Batch entry in process order in Goods receipt tab mandatory

Hi,
There is a field in Good receipt tab of process order (AFPO-CHARG). We want to make it mandatory field. Is there any way to do that & it should be dependent on order type-plant.

I think you are asking about batch field for header material.
If you want to make it mandatory then you can do it by creating screen varient (SHD0).
You find many online help documents and threads on screen varient, search it over here on sdn or on net also.

  • Batch no in process order

    Hi
    please help in doing following setting :
    1) Only manual allocation of Batch number under Good Receipt tab of process order should be done. i.e. No automatic batch number assignment under good receipt tab.
    2) No release of order till batch number is manually assigned under Good receipt tab of process order.

    Dear,
    First remove the automatic batch create from Production scheduling profile through OPKP or CORY.
    Then Good Receipt Batch number mandatory through  transaction variant SHD0
    Or Use the Exit EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 under enhancement PPCO0001 where-in based on your requirement you can create batch for your order. You can use CALL FUNCTION 'VB_CREATE_BATCH' to create the batchs as per your requirement.

  • Final Delivery indicator in Goods Receipt tab in Process Order

    Hello Friends,
    I have one doubt, thought to discuss with you.Whats the importance of Final delivery indicator in Process order.I know that if any further goods receipt is not accepted against the order than we should tick this indicator,because of which system sets the DLV status at order header level or if goods receipt qty against the order is equal to order qty than system automatically sets this indicator.
    when we do the settlement of order than system looks either for TECO or DLV status of order , if its find  there than system consider such orders for settlement.
    Now my question is suppose i have done the Goods Receipt against the order less than the order qty, than system will set the PDLV Status against that order.Now no further goods receipt is  expected against that order.Now i haven't set the Final delivery indicator in goods receipt tab in process order.But i have technically completed the order,because of which system has set the TECO status against that order.
    Will system allow me to settle such order?and viceversa, if order has DLV status at header level and no TECO status, than system will allow to settle such order?If yes than whats the other use of Final Delivery indicator in process order?Is it important to set that indicator from settlement point of view only?
    As far as i know, system allows us to do,but on this issue i have got different answers from different person.So bit confused.

    You need to Final confirm (CNF) the Order to get the DLV Status.
    Or if the Delivery completed indicator is set in the Process Order, then also th System status will be DLV
    If your order quantity10 and you produced 10 quantity it means that order is fully deliver  then Final delivery will automatically be set.
    The "delivery completed" indicator has the following effects:
    o The item is regarded as closed, even if the total quantity was not delivered.
    o A further delivery is not expected, may, however, arrive.
    If status is DLV then it cannot be a WIP stage where the the good are posted to stock and production is completed

    E.g.: If i am receiving material from vendor then my requirement is system will generate batch automatically...

    You assign the batch number either
    Manually
    Automatically, using internal batch number assignment, refer to Customizing for Batch Management under Internal batch number assignment.
    Internal batch number assignment is activated for the complete client, unless you exempt individual plants or materials using a customer exit (see Configure customer exits for intern. batch number assignment in Customizing for Batch Management).
    The R/3 System informs you that the internal batch number assignment is active. You are however only informed once per transaction, for example, when you enter the first item on the multiple-entry screen.

    Hi Guys,
    Hope everyone is well. I would like to know in as simple terms as possible, what is the use of Automatic Purchase Order upon Goods Receipt mvt 101 or 161. Can someone explain to me the purpose of this? or applicable in which type of business scenario?
    Because i think, if it is upon Goods Issue, then it is understandable, you would want to top up the stocks, but upon GR? Why?
    This is a non configuration question, just a business process question..

    This process is used in case of emergency when stock is required in the plant and we dont have time to first create PO and then get its approval and follow the normal process. In the case of emergency, we tell the vendor to deliver the material and on receipt of this material we take it into the system through GR and the corresponding PO is automatically generated.
    Usually this is option available in system, but it depends on the clients requirement whether they want this option available to end users or not. Mostly our clients prefer not to have this option enabled, as this way can lead to irregularities by the users.
    So they prefer to follow the normal process, but this process for above scenario is followed on war footings that way the GR takes place immediately when Goods are received.

    Hi Sam,
    The screen itself is self explanatory. Data in Goods receipt is being populated from master data and from configuration also. Few data can be changed in order level which will be valid only for this order.
    So the main things are,
    1. Type of stock(unrestricted/quality etc)
    2. GR proc time(comes from master data-Mat master)
    3. GR is possible or not/delivery completion etc)
    4. Under and over delivery tol(from mat master)
    5. Stor loc(Comes from different sources- Please refer the doc link-Default storage locatio selection for component)
    6. Batch -GR

    Need a Badi to look the good issue status for compoents for prod order before good receipt in MIGO.
    Example : There are 10 comps need to be issued to production order to make any assy but 6 comps were issued
    and remaining 4 comps are not yet issued.,in this situation if I try to do goods receipt for prod order through MIGO.,system should populate the warning
    message saying still goods issue are pending for prod order.
    Please advise .

