Guten Tag,
ich bin neu im Forum und verwende Acrobat Pro 9.0 unter Windows. Ich möchte einzelne JPEGs jeweils per Batch in ein PDF zusammenführen. Das PDF soll ausserdem automatisch benannt werden.
Die Dateinamen bzw. Verzeichnisstruktur sieht folgendermaßen aus:
Ordner (Dateiname01) enthält die Dateien Dateiname1-0001.tiff, Dateiname1-0002.tiff usw. sowie den Unterordner (JPEG)
Unterordner (JPEG) enthält die Dateien Dateiname1-0001.jpeg, Dateiname1-0002.jpeg usw.
Ordner (Dateiname02) enthält die Dateien Dateiname2-0001.tiff, Dateiname2-0002.tiff usw. sowie den Unterordner (JPEG)
Unterordner (JPEG) enthält die Dateien Dateiname2-0001.jpeg, Dateiname2-0002.jpeg usw.
Das Ergebnis des Batch sollte Dateiname01.pdf und Dateiname02.pdf sein.
Bisher bin ich mit der Stapelverarbeitung von Acrobat Pro zu keinem zufriedenstellendem Ergebnis gekommen. Wäre super wenn jemand einen Vorschlag hätte. Ich habe hier ca 2500 Ordner á la "Ordner (Dateiname01)" das alles zu Fuß per "Zusammenfügen Dialog" in PDFs zu konvertieren könnte etwas länger dauern.

Hallo,
ich muss eine Funktion programmieren mit der ich PDF-Dateien automatisch speichern kann. In Version 4 konnte man einfach den Dateinamen vor dem Druck in die Registry schreiben und der Writer hat die Datei dann dort abgelegt. Das funktioniert mit der 6er Version anscheinend nicht mehr.
Gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit, den Dateinamen bzw. -pfad vor dem Druck festzulegen?

PDF mit PHP ausfüllen

Hallo,
ich möchte aus PHP heraus automatisch ein vorher erstelltes PDF mit Werten ausfüllen. Zur Erstellung verwende ich Adobe Designer 7.
Jedoch kann ich diese PDFs dann nicht mit Werten füllen, obwohl es mit alten PDFs (mit anderer Adobe Version erstellt) funktioniert.
Hat jemand Hilfe?
Ich wär echt dankbar.

habe jetzt gesehen, dass es da wohl unterschiede gibt.
besteht die möglichkeit eine xml datei zu generieren und diese mit der von "designer 7" erstellten datei per php zu öffnen?
oder gibt es doch eine möglichkeit, eine solche datei per php skript auszufüllen?

APEX 3.1.2: How to show a jpeg/pdf inside a geotag from a GIS app?

I am developing a small Oracle Maps Application for my diploma thesis at my university. I've found the "Hands-on Lab: Developing an interactive mapping application for your Oracle database using Oracle Maps" held in October 2006 in San Francisco and I am trying to get used to this kind of applications.
I am using Oracle EE 10g, SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 (OC4J + HTTP Server), MapViewer 10.1.3.1, APEX 3.1.2.
Everything works fine until I want to click and see a geotag. For some unknown reason the jpeg/pdf (blob content) is not appearing. Instead I can see one of those broken small icons. When I tried to click the link to see the pdf the following message appeared:
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pls/apex/MVDEMO.download_file on this server."
I have granted the execute on the download procedure to public and also to apex_public_user. (I thought just in case...)
I imagine there might be some changes in the new APEX 3.1.2 version that caused this break down? The lab was developed for an older version of Apex.
Could you please advice me what am I doing wrong and/or how can I fix it? I would deeply appreciate your input.

Ok, so I've found the following note on Metalink: 783646.1 HTTP-403 Forbidden Error While Trying To Access The DB Procedure From The URL, that should solve my problem, if I only managed to modify the wwv_flow_epg_include_local.sql function. I opened it in Wordpad, modified it and tried to overwrite it and save it and then it says "Access to ...\core\wwv_flow_epg_include_local.sql was denied."
Does anyone know how to solve this? Pleeaseeeee! :D

