectserver.com/common/help/en/support/addindownload.htm
Next, click on the "Download the Windows version" or "Download the Macintosh version" to download the actual Add-in installation file to your computer. If you get the error message at this point, this is because you likely do not have the necessary permissions to save the file to your computer. Try saving to another location, like your desktop, and see if that works.
    I hope this helps!

  • Adobe Connect Recordings to SumTotal?

We just moved to SumTotal 8.x. I was wondering how you get recordings created with Adobe Connect to become SumTotal Learning Activities that can be made available to learners? Is this a manual process or should it happen automatically now that our Adobe Connect server is linked to SumTotal?

Your recordings won't move to Sum Total. Only the data related to quizzes and scores gets transffered via the API. The recordings have to remain on the Adobe Connect server because Connect is a streaming media server as well and it streams the recording as a movie. Sum Total has nothing like that to handle recrodings.

  • Adobe Connect Recordings Frozen

I have been using Adobe Connect for 6 months now without any problem.  I'm guessing that with the update, some things are a little different.  In any case, I don't have any issues with the meetings themselves--it is the recordings that are freezing and nonfunctional.
The first 30 minutes of the recording are normal, but then the video and audio go silent.  Is there any way to fix this and salvage the recordings?

I've had this issue before and had to contact Adobe support to fix this. Because sometimes this takes a while to fix, you might want to ScreenFlow or use some other screen recording software to as a backup; that's what we have done. Good luck!

  • Adobe Connect  Recordings are our of sync

My coworker has recorded a few Adobe Connect presentations
and most of them work well. However, when you play back two of
them, the sound is out of sync with the video and it's unwatchable.
Any ideas what might cause this?

You should probably call Adobe support on this issue. They
may have a resolution for you.
Some times this comes up as users scrub or skip through the
presentation. However it may also be something that needs to be
adjusted on your server (either at Adobe or in house depending on
    how you are set up).
There have been a few discussions at
    http://www.connectusers.com
that also may have some answers for you.

  • How can I get rid of the loading circle in the edits on Adobe Connect?

I've recently made some edits to Adobe Connect recordings.  The areas that I have removed are now showing a "loading circle" in the saved recording.  In the past, the edit was pretty seamless so that viewers didn't necessarily know that something had been removed.  How can i get fix this.

  • Problems with Adobe Connect on a MacBook

I need to download Adobe Connect to take an online class. However, it doesn't load--I just get a popup that says "Loading Adobe Connect". I have a MacBook Pro, running Maverick (OS X 10.9.2). The browser I was using is Firefox.

I believe the meeting is being opened in the Connect Addin. What is the version of Connect Addin you are using ?
Are you able to launch the meeting directly in the browser ?
Please try by appending "?launcher=false" at the end of the meeting URL you are trying to open in the browser. This will ensure that meeting gets launched in the browser and not in the Addin.
Once the meeting launches and you want to share your screen you will be prompted to download the Addin in case it is not up to date.

  • Adobe Connect Desktop - just doesn't download recordings any more...

    Hi all,
Has anyone had issues since the upgrade of this?
I have made the recordings downloadable in all places thru the adobce connect admin area, but when using the desktop client evcewn though i am able to search for the file i am not however able to download it.
The recording does appear in the download queue but does not initiate. This is just unacceptable.
Part of the service is to be able to playback the meeting recordings and while i know i can do this online, it would also be useful to USE ADOBE'S PRODUCTS TO VIEW ADOBE'S BESPOKE RECORDINGS (Since they are not available in any other downloadable format, wouldn't midn so much if it just worked for once without issues.)
Add this to the whole "Adobe Presenter - the worlds most unstable and bugged out piece of software ever"
Come on Adobe, whats happening to your stuff?!?

Adobe Connect Desktop is no longer supported with Connect 9. However, it should still work. Also, be sure that the recording has been set to allow local downloads.

  • Download Connect Recordings, Audio but no Video

    Hi All
I am using the https://www.example.com/p10101010/output/filename.zip?download=zip method to download recordings from our Connect platform. (note: i am aware of the "make offline" option but this is not a good solution for me)
so, I get a .zip file with some .flv and .xml files but there only seems to be audio content, no video. The file i'm playing is the cameraVoip_0_2.flv which gives me audio, also the recordings i'm trying to download are 1.5 to 2 hours long so i was expecting much larger files than the ones that appear
from looking around the various forums it seems there should be a "screenshare.flv" file present in the downloaded zip, but its missing from my .zip... screenshot below
I have also used the Adobe Desktop client to "fetch" the files for local play back and although the quality is not great, they would be fine for my purposes.  However i can not locate the file(s) on my PC, Does any one know the path which the desktop client uses to save the files locally?
I dont think I am alone in having trouble with this issue of downloading recordings, but I have searched extensively for a fix...but no joy   :-/
    thanks in advance
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
Regarding the screenshare FLV; this is only present if you have used screensharing in the Meeting you recorded; it is not present by default. How was the video brought into your meeting room, via the camera pod or other?
Is your Adobe Connect site on-premise (hosted yourself) or hosted by Adobe? If the latter, I can take a look at our logs and see what happened here, just send me a private message with your room URL.
As for where the Adobe Connect Desktop offline recordings are stored...
On Windows XP its here: C:\Documents and Settings\user-name\Application Data\com.adobe.connect.desktop\Local Store\
    On WIndows 7 it's here: C:\Users\user-name\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.connect.desktop\Local Store
