Batch Folder Save

This photoshop is making my head hurt. I do not want to get a degree in nuclear biology in order to get the red eye out. So I don't use it, I use an ancient photo deluxe business 1.0 or something. It understands I am an idiot, and is cool with that.
Then I have this whole folder of 116 files. It said they were jpg but would not open in ancient adobe. I tried my portable CS5 thing and went into File, automate, batch. It made me hit save for each one, and saved each one as a pdf file, which I didn't want, and that folder I can open in my ancient adobe, but I cannot blur or clone unless I save it as jpg and then open again.
So all I want is to change this folder of PDF to JPG
I searched here, downloaded a script somebody said to get, opened it and realized I don't know what it is or what to do with it, and deleted it. Searched some more, learned all about similar stuff. I tried again.
What I don't understand is that one of the choices I can make near the top is to save as PDF, but there is no save as JPG. It keeps telling me to save an extension for destination but won't let me type jpg in there.
Would some one please tell me step by step, in the batch dialog, what do I do to have it convert these PDF to JPG, without me having to "save as jpg" each one.
I have 3 rows of:
Document name       +     extensions
But it doesn't say which on is the save to destination, and won't let me type jpg or .jpg and my head is hurting.

function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}

Can you go into more detail about what you mean by "portable CS5 thing"?
I've been hearing this term a lot lately, and some have implied it's pirated software.
I'm not accusing anything, but I'd genuinely like to know what you mean by "portable".

  • Batch Process "save as" problem

Strange things are happening during the batch process save as function.
I have a set of actions i need to run on a couple of hundred jpegs, they simply need a lens correction, auto colour and auto contrast, then need saving as tiffs, all works fine when i record the action, but when i run it on a folder full of jpegs, the tiffs are huge! original jpegs are around 5mb and the tiffs are 30mb, if i apply the save as to a file individually it seems fine (file size around 2mb)
In the save as section i have specified jpeg compression at a quality of 8, but it seems to miss this in the batch process, am i missing something?
    Running CS6 on OSX  10.7.5

What Script? You spoke of Actions previously.
And using Save As in Batch processing can be problematic.
Maybe Image Processor (or Image Processor Pro) might help to avoid having to include that in the Action.
But why tiff if you are going to apply the same destructive compression as a straight jpg?

  • Batch processing "save for web" color shift problem

In Illustrator CS3, when batch processing "save for web and devices," there is a dramatic color shift in resulting files.
Is there a workaround for this problem?
    Thanks!

Make sure the color mode of your documents is RGB (not CMYK) and that your workspace is sRGB.

  • Batch processing saves files in wrong folder.

I ran into a problem the other day, and I believe an item should be added to the Process Multiple Files window, or perhaps it's a bug that should be squashed.
I have a folder with many subfolders in it, all full of jpegs. I wanted to use the Process Multiple Files function to convert the jpegs into png files and have the png files placed into the same folder as the jpeg it originated from.
I have the Destination set to Same as Source, but instead of placing the files into the subfolders, all the images go directly into the parent folder. It was much more time-consuming to try to sort them out than to start over and process each folder individually. I should be able to leave the computer unattended and have the files saved into the proper folders; Instead I had to stay close so I could change the Source folder every few minutes.
I see no reason why there isn't an option to place the converted files into their original folder. Isn't that what the Same as Source setting is supposed to do?

Sure, if you owned all of those files and were doing it strictly for yourself you could certainly write a plugin to Acrobat (in C/C++) that could do some/all of the things you asked for.

  • Batch runs "Save As" instead of "Save For Web"

    Hi,
I recorded an action to use for batch automation which included:
    - resize image
    - Save For Web & Devices (to JPG medium setting)
But when I try to run it, the Save As dialog box shows up after every image.  Also, the image optimization is different (turns out about twice the size).
Wonder if anyone might provide some advice on this, thanks!