How to batch upload PDF files into database BLOB

Hello.
I have a requirement to batch upload PDF files into BLOB column of an Oracle 8.1.7 table from Forms 6i Web. The content of the blob column (ie. the PDF content) MUST be displayable from all client software (eg. Oracle Web forms, HTML forms, etc.)
Our environment is
Middle-tier is 9iAS on Windows/2000
Database is Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 on VMS
Oracle Web Forms 6i Patch 10
Basically my Oracle web form program will display a list of PDF files to upload and then the user can click on the <Upload> button to do the batch upload. I have experimented the following approaches but with no luck.
1. READ_IMAGE_FILE forms built-in = does NOT work because it cannot read PDF file. I got error FRM-47100: Cannot read image file
2. OCX and OLE form item = cannot use this because it does NOT work on the Web. I got error FRM-41344 OLE object not defined
3. I cannot use DBMS_LOB to do the load because the PDF files are not in the database machine.
4. Metalink Note 1682771.1 (How to upload binary documents back to database blob column from forms). When I used this, I got ORA-6502 during the hextoraw conversion. In using this solution, I have downloaded a bin2hex.exe from the Google site. I've noticed that when I looked at the converted HEX file, each line has the character : (colon) at the beginning of each line. I know the PDF file has been converted correctly to HEX format because when I convert the HEX file back to BIN format using hex2bin.exe, I'm able to display the converted bin file in Acrobat Reader. When I removed the : (colon) in the HEX file, I did NOT get the ORA-6502 error but I CANNOT display the file in Acrobat Reader. It gives an error "corrupted file".
5. upload facility in PL/SQL Web toolkit - I tried to automatically submit the html form (with htp.p) but it does NOT load the contents of the file. I called the URL from Oracle forms using web.show_document. There seems to be issues with Oracle Web forms (JInitiator) and HTML (+ htp.p).
The other options I can think of at this point are:
1. Use SQL*Loader to do the batch upload via SQL*Net connection and use HOST() built-in from Oracle Webforms to execute SQL*Loader from the 9iAS.
2. Write a Visual Basic program that reads a binary file and output the contents of the file into a byte array. Then build a DLL that can be called from Oracle webforms 6i via ORA_FFI. I don't prefer this because it means the solution will only work for Windows.
3. Write a JSP program that streams the PDF file and insert the contents of the PDF file into blob column via JDBC. Call JSP from forms using web.show_document. With this I have to do another connection to the database when I load the file.
4. Maybe I can use dbms_lob by using network file system (NFS) between the application server and VMS. But this will be network resource hungry as far as I know because the network connection has to be kept open.

can I batch print PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Reader X? I have tried from Windows Exploer (Windows XP) and it looks like the files are opening but they do not print.

Very strange! What is your installed Reader version?
Try disabling Protected Mode in Adobe Reader [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Batch lock PDF files

We mostly have Acrobat 9 or X standard licenses and few Pro 9. What I'm looking for is the ability to batch lock PDF files before we post them to consultants or partners.
I know you can lock each PDF via Standard. Pro gives you the ability to batch do it but it makes no sense to upgrade 40 licenses just for that feature. Last resort option would be to create multipage PDFs and lock that vs. the individual but I'd like the ability to do the individual.
The files are being locked down to print at 150dpi only. That way the PDF's can't be imported into Illustrator and saved out to a CAD file.

Photoshop CS 5.1: JPEG & PDF Disappeared

Suddenly, out of the blue, the saving as options for jpeg, pdf, and a ton of other options have disappeared from my Photoshop CS 5.1 (both for 64-bit and 32-bit). They used to be there. I have run updates and even uninstalled and reinstalled the program and still they are gone. I have to open projects in other programs in order to convert them. I can't work like this. Does anyone have a solution of where I can get the file or whatever it is that has disappeared in order to get this working again?

If you're not using High Dynamic Range images, and are trying to create JPEG or PDF - you really should not be using 32 bit/channel images.
JPEG is 8 bit/channel only.
PDF only supports 8 and 16 bit/channel.
Very few formats support 32 bit/channel.
And the addressing mode (32 or 64 bit) of the application has nothing to do with that.

Indesign und PDFs mit chinesisch

Hallo, liebe Mitkämpfer!
(Mitkämpfer im Kampf gegen die Probleme, die uns Adobe aufhalst).
Bevor sich jemand beschwert und meint "dann nimm doch was anderes, wenn's dir nicht paßt": nein, das wäre keine Lösung und außerdem suche ich mir als Angestellter die Software nicht selbst aus, mit der ich arbeiten darf.
Folgendes Problem:
Habe Windows XP und Indesign CS2. Dazu Adobe Reader 9. Jemand in China übersetzt mir ein Excelfile auf einem chin. Windows.
Wenn dieser Jemand aus Excel heraus ein PDF erzeugt, dann erscheint das bei ihm und auch bei mir ganz normal mit chin. Schriftzeichen.
Zudem ist bei mir CJK installiert, also Unterstützung für asiatische Sprachen.
Wenn mir dieser Jemand eine Indesign-Datei übersetzt, zurückschickt und ich öffne die in Indesign - auch ein Problem. In Indesign sehe ich die ganzen chinesischen Zeichen. Also hat Indesign damit anscheinend kein Problem.
Wenn ich das PDF mit dem Reader öffne, ist auch alles OK. Schön in chinesisch. Die Zeichensätze sind alle da.
Aber... wenn ich das PDF nun in Indesign platziere, dann ist es aus damit. In Indesign erscheinen die chin. Zeichen im PDF nur als Punkte und ein aus Indesign heraus erstelltes PDF der Seite, wo das externe PDF platziert wurde, sieht auch nicht besser aus.
Frage nun: was muß ich tun, um das zu umgehen?
Die Lösung wäre nicht, der chin. Jemand erzeugt das finale PDF in seinem Indesign. Das muß auch hier gehen.

