Batch Material _Restricted Use

Dear Exports,
While posting the stock (Batch Material) in the MB1C is taking as a restricted stock automatically. whats went wrong in the configuration.
if we post the non batch materials in the MB1C transaction, it works fine and posted as as un restricted use.
Generally materials falls in the unrestricted use.
Please let us know what setting i missied for this.
Early response will be highly appriciated as this needs to resolve ASAP.

I have gone through almost all your threads which were marked as "Answered" and observed that in none of your threads, you have awarded points to the contributors who have spared their time and given suggestions which is unfair on your part.

Archiving batch- material used in inspection lot error

Hai,
I am trying to archive a batch, but I do receive the below message:
u201CMaterial is used in Inspection Lotu201D. Message number W4123.
Prior to this I archived the existing Inspection Lot using u2018QM_CONTROLu2019. The status on the inspection lot is now ARCH. There are no other open inspection lots for this material/batch.
I ran MM_SPSTOCK to archive the associated batch number. But still I get message "Material is used in Inspection Lot".
Note We are not using Long term Inspection.. We are in ECC 6.
Did anyone has this same issue before?

Just check the existing batch & Material combination - that particular material -recurring inspection09 is selected or anyone of the batch & Material is QI stock.

Cancel insp.lot for batch material with serial number?

We have a problem with an inspection lot....
A few months ago we made a goods receipt for batch material... it ended up in Q- stock.
The weeks went by and the material was changed ito a serial number material... that process works fine...
But now we want to scrap the material that is batch-handeled ... the inspection dont want to let go.. it want serial numbers... even if I create serial numbers for this the inspection lot
dont let me register any numbers.. So I cant cancel/delete it... And after all I just want to scrap the batch...
Can someone help me?

if stock of that material with serial numbers exist, then scrap that stock and disable the serial number for the material by deleting the serial number profile in the work scheduling view of the material master.
then try cancelling the inspection lot. After cancelling the inspection lot, activate the serial number for that material again and bring back the scrapped stock into the unrestricted use.
Note: please advice the users not to post any stock for that material till you complete this or else block the posting t.code for all the users.

How to do the internal batch no. assignment using SAPLV01

QHow system will get the internal number batch.
A. there are two possiblities assign you batch number at production order before release or assign batch or each GR at the time of executing GR transaction.
QI have config. batch management.
A.In Material master you also have to tick for batch managemnt relevency
QWhat should be the next process.
A. Consult again if any thing missing

MIGO: Searching batches via classes using search help MCH1 (incl. SH MCH1C)

Hello everyone,
I have a strange issue in MIGO on our Development server, and was wondering if anyone else had ever encountered similar problems.
In MIGO, when we choose "Goods issue", and "Other", we enter the material number, plant and storage location. After pressing ENTER, the "Batch" tab appears allowing us to enter the batch. Now, searching for the batch creates a problem, and here is the process:
1. Press F4 on the "Batch" field - this envokes the Search help procedure.
2. Enter the class and the class type on the next screen and press ENTER. A subscreen appears with the class characteristics.
3. Without filling out any of the characteristics, press "Find in initial class" button.
In the bottom part of the screen, the system creates a split to display the results in a form of ALV list, BUT no results are ever displayed.
Here is another piece of information which might be useful. The version of the DEV installation is ECC 6.0, and the patch level for Logistics and Accounting is SAPKH60009. The patch level of the corresponding IDES system is SAPKH60006, and in the IDES system we have no problems with this search through MIGO.
This tells me that there might be a problem caused by the upgrade - but that's not sure, and that's why I ask if anyone else had run into such an issue.
I am an ABAPer, so I approached this problem first by comparing the search helps of the two versions. The collective SHelp is MCH1, but searching batches via classes uses the elementary SHelp MCH1C. I found some differences in the elementary SHelps' function exits, these are included in the SAP note 1020405, and have no effect on the functionality. I even tried "downgrading", and using the search help from IDES, but still got no results. I decided that this was not causing the problem.
Can anybody suggest what might be the cause of the problem? Our MM people tell me there is no customizing for this process, and that it worked on IDES from the very beginning without any problems.

Auto scene cutting on already batched material?