You probably need a close no save step at the end of your action.
In the save for web dialog, when you record the action, save to the folder you
want the batch dialog to put the images. Then set the batch dialog as below.

  • Batch processing: save processed file with same name to different location without moving the original

Hi, I would like to denoise Voice Over files with help of Auditions Batch Process. However, I have to save the files with the same name as the original, so that I can simply relink them in Premiere. Since I do want to keep the originals, I would like to save the processed files to a different location.
Unfortunately, Batch Processor adds " Copy" to the processed files and moves the originals along with the processed files to the new folder (causing Premiere to loose the original files).
Can I achieve my goal with Batch Processor, and how would I have to configure it?
    Kind regards,
    Andreas

Which version of Audition are you using? The latest ones allow you to specify where the batched files are saved and also if any Prefix or Postfix are added to the file name. These are all under Export Settings in the Batch Process pane. However you must have the Export box ticked to give you access to the settings.

  • Automated Batch Overide Save As not working

I have created an action in CS4 that includes a Save for Web at that end. When I try to run an Automated Batch and change the save folder location using the overide check box and selecting the new forlder, the batch run still saves to folder specified in the action. There is no overide.
I am using Windows 7. Please see the screencast here: http://www.screenr.com/1xo

The commands in the batch dialog for override save as and renaming don't apply to
export plugins, which is what save for web is.
You can make it work by setting the folder you want to save the images to when you
use save for web (the folder you choose when using save for web to record the action)
Then add a Close without saving step at the end of the action.
In the batch dialog set the Source folder and set none under Destination.
(the images will open, run the action and close one at a time)
Added: An easier way would be to use the Picture Processor script which has a save for web option.
Then you wouldn't need the save for web or close steps in your action.

    hi,
    for, ? 1.
u2018ACO_SUPERu2019 is the only PFCG object for working with ACLs in SAP Easy Document Management.
PFCG roles (objects) and ACLs are independent of each other. If both PFCG objects and ACLs are maintained, the system takes both of them into account, but PFCG roles are given preference.
To be able to use object-related authorizations (ACLs) in SAP Easy Document Management, you have to carry out the following steps:
    1.      Create a PFCG role or use an existing one
The PFCG role ensures access to document management. The system first checks the PFCG roles of a user. If the user has authorization for document management, the system carries out the check for ACLs.
    2.      Assign user to role
    3.      In SAP Easy Document Management you define the administrator authorizations for a folder or document under SAP Properties on the Authorizations tab page with Create Admin Authorization. These authorizations allow the user to edit documents and folders and assign authorizations to other users, user groups, and roles.
    4.      You define authorizations for other users, user groups, roles, and HR objects in SAP Easy Document Managementunder SAP Properties on the Authorizations tab page for a folder or document, by choosing
for Q2, u can edit original program and make it deactive that field. not recomended. ask Abaper.

  • Batch Folder renaming according to file name.

    Hi,
I work in a busy photostudio and I am currently using automator to process thousands of Images, compression, size, name changes ect. However there is just one process I am stuck on. I need to put these Images into folders that relate to the file name. I have a process that will do this that I found here. This works well but i need it to only look at a certain part of the file name.
For example if I had a collection of images like this,
    azz55412_blue_3.jpg
    azz55412_pink_2.jpg
    azz55412_blue_6.jpg
    azz78459_blue_1.jpg
    azz78459_blue_3.jpg
    azz65236_blue_7.jpg
The current process would place each one in a folder named after each image. Ideally I would like it to only look at the first part of the name ie azz55412 and create a folder called that and place any other images it finds with the same code in that folder.
Is this possible with automator or applescript?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Mark

Save the line below into a plain text file and give it the .jsx extension.
    app.activeDocument.activeLayer.name = decodeURI(app.activeDocument.name).match(/(.*)(\.[^\.]+)/)[1];
Then create an action that runs that script. Then run File-Automate-Batch using that action.