Es wird noch bunter. In Excel hab ich ineinem Sheet zwei Tabellen. In den Tabellen jeweils derselbe chin. Text.
Wenn ich das Sheet als PDF ausdrucke, erscheint im PDF der chin. Text in der einen Tabelle korrekt, in der anderen nicht.
Dann hab ich mal geguckt, was Excel da für einen Font nimmt. Der Text, der hinterher korrekt aussieht, ist Arial!!! (obwohl da chin. Zeichen stehen).
Excel zeigt also den tatsächlichen Font der Zelle nicht richtig an. Jedenfalls bei chin. Zeichen nicht.
Man kann in Excel Text in Zellen, der in chin. Zeichen geschrieben wurde, einfach auf Arial umstellen und der Text wird nicht verändert. Wenn er dann als PDF ausgedruckt wird, funktioniert die Fonteinbettung bzw. -ersetzung plötzlich.
Mad world...
Das löst das Problem, PDFs aus Excel heraus zu erzeugen. Doch der Trick funktioniert nicht für Indesign.
Edit: er funktioniert doch, wenn man die richtigen Fonts nimmt. Ich hab jetzt SimHei statt Arial verwendet, dann erscheint das PDF korrekt (einzeln) und auch in Indesign. Ich hoffe, das läßt sich so fortführen.

Eine speicherbare PDF mit Adobe LifeCycle Designer ES 2 oder 8.0 erstellen

Hallo AdobeForumMembers,
ich habe in Adobe LifeCycle Designer 8.0 (FirmenVollversion) ein Formular mit Checkboxen und aussfüllbaren Zeilen erstellt und möchte dies nun in einer PDF speichern, die nach dem Ausfüllen auch vom Endbenutzer abgespeichert werden kann. Wenn ich die PDF mit dem aktuellen Adobe Reader öffne, kann die PDF nicht gespeichert werden. Wie oder wo kann ich diese Einstellung denn ändern? Habe schon die Hilfe und das Forum durchgesucht, aber leider nichts gefunden. Habe mir auch die Testversion von ES 2 installiert, aber auch dort finde ich keine Option dafür.

Ich habe schon bemerkt, dass der LCD bei Acrobat XI nicht mehr kostenlos mitgeliefert wird (sondern ein anderes, mehr dialogorientiertes Tool). Der Grund dafür wurde mir beim Kauf von LCD ES4 aber damit angegeben, dass der LCD für den normalen Endanwender zu komplex sei. Er wird wohl vor allem bei SAP-Umgebungen benutzt. Für mich taugt er aber, weil ich mit JavaScript viel Funktionalität einbauen kann.
Wie sich aus LiveCycle Help | Adobe LiveCycle ES4 Supported Platforms ergibt, wird mit LCD ES 4 & SP 1 auch Windows 8 unterstützt. Insofern ist deine Aussage für mich "überraschend".

Interaktives PDF mit Schaltfläche/Buttons

ich habe ein uneglöstes Problem mit Adobe InDesign CS5. Und zwar muss ich ein interaktives PDF mit Schaltflächen/Buttons erstellen. Das Problem ist folgendes: Ich erstelle eine Schaltfläche wie in folgendem Youtube-Video:

Eigentlich läuft alles in der InDesign-Vorschau so wie es sein soll, aber wenn ich das Dokument in das PDF(interaktiv)-Format exportiere, kriege ich nur Murks raus. Die Schaltflächen funktionieren nicht, es wird nur die Hälfte agezeigt und die Anordnung der Buttons ist plötzlich verschoben. Ich bin bereits den Umweg über ein .swf gegangen um es später in Acrobat in ein PDF umwandeln zu können. Aber auch das funktioniert nur zur Hälfte, da dann plötzlich der Text in Pixel gewandelt wird (obwohl ich beim Export explizit gesagt habe, dass Text in Pfade gewandelt werden soll). Auch sämtliche anderen PDF-Einstellungen habe ich beim Export durchprobiert. Ich finde den Fehler einfach nicht :-(
Hat einer eine Idee, was ich falsch gemacht haben könnte? So langsam werd ich schon schief angeguckt, weil ich damit nicht ausm Quark komme

Ja, eigentlich alles, von oben beschriebenem... Ist das ein Problem? Die Transparenzen könnte ich noch mit einem PSD simulieren. Ebenen müssen uach nicht sein (brauche ich eigentlich nur für meine eigene Ordnung beim Arbeiten). Oder habe ich dich jetzt falsch verstanden, sodass die interaktiven Elemente auf einer gesonderten Ebene liegen müssen?

I'm using Acrobat Pro 9 and I need a way to batch convert PDF files to RTF while maintaining the original folder structure. So for instance, I might get a set of interview transcripts that were conducted with members of 1000 randomly selected households in 3 different cities. Something like this, where the words in all caps are folder names:

As u can see, the folder structure can get quite complicated and it's important to keep it the same. Is there any way I can batch convert without having to open all 1000 files at once (which would crash the computer) or without having to add each subfolder to the Export Multiple Files window?
I also tried saving the original folders and files in a portfolio and then converting the portfolio, but that puts all the converted files in a single folder.

Yes, I've done that many times. It doesn't put them in the correct folder structure, it just puts all the new files in the highest-level folder.
