Try searching the forum, we see this topic monthly or so.
Last time it came up the discussion went towards setting markers and batch exporting the markers as stills. I do not recall the details nor do I recall if it actually worked. Scroll back down the forum a few days, look for Chapter Markers as Stills or something like that.

  • Why does our Final Cut Pro Batch Exports incorrectly name sequence files?

    Why does our Final Cut Pro 7.0.1 Batch Exports incorrectly name sequence files?
    For example I can Batch Export 10 sequences one of which is called:
    "899-006TL013 It's Not Your Fault 800-509-2875"
    Then the output for some of the files are along the lines of:
    "899-006TL013 It's No#61386E.mov"
    I have seen this happen with 1-6 files or not at all... is it just dumb luck?
    What is going on here and is there any way to avoid or remedy this issue?
    We first thought having the render destination window open caused it but that was not the source.
    Any ideas?

    I've run into the same problem with FCP 7.0.2 when exporting from the sequence using File --> Export --> QuickTime Movie. I exported a file today called "BSP - 01 - How You Can Be Sure You Are A Christian" and it came out as this "BSP - 01 - How You Can#1630". This is getting to be annoying. I also need to name these files the length they are. I'm hoping someone may see this and have a suggestion (besides shortening the file name). It seems like I've also seen this on shorter file names, but at the moment I can't prove it.

  • Script for Batch Exporting XML from IDCS3 files

    Does anyone have a script they would share for batch exporting XML from IDCS3 files? I do not know anything about scripting so I do not know how to write one myself. I've also searched around and cannot find anything. I would appreciate any help with this anyone can offer.
    Thanks,

    Or use below Code:
    try {
         inFolderName= Folder.selectDialog ("Input Folder:");
         outFolderName= Folder.selectDialog ("Output Folder:");
         if ((inFolderName != null) && (outFolderName != null))
              var idFileFolder = new Folder(inFolderName);
              var files = idFileFolder.getFiles("*.indd");
              for(myCounter = 0; myCounter < files.length; myCounter++)
                   var theDocument = app.open(File(files[myCounter]));
                   with ( theDocument ) {
                   myXMLFile = new File(outFolderName + "/" + name.replace(".indd","") + ".xml" );
                   exportFile( ExportFormat.xml, myXMLFile );
                   close(SaveOptions.no);
    catch (err ) {
    alert("All files export");

  • Batch Exporting Clips from timeline in Final Cut Pro X

    So ive looked at many forums and many sources and I know this isn't the first time this question has been asked.....but I was
    wondering how I would be able to batch export clips from the timeline (about 100 or so) to use as Content for VJing (live media manipulation). Is there a simple way to acomplish this in Final Cut Pro X... I have heard remours that you can cut multiple clips in Quicktime Pro 7 but im not sure how eficiant this is, I also have heard that this is allot easier to acomplish in Final Cut Pro 7. If anybody knows a simple (and quick way) to acomplish this Im all ears!

    If you want to batch export parts of your project, I believe that you'd better served by an external utility, like QTCoffee. Export your movie to Quicktime, and then use QTCoffee to create the various bits in one, er... batch.

  • Batch export text from multiple Indesign files, applying em and strong tags

    Hi there,
    I am struggling for a while now with the following workflow:
    batch exporting all text (text only) as plain text, from multiple Indesign files, applying <em> and <strong> for all the bold and italics (for instance: Molluptas verion <strong>nossum</strong> idist <em>doluptatet</em> maiorerum quiaspienit, cum erferiosapis eos expe nonsequas verumquae dolor sim eos doluptatiur autet lab idicili beatum deliquat).
    Properly tagging the styles, will be too time consuming, as these documents are as old as 1998, have inconsistent untagged styles; it will mean to manually open up each file, assign tags for all styles (not to mention that might be some local overwrites).
    This task is necessary to have all the archive, available on wordpress website.
    Any feedback would be much appreciated it.
    Thanks.

    There may well be a script or you may have pay someone to write it. All I can tell you is that any text not mapped to a style will be a mess in the HTML code.
    Can’t comment on Quark files. I have no clue what they’re capable of.

  • Batch export PNGs from PSDs into same root folder?

    I am trying to export a large amount of PSD files to PNG's (png-24 for web and devices) and want to run a batch while still respecting the file/folder organization in place. Is it possible to run a batch action or script to export the PNG's into the original root folder rather than choose a destination for each folder I want to export?
    For example, I have several PSDs in folders A, B & C.
    So far, I have been running an action including Export, choosing A as the destination for the A psd's, then doing the same for B and C separately.
    Is it possible to run one batch on A, B & C at the same time and keep the resulting PNG's in the original PSD's root folder respectively in CS5? I am pretty familiar with working in Actions in Photoshop, but don't know much about additional scripting in or out of the program.
    Thanks!