    Before trying with a BAdI, have you tried to control this behaviour thru the Order confirmation parameters (OPK4)?
    Note that you can have a termination in case of having problems in the goods movements..
    Take a look of this and the SAP help:
    Termination of Confirmation if Incorrect Goods Movements
    Controls if the confirmation is terminated in the event of incorrect goods
    movements.
    Use
    This enables you to terminate the confirmation in the event of incorrect
    items, for example, to prevent postprocessing records.
    Dependencies
    The indicator is only evaluated if either no process control key or one
    process control key has been stored that enbles the goods movements to be posted
    in dialog AND for which the "provide error handling for goods movements"
    indicator is active. If there are incorrect goods movements, the system behaves
    as follows:
    A log is issued that gives information on the incorrect goods movements
    If these incorrect goods movements are determined by inventory management,
    then the option of correcting these errors is offered in the error handling
    If the correction is not successful, the confirmation is terminated

    ME2N - In selection screen, enter Selection parameters as
    WE102 i.e. Goods receipt exists and in output screen put a filter on "Still to be invoiced (qty)" and "Still to be invoiced (val.)" as not equal to zero OR greater than Zero.
    OR use RECHNUNG i.e. Open invoices and execute the report
    OR Use MB5S - GR/IR Balances

  • Issues during Component Batch Determination for Process Orders

    Hi,
    I am encountering a strange issue during component batch determination of process order.
    1. During creation of process order, when I execute batch determination, systems does determination based on strategies we have set and when I click on Copy it gives an error
    "Log cannot be saved: Object/subobject not specified"
    Message no. BL201
    *Diagnosis
    Log save cancelled because at least one log contains no object or subobject.
    Object and subobject are needed to classify application logs because there are several log types. Only a few logs are managed in main memory at runtime, so this classification is not needed.
    If the logs are to be saved in the database, object/subobject must be specified for later retrieval.
    Procedure for System Administration
    Object/sub object can be passed when a log is created (function module BAL_LOG_CREATE) and changed with BAL_LOG_CHANGE.
    The possible values for object and sub object must be configured in transaction SLG0.*
    If I save the order with CRTD status and come back again in change mode and do determination, It works fine.
    Again when the order is in REL status and do the determination, It gives the same error.
    This happens only for a specific plant, In other plants batch determination works in all scenarios.
    I checked for all plant related Config for batch determination and coudn't find any discrepancies.
    Please advise how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance for your help

    There Is no direct solution for your requirement just try this work around.
    While defining the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1, there is one column Quantity proposal where you can attach the Routines (This is written in ABAB code )  make use of this, define New Routines with ABAB help to fulfill your requirement. Try this if found useful award full points.

  • Purchase Order Module  - Goods Receipt PO - Goods Return - AP Invoice

    Hi all expert,
    I have a senario is :-
    Open Purchase Order Module  -> Goods Receipt PO -> Goods Return -> AP Invoice
    Puchase Product A by "Purchase Order" with Qty 6,000 After "Good Receipt PO", found out 3,500 pcs is out of spec then "Goods Returns" 3,500 pcs. Then continue do "AP Invoice" with Qty 2,500 pcs.
    Question is 1 week later, the supplier replacement back 3,500 pcs, so how am i going to start to steps? since PO have been close.
    When i at  "Goods Receipt PO" wanna to copy from "Goods Return", it is show nothing.
    Your advise is highly appreciated.

    i think you have to create a new PO then GRN then PI...since you copied the PO to GRN it will show as closed as there is a target doc. linked to the PO. A PO can be changed only if there is no target doc linked to it .

    What are the difference between the strategy types - Order type/Plant/Mat, Order type/Plant, Prod Material?
    For Order type/Plant combination- If my criteria is to do automatic batch determination at process order release against the sort rule characteristics (LOBM_LWERT) GR received date. I maintained LOBM_LWERT in all material classes, now in selection criteria which class I will choose as different materials contain different class in the class type 023.
    I am confused.
    In case of Order type/Plant/mat- number of master data is huge.

    Latest GR date can be get from MB51, by giving input as Material and movement type as 101.

    please check if the correct level of WUL is defined in derivation rules 
    Mostly the problem is caused by default value 99 here. You can check and
    change the value in transaction DVR2.