During batching, one can check a box to get the batched video clips divided into scenes (ie. the cuts one had during recording).
Is there a function to do this with already batched material, say with only a section of material? I do this a lot manually in order to get a full overview of my things, and I'd like to save manual cutting time.

I presume you are talking about DV as Premiere does not provide HDV scene detect. There is a reasonably priced, stand-alone program called Scenalyzer that will chop your captured video files into clips using either timecode changes or optical scene change detection.

Batch & Non-batch material - 1 mat. doc - 2 EI automatically

Hi,
I am facing an issue while capturing Excise Invoice (EI) at depot.
If non-batch material and batch material are combined into one material document which is generated after post goods issue (PGI) to create EI, two separate Excise Invoices are getting generated automatically.
But while capturing Excise Invoice for both materials at depot, I am NOT able to capture in T-code J1IG by Goods receipt material documents.
How to handle such case? Could you give us some suggestion?

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

The dbms_mview.refresh is not in de list of public transformations when using the transformation activity.
Does anybody have any suggestion / solution?

Try to import dbms_mview package into OWB repository and use them directly.
The second, easy way - just wrap dbms_mview.refresh into private transformation and use it within your process. I use it in my projects - it works ok.

Material Creation Using BDCs.

I have developed a program for Material Creation using BDC.
Material is Being created and that is working well and good.Here i have a Requirement to update the Newly creted material in Ztable.So when i use call transaction mathod,i have written code for updation under the line CALL TRANSACTION.where in iam getting newly creatde material from MARA table,and so it is working perfectly fine..
But our requirement should be sessions method,so when i use sessions method and exeute the program..we face the problem of updation.
the piece of code for updation is updating previously created material.
Literally speaking only the sessions are created ,when the program is executed,material is not created when program is run.Material is only created when the sessions are processed using SM35,
So how should i do here,where should be the updation code written and where will we get the newly created material in sessions method..
Pls Help me in solving this problem

Want to find out how a batch classification is used

I have previously sent out a message and the idea given was not very helpful.
Anyway, this is my question:
I have found a class and its characteristic which was setup in the system and I would like to know how this classification` is being use in the system.
For example, I would like to know which process (i.e. during goods receipt, during sales order creation, during production, during warehouse) is using this classification to perform their transaction.
Do you know how to find out this kind of information in the SAP system?

Do you want to know how the batch classification is used in general in SAP or how it is used in the system where you found it?
In the latter case make an interview with the users, any process that has to do with stock can make use of the batch classification
In general is classification exact what the word "classification" means. You describe something in more detail in an organized way. Classification is a modification free way to add own "fields" to standard objects, the user can immediately search in classification without an extra effort to develop a search help.
The batch classification can be used in a batch determination to to enable SAP to automatically search for batches with certain characteristics.and assign them to documents like sales order, delivery, goods movements, transfer orders, and production/process orders.

Yes as Velu mentioned you can get the details from STPO.
Note that you have to use field IDNRK in table STPO to check if the material is used as a BOM Component.

Changing Material Type using BAPI

Hi All,
I am trying to change a material. I able to change many fields of the material except 'Material Type' using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA.
Did any one used BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA or any other BAPIs to change the material type of a material? I do not want to develop BDC for the same as of now.

Did you use BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after BAPI_PO_CHANGE.

QM:Setting for Recurring Inspections(every 2 hour)for Batch Material Stock.

I hope, you know necessary settings for my situation. Because on our russian SAP-forum I haven't got answer until now.
Situation:
We have Batch Material Stock on the plant.
And it is necessary to do for that stock Quality Control every 2 hours.
I activete 09 type of control in Material Master.
Create quality specification for material.
Create in QA05 Schedule\ Schedule periodically \ Repeat period - 2 hours.
But it doesn't work - inspection lot does not create.
Who knows what I shall to do?

Everything is ok, but when I want to record result (in qe51n) for inspection point and at the end of the process press the button "Inspection point" -> "Batch carac." -> "Continue" -> error appear "ABAP/4 error during dynamic assign beyond program bounds".
Is it because I haven't edit FM from config 150 Inspection point?
I don't know how to do it. And deside to config all the process before give to edit that FM to our ABAP-consultants.