  • Is there any other way to use a Batch Action Save as Without Using Override "Save As"

The problem im having is, Ive made a Action which uses the save option several times though the action. When i try to run a batch action it just overrides the last file. When I check the Override Button the action does not work becuase i used save in my action in ealier steps. The action works perfect with one picture when doing it manually but it would take forever to do 1500 pictures manually. Any help would be great.
Im trying to find a way to run the batch file and have it save as a diffrent file name each time.
Thanks for the Help In Advance

  • Save Link As/New Folder/Save/ Causes Firefox to crash

This was posted 11 months ago and was solved by creating a new user profile.
    http://support.mozilla.org/nl/questions/890781
Right-click a link and choose 'save link as...' Browse to desired location and click 'new folder' Name the folder and open it click 'save' Firefox crashes -- restart and use the new folder or any existing folder and everything is fine after that.
Creating a new profile is really not an option for me. (too much work, too many settings)
A workaround for this problem is starting firefox with the "Run this program as an Administrator" option. So the problem has something to do with NTFS permissions.
    Anyone?

    Hi Nyaz,
Thanks for writing back with the results, and I am sorry to hear that this issue still persists.
You mentioned that the problem does not occur when you run Firefox "as an administrator", so it does sound like something related to permissions. It is very strange that it only crashes on a newly created, unused folder. I did some digging around but was not able to find any relevant information.
I have a couple of questions - they might be just shooting in the dark, but I believe they might be relevant:
    1. Are you logged in as Administrator? I am not sure this would make a difference, since it only crashes on new folders, but it might be helpful information for someone else reading about this.
    2. Is the folder created on a network drive? I have had some issues happen when manipulating files over a network drive.
I hope that someone with more knowledge of the NTFS might be able to chime in and guide you in the right direction. I'm sorry that I was not able to help you, but I will keep an eye out and get back to you if I come across any possible solution.

  • Batch folder rename

Is there a way to batch rename folders? I have a series of folders that I have inherited and they all have a digit at the end which I would like to remove. I really don't want to do this manually.
I've looked at Automator but can't see a solution there.

Use the following AppleScript when the enclosing folder is in the frontmost Finder window:
    tell application "Finder"
repeat with this_folder in (get folders of window 1)
set name of this_folder to (items 1 thru -2 of (get name of this_folder)) as string
    end repeat
    end tell

  • Help creating batch action, save as tiff

I'm not *getting* it, and have been trying for a couple hours. Please, what am I missing???
    Steps I've done;
Created a set called rit sq color balance
Created an action called color balance
Created an action called save and close, Saving as TIFF, Close
Should I not be able to run this sequence of adjusting the color, saving into the destination file as a tiff?
Each action works separately, but not together.

You need to add (just drag it like you might a layer) the save step of save and close action into the color balance action, making that action a two-step action (color balance, then save). Then your batch setup will run.
If you check the "override action save as" (which you've done), you should see the warning below. Since there are no save steps in your color balance action (right now they reside in the save and close action), no files are saved. If you don't see this warning, you might consider resetting all the warning dialogues in the general areas of the prefs.
This would all be less confusing if you actions weren't named the steps they call...

  • Can i batch process/save for web various images to the same exact KB size? not just the quality perc

    Hello,
I have a batch of 500 jpg images all in different sizes 732 KB, 634 KB, 664 KB etc... I need to compress / save for web down to 130 KB the entire batch.
I've managed to create an action which compresses them lower than 130 KB at different sizes depending on how light or dark the images are,  but still not to an exact number. Is there a way to create such an action or script?
I'm working off of Photoshop CS5, iMac 10.5.8
    thank you for time,

Thank you for your response eartho, I have a client which needs them at that size for their site.
I figure i'll compress them as close as possible to 130 KB, but when I automate the batch resize certain images don't fall under 130 KB which is forcing me to go through the entire batch and look for those, and thus compress them individually.