    Download the CS5 version of Image Process Pro from http://www.russellbrown.com/scripts.html
    It has a option to maintain the folder structure.

  • Batch Export with Match Sequence Settings

    How can I select a bunch of sequences in Premiere Pro and export them with Media Encoder as "Match Sequence" Settings? When I have multiple selections  that option is not available. Also, is there an option to either use or ignore the in/out when batching sequences?

    Hi TBC,
    I think you're on the wrong track with the export. Camera codecs are for acquisition. There are many different options for Export, and they do not need to be, nor should they be in most cases, the same thing you started with. The general consensus I see on these forums is to avoid "Match Sequence Settings" most of the time.
    Please let us know the destination, and we can then suggest options. For instance, if you simply want to create a "Master" copy of the completed work, on a Mac you might want ProRes, while on the PC you could look at the Lagarith Lossless codec, or the Avid DNxHDcodec (both need to be installed to use them). If going to the web, there's a ton of options, but a YouTube or Vimeo preset is a good place to start, found under "H.264" format.

  • Exporting DV from sequence to VHS analog

    I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to dub a project to my VHS. The converter I bought (DAC-100) was highly reccommended by a MAC review and said it would do both fine, analog to DV and DV to analog. Analog to DV has been no problem at all. But, so far I cannot get DV to analog to work. I think all fo my settings are correct, all I get on the TV monitor is a pink screen, ughhhhh! Tech support for the converter said it should do it, but if pink screen shows up, it means that it's not getting a video signal. Any ideas??/ Please help!

    No, I am not seeing the video on my TV monitor, it's a pink screen. That is why I have been puzzled how it imports analog video through converter just fine into FCE, but I cannot get it back out to the VHS...I think all of the switches are correct though. Unless there is another setting I am not aware of. I know I have switched it to DV for exporting video, rather than when I import video and it's on analog. Thanks for your help, is there anything else I can do? So I guess the print to video is not what is making or not making it show up and export, right?

  • Export clips from a sequence seperately with effects as a batch export in CS 5.5

    Hi there,
    I'd like to know if there is any possibility to export all clips from a sequence/timeline seperately with all applied effects as a batch export or similar in CS 5.5.
    I know there is a chance to do that via the project manager, but a far as I know this way doesn't include the applied effects on each clip.
    Thanks for your help in advance...
    Marc.

    The only way to export a single clip with effects is to manually set up each individual export.  This applies to all version of PP.

  • Is there a way to select multiple sequences and batch export them using the same settings in CS6?

    I am a current Final Cut Pro7 user and looking to switch over to Premiere Pro CS6.  We edit approx. 100 short (15 sec.) videos daily, and then select them all at the end of the day and batch export them over night using the same export recipe for all. I have having trouble finding an easy way to do this in Premiere pro CS6, as command +E is grayed out if i select more than one sequence at a time.
    so far, it appears that i have to select each video individually and manually set encoding recipe and export location for each....  Not only would this be terribly time consuming, but it leaves a lot of room for error and missed videos.  I thought i would be able to send all of the sequences to Adobe Media Encoder,  but i dont see that option either.
    Any suggestions/
    thanks!

    Open Media Encoder and add your Sequences:
    File > Add Premiere Pro Sequence
    Navigate to your Premiere Project and select it in the list.
    You can then select multiple Sequences from the Project (Ctrl+Click)
    and load them all at once into Media Encoder and apply
    the same encoding preset to all Sequences at the same time.

  • Batch change dpi from 72 to 300 and export as jpg

    Hi All,
    I have searched high and low, and have yet to find a script that will accomplish this task. I am in need of a script that will change Illustrator's default 72 dpi, to 300 dpi so I can print a series of (about 200) respectable looking images. They also need to be exported to jpg.
    Is this possible to do in batch?
    I have tried countless approaches. The closest I have come is using Graphic Converter Pro, unfortunately it cannot change the dpi from 72 to 300 (as far as I could tell). Any help is greatly appreciated. I have access to Mac OS and Windows. I've been trying to tackle this for quite some time. Thank you!

    Hi, thanks for your responses. I do have Photoshop. What I am trying to do is take about 100 .ai files and export them to .jpg. However, they are going to be printed, and any sort of batch export as .jpg I have tried so far has resulted in substantial resolution (72 dpi). I am well aware of how to change the resolution for exporting each file individually, however what I want to do is batch the whole process together. I will try the resizing approach. Thanks both of you!

  • Batch export of multiple clips from one video in Premiere CS4

    Hello,
    I'm really in a bind and hope you guys can help me out. I have about 30 hours of video in about 30 mpg files..1 hour in each video. I need to splice out small clips from each video..anywhere from 10 to 20 clips in each and send them to Media Encoder to store as video files I can then re-use. In CS3 I can do this manually one clip at a time ..set In point, Out point and then export. This however takes a very very long time....set the ins/outs, then export, then wait, then repeat..very tedious
    In CS4 can i set multiple ins/outs for the entire video and then have premiere go to work and do a batch export? Or is there another way of doing this? I have about a week left to get this done and at a total of about 450 clips to export each 2-5 mins for encoding this will take forever...plase help!
    Stan

    It wont do exazctly what you want but.... But the batch encoding should save you some time since you can continue to work while it encodes/exports.
    Do you need to make more than one output type? Like DV, WMV, FLV... for each one? If so, I suggest this workflow:
    1. Open source file 1 in Source monitor set in and out, ctrl drag subclip to a folder in the project panel.
    2. Repeat step 1 for any other subclips needed from source clip 1
    3. When done with first source clip go into bin where you put your subclips click on them one at a time and do export/media to your lowest compressed need (like DV AVI for example); it will be added to AME queue
    4. Repeat step 3 for all subclips, then click start queue.
    5. While AME is exporting all the subclips for your first source clip, repeat steps 1-3 on source clip 2...
    When you are all done; if you need to make multiple output types for each file; Do (IN AME) File>New>Watch Folder
    Create a Watch folder for each output type you want. Then simply copy all the exported clips you want inot each of these folders and AME will process them all for you in batch.
    It doesnt do exactly what you wished for; but should save you a few buckets of time.

  • How to batch export certain pages from pdf to excel

    I have several thousand pdf files that I need to convert into excel files. The files are 20 pages each but I only need 4 pages from these. I worked with a sample and was able to convert the entire document for each file but would like to sellect certain pages to be converted. Is there any way to do this?
    I am using acrobat 11 pro. Any help would be much appreciated!

    If you know the pages you want to extract, you could use JavaScript to extract them and then batch export to Excel using an Action. Here is a tutorial on how to Extracting pages from a PDF with Acrobat JavaScript.

  • Trouble with batch export from cd

    a buddy of mine put some music on my i-pod, i downloaded it into i-tunes. When i batch export music into my project it works fine. I have been trying to do this straight from a music cd. It is not wanting to recognize the songs. Am i missing something can we take songs from a cd and use them in our final cut project. i pressed command-b in browser, create new bin, select bin>batch export, drag song from cd into export window, set destination, Aiff as file type change rate to 48.0 click export. I can get it to play from the cd in the project, but i want to eject the cd and access the song of the exported or imported file.

    Just copy it to your hard drive first (preferably inside your scratch disk).
    Files on a CD are 44kHz and FCP works best with 48kHz files so it is best to select the file in the browser, go to Export > QuickTime Conversion. Select AIFF from the drop-down menu (if it is not already selected) and click Options. Make sure Rate is set to 48000 and Sample Size is set to 16, then click Ok and export the file. Import this new file into your project. Because it has the correct settings that FCP is looking for, you should not need to render it.

  • Trouble exporting 320x240 from 720x480 sequence using QT conversion

    (Opps, put this on the FCP Express discussion 1st...)
    Hi,
    Everytime I try to export a 720x480 sequence from FCP with "using QT Conversion" to a 320x240 size, it exports out as 640x480. Everytime. Used to work just fine. Same thing happens using a compressor setting to 320x240 and exporting right from the QT export size setting. Anyone know what gives? I tried trashing prefs in both FCP and QT. No luck.
    Thanks!

    This is the first time I've heard of this problem so no real basis to go on. Try the QT prefs delete again and if not that, then the QT reinstall.
    To do a full quicktime reinstall.
    Go to /library/receipts and delete any files that say Quicktime followed by a number e.g. Quicktime703.pkg
    Go to the Apple quicktime site and download the appropriate version of Quicktime to your hard drive.
    Run the Quicktime installer.
    Repair Disk Permissions for your System Disk (Disk Utility > Select the system disk > Repair Disk Permissions)
    Reboot
    Good luck.
